Wife left and moved to her parents in Oklahoma. I was able to find new work that would get me up there too, so I could remain in my kids lives.

The past month has been hard. I know everyone has it rough in one way or another, so I’ll try to not whine.

I haven’t had anything to eat in days. used everything on getting up here. When she left, it wiped me out and I still haven’t gotten to a good place yet.

Get paid the first week of December, though. Just gotta make it until then.

Got a half tank of gas in the truck. Asked work for an advance and they said they can’t due to policy and the food banks I’ve found aren’t open when im off work.

It’s like they only want to help those who won’t help themselves.

Is anyone here in the OKC area who could possibly help with some food?

Go to a local church. You should be able to find one to help you out.

Praying for you, fren. Doing whatever you need to be a good father will be rewarded. Keep the faith and pray. Also, maybe find a church....they might be able to help with food and gas:)

Search for local churches and food banks in your area. Maybe they can give you tips on affordable housing as well.

Thanks to you and everyone for commenting. At work , so I can only respond during break. Every single church or food panty I talk to says I have to come during their office hours m-f. I work 6 days, 10 hours a day and they are closed before and after work.

Definitely find a local church. I know a Church group in nowhere Paden (Bout an hour east of OKC) does a monthly food distribution, not sure when Their next one is though. I believe it’s called “on white horses” and can be found on FB. If you can’t find info about it PM and I’ll see if I can find more info from the in-laws.

I heard of a guy who bought a bag of dried lentils and a fresh green cabbage. He cooked the lentils in a little water in the public microwave at a gas station. Plastic bowl not metal. He ate the cabbage raw. It was ok, he said.
