I am a white male that grew up in the suburbs of Detroit in the 1960s-1970s. I am not racist, but I do have racial bias. When I was 10 y/o my father was mugged by a Black male. When I was 16 y/o a friend was killed in a hit and run by a Black male in a stolen car. When I was 34 y/o a 20 y/o family friend was car jacked and murdered by two young Black males. When I walk down the street and a group of Black males are walking toward me a certain apprehension kicks in, this does not happen when a group of White males are walking toward me. THOUGHTS?
