Which is why the Church/church is being purified through all of this evil and insanity. We must become more incarnate and applied, more Lion and Lamb, not merely one or the other.

My sense is that we are like the belt on a man trying to fit the right sized man (Sainthood) whatever that is. The left keeps making the man too thin or fat and cutting the belt piece by piece but the Right says we need the belt for these pants and the ugly underlings below but typically doesn’t convince him to eat, drink and work better and then keeps giving the scissors to the Cinderella rats to mess it up.

Atheists will occasionally by blinded faith get some right, but at least those hungry to live for God/ (permanent and revealed ideals) mess up while committing to an ideal they can break or keep.

But ONLY when they repent. There are many churches to teach, in error, that God loves everyone, all go to Heaven and therefore repentance is not necessary.

You are absolutely correct that too many churches teach "God is love, therefore no one really needs the gift of salvation". They miss the crucial point: God is holy. He must judge sin, regardless of "love". If He were to ever not judge sin, He would cease to be God. Glory be to His name that this isn't so.

God is love, however. Surely you have read John 3:16, "For God so loved the world..."

We are all born sinners. If God only loved those who have repented, He would've never sent His Son to die on the cross in the place of every single human, sinners deserving of eternal damnation up until His gift of redemption through Jesus. To put it simply: sinners need Christ, we are all sinners, because He loves us, God sent Jesus to die for our sins. There is no one too evil to be saved, and no one too good to bypass salvation.

The difference being, an honest doubter doesn't know but he wants to know, and therefore he investigates. Be assured, the Bible is quite clear on who will never enter heaven.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. (Galatians 5:9)

Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. (Revelation 22:15)

Christ's death, in our stead, was a sufficient sacrifice. He was perfect, yet he was tortured and crucified in our place. The holy Son of God, his pure blood, conquered sin and death through his resurrection. If the shed blood of the sinless Lamb of God is sufficient to cover all the sins of all the quantities of people who would ever believe in Him, then there can be no limit to the size or types of sins covered. Full redemption is available for all who believe and follow Him. It was sure and certain and complete; nothing needs to be, or could be, added to it. Understanding this and you can understand when Christ says the following:

...Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you. For John came unto you in the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented not afterward, that ye might believe him. (Matthew 21:31,32)

If there exist men too evil to be saved, logically it would lead to the existance of men "good" enough to disregard salvation. However, Christ's sacrifice was done entirely without the help of man, and cannot be undone. Salvation is through Christ alone. The "goodness" of humanity is as filthy rags before the Lord.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)

They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one. (Psalms 14:3)

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8,9)

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

Thankfully, Christ does not hold grudges as we humans do. To accept his gift of salvation is to receive forgiveness. So much so that God removes our sin as far as the East is from the West.

For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified. Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before, this is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; and their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. (Hebrews 10:14-18)

Wholehearted repentance and acceptance of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior changes a person. The Holy Spirit immediately moves into you and begins to work within you. The conviction of the Holy Spirit compels us against old ways, thoughts, and ideas, and moves us toward Christ's holiness. This is possible only by the power of God!

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

These are the reasons that someone, so utterly evil, can be redeemed. The power of the blood of Christ is infinitely more powerful. He is able to change a defiled, dirty person into a new, sanctified creation. Thus comes the meaning of the second birth. They must, however, ask for forgiveness, repent, and accept his blessed gift. The Christian will then naturally be known by his fruits, because God is at work within them. The people you mentioned, did they ever repent? Doubtful, but entirely possible. Only God knows. I reiterate what these passages show: there is no one too bad to be saved, none too good to bypass salvation.

Perhaps the last passage is the clearest.

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God. (1 Corinthians 6:9-11)

All glory be to God, who is loving and merciful, holy and just.
