It’s also purely retarded for him to say these things after Election Day and just weeks before taking office if he has no intention of doing it.

If he didn’t want to, he wouldn’t bring your attention to it…

Plus, he shouldn’t fire the health commissioner. That gives xim unemployment benefits. Reassign to janitorial duty (public health after all), perhaps in the prisons. Won’t last long, and it’d save taxpayers the unemployment When it quits.

Oh, pffft, they were gonna make up any lie they had to, to make that happen, which is exactly what they did. You actually think there was a way to have avoided that happening. That's a fairy tale you tell yourself.

This. Though I prefer death by firing squad for all communists.

2

Yeah, janitorial duty in a prison is a lever of power … you sound like you’re a lot of fun at a party.

Reassign them to the stockades in front of the state capital.

They call that "constructive dismissal" and you still get unemployment if an employer does that, but yeah.

Clearly you have no idea how hopium works, or what it is used for.

Enjoy the low boil.

3
_-Th0r-_ 3 points ago +3 / -0

Law of conservation of energy: politicians don’t do things without a purpose.

What retard injects fresh hopium over some thing they don’t intend to do.

Only other purpose would be if they’re anticipating someone blocking it, then keep it front and center to shine a light on it.

2
PMC3058761 2 points ago +3 / -1

Nope. The game of hopium is where you constantly create the illusion for the voters that you are fighting, and that you are always "this close" to victory. Then, each time, you or someone else on your team creates a condition that blocks victory that normies are too stupid to see, or will look like an obstacle you can sell more hopium with.

The price of hopium is your inaction, your willing passivity as their tyranny transformation ratchet clicks tighter.

This is literally how the R party operates, their purpose if you will. Useful channelling of our anger, energy, and to keep the pot from boiling over through an always future promise and excuse pattern.

Hey look, I found out how to save doomer posts like this, just so I could come back and point out when your doomer predictions were wrong.

Youngkin stripped the mask mandate: http://www.dpor.virginia.gov/COVID-19/Mask_Vaccine_FAQ

Clearly this isn’t how hopium is supposed to work.

I don’t send a message til I have something to say. Supposing what I will do never rises to the level. This is more likely a request for another draw from the slush fund. Beware whenever someone tells you they are “going to” do anything.

7
jebbush123 [S] 7 points ago +9 / -2

I feel like Mitch the Bitch and Paul Ryan set that vote up to fail.

There were supposed to be 2 pieces to Trump's healthcare platform if you remember: repeal and replace (i.e. both bills were supposed to move in tandem).

McCain voted no since the bill didn't have any provisions to replace Obummercare in it. Why not? Because leadership wanted to torpedo the bill anyway so they didn't give a shit. They knew it would fail w/o the "replace" provisions.

1
pente1776 1 point ago +1 / -0

One: The Heritage Foundation put a possible frame work out to say the only way Hillary's healthcare could be viable. Conservatives always come up with ways to mitigate liberal harm.

Two: Obamacare was law before Mittens ran for President.

George the Idiot Bush wasn't doing shit....it was all the deep state. Always has been since the early days of Clinton.

Left and Right basically agreed on everything throughout his presidency it was UniParty at its infancy and by the time Obama became president the whole charade was perfected. It took Trump to expose it and try to break it.

Hey I came to post those words exactly. And whoever downvoted that comment, it’s not being a doomer to say it. 2
VA-Pede 2 points ago +2 / -0

Exactly this.

115
starsabove 115 points ago +117 / -2

Youngkin made striking down CRT a core part of his campaign. If he doesn't follow through, Republicans will lose VA again. I expect him to issue an EO within days of his swearing in, but also that teachers unions will ignore it or find 'creative' ways to circumvent it.

Less sure on the vax mandates though, last I heard, he would strike down statewide mandates but allow counties and municipal mandates to stand unchallenged. Not much of a win.

65
spezpedobestfriend 65 points ago +65 / -0

It's why you don't write CRT, you have to write down every possible derivation of the term to fuck those racists bitches to death.

Wording:

-Ban on teaching that anyone is guilty for crimes committed by their relatives, ancestors or race.

-Ban on teaching that the State is innately racist.

-Ban on giving privilege to students based on immutable characteristics such as race, religion, sexual orientation or political affiliation

Penalty:

-If it is a Government official they are banned for working for the State, if they are a teaching official they lose their teachers license. In addition make it a misdemeanor with minimum 90 days in prison.

11
Quietam_Unum 11 points ago +11 / -0

-Ban on teaching that anyone is guilty for crimes committed by their relatives, ancestors or race.

The NAZI practice of sippenhaft is prohibited in VA.

5
spezpedobestfriend 5 points ago +5 / -0

Oh I get it but it isn't stopping Loudon county from teaching that, and as far as I can tell there are no teeth to the laws. Put in 90 days minimums for prisons and you'll see these effete leftoids crumple with the prospect of actual jail time with heavens forbid low born people. Don't put them in white collar, put them in the county jail with all the other reprobates.

4
Ballind 4 points ago +4 / -0

Wouldn't it be easier to just say:

All Marxists will be hanged, effective immediately

2
spezpedobestfriend 2 points ago +2 / -0

To go to the level you are talking open civil war and warlords with no effective government. Try hanging your neighbors idiot Marxist daughter, pretty good chance you'll be bleeding out in the neighbors yard before he'd let you take his daughter. WROL, you could do what you want, but Marxists would be the last of your worries. IF we get a hot civil war, and I hope we never do, then yes what you propose would happen but on the battlefield and cities.

finscreenname 73 points ago +81 / -8

Some of you all on this board need to back the fucking truck up! The guy is not even in office yet and you all are shitting all over him. You all have no clue what a Republican in VA is like. You all want him to be Super Ron blasting away. That wont work in VA. Let them get in and do a few things (or not) before you all start throwing around judgements. IMHO they want to stay under the radar and get shit done without every little thing turning into a national media battle. We will see but no matter what he is their new Gov and will be for years to come.

25
Swolehas 25 points ago +28 / -3

Not to mention they only have 2/3rds state control. They have to wait until 2023 for the chance to flip the state senate

22

VA only kept its gun rights because of a couple Democrat senators killed a gun grabber bill in committee. We are hanging on by a thread.

7

I wrote an impassioned letter to those dems. I think they really felt the pressure. Making calls and writing letters still does not do nothing.

3

Like, are you saying this unironically?

1
Swolehas 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah i remember that. Ironically, it was the result of a peaceful 2A protest right before the "summer of love" and "fiery but peaceful protests" where the left consistently proclaimed that "peaceful protests have never worked" and "who said a protest needs to be peaceful"

11
FitOfficial 11 points ago +14 / -3

The endless energy of the_Donald has been replaced with cynical doom and gloom. It's not all organic, but a decent amount is.

Most people here don't realize that our energy created the good times we had. The doom is well-warranted, but we have to get away from it if we ever want to get back to where we were.

IMO mods need to go scorched Earth with the perpetual doomers. Enough is enough.

4
VirtueVeritas 4 points ago +4 / -0

100% agree. What's the point of coming here if you think nothing can change? This guy isn't even in office yet. I think a lot of people here secretly want to fail because it gives them an excuse to say, 'what's the point of trying' when people tell them to get involved, vote, etc.

3
FitOfficial 3 points ago +3 / -0

I honestly think a lot of it is brigading. It only takes one doomer to set off a chain reaction.

Dont be afraid to impose conservative ideals!

4
CAPTAIN_TENDY_PLATE2 4 points ago +4 / -0

There's a very simply rule to governing in the modern day, that will win you more respect than anyone could ask for:

Simply shit down the left's neck.

That's it. That's all you have to do. Just forcibly pry their jaws open, insert your anus into their mouth, and shit down their neck.

When you do that, you win alllllllll kinds of respect from coast to coast. It's LITERALLY that simple.
