Do pushups. Curl weights, or rocks if you have to. Intermittent fast. Eat eggs. Eat chicken. Eat peanuts. Sip enough water to pee clear once a day. You WILL lose the chub. You WILL attract thicc ladies. Stop eating cereal. Don't eat bread if you can help it.

No gas station food. No ice cream (especially not ben and jerries). No desserts when you can help it. No mcdonald's.

All you need is hard boiled eggs. Set them out, let them get room temp, lower them into simmering water, simmer 14-15 minutes, shock them in very cold water, let them rest, peel them, zip lock them with a sprinkle of salt, and eat those when you're starving.

I lost 50 pounds doing this and have eaten garbage intentionally just to see how much I can gain back when I don't pay attention and it's not even a couple of pounds. Good habits live forever.

Yea I'm not sure I buy the "loose fat cells" explanation either. Being well hydrated obviously has its benefits, don't need to try to sell snake oil to push the idea that people should be well hydrated.

This is a good starting workout that anyone can do. The key to just starting is to not over do it. Take your time. Substitute high impact movements with lower impact ones. Instead of jumping when doing jumping jacks, side step back and forth while still doing arm movements.

Keep control of your movements, the point is to exercise your muscles, so just throwing your arms or legs around is only half the work. Even if you can't do the entire exercise in one sitting, spread it out over the day.

I recommend weight lifting gloves, primarily for the gripping ability when doing ground movements. If you can't easily do certain exercises, then substitute them with an easier one until you can. Over exerting yourself is just going to cause injury, which will only reduce your ability to have an effective work out, or stop you from working out altogether.

Another key is "gains". That means you must rest a few days here and there, in order to allow muscle to repair and build up. Exerting yourself every day can result in muscle loss over time, because you're losing muscle faster from damage than it can be repaired and replaced. People get buff by lifting heavy weights for less reps, then resting for a few days.

The key to weight loss and fitness isn't just exerting yourself. You need to build muscle, because a bigger muscle uses more energy, which increases how quickly you can burn calories. Without these principles you won't really lose weight or even get toned, your progress will simply plateau, and while tasks might be overall more effortless, you don't get the weight loss and strength increases you're looking for. Before weight loss can occur, muscles must be built up. This can take weeks and months, but once you get going, everything speeds up.

Abs don't really come from doing ab exercises, they come from losing belly fat. You can get abs without ever doing a single sit up. Sit up's are actually one of the least useful exercises a person can do, and more likely to lead to injury, especially in out of shape people.

When you burn fat, it doesn't just come from the area surrounding that muscle. Fat is turned into blood sugar, and that blood sugar is where muscles get their energy from, so fat from anywhere will be transformed into blood sugar without working out that specific area.

Even if you have to start out for 10-15 minutes a day, keep it up, and after a few weeks you'll be able to do more. Again, low impact and controlled movements. Slow down if you need to. Know your limits and keep it up every day until it's easier, and your limits will increase, without injury.

Make sure to take 1-2 rest days per week.

Started going to the gym a week ago, I'm now used to waking up sore every single day... Yet I feel better than ever. It's crazy how much exercise improves your mood.

BTW if you're overweight you should probably work on that first. Don't expect strength exercises to help you lose weight. Also fatties get injured very easily. If there's a swimming pool near you (or beach in the summer) swimming is by far the best exercise for you. No pressure on your joints, no sweating, and it uses basically every muscle group. Plus all that fat means you float easily! And of course, none of that matters if you pound a soda or two afterwards. Diet is king for weight loss. You cannot burn calories as fast as you can stuff them into your mouth, it simply isn't possible.
