She does some great streams on YouTube. Based.

GlacialSpeed 146 points ago +147 / -1

She's from the most locked down authoritarian dictatorship in the world. The people there are taught the leaders are God's. A kid drowned in a flood there attempting to save a painting of the leader.

And she says our college environment is much worse.

Fuck.... Things are going to get way worse before they get better.

treos 85 points ago +85 / -0

dude, come out from under the rock. things have been steadily worsening here for over 5 years now. (remember trigglypuff?)

our colleges were being called indoctrination camps before trump was in office due to SJWs then later feminists infesting them using the top-down approach to destroy our education system. then, after those 2 factions were finished, trannies did the same thing and are still working their way down to the very bottom.

before Critical Race Theory there was transgenderism.

before transgenderism there was feminism.

before feminism there was Social Justice Warriors.

it's just people are finally waking up after their 3rd round of beatings.

There was a kid who was accepted into Stanford on account of his application essay.

What did he write in his essay? He wrote "Black Lives Matter" 100 times. That was it.

You named it. Good thing not all kids go to college and many more are opting out due to the cost and student loans. In Texas, if you finish in the top 10% of your high school class, you are automatically accepted to all the state colleges/universities (with the exception of UT, they are set to top 7% I believe because they are special). So it is very competitive to get into that top 10%.

From the article:

“You guys have lost common sense to degree that I as a North Korean cannot even comprehend,” she said. “Where are we going from here? There’s no rule of law, no morality, nothing is good or bad anymore, it’s complete chaos. I guess that’s what they want, to destroy every single thing and rebuild into a Communist paradise.”

This is exactly what I've been saying that "Build Back Better" is. "Build back" is the same as "rebuilding." You only "build back" or "rebuild" things that have been destroyed. They didn't even try to have a political slogan that wasn't so clear about their intention to destroy America to "build it back" under authoritarian, globalist, communist rule, which is "better" only for the elites, and devastating for the 99% of the world that is just regular people.

I'm commenting on the most popular comment to say the following:

President Donald John Trump NEEDS to understand that Ivy League schools are cesspools. I don't think he has fully grasped that. He places too much value on status and education which is exactly why there were so many traitors in his administration.

4

PragerU did a great interview with her: https://www.prageru.com/video/ep-203-escaping-oppression-north-korean-defector-yeonmi-park

She alleges she was told by Columbia students and professors that she was brainwashed about Socialism despite living a Socialist country - so much for the value of “lived experience”. Her attitude and outlook is admirable given what she went through.

Frankfurt School --------------> Columbia University (1934)

32
Hangemh1gh 32 points ago +32 / -0

https://citizenfreepress.com/breaking/andrew-breitbart-my-greatest-revelation/

Andrew Breitbart talks about the Frankfurt school and how it's the root cause of this CRT/SJW commie gobbledygook.

24
Chuj 24 points ago +24 / -0

Critical Theory, directly transplanted from Europe to Columbia

-2
ConcernedFrenchFrog -2 points ago +8 / -10

Hmm, yeah but no. I mean, it didn't get significant footing in Europe, only because now it has steam rolled the US that it's being imported to Europe.

13
Chuj 13 points ago +13 / -0

Are you daft? It originated in the Frankfurt school. Well known fact. Please look it up

2
NvrTRUMPersRLeftists 2 points ago +2 / -0

I think what he’s saying is that the Frankfurt school didn’t have a significant effect on Europe after their exodus until the ideas they brought to Columbia University and to Southern California had taken root in the US and were then brought back to Europe.

2
IWanttotalknow 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not as much, but they certainly tried fucking around, as did pre-cursors to the Frankfurt school. Look up George Lukach.

Or just listen to James Lindsay talk about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OQL1Jja3p4

1
ConcernedFrenchFrog 1 point ago +2 / -1

Ok . I know about the frankfurt synago- I mean school

I Re-read the sentence and it makes sense. I missed the meaning "created there, grown in the us". I did read that as if it first grew and invaded europe and then was imported to the US

My bad ;)

Canadian Universities are also HORRIBLE. I think a lot of you guys remember the 2013 Feminists going crazy at the University of Toronto? The one with that crazy Big Red lady? And that was almost 9 year sago. Imagine how libtarded that University is now.

7
IWanttotalknow 7 points ago +7 / -0

I'm in one right now. Why? Had 2 classes left to finish a BA from like a decade back, but... yeah you're right.

The classes are so dumbed down and completely from left-wing view points, mostly from far-left view points - but they're stated as if they're reality even when about ten seconds of independent thinking on the subject would indicate the prof is saying batshit insane things.

Doing "research methods" for Sociology, the prof was basically explaining "If you have a job doing research for the government, and your politician boss wants to make a plan and asks for a report on who needs help, heres how you do it: go find the group that has the least then use CRITICAL analysis to show them" i.e: find a disparity in wealth/health/anything, then blame the system and give them money.

It's been like this for well over a decade, possibly closer to two. University is basically a lost cause, completely corrupt - but worst of all, the students are retarded. They can't think. They just go along, turn in fucking retarded papers that are so badly done and barely make even the stupid points the prof's want them to make - but everyone gets passed, no matter how wrong, how stupid, etc. Compared to even a decade ago, the students are like 25% more dumb, and they were pretty dumb even back then.

6
MAGAsJustBegun 6 points ago +9 / -3

Well, one thing North Korea certainly isn't is WOKE.

I always have had great interest in that nation, mainly due to how they've worked so hard to hold on to a very unique culture.

I'm obviously not in favor of how they do it and such, but since the population isn't online, and all the media they legally consume is North Korean, they maintain a culture in a way that no other country could do these days.

The Internet has all of our cultures morphing together, in bad ways, not good.

Internet culture is toxic and low class.

So I always found it really cool how North Korea has maintained ab image of cities and such that are stuck in the past.

People don't litter. They don't spit gun on the street. They don't sag their pants. They don't wear gay ass clothing.

I like that.

Again, none of this outweighs the evil of the regime, I'm just saying the culture of the people is cool.

Like any evil regime, the ignorant citizens are usually loving people who can relate to any other average person worldwide.

4
BadManOrange 4 points ago +4 / -0

Television and the internet degraded centuries old cultures into a shell of their former selves. Many of the older traditions and ways of doing things have either been abandoned or if the people continue to keep them it isn't with the same vigor or meaning.

Language barriers are the one thing that segregates the non English internet and these days the amount of people who don't speak English is becoming less and less.

Most Christian colleges are cucked too. Honestly, any university that takes federal funding is suspect. The list of those that don't is not very big.

1
TruthyBrat 1 point ago +1 / -0

Hillsdale and . . . ?

4
PopMaca 4 points ago +4 / -0

According to my experience those places are also weird, but in a different way. I applied on several such Universities, that require some incredibly detailed explanations about specific church dogmas.

3
Red_Turtle 3 points ago +3 / -0

Hillsdale College in Michigan is based. I wrote in with a few questions after finding them and they're very welcoming even though I'm not Christian of any flavor. They said as long as I'm okay with discussions about Christianity or how it affects our country, I should be fine. Since I'm very right-wing, that isn't a problem for me since I can see the influence the religion has on most of our country, even though I'm not a believer.

Most of the private Christian colleges I found in Florida and Texas have it in the open on their website that applicants must be Christian, so that's I'm sure the same as your experience. I have no idea how to find more like Hillsdale, IF there are any.

2
PopMaca 2 points ago +2 / -0

even though I'm not Christian of any flavor

Not even a Jordan Peterson Christian? :)

His Biblical Lectures are amazing. If you haven't give him a chance.

P.S. almost no religion, just psychology

Regarding the places I've applied, some had seriously weird ideas, like theological questions about dancing?!

3
Red_Turtle 3 points ago +3 / -0

I haven't read any of his stuff yet, but I did recently buy 12 Rules for Life. I can get behind philosophy of "clean your room" and other such obvious things, but any sort of dogma involving an all powerful being/creator, that isn't something my mind accepts. I can tolerate him talking about it because it's a different viewpoint than my own and it's important to expose myself to those things, but I won't be a "convert" or whatever.

Who the heck has problems with dancing these days? Other than twerking anyway...

2
PopMaca 2 points ago +2 / -0

but any sort of dogma involving an all powerful being/creator, that isn't something my mind accepts

We are on the same page. My understanding of religion and the challenge I gave to myself was to turn religion into - math.

I was never bothering with the particular dogmas and I think that it's the part that is repulsive to many people (including two of us).

All I wanted was to extract the core meaning and see what kind of world would emerge if those core axioms were used. Imagine it as Euclidean geometry.

After that, I did the same for Marxism, and wondered what kind of world will emerge from the Marxist axioms. See it as Geometry of Lobachevsky if you like.

If you want to read how Molecular Biologist who was doing applied math his entire life sees the religion, send me an email and I'll send you free pdf version.

Once you read it, you will see why the outcomes of Marxist world and Free world are predictable and not the consequence of poor tactical decisions.

Cheers,

Alex

1
dr_gonzo 1 point ago +1 / -0

This girl is one of the most refreshing voices I've ever heard. It's really nice to hear someone who genuinely values freedom.

She's had an unbelievably difficult life too. Born in a communist dictatorship that is cut off from the rest of the world. Sold into sex slavery as a kid by her mother just to get her away from the communists. Made her way across the Gobi desert at one point. And despite all of that, she seems about thousand times happier than your average American, and a million times more thankful for her freedom.

One story I clearly remember her telling is that in North Korea, people actually steal other people's shit. You see, communism is so corrupt and inefficient, they have no way of heating their homes. Even the wood is gone now, so people burn their own shit for heat. So now that shit has value, people steal it and of course government officials often take it. THAT's what equity looks like comrades.

She would know as she had to live with the constant drone of it in North Korea. This truly damns the current school system as more interested in indoctrination than education.

We need to smash the department of education at the federal level so there's no purse strings to become puppet strings. Let each state government and their citizens decide a child's education will be. I recommend total decentralization by moving to a voucher system. If you want your kid to be based then send him to a based school and vice versa.
