Pete is telling a half-truth - the 'best' kind of lie.

It is true that roads were built with bridges low enough to discourage buses on Long Island New York, south eastern Connecticut and other places, but it had nothing to do with race it was class discrimination against people who couldn't afford cars.

Robert Moses designed most of those. He didn't act out of racist motivation; he plowed under any neighborhood in the way of one of his projects - black/white/brown - it didn't matter. Historians of the last 50 years prefer to throw him under the bus, rather than focus on things like post-depression job creation. Moses was no angel, but he wasn't a devil either. He was a man of his times, and not the only one that the left likes to crucify on the cross of modern standards.

Part of the bloat in the infrastructure bill is to 'fix' this. Translate that as "This money goes to New York" The fix will be more destructive than leaving it as is, with lots of money going to the 'right people.'

Republican sees smoke, says "there must be a fire."

What about all the people at the front of the bus?

Hey wait a minute, do minorities have taller busses than white people do? That's unacceptable, I demand my buses be the tallest.
