Next time tell them that’s your private health information and you are there to fake care of them, not share your PHI, your sexual orientation, religion, SS# or any other thing that doesn’t affect your ability to do you job. That’s what I’m gonna start doing - teaching these ppl IT’S NONE OF THEIR FUCKING BUSINESS. You aren’t their to get help from them, it’s the other way around

7
MamaStew 7 points ago +7 / -0

Pre-covid, it was a general requirement most places I've seen for nurses to get the flu shot each year, albeit with built in alternatives and less drama if you skipped it. Something like a sticker on your badge was a common way to track flu compliant staff.

Doesn't make it not creepy, but it's also not a new practice. People are just honing in on it more now that it's a new and politically controversial vaccine, rather than the established ones that most people never give much thought to.

6
BidenBuhtSecks 6 points ago +6 / -0

Some nurses have so much shit hanging from their badges that it's sometimes difficult to even see their name. An ID badge shouldnt have fucking accessories. Chain restuarant severs wear less flair in their uniforms than some nurses.

also finish up with explaining how all the studies and real world data show that these vaccination not only don't stop, but don't even meaningfully reduce transmission. These rules about separating society by vaccination status were only implemented based on assumptions that have proven false since, just as so many other government assumptions about COVID.

That's a big part of what makes other people's vaccination status none of their business.

95
South_Florida_Guy 95 points ago +95 / -0

If she was vaccinated, what's she worried about?

85
Stanwyk74 85 points ago +85 / -0

The question we will never hear a rational answer to as long as we live.

29
TaxDollarsHardAtWork 29 points ago +29 / -0

That's because there is no rational answer. Only empty platitudes and occasional truths they refuse to accept. Why bother? The vaxxed are demanding their own death sentence, let them eat cake.

-7
Femprep -7 points ago +1 / -8

There actually is a rational answer but I got tired of responding to these types of comments. For example: I had all my kid shots (including MMR). First pregnancy they tested my immunities and I had none to rubella. Kid popped out they gave me a booster ASAP. Second child not even two years later, still no rubella immunity. For whatever reason, that one just doesn’t stick for me. I have to depend on “the herd” to protect from rubella.

Edit: not to say this vax isn’t complete BS, but there are reasons you’d want others vaxxed. And since the immunity only protects for like 4 months, maybe in some weird twisted way it makes sense, like all lefty things.

8
Polander 8 points ago +8 / -0

The Rubella vaccine presumably works. It prevents other people from getting and from spreading the disease, protecting you. The covid vaccine does neither, and therefore does not protect you.

2
Femprep 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes, I just always try and work to see their reasoning. You have to do extreme mental gymnastics sometimes, but in terms of real vaccines I was just giving an experience that explains why they get so angry about other people getting it to protect themselves, even though they’ve been vaccinated. They believe it works, we know better.

8
deleted 8 points ago +8 / -0
2
Femprep 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes, I wasn’t defending people lefties who believe it works, only providing an anecdotal explanation as to why they could think this way, believing it’s real and works.

5
QuantumLegion 5 points ago +5 / -0

I had the same issue with small pox. I had it a child, didn't scar. The Army gave it to me 3x....still no scar. Apparently no scar means it didn't "take". But I was under the impression it meant you're naturally immune to that disease. Either way, I'm not getting it again. I've had so many vacs it's ungodly, and never once questioned it...until now. I was on board with making fun of anti-vaxxers....until now.

2
Femprep 2 points ago +2 / -0

I find this interesting, I thought because rubella didn’t take that I would be susceptible in the event of an outbreak. Did anyone tell you that you were essentially immune? I didn’t ask at the time and don’t see a doctor often.

3
QuantumLegion 3 points ago +3 / -0

So, this is coming from an Army doctor so you can take That for what it's worth (probably about as much as Fauci since Army doctors aren't "real" doctors), but I was told if it didn't take, you have a natural immunity to small pox. I accepted this at the time, b/c what did I know? And there were people throughout history who simply didn't get it--natural immunity. If everyone got it, all the Native Americans would be dead, not however many did die. I don't know if that's true of any other vaccine, or even if this is true at all.

Either way, I blame my insanity on the Anthrax vaccine and I'm sticking to that story, no matter what anyone says.

2
HFCornspiracy 2 points ago +3 / -1

...And you are an expert on this how? Natural immunity is the best immunity, prove me wrong. Your "answer" was not an answer at all, but a general assumption based on one personal experience you had. Please don't try explain things that you yourself clearly don't understand

1
Femprep 1 point ago +2 / -1

I never claimed to be an expert. I provided an anecdotal reason as to why the necessity of relying on herd immunity could be a thing for some people. If you want to be black and white about everything feel free.

25
TommyJarvis 25 points ago +25 / -0

I asked my former doctor basically the same question. If she was so sure the vaccine worked, why wouldn’t she take her mask off?

Thank you for standing firm and not getting the poison shot. Have you received much backlash from co-workers ?

I don't see how the hospital can have your name badge announcing what vaccines you have received. Somehow that seems like such a private issue that it's one step away from listing your sexual preference along with him/her/it.

2
oldmanliverspots 2 points ago +2 / -0

funny you should mention that. the hospital I work at encouraged all of us to wear badges that announce our pronouns, you know, so we can all be trans allies.

peterstrzoked 18 points ago +18 / -0

Wasting their life afraid, afraid to live. Why waste the valuable resource of time?

I have a coworker who is quitting the best job she’s ever had over covid fear. Our office is small and spread out; we all have our own offices within the building - and she only comes in to the office like one day a month as it is.

Her job requires her to attend a couple events at our corporate HQ a year; where everyone is required to be double clot shotted and triple masked to attend anyway.

Even though she is quadruple clot shotted and wears six masks, she gets so much anxiety from interacting with humans half a dozen times a year that she’s quitting. She thinks covid will never end, which in her case may be true, since she will probably fear it until she dies alone with her cats.

She has all her groceries delivered, she disinfects them and then puts them in her quarantine fridge in the garage for 48 hours before touching them again. Sitting alone in her office with no one within 20 feet or less than one wall separating anyone from her, she wears an n95 with a couple surgical masks over it.

I’m not going to say she was a normal person pre-covid, she was always a brain dead liberal, but covid hysteria has completely destroyed her.

14
tentonbudgie 14 points ago +14 / -0

It's the most exciting thing that's ever happened to them, they are center stage in their tiny little drama

10
peterstrzoked 10 points ago +11 / -1

It’s so fucking sad. I wish she would just catch covid and recover from it (for her sake), but I know that wouldn’t change anything.

She would rationalize it away as “well I just got lucky and I could catch it again and next time I will probably die.”

It’s sad, but while I do honestly feel bad that they are so mentally deranged, I don’t feel that bad for them personally since I know that they would happily hold me down and inject my kids with poison if they thought they could do it without getting shot.

It’s the medias fault, really - yes it’s their fault for being so dumb and gullible, but we wouldn’t be where we are today if the media hadn’t been hyping fear this whole time and lying about everything.

the drop of efficacy is why I think it is a waste.

If it was permanent immunity with a slim chance of side-effects... I'd probably take it. But there is no long-term advantage if it goes away and I don't care about virus to begin with

4
Belleoffreedom 4 points ago +4 / -0

4
CoffeeIsForClosers 4 points ago +4 / -0

That's the same reason to not get the flu vaccine. It's only a guess.

6
2AMONKEY 6 points ago +6 / -0

Before the "vaccine", they were collecting blood from covid recovered people for their antibodies. If you get jabbed, you can no longer donate for that purpose because THE VAX WIPES OUT THOSE ANTIBODIES. Just let that sink in for a minute.

What other antibodies are being wiped out? It's an experimental drug being treated like a religion. Fuck that big pharma bullshit. Stay organic.

0
deleted 0 points ago +1 / -1
2
WhitePowerRanger 2 points ago +2 / -0

That’s not how antibodies work. It’s a lock and key method. They either work or don’t work. You don’t get generic vs name brand antibodies.

1
deleted 1 point ago +1 / -0
2
2AMONKEY 2 points ago +2 / -0

So right up until this experimental "vaccine" showed up, the accepted science was that natural immunity was superior to a vaccine immunity, but suddenly experimental mRNA is "the good stuff"? Pretty sure you can gtfo with that noise.

Unvaccinated heath care workers may have the best immunity over all.

https://www.reuters.com/business/healthcare-pharmaceuticals/sleep-apnea-severity-linked-covid-19-outcomes-2021-11-10/

Healthcare workers who did not test positive for COVID-19, despite heavy exposure to infected patients, had T cells that attacked a part of the virus that lets it make copies of itself, according to a report published Wednesday in Nature. Researchers who studied the 58 healthcare workers found their T cells responded more strongly to a part of the virus, called the RTC, that is very similar on all human and animal coronaviruses, including all variants of SARS-CoV-2. They suspect the T cells recognized the RTC because they had "seen" it on other viruses during other infections. That makes the RTC a potentially good target for vaccines if more research confirms these findings, study leaders Mala Maini and Leo Swadling, both of University College London, said in a joint email to Reuters. These data were collected during the first wave of the pandemic, they added. "We don't know if this sort of control happens for more infectious variants currently circulating."

I'm unvaccinated and caught covid in a hospital where all staff is required to be vaccinated. Someone had just gotten a booster or something and had a high viral load. I got sick enough with Ivermectin and supplements I had to go to ER to get steroids, antibiotics and home oxygen. Hubby didn't take his ivermectin and got hospitalized with Covid and double pnemonia, intubated for transport to a larger town/hospital. 3 days intunated in ICU, 10 days total hospitalization. We're both finally healthy again.

My sister in law is just like that land whale of yours. She's become germaphobic and absolutely paranoid. She quit her job, almost never leaves the house, and has become a miserable witch...even to family. It's sad, but I've stopped taking her shit and told her to get a life.

Next time someone asks if you're vaccinated, ask if they've had an STD, and point out their both private medical information.

Damn. I’m the on my nurse on my floor who isn’t vaccinated and we have a big unit, 36 beds and we are always full. I’m the only one who has to wear an n95 or PAPR at all times and tests every week. But with all the incentives right now I’m making $50-75 an hour so fuck em im almost debt free within my first year out of school and still have my entire GI bill for CRNA school. This will pass one day.

3
NaCl_kang 3 points ago +3 / -0

Same here, only pureblood on the floor where I work, I wear the n95 get weekly tests. I'd say we have about 50/50 when It comes to Covid patients who have been vaccinated vs. unvaccinated. And as it's always been, Comorbidities are the true indication of PT outcomes.

The more I talk to these nurses Im finding there are a bunch who are understanding that the vax doesn't mean shit when it comes to contracting or spreading. There are a few nurses still engulfed in fear, one who admitted to me they "actually had sympathy for Covid patients who had the vaxx, and points out every Covid patient that isn't as if it makes a difference in their treatment.

At a meeting we had it was found that 13 staff members were out sick due to Covid reasons. No mention of vax status so you can assume they had all been jabbed.

Stay strong fellow medical PEDES. Iv also talked to a bunch of unjabbed pts and hint to my based ideals. Even saw a Dr not saying a PT specifically didn't want anything suggested by the CDC or Fauxi. My hospital is cucked by CMS reimbursement and refuses to administer IVM.

2
SmokeyAF 2 points ago +2 / -0

I support the poster and am not questioning what happened there. But in broader terms/contexts, the collective "all of us" should try to find ways to create allies for jab/no-jab living, as in Australia's "together" approach to fight against vax mandates. You can't win over many closed-minded people, but the others are worth our efforts.
