I work in Commercial AV. Think corporate conference rooms and auditoriums, that kinda stuff. I'm currently a Field Engineer, the guy who goes out once an installation is complete and gets the system up and running.
Lately, more and more clients are requiring anyone who enters their site must be vaccinated. To put it another way, my company isn't forcing this, our clients are. My company is ok with me being unvaccinated but the list of client sites I can work on shrinks every day.
It finally came to a head yesterday where my boss reluctantly asked if there was any possibility of getting the vax as he'd be disappointed to lose me. I told him what he already knew, that I have zero intentions on getting the clot shot.
I've got a meeting with HR this afternoon and may not have a job by this evening.
The only upside I see right now is I do have a lot of valuable skills/certs in my field and the job market looks good. I just pray I can find something else that will fit my choice of not being vaccinated.
Wish me luck, pedes!
Update: The HR meeting went exactly as expected, pushed to affirm that I refuse to get vaccinated. My response was simply my personal medical choices are my private information. All I'm asking for is reasonable accommodation, maybe a lateral move to a non client-facing position like programming or engineering, both of which are within my ability. The request was denied and I was laid off. Typing this in the company provided Uber ride home now, no mask of course.
Make them fire you and then sue.
First you have to demand a religious accommodation. If they deny, and then fire, then sue.
No. Don’t play the game. Once you start filling out paperwork, you’re playing their game by their rules. They will keep making up new rules. Want to wear double masks, a face shield, and be anal swabbed every day you show up to work? Go ahead and file for an exemption.
Anyway, do you think the customers who want him jabbed will be all like “Oh, you have a religious accommodation? Come right on in.”
Vaccine mandates are unconstitutional. Filling out paperwork lends legitimacy to the entire process. You don’t need an exemption from an tyrannical decree.
The Nazis made the Jews fill out plenty of paperwork.
Agreed… At this point, there is no legal mandate. Make them fire you. Contact an attorney NOW…. Plenty of resources online about it.
"OK, then you need to be tested twice weekly."
Two weeks later:
"OK, you have to start paying $65 per test."
Two weeks later:
"To be safe, we are switching to daily testing for non-vaccinated workers."
Didnt one guy a few weeks back say they tested their guys like between each job or some shit.
Like every 3 hours. I remember this post.
i know right. I almost filed a religious accomodation thing. but i didnt. it doesnt stop there. they do not own you. as soon as you request the accomodation they own you.
the only thing id accept is free weekly test at home if theyre really that scared of symptomless covid. thats it.
Nah, I'll just mail-in my COVID test results. Most secure test ever, right?
ya lol
You not understanding how the law works is your problem, and your fault. Not mine.
If you get fired for not getting jabbed, you are being fired “with cause”. Meaning you aren’t going to be eligible for unemployment (most states anyway) and you will lose any lawsuit against your company. You need to file a request for religious accommodation. If they reject that, then you have grounds for a lawsuit.
It's not a valid cause a boss can't fire someone for having cancer or being pregnant. Firing someone because of a medical reason is suable, I think you don't know the law.....
The issue with this argument is that they're stating "you" are putting others safety at risk by not being jabbed. Where as pregnancy or cancer does not and thus they would be discriminating if they fired you for this reason.
It's FUBAR, but just explaining the difference between the two.
Edit: Some seem to think I am justifying the actions of employers. I am NOT. I am simply stating why employers are getting away with discriminating against the pure bloods until challenged in court. It's only after we sue do we win for wrongful termination.
Laughably wrong. I was fired way back in the beginning for refusing to wear a mask. Got a lawyer, filed lawsuit, within a week the company caved to the tune of 1 year severance with full benefits. This is in a at will work state (NY).
No the only entity that can half-way legally fire as of now for this illegal shit is health care facilities.
how did you get a good lawyer? i think a lot of people arent experienced and need to do the exact same thing.
Who's your lawyer? Does he provide service for CA residents? I was fired for not wanting to wear a mask too.
Do you have any more info on where to start something like this? I'm not typically the litigious type so I wouldn't know where to begin.
Tell em you have AIDS. They will never fire you once they hear that.
No sir, tell them you are Muslim. They will stfu if you say Mohammad denounces it and you’re calling CNN at once
The burden of proof, i.e., that the vax will protect you, and that the unvaxxed put the vaxxed at risk, must lie with the employer.
Of course, but they will fire you and the burden is then placed on you to sue them. Employers are vastly unchecked lately.
Doesn't being Clot Shotted mean your are genetically different from those cultists? If so then you can sue due to genetic differences.
W.
Then where do you draw the line, people with aids, hepatitis, stds, etc should literally be unhirable from now on if this is the case. If other's safety is the problem jobs that are risky should no longer exist. I get your point it just isn't a good argument, humans share sickness because we live in large communities and the only way to "fight" a virus is to go back into the country away from cities and have our lives be more independent of one another.
I can fire one of my employees for any reason except race, religion, or sex.
But we aren’t talking about cancer or getting pregnant. We are talking about a “vaccine”, snd that’s very different.
You're here as a shill for vaccines from the demonic pharmaceutical companies. Either that or you're a sheep who will die from vaccine side effects during the upcoming dark winter.
Where did I say I will take the vaccine, took the vaccine, or have encouraged others to take it?
You're the one who doesn't understand the law. Vaccine mandates are ILLEGAL. That means against the law.
Let's say resident Biden next tells companies they have to comply with a new LGBTQ+ tolerance mandate that requires proof that you are not a homophobe by receiving multiple homosexual injections. You think if they fire you "with cause" for refusing anal rape without a religious exemption you don't have grounds for a lawsuit?
Look in the mirror. You're already brainwashed into the "new normal".
Doesn't a private company have grounds to make their own rules and let the market dictate the outcome.
Define "private company". Is a company that sells public stock a "private company"? I work for Southwest Airlines and am being told I have to get the jab. Nowhere in my contract does it say I have to submit my body to injections.
Not long ago, if you wanted to work in Hollywood, you might be required to perform certain sexual behaviors for Harvey Weinstein. I guess he can make his own rules, right? What did he do wrong?
Any company that received ppp money should not be considered private. You gave money to the company
By Private I mean every company that is not a government entity. This includes all sorts of companies. I understand it's stupid to mandate these unsafe jabs however what I'm saying it is their company to do as they wish. Unless there is a rule out that says it is against the law to force mandates (which Trump would have done if he was in office) otherwise companies are free to do as they wish (not illegal, of course).
All must follow the law.
People get pissed at me for posting, but an employer can mandate an injection, during a pandemic to "protect" employees and clients. The angle people need to push is that this injection is not fda approved comminarty or whatever that fda approved one is, not the current EAU one being used.
https://www.natlawreview.com/article/federal-court-upholds-employer-s-covid-19-vaccine-mandate
go into the EEOC link and review accommodations. They can wiggle out of religious if they want.
Mandates aren’t against the law. They are unconstitutional, absolutely. But sadly we see “constitutional” and “lawful” doesn’t line up where they should.
Exactly
Good grief. Anything that is unconstitutional is against the law.
https://constitutionus.com/constitution/the-supreme-law-of-the-land-in-the-usa/
Go ask boomers why they allowed seatbelt laws and shit like that to pass
You had me till the end, not gonna lie
Can't believe you guys still don't get it. There is no political or judicial solution to the problem plaguing the entire country.
I mean, yeah, I’m well aware of that. But there aren’t enough people willing to go 1776 yet. So here we are.
There actually are more than enough. They are simply waiting for the signal from their general (Trump).
This. We're waiting for orders. Unfortunately it will not be from Trump. He's too safe.
And you're going to be waiting for a long time. Because that general has been neutered, best case scenario. Or was on a leash the entire time, worst case.
One size advice doesn’t fit all.
Given what was stated here it’s likely there are previous communications with his boss which would preclude this.
Agreed, it all depends on what he has said and how he said it. I believe you could reasonably argue “hey, two things can be true at once…I can both believe jab mandates are unconstitutional AND have a religious objection to them”. I doubt any of what was said was documented in any way, which would give him leverage with a EEOC complaint and lawsuit. That’s why the religious accommodation request rejection is crucial…that’s documented. As long as you word it correctly, focus on your religious beliefs, then you’ve got a chance.
The thing is there was never really any asking WHY I wouldn't do it, just that if I didn't get it done then there was no work they could actually schedule me for thus no need for me.
That definitely helps if you’ve never stated a non-religious reason why you won’t get it. You are in a tougher situation since it’s not your employer demanding it, but customers to your employer. I can’t help but believe, though, that there is a reasonable (key word there) accommodation for you.
They can wiggle out of the religious accommodation. Read the link within the following for the EEOC and accommodation. Two lawyers have told me that there is no grounds. The key, is that this injection is NOT fda approved. Commairty or what ever the name is was approved. This one is on a EAU, experimental.
https://www.natlawreview.com/article/federal-court-upholds-employer-s-covid-19-vaccine-mandate
Not necessary. There is no actual mandate from the fed government, and if there were, it would be illegal. Wait to get fired, then sue.
There absolutely is a mandate from the federal govt demanding federal workers and contractors have to get the shot. I work for a federal contractor. I KNOW for a fact that this mandate exists. Why do you insist on telling this lie that it doesn’t exist?
Sorry, if you wrote that you're a federal emplotee, I missed that part.
You do know "mandates ARE NOT LEGALLY BINDING.
Source: Me, I won against Andy rapist bullshit mask mandate way back over a year ago.
? What is it that you all don’t understand about this? It doesn’t matter whether it’s legally binding or not. Federal contractors are going along with it. They aren’t going to risk angering daddy govt and losing out on those oh-so-sweet taxpayer-funded lucrative contracts. It’s all about the money.
Fact is it can, has been, and will continue to be litigated AGINST successfully. If you like to be taken advantage of that's cool, stop spreading bullshit.
In most cases a nice threat from a lawyer is all that is needed. Most of the time an actual court appearance isn't even necessary. I ended out of court settlement of over $100k with a $5k retainer and a few phone calls and a lawsuit filed that was later settled out of court a week later.
Doesn't matter what "they" say, Fact is they have no legal leg to stand on AND they know it.
I've been looking for this mandate. Got a link to it? I'm want to see a copy of the actual executive order.
Don’t be an asshole. A quick web engine search will pull it up for you.
I seriously can't find it. And apparently you can't either.
You're the asshole to claim it exists but refusing to post a link.
There is no executive order that mandates vaccination. Prove me wrong.
Stupid goddamn mother fucking faggot. You better fucking reply back and acknowledge that you fucking read this and it fucking exists.
https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/presidential-actions/2021/09/09/executive-order-on-ensuring-adequate-covid-safety-protocols-for-federal-contractors/
So there it is, cocksucker. There. It fucking exists. I fucking proved you wrong, you lying fucking retard. 30 fucking seconds on a fucking web browser. It’s right there. I’m black and white. Fucking moron.
Yeah but hopefully a judge will look at it.
Then go work for Trump bc his audio guys when he was POTUS was hot garbage..to the point of doing it on purpose
I know a guy that did this for the campaign rallies. He was constantly fighting SJW’s that thought it was funny.
I'd love this, but I don't do that kind of work. I'd love to handle the AV solutions for his properties, though!
Ahh, America.
If you need the job, just fake the card. HR Doesn't want trouble and there is no way to prove something is real or not real.
That's fine until they decide to verify. Which is easy to do with these vaccination records being in a database.
Then it's a criminal offense.
No, it's the principal. I am not getting it and I will not lie about it either. I can understand why others might, though.
I'll be fine for a while as I look for another job.
Do you have any more info on where to start something like this? I'm not typically the litigious type so I wouldn't know where to begin.
Tell them you have medical and religious exemptions. Make it known you will be pursuing a lawsuit if they fire you. Their customers don't get to violate your civil rights by proxy.
Plan out everything you're going to say. Read it out loud from a notepad if you have to. Specifically mention that you've had a history of poor reactions to vaccines and you have a religious objection to any vaccines that utilize aborted fetal cells based on your Christian faith. You want to make it known that your employer is violating your civil rights. Then if they still fire you, do research and FIND A LAWYER.
Don't just roll over. If they fire you, you have a good chance at making up ALL of that money + damages. Employers are freaking out now that OSHA has backed down from the mandate because now there's no immunity.
Use a religious exemption.
Use scripture to back up what you say:
(1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
In Psalm 139: 13-16
Use the use of fetal cell lines used in lab tests
HEK 293 cells were used by Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Moderna . On October 9, 2020 NBC news wrote an article that states:
"Three Covid-19 vaccine candidates that have received federal funding through the White House’s Operation Warp Speed have also used cells from fetal tissue in their research. AstraZeneca and Moderna both used the HEK293T cell line in early studies on their vaccines. Johnson & Johnson used a different cell line called PER.C6, also derived from fetal cells, to test its vaccine’s effectiveness against Covid-19. *"
Show what hek293t cells and the per cent cells are.
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mothers womb” (Psalms 139:13).
The only issue is that your job has not required the stab for you so they want to fire you for a non requirement?
This is great info, but what happens when (as I've seen in at least one other thread) the HR officer says "we don't think your beliefs are genuine" and proceeds with termination anyway?
It won't hurt you to try. Keep fighting. Have faith in the Lord. He is the only one who makes mandates that we MUST follow.
If you try and they shoot you down, fight with everything you have. Also see liberty counsel for next steps.
https://lc.org/exempt#denied
https://lc.org/contact
I thought mine would get denied. I have not been very religious for quite some time. Ut re-found Jesus during the coof. I prayed, others prayed for me and it was accepted. I was willing to lose my job and find another line of work. God is good.
I have also gone back to Jesus in the last two years.
Feels like end times. Time to get right with God because there are a few hills I’m ready to die on.
Thank you, pede.
Then you have grounds for a civil rights suit.
Just tell them that you are allergic to polyethylene glycol, which is abundant in the mrna shots, so your doctor recommends that you NOT take the vaccine. Your company CANNOT try to find out if that is true by asking your doctor or by any other means because then they will be violating HIPAA at that point.
Doctors are not generally writing medical exemptions. You will have to have this documented. A doctor told me that the medical bard is scrutinizing all doctors that write medical exemptions.
If you read the guys post- it's the customers site that are requiring vaccinations, not his employer. His employer doesn't care but it's the customers that are the problem. he can't sue those folks.
It doesn't matter. You can't be fired even as a contractor if your company's customer base demands that your civil rights be violated. This is no different than a customer telling a company they don't want black service techs. You can't shift blame in civil rights lawsuits.
Make your employer stand by their contract with you. They have no right to fire you for a medical and religious decision.
Actually, that is an outstanding argument. Be sure to include the racial bit in the lawsuit.
This website is quite full of people that know nothing about at will employment. Yourself included. You can file all the paperwork you want but at the end of the day when you’re effectively useless, at best you can get unemployment for a while. It’s pretty easy to say what you are all saying from arm chairs and keyboards until you have to feed yourself.
Then to make things even better, when you go to find a new job and they find out why you were let go, they know they can hire you for chump change.
What if the next customer demands only men techs? Or Indian females that meet a certain bangability quotient? When does it stop?
Im curious what that bangability quotient is? Lol
Why indian females that meet a certain bangable quotient??
They’re trying to pass the buck, same as my employer. They say “garsh, we don’t want to do this, but the federal contractor mandate.. gee whiz we just can’t help it!”
Bullshit. It’s passing the blame.
if the clients are vaccinated, what's the problem? Their vaccines don't work?
Logic has no plave in insane clown posse world.
You're smoking crack if you think the vaccines (not vaccines) have a 90% efficacy.
85 % more or less, infection protection
What? Are you insane? 85 is your retort to the dude who said 90%?!
"It found that although two doses of either vaccine offered good protection against delta, a single dose of either vaccine was only around 30% (95% confidence interval 25.2% to 35.7%) effective against the variant." https://www.bmj.com/content/374/bmj.n2029
That 90% number is like a year ago. It just keeps dropping
"The effectiveness of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine against any SARS-CoV-2 infection was about 20% among patients in Qatar 5 to 7 months after administration of the second dose"
https://www.healio.com/news/primary-care/20211006/pfizer-vaccine-effectiveness-diminishes-against-infection-not-severe-disease
More links in the article to sources
Stand corrected. Vax 85% against Alpha in first 6 months. Practically worthless for Omicron.
My bad but the way you phrased it sounded like giving credence to the argument of 90% efficacy
How to tell me you're a shill without saying you're a shill.
You can't acknowledge something that is incorrect. What they're doing is making shit up.
If they are only 90% then they shouldn't be mandated. 90% is on the very high side for the original strain. It is sub 50% for the Delta strain, and goes down after time.
If you believe the "delta strain" media invention, welp...
There is such a thing. What the media says about it is something different.
I think he means calling it Delta when it's more than likely the "vax" causing injuries.
Delta is Vax Injury/The "Jab" causing symptoms.
That or it's damaging the immune system enough that people can get infected. That's the only way to explain the correlation with max vaxed countries and their exploding rates.
The "vaccine" exacerbates the problem instead of helping.
The variants are mostly an excuse to redo the things that haven't worked.
Once the public is fully against the "vaccines" for example, there will suddenly be a "much better vaccine" for a new variant.
"I am unsure of my vaccination status at this time. If you are requiring my personal medical information as a condition of continued employment, I'll need a note in writing in order to request the information from my primary care physician."
If I am required to divulge my personal medical information, including vaccinations and testing for communicable diseases (Covid); then you will legally have to post ALL persons medical records to inform us of any communicable diseases, and vaccinations that may pose a risk to our health.
And just like that, it stops.
After they fire you, start your own biz doing the same thing and control your own destiny.
Yup. This is where its at man. Start your own business, get your 1099 up and running, file your permits, and start working. Once you have a small foothold in your industry, get an office of your own. After about a year, when people start contacting you by word of mouth, start spreading the word that you refuse to work in a place that forces masks or vaxx. You'll see people start bending over backwards and breaking their own rules just to get you on the job.
file permits? fuck that, i am free
i renounce the federal government
This happened to me a month ago. My employer wasn't requiring it, but had a term contract with large vendors who demanded that every person in our office be vaccinated, even though I didn't even work on their projects. I had been getting recruited by another company for some time, so I made things easy and took the offer. 10% raise. Worked out well, honestly. Was reluctant at first, because I am principled, but things really did work out for the best.
Don’t worry brother stand your ground everything works out. I will pray for you.
Man, the support from you guys is amazing! I'm going to need more time to go through all the responses but I have some time to post a quick update.
The HR meeting went exactly as expected, pushed to affirm that I refuse to get vaccinated.
If they try to rehire you after the Vax Injuries take out their skilled workers, charge triple.
Not the best way to start the holiday season but I am certain that you will find a way. Many messager boards and groups on Gab in case you were looking. I think there are posts about this topic on the Donald somewhere as well.
Pro bono counsel:
https://lc.org/exempt
Thanks, I've contacted them!
Your boss should be telling clients to fuck off with their invasive medical questions.
Make them fire, then sue. DO NOT QUIT OR RESIGN
Trust in the Lord to open a window when this door closes. Keep your health and your life. There is other work out there. You are also capable of your own work.
Also, I'm noticing there's some faggots in here downvoting comments mentioning religious perspectives.
I think people are downvoting suggestions for religious exemptions because you become the employer's bitch when you go that route. It's a tough choice to make either way, so I can see it from multiple perspectives.
Hey dude I own a small business in Central TN doing this exact type of work. Also my bro is in Michigan doing the same. If either of those spots interest you let me know.
I have a buddy looking to relocate to central TN who is in this line of work. If you guys are hiring, let me know and I'll send him your way.
Its always worth a try out! Let me know. [email protected]
Actually, TN was on my short list of places to potentially move. The others were Alabama and Florida.
Let me know. Its always worth a tryout [email protected]
I'm facing the same thing at work. My reply was: "I will not comply". It may not be easy, but God will provide.

I've seen those guys make upwards of 5k in just one day.
If you're interested in construction, there's tons of openings. I'm assuming you have a low voltage license? You could move from company AV to home theater installations, bigger bucks, easier work
Commercial AV is low voltage, they're the same. Most companies do residential and commercial, same teams.
I know. A friend owns one of those companies here. They're limited in what they can do because they can't open walls etc. Which is why I was recommending going with a construction company
In my area you don't need any sort of license to do AV. I'm hoping to not get back into installation as I was finally moving out of that after years of doing it. If it comes down to it, though, I'll do it.
I kinda wish I could get side-gig style thing going doing TV hangs and whatnot for residential clients but I don't even know where to begin something like that.
Good luck buddy. I got the email this week, be jabbed or be gone. Another pede hooked me up with this link.
https://communities.win/c/TheDonald/p/13zgNmcCKz/job-boards-for-patriots--employe/
Use this time to prepare.
Pull the court cases over turning it in some states. Pull legal analysis of business liability
Don't wait for the axe man. Fight
I didn't have much time to prepare, it happened pretty quick!
Court cases overturning what? I'm interested in fighting but I don't know what options i have in an at-will employment state.
Wait, you didn't talk to a lawyer before doing all this?
Lot of companies are choosing to go out of business by doing this to their employees. There will be a reckoning and consequences.
I think this will eventually lead to greater de-centralization and more entrepreneurship as people realize individuals can make better decisions on how to do business than corporations and start their own businesses. Someone may choose not to do business with you, but you can't be fired.
Just ignore them. Make them fire you. And skip that HR meeting.
And I don’t give a shit how “nice” they are. They are complicit in this evil. It’s still evil, and may be worse than those directly committing the evil to begin with.
Same exact thing with me. Company i worked for for 22 years sits on uscd property. I got fired. Fuck them. Dont care. No fucking shot for me. I will not hesitate to lose my life while ending the life of anyone trying to cot shot my ass. Fukem. Fukem all.
The day before Thanksgiving. That is so low. I'm sorry, pede.
Thanks. It was kind of a dick move, especially since the boss said we'd talk more about it on Monday. Then, SURPRISE! HR meeting.
FWIW [very little], I hope your former employer goes under.
I'd guess there aren't a bunch of people out there who have your skill set? Also sounds like this isn't a case where your company is losing business. The dirty secret is, they need you more than you need them.
If they let you go, they'll have to replace you with somebody from the pool of candidates with similar skills AND a person they trust who fits their corporate culture AND is vaccinated AND wants to work for their company AND can start working before they lose clients.
Bottom line: your boss is taking the path of least resistance. When he knows you are firm in your choice, he'll solve the problem some other way. Firing you is NOT a solution for him.
Call their bluff, but don't give them other reasons to let you go. Do it with class and professionalism. No need for threats. Tell them your medical choices are private and you'll continue providing excellent service to their clients until they tell you otherwise.
If you'll give in now, where would you eventually draw the line? What would it take for you to finally say no?
Agree this isn't the hill to die on. Maybe it's the hill to be used as momentum to start his own company.....which competes with the current. That's more my style.
So that was a fucking lie . jpg
Haha.
Yes and no, there aren't currently any of those positions open.
Give them the link to OSHA saying they won't do shit.
So, name this company so that no one else gets caught up in this horrible mess. "I will personally give them a call and inquire about these unfair regulations"
Give some light to this dark situation, you can help and other's want to help you!
New Era Technology.
I don't know how that information would help anyone else, though, lol
Already seeing the one stars lol
Thanks. I see they are worldwide. They have a location near me in PA. Since I'm an IT manager that makes decisions at this company, I play a role in who we work with. So, you never know. Plus, it helps make it more real than just someone posting on a message board.
West Chester? That's the one.
Yes, not sure why people don't name these companies.
It is done!
Hang tough. Your in a large crowd. Good luck
Yup waiting for the talk here. We've saved up to take both moms and us back to FL (from KY). If the bosses cave (Headquarters in TN)... we're fucking gone.
good luck, keep us posted
This is why I am learning another trade skill.
Options= freedom.
Learn a software development skill etc. become multi-talented or skilled.
Sue the living shit out of them.
I hope it all works out for you, sucks that you and your boss are both forced into it. Good luck!
Every single time I read one of these my heart breaks, and my admiration is more firmly cemented. May you find an even better job quickly 🙏🏻
Thanks!
Similar situation. I work for a different company inside of another company doing contractor work. My company doesn’t care but the site I work at is requiring it. They’ll have to fire me cuz I’m not getting a shot for the Shanghai shivers.
You will excel elsewhere! Their loss!
Same here fren. My boss isn’t making me get the vaccine, but now the medical clients we work with are starting to require that techs that come on site need to be vaccinated. Oh well, I ain’t getting the shit.
GL Fren n stay strong
Come to the free state of Florida.
It's been on my mind...
Kansas signed some new legislation yesterday that pretty much prevents that from happening as well. More states are calling out this BS every day!
Yep - make em fire you.
HOLD THE LINE
Im with ya!
Contact those clients who don't requite it and undercut your former employer's price.
The guy I hired last year for my home A/V used to be a field engineer like you described. I didn't know him, but he came strongly recommended from a few others and had a great reputation for being punctual and competent. Anyway, he quit working for some company and set out with his own gig. He does really well for himself independently. I wish the same for you should you ever set out on your own. All the best! Happy Thanksgiving.
Good luck fren. Prayers out
I’m praying for you by fren! 🤗🤗🤗
Much appreciated!
Sorry to hear that. I also work in commercial AV integration as a systems engineer. We have not been told by anyone (that I’m aware of) that client facing techs or programmers are required by client site to be vaccinated. Most don’t even require masks anymore.
Fortunately I am not client facing nor has my company mandated a vaccination. I would refuse anyways and take my talent elsewhere.
The AV industry is niche enough that you’ll be recruited quickly. Godspeed, I wish you well.
I'm hoping so! I have an interview Monday already.
This is why I want to move toward programming or even engineering, so this won't even be an issue.
Salute you for standing your ground and wish you all the best.
Good luck, thanks for standing up for your health above your job.
You are not alone. According to the CDC, there are at least 45 million pureblood adults in the US (over 18 who have not taken any vax).
Stay strong.
God speed patriot
I wonder if I was to hire a trade and outwardly discriminate their workers for vaccines or treatments for all contagious diseases. I feel like I would get sued for that. I’m pretty sure that violates federal HPPA laws.
Sorry man.
Thanks!
