He's just trying to empty the reserves. If he wanted to lower energy costs he would re open the pipelines, vacate the WH and let the real guy fix everything he's breaking. Would take Trump about 2 days.

He's trying to get rid of the "I did that" stickers on the gas pumps. :)

Fucking retard. How long is this going to succeed in reducing gas prices $0.02/gal before we run out of reserves and watch people affected by natural disasters freeze or drown?

I wouldn’t accept these imbicilic, reflexive “solutions” that don’t solve a problem from my 9 year old (who would coincidentally be a better President).

WTF is that going to do?!?! In 2020, the United States consumed an average of about 18.19 million barrels of petroleum per day,

It's going to empty the strategic reserves and cripple our ability to use them strategically.

Came here to point out this was 2.5 days of use. Good call, pede.

Adding a tablespoon full of oil, does nothing to bring down prices, when you have increased the money supply by nearly 35 % in a year and half or so, and oil is only priced in US dollars.

But it's good kabuki theater for the stupid.......

I'll wait for the nice dip on oil stocks because of people too stupid to realize reserves run out.

This should be considered an act of treason.

Dumbass.

It won't work. This is what you get when a puppet president has children for handlers. He's only trying to slow down his falling approval numbers.

Agreed, but it gives him a headline and he s able to say that he s trying. Its bs. Just like the "talk" he had with the LA port. Keeping them open 24 hours a day was a theater, and did absolutely nothing to address the real problem

But “climate change” is the biggest threat to America rights, Joey? 50 million barrels gets us 3 days of energy use.

I thought the pResident had no ability to lower gas prices.

This is like when you use your emergency fund to buy a boat. It's all fun and games until your daily driver throws a rod.

My only plan is to have nothing and be happy. /s

Is he going to do it next week as well?

Pipelines and drilling bad, strategic reserves good.

Doesn't this mean that the strategic oil reserves can be used in market volume calcs? I had assumed that it was meant as a bank that could only be used in certain instances and thus not a part of the overall volume available to the market. Don't they do some tricks with oil that has not been pumped that's different than say copper ore which would be considered reserve while it's still in the ground? I think this is a lot more than bringing the oil prices down.

So ClusterBiden decided the US deserves some it’s strategic reserve that the administration has been draining and exporting at record rates to other countries. Woo hoo. Continuing a planned phony crisis and ensuring we’ll have a real crisis sooner than later.
