...not faked, that's how they identify.

Just had a baby. The birth forms literally says to fill out race based on who we identify with the most. Not based on biology.

whybag 18 points ago +18 / -0

I was born in America to two people that were born in America, also born to people all born in America. That makes a native American.

When they constantly discriminate against white people, what do they expect?

2

I'm white as a ghost, but my dad was born in Africa... I'm more African-American than half the black people. They are the ones faking.

I'm white as a ghost

Black people are scared of ghosts. That's why democrats keep dressing up like them.

Elon Musk is my favourite African American

7

Also the richest African American.

4

Ifg only more african americans could take up Elon as a role model, just think they could have had Wakanda back in 1910 BC.

When I was in college we had a dude in my department who was born in South Africa. White dude (well, slightly tan surfer looking fucker).

He got called out for saying he’s “African” during class when someone asked where his accent was from. Some girl started going off on him too about how it’s “not funny” and he’s a “racist”. Dude had the green passport with the shield, spears and bird on it and spoke Afrikaans.

I learned so many slang terms from that dude.

17
Strongocho 17 points ago +17 / -0

One of my best friends growing up was an immigrant from Senegal and I remember him strongly disliking the term "African American" being used to describe American born blacks. He got mad at a black dude for getting mad at a white dude for calling him "black" instead of "African American" and told him "you are not African-American. You have never been to Africa on even a vacation. You are Black. I am African-American."

Elon Musk and (actress) Charlize Theron were both born in Africa. South Africa, but Africa nevertheless.

> The parents of Kumala Harris are immigrants from Jamaica and India. (Like Worst 0bama, she falsely claims to be "African-American" when convenient.)

Didn't they figure it out when you didn't need special ed classes, a personal remedial tutor or summer school?

As long as the statistics improve they really don't care. They want equity on paper no matter the cost

I have since started checking every box when they ask for my race. If it's not a doctor and they ask my gender I do the same.

23
Cdope45 23 points ago +23 / -0

My grandma was full blood Indian. Changed my race in high school and got a scholarship at my university. I also kept in state tuition no matter what my GPA was and didn't have to take the SAT. If I was white I couldn't afford it and most likely would have been kicked out my freshman year.

6
Forbidden_outcast 6 points ago +6 / -0

My great grandmother was. Still shows in a lot of our family members with dark hair and eyes. Skin went all white though

3
Cdope45 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'm white as it get but the government thinks I'm Sitting Bull. If your family has roll numbers you can go through the citizenship process.

I'm also getting a $2k covid relief payment from my tribe. The casinos have been a good money maker.

2
Forbidden_outcast 2 points ago +2 / -0

I have never felt comfortable doing that. She 100% gave up her NA life for my great grandfather, and I never knew my grandfather let alone my great. (Grand died when I was too young to remember.). I was SO happy when at least one of my kids was born with that dark hair and very very very dark brown eyes.

My cousin who has the same great grand, married a man whose mother is full NA. But she, too- is completely Americanized. I do, think, though- that she maintains informal contact and gets some kind of assistance. Hopefully their one kid went to college free, at least. Super smart kid.

21
drsowells1fan 21 points ago +21 / -0

Not just white kids. Filipinos pretend to be Mexican to get into the UC system.

8
Strongocho 8 points ago +8 / -0

My wife is an immigrant from the Philippines and she opened my eyes to why it is fucked up how America uses affirmative action against asians assuming they are all rich kids from Japan or China not understanding that many asian immigrants are from very poor island countries and it is not fair to take someone who grew up without electricity and tell them they are "privileged" because they look like a rich chinese kid who knew 5 languages and played the piano before he was 5.

3
drsowells1fan 3 points ago +3 / -0

Exactly. I don't blame them one bit. And you won't find Filipinos screaming about muh Latinx and stomping on the American flag on the quad either.

Entirely possible. Have a distant family member who thought she was the offspring of a dalliance between her mother and a swarthy John Redcorn who came into town to buy booze and smokes.

My wife has Central American ancestry of Spanish decent. I told my son who has an Irish last name should put Hispanic on his college application. He didn’t do it and was denied entrance into the engineering program despite straight a’s and stellar sat scores. People he knew who were black and Hispanic made it right in despite terrible grades and sat scores.

0
Forbidden_outcast 0 points ago +2 / -2

One of my kids got a full scholarship to state university due to her act score. One of best friends, full Mexican American (didn’t even speak Spanish but his parents did.), scored one point lower, and did not get the same scholarship. She was in no different programs or activities than him- they grew up together in the same advanced classes. It was odd, and sad

10
midareashi 10 points ago +10 / -0

My wife and I joke that our son will have an easy time getting into college. He can put "mixed race" because he is half Chinese, and we named him after one of my favorite athletes so he has a "black" name.

4
SenorTrumper 4 points ago +4 / -0

He wouldn't happen to be Deshawnte Chen?

1
crackerstacker 1 point ago +1 / -0

Is mixed race an actual category? I will have a half Chinese child soon.

9
Strongocho 9 points ago +9 / -0

I NEVER fill in "white" on any type of application. I always either use "other" or "prefer not to say".

5
Forbidden_outcast 5 points ago +5 / -0

I’ve been doing for years. Every since I figured out that it’s being used to divide everyone.

3
one_cool 3 points ago +3 / -0

The department of labor instructs HR to try to determine your race from pictures on the internet if you put no answer or if you have a white name.

9
swutalk 9 points ago +9 / -0

This is fucking hilarious and so very TRUE! If I have a black friend does that get me any credit? lol

5
Boozy_McFuckFace 5 points ago +5 / -0

I loudly and proudly identify at work as Islamic. I told everyone I converted during my time in sandbox. We had a typical middle aged fat woman with a masters in basket weaving as a HR lady and I made sure she knew that I was very Islamic and proud of my religion. If they ever tried to pull some shit on me I was going to sue them for religious discrimination and they knew it.

So far so good.

We have to weaponize their idiocy against them.

6
NvJohansson 6 points ago +6 / -0

There are less than 50,000 people of Swedish descendance in America...

6
MarcusAurelius 6 points ago +6 / -0

I can be "Mixed Race" and so can you.

6
Susurro 6 points ago +6 / -0

Asking race on admission questions should be illegal. Fuck em. Make them prove you're lying.

3
paulej 3 points ago +3 / -0

They want to ensure "racial equity" (i.e., propping up an undeserving person and screwing over another based on race). You just can't be more racist than this kind of behavior.

6
Dutch_Christian 6 points ago +6 / -0

I find this headline very transphobic.

5
Joshua2001 5 points ago +5 / -0

I totally hate all this race stuff. Having been mixed race my entire life I can't be white because I am not white and I can't be native american because I am not pure enough. Hispanic isn't a race or I could claim that. The only thing I can say is mixed race which also isn't a race. I guess this makes me a Raceless.

1
PatriotsFTW 1 point ago +1 / -0

lol racelsss. WE always just said we are Heinz 57. DOnt know what the fuck we are mutts so fuck the race quaetion is what we say.

4

No one who isn't white really seems to lie saying they are white for any reason, guess they don't want that supremacy or privilege...

2
Forbidden_outcast 2 points ago +2 / -0

For real

2
Temp_004 2 points ago +2 / -0

You know, I read through maybe 20 comments about how white people pretend they're something else. And then I read your comment. It's so true, literally just the truth. If this itself doesn't shatter the narrative...I don't know what could.

3

Well yeah.

How else are you supposed to get in as a straight White male.

I was directly told, when I first applied, that my slot was going to a foreign exchange student.

However, I am half Mexican.

I moved here from Europe very recently. I don't understand how Americans can think it's normal having to write race on forms all the time and having it decide your future.

Not only that, but it's based on fairly arbitrary categories. Somewhere in between Turkey and India there is a magical line. If you are born on the wrong side of it your are now Asian and will be massively discriminated against in college admissions. So fucked up.
