Or print your own label code sticker, with URL linking to Infowars or something like that 😇

Cover the code with one leading to patriots.win

checking in

What does this mean?

14
Coprolite 14 points ago +14 / -0

I assume it's part of the covid passport system

1
ceremony_ 1 point ago +1 / -0

It doesn't necessarily mean that it will not work.

Instead of a dot, make it a line, or a smear, or a bunch of dots.

72
MAGAconvert 72 points ago +72 / -0

Just for people who don’t want to click the link - QR codes can correct between 7%-30% for “dirtiness”. The smaller the dots the more it can correct for. So cover at least 30% and you’ll be good.

30
AceOfTrumps 30 points ago +31 / -1

I would suspect you could simply add a square or two if you were talented at making straight lines

24
Bionic_Unicorn 24 points ago +24 / -0

Why not just slap a big black round or square sticker on it.

19
AceOfTrumps 19 points ago +19 / -0

Because then you have to carry around an assortment of stickers vs a sharpie

18
AmericanJawa 18 points ago +18 / -0

I mean, "I did that" Biden stickers are increasingly a thing...

13
AceOfTrumps 13 points ago +13 / -0

Need to get a skeleton crew mentality, carry the absolute minimum number of tools to achieve the desired effect.

With the Biden stickers, it's quick and you don't have to worry about being sued for vandalism, the alternative would be carrying around a form mask and a spray can

7
Kek_Johnson 7 points ago +7 / -0

Imagine being able to burn cities down and be celebrated as a peaceful protester. Next time I school someone pantyfa I'll post it. It's a hobby for me. Live in PNW around Tacoma/JBLB. Seattle used to be a fun city. Now it completely sucks.

13
Brucesky420 13 points ago +13 / -0

stickers are easy to pull off, marker means it will have to be completely replaced

unless you use those shitty stickers that seem to be on every shitty chinese plastic cup you can buy at walmart or target. Those fuckers are never coming off clean

3
MaoHadOnly1Testicle 3 points ago +3 / -0

Better yet, a piece of sandpaper. One square inch can destroy a lot of QR codes.

1
Testamernt 1 point ago +1 / -0

Because then they'll know why it's not working.

43
Poldiel 43 points ago +43 / -0

Error correction only applies to the "noise" in the middle. If you color in part of the 3 big squares, it will mess up most QR scanners because they depend on those for orientation.

2
deleted 2 points ago +2 / -0
9
PKShadilay 9 points ago +9 / -0

You'd be surprised. Walmart now uses QR codes on labels for backroom binning and if the printer prints too light, or a portion of the code is misprinted then the camera won't pick it up. Many times I've used a sharpie to fix a label so it will scan.

162
MakinBacon 162 points ago +163 / -1

so print qr code stickers that link to patriots.win, pop it over the top, or to goatse....

84
JonathanE 84 points ago +84 / -0

This was done on the London Underground a few years back.

PETA terrorists kept putting up adverts along with QR codes etc and someone came along afterwards and replaced the QR codes to redirect them to online meat sales sites.

35
DestroyerofCobwebs 35 points ago +35 / -0

That is some world class IRL trolling right there.

5
ChocolateEvryday 5 points ago +5 / -0

Love it. PETA kills btw. They do it in the name of animal freedom from humans.

1
MaoHadOnly1Testicle 1 point ago +1 / -0

PETA = a bunch of angry vegans

They kill animals so they have more money to make billboards promoting veganism.

69
EddieBooth 69 points ago +70 / -1

Only flaw : nobody uses those covid QR codes

62
Tellsyouhow [S] 62 points ago +62 / -0

They do in the UK for checking into shops and venues. Unfortunately for Covid passes its the public that have their individual QR codes so this won't work for the vax pass

I had to use one for a menu inside of a restaurant and nobody in my party knew how to use the fucking things.

26
AceOfTrumps 26 points ago +26 / -0

Same thing happened to me a couple months back in Minnesota. I politely called them faggots and they gave us paper menus

5
Glower_not_shower 5 points ago +5 / -0

Lol I could have seen any of us doing this but none of us really eat out much and this was in fucked up Seattle, we just thought it was the norm.

1

I.. uh admit I still don't know how to work that QR codes. :D I just never do lol

-2
glasses2020 -2 points ago +4 / -6

using QR codes is dead simple lmao.

4
Glower_not_shower 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yea if you know what to do, it is. But for someone that has no idea about a QR setting on phones its impossible

79
Tellsyouhow [S] 79 points ago +79 / -0

In the UK and Europe they use QR codes in shops and venues to "check in" for track and trace purposes. I normally pretend I don't have a phone so they have to take out their pen and paper version and I just put in false details.

67
ChrisTheSoberITGuy 67 points ago +67 / -0

NoFakeNewsCommies 12 points ago +12 / -0

Europe never advanced past their monarch style despite having 'democracy' governments. There's a reason we broke away from Britain and we need to be reminded from time to time

Sadly all of Europe now has access to the internet now so it's easy to be confused by American LARPers who are European

13
DestroyerofCobwebs 13 points ago +13 / -0

There are few things more purely pathetic than an American who is entranced by the British monarchy, keeping track of their comings and goings via tabloids and tell-all books.

Our ancestors fought and died just so we could tell these inbred cretins to fuck all the way off, and these substandard Americans want to idolize them? It's treasonous, is what it is.

5
FreddyThePatriot 5 points ago +6 / -1

The existence of any sort of royalty is evil.

1

Yeah in Alberta the QR code is now required to enter restaurants and things. If you don't have a phone you need to get health services to print one off for you.

Proof of being a good little party member. The second group they will go after are the useful idiots and revolutionaries. Can’t have them thinking and stuff.

4
paperairplanes 4 points ago +4 / -0

They've been used in Ontario since last year at salons and restaurants. At that time it was for contract tracing, but now its to check vaccination status. So, they move the goalposts.

4
johnrambo 4 points ago +4 / -0

HOLY SHIT, guess that's where they're going with the lockdowns at the moment. Was wondering what the cities doing mamdates and lockdowns were up to.

3
dadmda123 3 points ago +3 / -0

22
I_SPEAK_JIVE 22 points ago +22 / -0

1

Or add a sticker over with a QR code that goes to https://communities.win/c/NoNewNormal/.

22
ClarenceBeeks 22 points ago +22 / -0

WTF are people checking in for? This is some covid tryanny?

12
Tellsyouhow [S] 12 points ago +12 / -0

Any time you enter a public building or cafe etc they want you to scan in with a QR code and enter your contact details on the website it links to so should someone get Covid they can text warn everybody else that was in the building at the same time

15
TheOneWhoKnocks 15 points ago +15 / -0

So what happens if you don't do that, and just walk in?

13
NuclearPoweredChevy 13 points ago +13 / -0

Combat music plays and you hear "Stop right there criminal scum!" behind you as a guard materialize out of thin air. All of the Covidians sitting at the tables stand up and frantically run around in circles screaming and calling for help.

12
JonathanE 12 points ago +12 / -0

I've been in places that have those track and trace QR code posters etc. To date I have not used one and have never been asked for my details either.

I live rurally so it might be different in the cities.

6
UK_Pede 6 points ago +6 / -0

I’m in the UK. Don’t have the app, never will. Have never been made to scan anything.

3
Tellsyouhow [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

If I ever entered a restaurant and they told me to do that, I would walk out. There’s plenty more restaurants to choose from, and there’s plenty of food in my pantry if that doesn’t work out.

10
BrewSwillis 10 points ago +10 / -0

I think the point is to fuck up the QR code without anyone knowing that it was messed with. Then you'll get all these idiots scratching their heads going, "it should work. I don't know what's wrong with it".

Best to just replace it with a different QR code sticker. Fucking Rick Roll them, or something.

4

Man, seeing you write that. I can't believe the majority of this world was acting so cucked for > two years.

4
Lowersidecustoms 4 points ago +4 / -0

I cook so I always have one in my pocket, what QR codes we talking about?

3
Butts_Chunderson 3 points ago +3 / -0

Maybe a stupid question but, what qr codes?

2
Philhelm 2 points ago +2 / -0

Codes you can scan with your cell phone camera to access something. For example, many restaurants make their menus available this way (especially since the Ching Chong).

3
8yearmaga 3 points ago +3 / -0

Make your own signs with QR code’s going to the right places

A few dots in opposite sides. There’s error correction built in but it’s not super robust. But a single dot won’t affect it unless you are super lucky.

What’s this for? I pretty much only use QR codes for menus.

4
glasses2020 4 points ago +5 / -1

Contact tracing in the pinko zones.

2
hillaryprison 2 points ago +2 / -0

Add a dot to what QR code? Crash what system? I never use these codes for anything ever so I'm not following why this will help anything.

2
ROWDYRODDYPIPER 2 points ago +2 / -0

What? Your QR code just wouldn’t scan. There’s no reason it would affect those after you either. A QR code is basically the same as any bar code. This makes no sense whatsoever.

2
boomerbutnotOKBoomer 2 points ago +2 / -0

Checking in WHERE? I'm in a Red state. We are free here. So what's with the QR codes to check in?

2
67Vert 2 points ago +2 / -0

What QR code? Blocked from checking in to what?

2
TGNX 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm not sure what this pertains to, exactly. Is it that health pass thing?

3
Tellsyouhow [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Track and trace at cafes. Not supermarkets though 🤷🏻

3
TGNX 3 points ago +3 / -0

Cafe has a dozen or so folks in it. Supermarkets have hundreds.

Those cafe's are the big risks for transmission, surely. /s

2
Minn2000 2 points ago +2 / -0

QR codes have a lot of error checking. Your best bet is to aim for the alignment patterns in the corners.

1
knnbccb 1 point ago +1 / -0

Everyone will eventually have a personal QR code tattooed on their forehead or arm. And you can't do that because that's assaulting someone else.

1

Well.... they can just print out another.......

1
notmyrealalias 1 point ago +1 / -0

In Oz we have to use QR codes to check in at the supermarket. A good 10% don't work because they laminate them and the light reflection screw them up.

Better to use a QR sticker and put it over the top.

how about just refuse to ever show a QR code?

1
Bob_Wahr 1 point ago +1 / -0

This post still makes no sense to me. Someone assumed everyone would know what they were talking about, so they omitted the topic. I’m not aware of any QRC codes that are directly putting me at risk, or if there are any QRC codes associated with vaccine or passports. Maybe it’s obvious to people outside of Texas.

1

1
TheyLETyougrabit 1 point ago +1 / -0

What QR code are we talking about here?

1
dadmda123 1 point ago +1 / -0

A dot isn’t making a QR code unreadable, you’re gonna need more than that depending on the QR code version

1
Bedminster 1 point ago +1 / -0

Due to error correction you're better off carrying a white out pen. That way you can cover up a portion and the QR will fail.

1
PapaPepe 1 point ago +1 / -0

A QR code isn't a barcode. They work better than that
