Brigham Young

lol, yeah I’m good

CanadianFren -2 points ago +3 / -5

What's wrong with mormons? They've never caused me any problems

8
Perhelion 8 points ago +11 / -3

It’s a cult that believes you can become the God or Jesus of your own planet/universe if you go to church and missionary enough. No different than Scientologists in a lot of ways.

Dialectic 3 points ago +3 / -0

Spicy lol.

Some_Rando_Web_Dev 1 point ago +3 / -2
  1. If you believe what they believe, they've caused you an eternity of problems. 2) They were founded under occult circumstances, and divert massively from Biblical truth. I can go on.. For instance, if you try to leave Mormonism, it's not easy and you could lose everything. I know people who've had to move from Utah because of persecution. Don't get me started on Mormons, it's all marketing.

While I like them as a neighbor, they are bat shit crazy.

And their “prophet” Joseph whatever, is a liar, criminal, and POS.

Anyone who believes in the Moron/Mormon bible is NOT a Christian

2
Some_Rando_Web_Dev 2 points ago +2 / -0

LOL @ the username... Anyways, yeah, I understand. On a social level, they're nice and all that. But get into it and then try to leave it.. Then you find out it's all bullshit marketing.

Kamalas-Snatch 1 point ago +1 / -0

Thanks for nothing pal :)

I agree 100%

As much as I disagree with them, I respect their right to believe what they do.

Kind people, but brainwashed for sure. Jesus and God don’t require a tax, pay to pray, Killery style of worship is just wrong.

Not the 'Turn your cheek' Jesus, but the one on the horse reigning in blood.

That or we can get Noah back for round two.

The average Mormon is more Christian than the average Christian.

People complain about the Churches history, apparently forgetting that Catholics exist.

1
Perhelion 1 point ago +6 / -5

Not at all. Mormons are in a cult and uses texts from their own “prophets” simultaneously as they mix it in with the Bible. They also believe you can be your own God or Jesus one day if devout enough. None of that falls in line with Christianity.

3
christopherroos 3 points ago +6 / -3

I would bet most mormons have spent more time studying the new testament than most Christians. 100%.

1
Kamalas-Snatch 1 point ago +2 / -1

Hahahaha okay.

Hey wanna look in my hat?

So funny joe smith was arrested for FRAUD. Idiots!

2
runonce 2 points ago +2 / -0

The only person that would down vote your comment is either ignorant of the facts about either religion or Mormon themselves. The only caveat I would add would be that stating Mormonism is a cult is an opinion and obviously varies upon who you're talking to. I believe Mormons to be good people and you can usually trust them unless they're Mitt Romney. They are however in no way SHTF people. I don't consider them to be Christian by any stretch of the imagination.

matrik 5 points ago +6 / -1

Not a fan of hating Mormons for being Mormon. What if they are spiritually asleep?

I know a lot of really great Mormons. They do a lot for their communities and some are incredibly based.

"And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith."

Acts 15:9; specifically about circumcision, but generally Jews v. Gentiles.

Full disclosure: I'm new to being a good Christian and this is the first time I've ever quoted the Bible, or ever felt the need to. God works in mysterious ways.

Mormons believe many doctrines that are absolutely against the clear teachings of Scripture. For instance, it is clear in the NT that there is no longer any more revelation from God and that the Canon is closed (The addition of the book of Mormon is absolutely to be rejected). The NT also warns you of false teachers (Hint: They don't come with a name tag that says "False teacher") that will pervert the grace of God into sensuality. Mormons believe in polygamy (and despite what they say, they still practice it). Mormons also believe that a woman must marry a man if they are going to be saved (Let's just say that's not the case in the Bible without going through all the stupid waste of time to try to debunk such nonsense). They believed (past tense until they realized this doctrine was not going to sit well with the American populace) that black people were demons. I could go on but I think you get my point. They're "nice" people on paper and in social settings, but that's where it ends. It's all marketing my friend.

matrik 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm not saying they are right or good servants of the Lord.

I'm just saying, many of them, especially the ones with good morals, could be saved by Christ.

I won't deny my neighbors.

1
Some_Rando_Web_Dev 1 point ago +1 / -0

Also, good morals do NOT save anyone. Your good days are nothing compared to all of the sin that God sees from you. No ONE is righteous, no not one. That is Biblical truth. God says in Ephesians 2:8-9, it is explicitly clear that no works can save a man.

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. Eph. 2:8-9

COULD be saved by Christ. Correct. All people, anywhere CAN be saved by Christ. Not ALL people ARE saved by Christ.

If you believe Mormon DOCTRINE, unfortunately, that's another Gospel and Jesus is explicitly clear on other gospels, whether you deny them or not.

2
matrik 2 points ago +2 / -0

All great points. But I have cousins who grew up in the Mormon church. Like brainwashed liberals, they just haven't had exposure. They don't yet know that their religion is wrong in the eyes of God.

Hilareeeeee 4 points ago +4 / -0

Now is not the time to bash Mormons . We need all the allies we can get . I have the feeling we may have more in common with radical Islam than the radical left.

EllemenoP 2 points ago +8 / -6

No Mormon silliness. Brigham Young, 🙄 yuck, double yuck.

More actual Jesus Christ please.

They can't really go door to door anymore. Too dangerous. Plus, most Christians understand that it's a false system.

Which brand of Jesus do you want? “Prosperity” Pyramid scheme? AntiChrist Popist? Yabbadabba crazyfolkin? Anything-to-please Pastorelle? Pass-the-Plate Building Bishop? Refugees Welcome Matt-hew? Sing-along Rock-roll?

Not many churches even read from actual scripture these days — a far cry from dissecting Greek translation historical insights to words used in King James English, most Christians quote watered-down “modern” translations nearly devoid of any meaning. I heard a 21-yr old kid read the “Ten Commandments” off some internet site the other day (because of course they didn’t know them by heart) and it was shit like “Be nice to your mom & dad”.

It hasn’t been “mainstream” churches leading the fight — including the Morans and the Cathlicks — although those two at least provide a rich source of academically sound liturgical materials for study on one’s own. I feel like I can count on one hand the Christian priests or pastors who stood up and boldly said “NO” to evil last year, and most all of them were sidelined or cut out from their ecclesiastical organizations.

Most Christians made conformity and “niceness” their only standard, missionary metrics and “fellowship” corralling their calling, and fundraising and federal immigration resettlement contracting their gospel.

They exchanged the Armor of God for the Globalist’s mask and the mark.

EllemenoP 5 points ago +5 / -0

I absolutely agree with you Pede. That is the state of so called 'faith' today. But of course, Christ told us it would be this way didn't he. I get my scripture studies online because there's too many weak churches that have been guted of the holy spirit, just as you've stated.

2
runonce 2 points ago +2 / -0

Wasn't sure I was going to upvote this post 'till I read it all the way through. LOL if you don't have a greek-english concordance you haven't really delved into Christianity. You don't need to to be a Christian obviously but it helps with perspective obviously.

2
MarkSuckABug 2 points ago +2 / -0

I see where you're going with this, and I won't say too much cuz that's not how it is, and I don't want you to persist in that thinking...

But I'll say this: God wants to relate to us an he uses human relations as a "picture" of how the relationship should be. God is the "Father," and the relationship should mirror how we relate to our earthly father's. The Church, as a corporate entity, is called Christ's "bride". We are "sons" and "daughters" of God... etc. ... There are lots of similar examples in the Bible, if you're interested.

I should also add that our destiny as Christians is as spiritual beings, not fleshly.

Less imaginary friends in general for me. But, I support the right of the individual to believe whatever magical claims in old books that an individual chooses.

-2
Fuck_Your_Vaccine -2 points ago +2 / -4

No imaginary friends for me, thank you very much. While people can believe whatever magical claims they want, society is much better off when the majority of people can think for themselves.

1
Poopybuttboy 1 point ago +1 / -0

You must prefer the free thinking magical claims of degenerate trannies teaching your kids about oral sex with adults. So heckin wholesome

0
Fuck_Your_Vaccine 0 points ago +1 / -1

Nope, I prefer evidence and reason. Magical thinking is what gets people killed.
