uhhhh. I am afraid to be happy. what's about to hit my blind spot?

BillionsAndBillions [S] 127 points ago +127 / -0

It's good to remain cautious.

spezisacuckold 41 points ago +42 / -1

Especially with his neocon past.

Susurro 20 points ago +20 / -0

Carlyle Group/Dominion Approved!

XlDEN 12 points ago +13 / -1

Indeed. I’ve never liked clowns.

glow-operator-2-0 6 points ago +11 / -5

I don't get it. Some of you guys liked this asshole during the run-up to the election, then said he was a RINO.

Which is it motherfuckers?!

Ivleeeg 28 points ago +31 / -3

It's Virginia. A rino is better than a Democrat.

Patriotedd 13 points ago +17 / -4

Actually, a Rino is scummier than a Dem. The Rino is a LOT more scummy.

glowingstrawberry 12 points ago +15 / -3

a rino that bans mask and mandates seems alright to me

SpaceForceMAGA 1 point ago +2 / -1

It's lip service, he'll find a way to cuck.

glow-operator-2-0 1 point ago +1 / -0

All right, then it's you Virginians' job to get the right people in that office then.

"Legal" vote or otherwise.

RosettaStone 10 points ago +10 / -0

A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear.

I fear the RINO more than I fear the corporate Dem.

The RINO will betray you in your hour of need.

True-Grit 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's not the knife in your back that hurts (well it does kind of), but find out who it was when you turn to see exactly who put it in.

Snoman 3 points ago +3 / -0

People here will read this and even agree w/it until they feel powerless and experience fear. Then they’ll run out and vote for every RINO on the ticket to avoid having to actually fight for or defend their rights in the face of the real enemy.

ckover9000 1 point ago +1 / -0

Tough to say. At least with McCauliffe you knew what you were getting, but I think it's worse to be promised one thing then stabbed in the back by someone you thought you could trust at least a little because that makes you hesitant to trust anyone. My contingency for a dem win was to move to FL by Jan, my employer has an office there and I had a move all budgeted and mapped out to a nice area with decent schools for the kids, etc. Youngkin won but then gets all flip-floppy, at least with McAwful I knew the way forward, but now it's like limbo from day to day.

Trampus 5 points ago +5 / -0

It’s both. He’s not a full blown communist which was the alternative. We knew we had vomit in our throats when we voted for him. We also like to see Democrats lose and cry no matter who wins.

kilkidd 3 points ago +3 / -0

I've always been trying to say to ppl. Dem in disguise..

Chase should have won. They fucked with that. Should tell you everything you need to know

geebeext 3 points ago +4 / -1

Wow imagine being able to change your opinion with new information, finding out it's different again and changing opinion with again new information.

FinishTheBorderWall 3 points ago +3 / -0

He’s already acting like a wishy washy RINO bitch. If the democrat won, they would be going door to door force vaxing everyone by now.

Wrexxis780 63 points ago +64 / -1

At least this shows that if he gets caught doing stupid shit again, holding his feet to the fire works.

Ghostof_PatrickHenry 14 points ago +14 / -0

This is encouraging. (And I’ve been back and forth, on Youngkin.) If he can be persuaded by [mass] public opinion, then he is more useful than most politicians.

Standingoak 9 points ago +9 / -0

Usually does.

LoobintheToobin 6 points ago +8 / -2

Until he changes his mind after the Christmas surge...

DonttrustChina 22 points ago +23 / -1

He's not gonna be perfect. It's Virginia, not Oklahoma, we wouldn't be able to elect somebody who'd give us our wishlist.

Youngkin will make us happy some of the time and piss us off other times.

McAuliffe would have pissed us off all day every day.

Welcome to politics.

Standingoak 21 points ago +22 / -1

Agree, don't throw out the barely tolerable in search of the perfect. Just don't stop seeking the Perfect.

jughaid 6 points ago +6 / -0

Wow, 2 perfectly sane posts in a row. This is freakin' Virginia. I dont think people realize how starved we have been. This win was almost like Trumps win in 2016. Prolly the best thing is the more based Lt Gov will be in line in 4 yrs.

BirchTBarlow 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's what primaries are for.

Standingoak 1 point ago +1 / -0

So We the People need to pay more attention to the process----AGREED

DonttrustChina 1 point ago +1 / -0

Sometimes you can fuck yourself in a primary, nominating someone who fires up the base but alienates the middle and then losing the general. Ideological purity in primaries needs to make way for electability sometimes.

1st_Covfefe 1 point ago +1 / -0

Concise and honest explanation.

Buck_Fiden 12 points ago +12 / -0

A "private equity firm" perhaps?

The one Biden is spending the long weekend with?

Throwingway22 9 points ago +10 / -1

Don't be happy, just hold the line. Stern glares as the kid puts the stolen cookies back in the jar. Minimum acceptable governance at this point.

Furshezil 107 points ago +107 / -0

The new Liutenent Governor came out as 100% against mandates. I forgot her name but a based Black chic.

BillionsAndBillions [S] 96 points ago +96 / -0

Winsome Sears seems pretty awesome. I haven't met her yet, but people I know who have met her say she's legit.

inspir3dgenius 28 points ago +28 / -0

Never saw her run the Kenosha mile, but after reading a few of her quotes, she probably would break the record.

Tokyo20DrinkingGame 4 points ago +4 / -0

Tom Carnegie would be like "And it's a....new......track.....RECORD!"

RIP Tom.

11Bignveiny 14 points ago +14 / -0

I met Winsome.

From the short chat that we had, she left a good first impression. She was soft-spoken, gracious, and actually seemed like a decent, real person. Didn’t pick up any scummy vibes, and I’m normally pretty good at reading people. I did, however, notice that she has an air of sadness about her

The only thing I’m worried about is her being influenced and bamboozled by all the UniParty RINOs in the Virginia GOP

Ophelia 6 points ago +6 / -0

Maybe she will lend them some of her balls

BillionsAndBillions [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've met a few decent people in the Republican party. I was one of them. The sadness is justified. Most of the GOP are slimy horrible politicians and grifters.

Snoman 7 points ago +7 / -0

She reminds me of Dr Carson or Herman Cane, old school work ethic and no apology for achieving great goals.

ethan123 2 points ago +2 / -0

Does the LtGov have any power though?

Rerecursive 1 point ago +1 / -0

She will if the MAGA party rallies to her. Imagine the message if she draws crowds 2x in size and big dick energy compared to the governor. Reagan taught us popular support is power if it is wielded correctly.

stealthboy 20 points ago +20 / -0

Sears is based.

MAGAsJustBegun 12 points ago +12 / -0

Yeah, Winsom seems like the real deal I'd say.

DonttrustChina 6 points ago +6 / -0

Winsome Sears.

I mean fuck with a name like that how can you NOT be awesome?

CollinsvilleJunkie2 62 points ago +62 / -0

They've got to stay on his ass! If they do he will abide by what they want, we can't just elect folks and go back to bed anymore.

BillionsAndBillions [S] 35 points ago +36 / -1

Yep, he picked a decent Lt. Governor, so if he doesn't want to be recalled (difficult, but doable in VA), he better listen to the people, and the people better pay attention and keep him in line.

HrshySqrt77 22 points ago +22 / -0

He didn't pick her. She won the GOP nomination for Lt Gov independently after the nominating convention in the summer. The top 3 positions (gov, ltgov, atty gen) are all independently elected.

She's also the only one of the three that had no problem going on record with her MAGA positions.

MmmSoup 14 points ago +14 / -0

I hope it works out. The stress is killing me these days. I should copy and paste a statement from my company., it’s eerie as fuck about getting the jab.

VA-Pede 3 points ago +3 / -0

Everyone else clear your calendars for lobby day on January 20. Keep a steady stream in his office.

Standingoak 1 point ago +1 / -0

Keep his ass in line , so you don't have to frag him !

armyofpedes4usa 28 points ago +28 / -0

I hope pedes there keep holding his feet to the fire.

MmmSoup 18 points ago +18 / -0

20000 gun owners showed up and made their mark, just do it again,

MAGAsJustBegun 20 points ago +20 / -0

That's good.

The way I see Younkin is this.

If he expands and protects 2a and doesn't invoke mandates, it's WAY better than a democrat.

I want better, yes, but mandates and anti 2a,along with a leftist AG is terrible.

Even RINOs like Abbot at least sign Constitutional Carry into law, and to me, that is almost the single most important thing any Governor can do honestly.

Induceddrag 1 point ago +1 / -0

It was bad when our gun rights in Virginia hinged upon a few democrat state senators that kept a major gun control bill from getting out of committee.

FitOfficial 14 points ago +15 / -1

Good, but we still need to suss out the local legislatures that would've done the mandates anyway.

KekistaniMemeLord 10 points ago +10 / -0

They all need to be cleaned out for sure but it's worth noting that no local legislatures/ cities/ counties did their own vax/ mask mandate even under literal soros puppet northam. Not even commie Fairfax and Loudoun.

To many people lost their minds at Youngkins not interfering with local mandates thing. I am glad he's now cracking down though.

FitOfficial 4 points ago +4 / -0

No doubt. I was telling people to calm down too but hell... if freaking out on them constantly is what it takes, so be it. They made this stupid bed.

Apart from NoVA and Richmond this is a mostly red state, however I think many Americans are submissive cucks now.

Throwingway22 4 points ago +5 / -1

Always have been. 25-30% fight over what the other 70% will tacitly submit to.

BananaWizard 10 points ago +10 / -0

Bullying our side seems to work, lets keep doing it.

Pederella 8 points ago +8 / -0

RINO gonna RINO unless the peeps keep a statewide safari hunt active at all times. Do not let him relax. Keep picking of others across the state at all levels. No one should be safe.

Geeee 6 points ago +6 / -0

This is something you guys don't get.

If you elect someone for whom you are the electorate, there's then the threat of recall, primary, or losing to the Dem if the Republicans stay home.

Taylor814ce 1 point ago +1 / -0

The problem with Virginia is that governors are not allowed to serve consecutive terms, so the threat of primarying them is meaningless because they don't get to run for reelection right away.

This is why Northam has able to survive the black face scandal. He didn't have to worry about reelection because he wasn't allowed to run for reelection.

UnderCoverTrumper 6 points ago +6 / -0

wow. I did not expect that!

clownworld30330 6 points ago +6 / -0

Now get rid of the bushite and leftist agitators in your administration.

chahn1138 6 points ago +8 / -2

Stay on top of this weak ass fool!

WhiteLeftistsRGeeks 6 points ago +9 / -3

Youngkin is a RINO at best. He will disappoint.

BillionsAndBillions [S] 13 points ago +13 / -0

He is, but the pressure is working so far.

JohnSpartanSAPD 6 points ago +6 / -0

Anyone got a source for this other than a Poso-like twitter account?

Directional 5 points ago +6 / -1

The only reason I wanted this fuckface to win was for the mask and vaccine nonsense to stop. If McAuliffe had won, Northam would’ve had some retarded ham-handed vaccine mandate by now.

Groundpounder 5 points ago +5 / -0

It was way too early to be pulling some rino crap like that. Good news 👍

RedBlooded 5 points ago +5 / -0

Look, Youngkin has worried me a fair bit so far. But I am not completely on board with the notion that he is a RINO....yet.... I reserve the right to change my mind though.

Directional 0 points ago +2 / -2

He is. Be disappointed.

But far better than if he lost.

680-EVIL 5 points ago +5 / -0

I still don't trust that guy. Trust needs to be earned. Let's see.

MLGS 5 points ago +5 / -0

The thing about compassionate conservatives is they're really easy to bully, we just have to actually go to the trouble of bullying them instead of letting leftists do it all.

SuperSilly 4 points ago +5 / -1

Why did this stupid fuck ever think that the people who voted for him wouldn't be PISSED AS HELL? Was he just "testing" the voters? dumb fuck! I don't care what he does now, he's just a RINO trying to save his job at this point. He can't redeem himself.

BoughtByBloomberg2 4 points ago +4 / -0

And critcism worked. Like I said it was based on a misguided ideal of federalism not understanding that counties and cities were using federal pressure to force vaccines.

Now state must protect the CHOICE of it's constituents.

ethan123 4 points ago +4 / -0

Looks like I might have to move back to VA...

Smurfection 4 points ago +4 / -0

I am so happy to hear about this. If McAuliffe or any Democrat got in, the ability to change the governor's mind about vaccine mandates and masking mandates would have been zero!

It's because a "RINO" got in that the people were able to change his mind.

me-no-likely3 4 points ago +4 / -0

Lurking-My-Life-Away 3 points ago +3 / -0

Why wait?

Directional 5 points ago +5 / -0

Because he isn’t governor till he is sworn in in January.

BillionsAndBillions [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

He's not sworn into office until January.

RegularAmerican 1 point ago +1 / -0

Ah. It might have been less confusing if you wrote , after being sworn in January, he will immediately stop the mandate. I thought it meant he's gonna wait but I remembered they just elected him

HotCarl 3 points ago +3 / -0

W... What's the catch?

Morgoth 3 points ago +4 / -1

Holy fuck. Is Idaho the most cucked red state there is??? The fucking RHINOs here are so cozy and the populace is just as complacent.

It's better than the blue state I came from but damn dude.

Bluestorm83 2 points ago +2 / -0

We need to hover over him like the sword of Damocles. He's not AGAINST doing the right thing, but he's not one to suffer slings and arrows to do it. He does what's best for himself. He's a Classic Politician, not a Leftist Drone, but certainly, CERTAINLY not one of us.

AbrahamLincoln 2 points ago +2 / -0

Virginia still has magic talisman mandates?

BillionsAndBillions [S] 6 points ago +6 / -0

Some cities and counties do. Initially Youngkin said he would not interfere with that. Now he has agreed to block them all.

HandoftheKing 2 points ago +2 / -0

Shout out to LT. Gov. Sears for standing tall against this.

Rerecursive 2 points ago +2 / -0

His base, and apparently his Lt gov, will not tolerate RINO bullshit. I think he may be learning quickly the concept of follow MAGA or the same people who voted you in will vote you out (and make your one term miserable).

We, the MAGA patriots need to be a greater form of pressure than the beltway

thehumbleme 1 point ago +1 / -0

Okay, why do these people always push out for a near but distant future to do something they otherwise have the power to do now?

Am I misunderstanding something?

BillionsAndBillions [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

He's not governor until January, so he doesn't have any power until then.
