Yet the purpose of OSHA is work place safety. This decision is in complete opposition to the purpose of OSHA.

The purpose of OSHA

Is to show up twice a year and issue some bullshit fines

43

Cartels exist to maximize profit and eliminate competition.

Cartels own the politicians and lobbyists who create regulations that create barriers to potential competition.

This is how the grift is played in every single industry.

Extension cords last a long ass time. It's just a conspiracy to sell more extension cords by Big Extension.

Knew someone who was on stilts in shoes. Fine for the stilts, gets down in shoes and slips on steel toes... second fine.

When I was a subcontractor, if I heard OSHA types on site I would tell everyone to take a 30 min break.

9
Montsta 9 points ago +9 / -0

Can confirm. I build roughly 50 houses a year. A lot of my subs leave the site completely when we know osha is coming thru. They don’t want to risk a fine for having a plastic gas can or an angle grinder in the back of someone’s truck with the guard taken off.

5
user2827 5 points ago +5 / -0

I didn't do much residential work, except condo towers (god I would not want to own a modern condo). Residential houses was always the biggest penny pinchers with the most brutal expectations for those pennies. Non-union commercial was key.

The other fun one was the areas where there was definitively no way to reach without standing on the scissor lift, the boss walks by and says that safety doesn't work weekends and if it's done on monday nobody will ask questions and you'll get a little bonus.

The irony is that I saw their power growing and it started as a joke and in a few years was "Oh shit, OSHA, get the tools in the box" (OH&S locally, but same deal)

33
thisisatestof2 33 points ago +33 / -0

A friend of mine is a commercial carpenter it has seen their fair share of bullshit fines. Once they got a OSHA fine for plugging in a bunch of scissor lift to charge overnight about 2 feet from the wall and not placing a cone to mark the trip hazard of said extension cord.

Fine, they went out and brought in cones and make sure whenever said lifts were charging to place a cone next to said extension cord. The inspector came back again for some reason and find them because there was some dust on the cones, But in no way enough to noticeably decrease the effectiveness, so to keep inspector happy, each day, someone had to go out with a spray bottle and some rags and wipe off the cones.

I said this about state provided “therapy”. My son was exhibiting signs of autism, namely extreme food refusal. So we had early intervention come in, which, before we had a diagnosis, turned into feeding therapy - ok, makes sense, then “oh well he could benefit from physical therapy”, and then “he should have more of a vocabulary at (unrealistic milestone age here)” so speech therapy too. Within a month we had multiple therapists coming every day, none of them were on time, ever, and none of them helped with anything. They just dicked around, went through the motions, and then spent like half an hour writing on their stupid clipboards, which we would get a copy of. They would write up all this stuff that they supposedly did that they really didn’t. Eventually they managed to find things they thought my daughter needed therapy for, so they got her into the system too. So every day was taken up by lazy useless therapists who were never on time, didn’t do their job and lied about it, oh and gossiped about other families.

To make things worse, we were living with my parents because we were managing debt and saving up to put down on a house, and the living situation was not ideal because we had to move a lot of stuff around. The dining room was full of things we moved from another room that we needed for a bedroom, so it was kind of a mess, and they started giving us warnings that we had to clean it up. So we got fed up and stopped the services. The funny thing is, while my son was diagnosed with autism, his behaviors improved significantly as soon as we got him out of the therapy and moved into our own home.

Their purpose of their job was to keep their job and to get as many people in the system as possible.

He was supposed to serve as a warning for calling out the international clique

But we are opposed around the world by a monolithic and ruthless conspiracy that relies primarily on covert means for expanding it’s fear of influence, on infiltration instead of invasion, on subversion instead of elections, on intimidation instead of free choice, on guerrillas by night instead of armies by day. It is a system which has conscripted vast human and material resources into the building of a tightly knit, highly efficient machine that combines military, diplomatic, intelligence, economic, scientific, and political operations. It’s preparations are concealed, not published. It’s mistakes are buried, not headlined. It’s dissenters are silenced, not praised. No expenditure is questioned. No rumor is printed. No secret is revealed. It conducts the Cold War in short with a wartime discipline, no democracy would ever hope or wish to match. -JFK

And thus you have the rise of the phrase “conspiracy theorist” to discredit people who looked into the assassination

2
Quietam_Unum 2 points ago +2 / -0

Rush said that is what made the left in America insane. The Kennedy assassination was supposed to the action of rabid right-wing redneck Texas cowboy type. That it turned out to be a communist loving Soviet wannabe caused a kind of cognitive dissonance that the left has not recovered from all these decades later.

Rush being Rush, put it a lot more eloquently than I ever could.

2

3
BillDBlasiosBlackSon 3 points ago +3 / -0

People are certainly not more apathetic now.

3
Dictator_Bob 3 points ago +3 / -0

The Soviet empire were not internationalists. They walled off their world and as Kennedy rightly pointed out, buried their mistakes.

5
War_Hamster 5 points ago +5 / -0

I know where your opinion about the Soviets comes from, but I have a different understanding.

When the global financiers put the Bolsheviks into power, they became frightened that their monster had gotten out of control and was intent on international Marxism. This is why the same parties funded the Nazis to oppose the Bolsheviks.

9
Dictator_Bob 9 points ago +9 / -0

My opinion of the Soviets comes from the actual Soviet people I have known. And many Eastern Europeans who were enslaved and later liberated. Absent of all of their discussions and all of their politics is international financing.

The Soviets were ruthless and brutal. Their system was one of command, dictation, and conscription. It was a grinding power, completely godless, colorblind, heartless, and cruel. Their system spread easily through feudal societies as an alternative to the ramshackle monarchism and fiefdoms that existed in that era.

It does not care your opinion on money, on religion, on liberty, or on creed. It states only that you submit for the greater good as dictated by the party. You are free to do as you please after this, but only after this, and at the dictation of what that should mean.

No one is safe from this system once it takes root.

Kennedy was not discussing cosmopolitan bankers. Pre-war or post war, or cold war. We cannot let the Marxist set up straw men here.

We are and must remain completely divorced from this European folly.

3
OrenthalGMudbone 3 points ago +3 / -0

Check out the book "Wall Street and the Russian Revolution." It's dry, an onslaught of information about all sorts of characters in NYC, Great Britain, and pre-revolutionary Russia, but it is eye opening with regard to how things were engineered in an intricate web.

The wealthy banking and industrial elites with socialist and anti-Tsarist sympathies, American Bolshevik equivalents, and middlemen and spies of the US and Britain worked to funnel millions to the Bolsheviks in a business plan for revenge towards the Tsarist monarchy and securing a foothold for rich financial opportunities in a new regime.

The early Soviets sent a significant amount of Russia's gold reserves and other treasure to the West/US (perhaps as repayment) as they looted the country they just seized. A demolished economy is a ripe opportunity to invest and rebuild, and early Soviet Russia offered lucrative exploitation of oil and other resources for the same interests that funded the whole shitshow.

This is how I generally view socialism/communism now after reading this book. It's a business plan by enormously powerful people to destroy the existing order and consolidate more power afterwards.

Similar to the "woke" (just another strain of Marxism) useful idiots of today, there were definitely true believers of Marx in many echelons of society, but it's likely the true power players didn't give a shit about the "values" of socialism/communism. They simply used the movement as a catalyst for an explosive growth in their own power and wealth, body count and misery index be damned.

Here is a by-chapter review that does a decent job summarizing some main points if you want to check it out.

https://www.gardenofgreatwork.org/post/book-review-wall-street-and-the-russian-revolution-1905-1925-by-richard-b-spence

To your credit, after the early years the internationalist influence declined and Soviet Russia was different Stalin and beyond and during the time Kennedy was killed. We know how horrific and brutal the repression of the government was, the propagandistic hell, the starvation, the gulags. The system doesn't fucking work for anyone except The Party.

We also know from Uncle Yuri, the KGB engineered a complex system of subversion of foreign societies to weaken, destabilize and overthrow them which he told us all about in the early 80s.

I heard he was threatened by Senate saying if he pardons assange he wont have a favorable 2nd impeachment.

7
War_Hamster 7 points ago +7 / -0

I've heard that one too. But he could have easily pardoned Assange long before that.

5
Beaver_Den 5 points ago +5 / -0

And Snowden. Honestly, Trump did little to take on the deep state.

He didn't pardon Assange, Snowden, or any of the J6 protestors. He never vetoed a single budget. He didn't close any agencies or even lower their budgets.

I don't understand why everyone here loves him so much. He talked tough but didn't actually do much. The country stopped getting worse under him, I guess that is pretty good.

We have to raise the bar for our politicians.

4
thallos 4 points ago +4 / -0

True but I imagine he thought that if he didn't directly attack them then they'd play fair. I'm assuming he realizes they would literally assassinate him if goaded too much. These people are absolutely that far gone.

Unfortunately for him they did not play fair at all. At least we all can now move forward without any doubt that the swamp is real and they cheat and steal elections and even the president is virtually powerless to stop them.

He normally listens to major pushback.

5
OrenthalGMudbone 5 points ago +5 / -0

I honestly can't believe he's still talking like this. Even bitching again about the FDA "pause" on Johnson and Johnson because of "only 6 people" with blood clot issues. Absolutely tone deaf. Shut the fuck up about the stupid fucking vaccine dude. At this point no one cares that you made it. The left hates you, recognizes nothing you've accomplished and has already retconned it for Biden. It's THE BIGGEST FUCKING ISSUE for your supporters that are having their livelihoods ripped from them en masse for not submitting to a disgusting government of corrupt tyrants, and you've barely given this frightening issue lip service. You should be putting every company and politician supporting this bullshit on absolute blast, encouraging grassroot action/legal campaigns and orgs, not just saying "well you know, mandates aren't cool, you should have a choice, but you should still totally trust and take it!".

The last thing ANYONE wants to hear right now is how great you are for making this vaccine so fast and available. You got tooled by some of the most evil people on the planet unfortunately. I hate to fucking say it as a huge fan since 2015. But he got tooled, and he can't admit it. He even left them an out in the event they can't crush the size of the control group and the side effects become too apparent to hide. "It's all Trump's fault rushing the vaccine development! He did it on purpose! Russian meddling" Maybe his family is under threat and he just can't say or do much. Idk but it sure is frustrating.

I love to see the real resistance building to all this shit, despite my rant above I'm not blackpilled.

This “vaccine” is giving 40 young people a risk of myocarditis in return for saving the life of 1 morbidly obese person with comorbidities.

In addition, it is leaky so many virus variants have evolved around the basic protection it gives.

TLDR: 4/10 - one of the shittest vaccine humans have ever made.

The vaccinated can carry and spread COVID to vaccinated and non-vaccinated alike. In fact, the tested unvaccinated people would be safer to everyone than the vaccinated. How can they spin that?

2
sustainable_saltmine 2 points ago +2 / -0

"Workplace safety" has nothing to do with someone bringing a virus into the workplace by coming in sick. The employer has nothing to do with a sick employee reporting for work and spreading the illness. The company only has the responsibility to make sure the employer does nothing to make it unsafe like encouraging that person to stay home or protecting against on the job injury.

They're not wrong

Why do employers have efforts to vaccinate their workers at all? Why is it any of their business?

2

Any business that follows that mandate is opening their company to huge Class Action lawsuits , ala Thomas Renz .

GeneralVeers 2 points ago +2 / -0

Then, obviously, the vaccines are not safe and I will therefore avoid them.

Halo-One 2 points ago +2 / -0

If OSHA mandates the vaccine shouldn't any adverse side effects be covered under Workman's Comp?

Ironically terrible reporting standards in everything surrounding the China Virus are a primary reason I'd never consider taking it.

sustainable_saltmine 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yep that was what they said months ago. It's all about silencing any reason you might have not to get the vax.
Still want to know what RIGHT employers have to "vaccinate their employees"?

2
Deplora 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is silly. Employers do not administer vaccines or provide any direct medical care, so there is no reason they would ever be expected to report possible vaccine side effects. Making reports to VAERS is a function of medical professionals and paraprofessionals.

Some employers do tho. Mine just did an on-site flu drive at the office for employees and family on the insurance plan

Deplora 1 point ago +1 / -0

Your employer was not administering the flu shots unless your employer is a health care facility/provider. If someone who received a flu shot during this on-site event has a new symptom after receiving the shot, that might possibly be related to the shot, your employer will not be making a report to VAERS. If the person reports the new symptom to any healthcare provider, that provider (or someone in the organization they work for) will review the matter and decide whether a report to VAERS is warranted. Or the person may choose to make a report to VAERS directly. Anyone can make a report, and that's one of the reasons why raw data from VAERS is utterly unreliable.

There is no reason for an employer to get into the business of making reports to VAERS. If any employee reports a suspected adverse reaction to a vaccine to their employer -- regardless of whether the employer had anything to do with the employee receiving the vaccine -- the employer should direct the employee to see a healthcare provider promptly. Employers have no business getting involved in reviewing an employee's personal health information and making a determination as to whether a certain symptom might possibly be related to a recent vaccination and thus warrant a report to VAERS.

"The vaccines are perfectly safe with no associated risks! We have no recorded reports of adverse reactions!"

"I had an adverse reaction, but you ignored me when I reported it."

"That's because allowing people to report adverse reactions to the vaccines might disincentivize people from getting vaccinated."

"So the vaccines aren't devoid of risk then."

"Don't be ridiculous! The vaccines are perfectly safe! Look, there aren't any recorded instances of adverse reactions!"

Keep in mind Record Keeping requirements do NOT waive liability.

If OSHA gave a shit about safety they would check the levels behind that face mask. It’s been a long time since I was certified for confined spaces but I bet it’s not within acceptable levels. I can’t recall the levels. Someone here probably knows what I mean. I only ever had ti be trained to know when it’s safe to start work and when to stop it. I never actually worked in those spaces. It may have been part of competent person training. I never had to do much of that stuff. I was always busy.

If OSHA gave a shit, majority of workers would be working from home since the virus is so dangerous.

2
Hunter_loves_2_feet 2 points ago +2 / -0

I know you are being sarcastic. I wish I could do construction from home. I have had companies I’ve worked for in the past call me to do stuff over the phone. I can give them advice. That’s about it. If I could do my job from home I wouldn’t leave town. They think they can give me a few details and I can just give them numbers. If that was how it worked I’d be caught up on chores. The training is a joke if a company is in charge. I paid Osha for training. That was easy enough. I had to redo some for a company.... they literally had us change the answers. PEC was the only real test I ever had. They let people redo that over and over. Told them what they got incorrect. It’s multiple choice. Our standards have become very low.

Desert_Covfefe 2 points ago +2 / -0

Osha is on pharmas payroll. Hooray corrupted capitalism

2
RonohWrathmore 2 points ago +2 / -0

You done married a Sasquatch OSHA!!! You have de-legitimized the entire organization with that one statement. and we're the dumb ones... pffff

2
AnthonyS 2 points ago +2 / -0

Why have laws and regulations if the gov’t doesn’t have to follow them? More do as I say, not as I do.

2
Diana 2 points ago +2 / -0

So, the solution is to cover it up. Got it.

2
Brokenmatrix2021 2 points ago +2 / -0

Bullshit fucking propaganda. There's NOTHING in these lethal injections to fight a virus. They actually inhibit your immune system from fighting any pathogens. They're purposely poisoning us period. These fucking monsters need to be destroyed.

2
pursuitoftruth1776 2 points ago +2 / -0

OSHA also refused to enforce it's oxygen mandate, which is violated by wearing masks.

2
Moebius 2 points ago +2 / -0

...and THERE it is..the 'Equal Protection' violation...because the USG is providing those protections and reporting requirements for vaccine injuries for Federal Employees...just not under OSHA...but under FECA...the 'Federal Employees Compensation Act'.
