Is this shit going to go on and on with Barrett and Kavanaugh? What a pair of dopes! Roberts is a fag and was already a complete washout - but now there's three of them?! Fuuuuuccccckkkkkk!

Quest723 384 points ago +413 / -29

Maybe we were too hasty on dismissing Blasey Ford.

I am now prepared to sacrifice Kavanaugh's entire family to the leftist vigilante hordes just for peace of mind.

Barrett was obvious since she pulled a Bradgelina and nobody spoke up against her.

269
Madnote1984 269 points ago +278 / -9

The outrage over Kavanaugh wasn't to stop him from being confirmed. It was just a message: you vote the wrong way, and we will be outside of your house, we will drag you back to congress with another accuser... It was all about letting Kavanaugh, amd Barrett (in particular) know that if they get out of line, there would pain.

This is why I hate the rino republicans that say you have to vote the party line no matter who the candidate is. You just end up with more scumbag traitors in charge.

2
BatmanForTrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yep, this was a hit job by the GOPe, they want a corrupt, spineless court, because they themselves are trying to subvert the constitution for their greed and hatred of "the peasants", Mitch the bitch made sure he recommendations were the nominees, then to get the right behind them, it was full court press from Fox News etc, remember how they were pushing ACB long before she was even nominated or considered, the Haitian kids virtue signaling was a dead giveaway, but the Fox News watchers had already ordained her and as for Kavanaugh, the accusation made the right even more hell bent on having him get through because we knew Ford was bullshitting and didn't want to give ground to a bunch of lying, whiny leftists, the whole thing was a setup

That's exactly what the socialists want you to feel. The original system of laws is still in place and it can be salvaged by cleansing the offices of their filth. People who were (only) hoodwinked to work for them need us to keep alive what we know is right otherwise they won't be encouraged to jump ship. Socialists can fabricate draconian laws but they remain unconstitutional and with tough lawyers on our side we can still win back / hold the line

That's not enough and better tactics need to be continually used, but I'm saying we still have much to fight for and it is far, far from over. Just look outside your home; chances are you aren't in a socialist hell-hole 3rd world-level "community" of thieves and murderers

Socialists have gotten way, way too much success as it is and by no means am I saying "well it's not bad enough, I'll just ignore it." No, it's a reminder to remember what you have now, used to be in that ruined community and those folk deserve to get it back from the jaws of evil

They put Thomas thru hell. He managed to endure the public grilling, ridicule & defamation— which definitely was intended as a message, loud & clear—and he also managed to remain principled & conservative throughout the years. Solid & steadfast. A great Supreme Court Judge.

I'm now almost inclined to believe the most insane stuff: like Blasey-Ford was Kavanaugh in a wig and a mask.

That would make sense if he had sworn allegiance to the oligarchy (new) world order.

They have their rituals.

I didn't believe the stories I heard about him but now I'm willing to consider all of it seriously.

And I never did like Crazy Eyes Barrett.

5
mugatucrazypills 5 points ago +5 / -0

I think the political left is just nastier now. Sure they smeared Clarence Thomas, but there were still rules or at least a game to get through. This is Lord of the flies full Bolshevik level shit now.

4
KrakenWakin4JoeBacon 4 points ago +4 / -0

You make a good point. The Kavanaugh nomination & circus was on another level compared to Clarence Thomas.

2
OneBigMaga 2 points ago +2 / -0

They don't need him. They have all the others, so his opinion is rendered useless.

19

That is a problem and should be taken care of. But maybe if you are afraid of that then you shouldn't be a judge.

-4
Redpillgirlfrommars -4 points ago +4 / -8

You say that like we have a wide variety of people to choose from who wouldn't let threats to their family affect what decisions they make. Don't get me wrong, I'm pissed about it, too, but it's a bit more complex than just "if you're afraid of X don't do Y."

No because if enough turned down the position and/or spoke up about it (admittedly that would probably get their family harmed) then people would catch on. That's the whole problem. The correct answer is not to take the position then get 1000s of people innocently killed. Sorry never will be

9
peltast 9 points ago +9 / -0

What a crock of shit. Nobody's going after their families. If somebody WAS, they wouldn't be such great actors. They'd be nervous as shit every time they went out.

PLUS, and this is a very big plus, it also implies that Thomas, Alito, and the other either don't have families, or they don't care about the families that they DO have.

No, we were just plain butt-fucked but Barrett and Kavanaugh and Roberts. It's embarrassing, but, there's no dishonor in being fooled

Tread_not_on_me 5 points ago +5 / -0

I’m 100% with you. These people think themselves above everyone, that we are privileged to have them on the Supreme Court, and they should have a cushy and easy life but that’s all utter bullshit. Public sector jobs are SERVICE, and a sacrifice for society, and no job more than being a Supreme Court justice. It may be dangerous to uphold the constitution the way it was written, but that’s the sacrifice you make for having extremely gainful employment guaranteed for life lol. Pussies all but Alito and thomas

25
CrustySockpuppet 25 points ago +26 / -1

It’s called rituals of humiliation. These people that are part of the cabal have to be put through a certain level of ridicule or humiliation to be part of the club. Think in terms of fraternity/sorority hazing initiations in colleges. Or even gang initiations. These cultists that are running our world do the same kinds of initiations, where they have to do something really horrible and/or demoralizing to be accepted. Only it’s a lot darker stuff they are involved with, that can be used as serious blackmail if someone decides they want out of the club/cult

9
Throwingway22 9 points ago +11 / -2

It's a bit more than that. They also record everything so they have blackmail material on each other to keep everyone in line.

4
CrustySockpuppet 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yep. That was Epstein and maxwell’s bread and butter. And there are many more just like them

2

They go through it and move up a notch with the oligarchy.

And the deepstate was so powerful they unleashed coronavirus and used it to try and topple Trump and seize power. I welcome everything Trump was able to do in spite of massive collusion and corruption, by extremely powerful people and groups within our own government and country.

They tried to impeach him over bullshit twice and his own party was readily looking for examples and ways to get rid of him. This Trump was all powerful and could have done anything bullshit is hilarious. There was nothing stopping the Democrats from milking Mueller for 4 years, however that worthless new AG was the "bipartisan" compromise to get it to stop.

6
DanIsSwell 6 points ago +7 / -1

Trump constantly mentioned the swamp, then turned around and trusted the swamp. He said “Hillary said it takes a village. She should know, she’s taken a number of them in Haiti” which showed that he KNOWS. But, then he turns and says the Clintons are nice people. So, we think “Ok, he must be secretly planning to take them down, but wants them to be off guard” Then he continues with the “Lock her up” talk. Only to turn around and say “Nah, I won’t do that to them” WTF

5
Grond999 5 points ago +5 / -0

Trump said of Ghislaine "I hope she doing well"....or something to that effect. Anyway, Trump has his great points, but man...he did not plow through the swamp. He hired a lot of swamp. For years I wished he had advice from a non-DC team of actual patriots.

Exactly. Anyone who’s been here from the start (the old Reddit days) knows, we have openly criticized his bad, confusing decisions. We loved his great intentions. He was the best possible candidate, compared to all the pedo elites. All you had to do was look at the campaign against him, to know he was not an elite insider, and they did not want him meddling in their shit. But, he was way too naive in many ways. We could honestly pick 20 people from patriots.win, put their names in a hat, pick one as President, and we’d instantly have the greatest, most based president ever. But, we can’t do that.

10
MAGA1775 10 points ago +11 / -1

Plus Trump didn't reluctantly pick these people. He owned it. He bragged about them. He's still bragging about some of them as if it was a big accomplishment (like his SCOTUS picks) as he goes on his history tour.

People on here will try and rationalize and make excuses for Trump that he never makes any mistakes. The truth is, he's not perfect. That doesn't make him a horrible President but he needs to own the mistakes and learn from them.

Of course he had the entire swamp against him. But he didn't even try and push back. Instead he just went along with whatever McConnell told him and then owned it and was boisterous about it.

I was hoping that Trump would fight the GOP establishment just as hard as he did when he was primarying against them when he first ran for President. He used to talk about the swamp, globalism, the uniparty and the deep state. Instead, he cozied up with the RNC establishment and never played hard ball.

If he had no choice for something, he should have expressed it to expose the corrupt GOP even further.

4
Runfree 4 points ago +4 / -0

Not disagreeing but I think what we are all learning and what Trump learned is that the President doesn't have a lot of power.

I need Trump to show he has learned something. He should have been more cunning and less bolsterous.

1
MAGA1775 1 point ago +2 / -1

The President has a lot of power in some ways, one of them is that he can veto bills.

Biden's $5 trillion Build Back Better bill wouldn't even be a worry right now even if a Dem Congress passed it.

Another one would be executive orders. I'm normally against a President using them, but with what Biden did and how the Democrats use them I wouldn't be opposed to Trump using them in the same fashion.

But other than that, they don't have much power as some people think they do.

Regardless there are still things that Trump could have done better. I didn't expect him to be perfect, in fact, I'd say he did very well despite what he was facing. But like you said, I just want him to show me that he learned something.

3
Gunslinger1776 3 points ago +3 / -0

Remember when Trump banned a gun part via executive order? 😒

1
IvIA6A 1 point ago +1 / -0

I remember when he signed the huge omnibus bill and said never again, then signed a similar bill the next year. As much as Trump tries to talk leverage, he never used the veto to demand congress fix it's spending problem. It was all just too politically convenient no to push back sometimes.

2
BatmanForTrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

You're right, but just to play devil's advocate, I don't think he knew the extent to which the GOP was corrupt, I think he thought they were sort of corrupt, but a lot less so than the Democrats, he also thought they would want to win, knowing that if they did what we the voters voted them in for, we would ensure their reelection, only to find out they are the same fucking party

I think this expression was meant to work both ways, too. God is the definer of goodness; morality is based on God's law and nature. Those that do good without knowing God are still doing good. In that sense, those that (less applicable today) have never been touched by the Good News and would have no way of knowing God from other humans could still likely attain Heaven, as each of us by and large is embedded with a conscience that inherently guides us to good, and even those that have no knowledge of God can do good; in doing so, they are following God whether or not they even know it.

SboneyLovesGod 3 points ago +6 / -3

What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather according to the flesh, has found? For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Now to the one who works, his wage is not credited as a favor, but as what is due. But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness, just as David also speaks of the blessing on the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works: “Blessed are those whose lawless deeds have been forgiven, And whose sins have been covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will not take into account.” Is this blessing then on the circumcised, or on the uncircumcised also? For we say, “Faith was credited to Abraham as righteousness.” How then was it credited? While he was circumcised, or uncircumcised? Not while circumcised, but while uncircumcised; and he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had while uncircumcised, so that he might be the father of all who believe without being circumcised, that righteousness might be credited to them, and the father of circumcision to those who not only are of the circumcision, but who also follow in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham which he had while uncircumcised. For the promise to Abraham or to his descendants that he would be heir of the world was not through the Law, but through the righteousness of faith. For if those who are of the Law are heirs, faith is made void and the promise is nullified; for the Law brings about wrath, but where there is no law, there also is no violation. For this reason it is by faith, in order that it may be in accordance with grace, so that the promise will be guaranteed to all the descendants, not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all, (as it is written, “A father of many nations have I made you”) in the presence of Him whom he believed, even God, who gives life to the dead and calls into being that which does not exist. In hope against hope he believed, so that he might become a father of many nations according to that which had been spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” Without becoming weak in faith he contemplated his own body, now as good as dead since he was about a hundred years old, and the deadness of Sarah’s womb; yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform. Therefore it was also credited to him as righteousness. Now not for his sake only was it written that it was credited to him, but for our sake also, to whom it will be credited, as those who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead, He who was delivered over because of our transgressions, and was raised because of our justification. Romans 4:1‭-‬25 NASB1995 https://bible.com/bible/100/rom.4.1-25.NASB1995

Romans 4 is very clear about this.

But if it is by grace, it is no longer on the basis of works, otherwise grace is no longer grace. Romans 11:6 NASB1995 https://bible.com/bible/100/rom.11.6.NASB1995

Romans 11, even more so.

Dude…

What part of ….

“ For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries.”

Is hard for you to understand…?

Repentance is a necessary part of salvation according to gospel. It’s not grace alone that you enter the kingdom of God, if it was there would be no need for repentance or turning away from sin.

5
AresNineTwo 5 points ago +6 / -1

So you stopped sinning?

A born again Christian doesn't sin willfully, because there is an inward man created when we believe on Christ. This is the struggle that Paul talks about in Romans 7 when he says " Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me."

If you don't believe that ALL of your sins, past, present and future were forgiven by Christ's perfect sacrifice on the cross, you aren't saved and believe a false gospel because you're trusting in your own righteousness which are filthy rags.

2
4Christ 2 points ago +2 / -0

Amen brother. Thank you for your faithfulness to the word. Those who are blind hate the truth, the Word Himself (John 1).

0
LAnderson 0 points ago +1 / -1

You just stated the point in the first sentence of your second paragraph.

If grace was sufficient, someone could willfully go on sinning without thought… the Bible is crystal clear that your actions are required as well.

1
SboneyLovesGod 1 point ago +1 / -0

Faith is looking to Christ, the way that the Israelites looked to the bronze serpent on the staff. In order for them to look at the serpent, they had to look AWAY from the ground, where the flaming (or flying) snakes were. With Christ, the same is true. We have to stop looking at our sin, and start looking at him. Repentence is PART of faith, it isn't a work, it is part of accepting God's grace.

1
LAnderson 1 point ago +1 / -0

Mathew 3:2 “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”

Luke 24:46-47 “It was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations.”

Act 3:19 “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.”

Repentance is a major theme of the gospel man… that’s action taken by you in order to receive grace. if you don’t repent, you aren’t saved, it’s that simple.

1
4Christ 1 point ago +1 / -0

Of course repentance is necessary, but it only happens as a result of the Father's grace:

"No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day."

John 6:44 (the words of Jesus)

So your repentance happens before "the Father who sent me draws him"? Or maybe your repentance happens only when "the Father who sent me draws him". Given that the latter is true, that only happens by grace because we know the path is wide that leads to destruction and many will follow. Only those who are called by grace, have saving faith (also see Romans 8,9).

1

For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries. Hebrews 10:26‭-‬27 KJV https://bible.com/bible/1/heb.10.26-27.KJV

Hes talking about ongoing, unrepentant rejection of God in this passage. Hamartononton is like a continuing infinitive. Its the same idea that Paul uses in 1 Corinthians 5. He's saying that if you are willfully denying the supremacy of God, you are not saved.

1
LAnderson 1 point ago +2 / -1

Yes… he’s talking about continuing on with sin.

If you continue sinning you won’t receive grace… so it’s not grace alone that you enter into the kingdom of god. Your actions play a role in your obtaining grace. If it was just grace, you wouldnt need to change the way you live, what is repentance.

3
Throwingway22 3 points ago +9 / -6

The new testament (specifically Paul's letters) are not referring to water submerging when it talks about baptism. The word bapto can refer to any number of things, all having to do with a complete covering of something. It can refer to burial (complete covering in dirt) or water (complete covering in water) or dying cloth, like they did with the temple shroud (complete soaking of a piece of cloth in dye). This last definition is actually closest to how most new testament authors use it after the Gospels, because we are baptized NOT IN WATER, but in the holy Spirit.

It's not grace alone either. Both the Catholics and the majority of protestants get this wrong to their own destruction.

Repentance? <- a work
Baptism? <- a work
Church attendance? <- a work
Feeding the hungry and clothing the naked? <- works

Of course you'll disagree, well, disagree with Jesus then:
Matthew 25:35-40 "35 For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in; 36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’ 37 Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink? 38 And when did we see You as a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You? 39 And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of Mine, you did it for Me.’"

Faith is DEAD without works and no matter how you spin it, that will never change. Your disagreement is with Jesus, not me.

n4freedom 9 points ago +12 / -3

None of those things get salvation. After that there's works, but even those are by grace through faith.

2
Runfree 2 points ago +2 / -0

Lamech_Slade 0 points ago +1 / -1

Faith is also a work

John 6:28-29 ESV Then they said to him, "What must we do, to be doing the works of God?" [29] Jesus answered them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent."

The crux of the matter is obedience.

Hebrews 5:9 NASBS And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation,

Without obedience there is no salvation.

2
n4freedom 2 points ago +3 / -1

You're really playing semantics. You choose to believe something which is all faith is, believing what God said in whatever given context. If you want to call choosing to believe God a work I don't think you're keeping with the spirit of the New Testament at all. Paul goes to great lengths in Galations and Romans chapters 4-8 to express that salvation is not something earned by works, and is in fact impossible to. So then saying well choosing to believe is a work, I guess you have better insight then Paul apparently.

2
Lamech_Slade 2 points ago +2 / -0

Jesus called belief a work not me. Paul makes the point that we can never earn or deserve salvation. It is the free gift of God. However, salvation is only IN Christ (2 Tim 2:10) where all spiritual blessings are found (Eph 1:3). We must obey God's plan for how to get into Christ (Gal 3:27).

-1
Rommsey -1 points ago +1 / -2

Mark 16:15-16 says you're a liar: "15 And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.16 The one who has believed and has been baptized will be saved; but the one who has not believed will be condemned."

Baptism isn't an outward sign of an inward feeling either.

-3
n4freedom -3 points ago +1 / -4

Note He did not say the one who does not get baptized is condemned, only the one who did not believe.

3
Rommsey 3 points ago +3 / -0

Note: At that point baptism is getting wet so yes, they stand condemned because they didn't believe for Jesus says:
Luke 6: 46-47 46 “Now why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? 47 Everyone who comes to Me and hears My words and acts on them, I will show you whom he is like: You're wrong, that person stands condemned.

dannypipes75 1 point ago +4 / -3

Nothing in that text talks about baptism or church attendance or feeding the hungry as the means to salvation. One thing gets you into heaven and that is the belief in Christ as God and his sufficient sacrifice on the cross and his bodily resurrection. The Catholic church has made the same mistake of the Pharisees and placed tradition above faith.

3
Rommsey 3 points ago +3 / -0

Clearly you are struggling with comprehension.

The Demons believe and they shudder. This is the same as the protestants that think "once saved always saved" or the equally as damned doctrine of "by faith alone."

For every perversion that has come forth from Catholicism the Baptists, Presbyterians, Episcopalians etc. all mire the world with their own perversions equally as destructive and equally as damning.

You say you believe in Christ? Good, obey Him and do His will (what He asks). Anything else is heretical nonsense with massive consequences.

2
dannypipes75 2 points ago +5 / -3

And he condemns prayers to the dead. You cannot show me from the Bible anything that backs up Catholic teaching of the Eucharist, Mary as an intercessor and so on. You have to go to the catechism for that.

This.

I've found a lot of similarities between myself (Protestant, and well a non-Catholic) and my Catholic friends. We believe Christ was the Son of God, was crucified for us, and the only way to the Father is through the Son.

Most of the difference are small, such as traditions and rituals and what not.

People like ObviatingTyranny are dividing us even further. I'm sure they have good intentions, but to flat out say "Your beliefs are false cause they're not mine" is ridiculous and doesn't help, especially when the main tenants of Protestantism and Catholicism are the same. Pointing out how Protestants don't follow certain things that Catholics do, isn't helping, and it's just dividing us more.

There are many devout Catholics who feel that last conclave was invalid, because people were in there canvassing for votes who did NOT belong in there and were ineligible to vote. I'm looking at Ted McCarrick. I do not believe Benedict stepped down on his own free will and his resignation written in Latin probably has some truths in it that no one was smart enough to translate correctly. I believe he is a prisoner of the Vatican. I ignore the guy in there now. Bergoglio is too full of error to pay attention to.

2
LazySusan 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's very difficult as a Catholic to deal with this pope. His predecessor stepped down, only the second pope in the history of the Catholic Church to do so. Why did he step down? It looks like he was told to do so by the New World Order to usher in one of their own.

1
LordKuroTheGreat 1 point ago +1 / -0

If there is any truth in Catholicism, then we're living in times that have been prophecised, which means the Church will be eclipsed with a Satanic imitation and become the seat of the Antichrist. The commie faggot pope is scandalous, but being driven away by him (while understandable) is like being driven away from Jesus because Judas was his apostle. Although at this late stage in the game, you might just get the door slammed in your face along with the rest of us who are about to get kicked out for believing in the faith of our fathers.

4
Yeti2 4 points ago +4 / -0

Excatholic here. Actually, a lot. The main difference is Jesus, as the go-to guy for forgiveness of sin and reconciliation with God. For Catholics, Mary largely plays that role because of the female motherly heart. For a Catholic, there's no peace of knowing you are saved because they think it's based on how many good deeds you do, instead of the complete sacrifice of Jesus. You never know if you have done enough good works. Then is the Bible as maximum authority source, for Catholics rely on a mix of tradition and opinions. Catholics discourage reading the Bible because "it can drive you crazy". I'm saying this as a Hispanic, maybe the American Catholic flavor is different from what I experienced.

It's not the jews it's just people with power because power corrupts. The jews are disproportionately represented in positions of power because they have been culled repeatedly throughout history - it's basic survival of the fittest that explains their overepresentation. There are plenty of non-jews in positons of power who could change things if they wanted. And what about China? So if tiny little Israel and the tiny jewish population are the problem then what does that say about the rest of us? This is why I always view people like yourself as jew supremacists, I find it interesting you don't realize the implications of your world view.

They were persecuted because they were non-believers in new religions. That's what culled them initially, then they were also culled because they were succesful (is it really hard for a conservative to understand the natural tendency for people to hate those who are successful? this is not new).

It has nothing to do with motivations or whatever. That's not jewish specific - everyone in these positions tends to be just as corrupt. Do you think ACB, Kavanaugh, and Roberts are controlled by the tiny jewish population or just maybe they're pieces of shit all on their own for reasons that have nothing to do with being jewish?

Jews are disproportionately involved in this crap but it's not the problem it's just a symptom. When you act like this is specifically a jewish problem you run cover for the many more non-jews that are responsible for this shit.

Sadly I can say the same thing. Some of it is expected because a lot of Hispanics just buy into the “Vote Democrat” line. I won’t even go to church with my Catholic family that supports abortion loving democrats. We’ve been attending random non-denominational services recently and it’s refreshing to not hear left wing politics and, in fact, hear pretty bold teachings against Marxist crap.

Guys this was simply a refusal to block an emergency bid to stop the mandate. This isn’t a lawsuit ruling. Essentially, the constitutional lawsuits need to make their way through lower court first still. While I disagree with the SCOTUS refusal to block, it doesn’t not mean this matter is over.

Sadly it does mean that it will be awhile before these mandates are stopped and/ruled unconstitutional.

-2
skyhawk -2 points ago +1 / -3

We need to stop relying on the slow wheels of justice.

This would have been an idiotic strategy from the start. You save your money and build up emergency savings for a reason, and the Supreme Court being a bunch of cucked losers unwilling to uphold The Constitution is certainly a legit scenario where that type of foresight would keep you from having to succumb to the tyranny and authoritarianism of an octogenarian retard with dementia, but too many people in this country live paycheck to paycheck because they need the newest useless iPhone model and waste tons of cash on other trendy shit that they have nothing to fall back on and leave themselves no choice but to bend over and take it when the government rolls out the newest "mandate."

3
radioactivedk 3 points ago +4 / -1

Have you seen the price of housing and food? This statement sounds like someone who locked down house payments 20-30 years ago when anyone with a pulse could get in. We have left a situation for young people that is far more fucked up than we admit and it’s not going to be solved by ditching some $40/month phone plan. Everyone I know that says this is in real life is still a slave to their damned cable or satellite TV bill.

1
skyhawk 1 point ago +2 / -1

I'm not even 40 years old yet and I was fully prepared to go a year plus without a paycheck because I have enough savings on hand to survive a vaccine mandate battle in the courts (if it took that long) in the event that I was terminated for refusing the vaccine. The average American can't even afford a thousand dollar emergency because they all waste every paycheck on stupid garbage instead of being forward thinking enough to invest and save for when they really need it, not my fault most of the people in this country are total financial retards.

3
radioactivedk 3 points ago +3 / -0

I get it, I see the over the top consumerism but I’m in my 50s and can honestly say that most younger people I know sacrifice and do without more than most of my fellow Gen Xers and boomers had to at the same age. Maybe it’s different in the bigger cities than the young people I’m seeing struggling even in Texas.

Sorry for the friendly fire, but I too often see older folks around my age shitting on young people that are busting ass and blaming it on silly things. Sometimes these kids give up on house, family, stable career, decent car so the damn phone is the only nice thing they can actually have.

23
DCdeplorable 23 points ago +23 / -0

This is a gov't forced injection with no religious exemption to continue working your job. You do not need to let the process work itself out when it's this blatent.

And I know that I'm right, because the 3 conservative justices on the court all agreed with me.

And for everyone getting mad about Trump on this, we got Gorsuch early on -- later in the 4 year term the patriots had been routed, and Trump was only getting advice from RINOs

3
bidensmissingbrain 3 points ago +3 / -0

It also perpetuates the current favorite tactic of leftists: force lawsuits to work their way up to the courts and then, just as SCOTUS takes it up for review, cancel the mandate and watch SCOTUS throw the suit out as moot. Then just redo the mandate and rinse/repeat.

76
CaptainButthurt 76 points ago +78 / -2

We got duped by Barrett and Kavanaugh and I'm not afraid to admit it. I wager Trump was duped too. We should readily employ Thomas as judge of character going forward for picks. If we ever we break free of the communists again.

69
DCdeplorable 69 points ago +70 / -1

I didn't get duped by ACB. A large contingency on this fine dot-win didn't get the wool pulled over their eyes. We begged for Lagoa because we know where she stood on communism, as an escapee of Trudeau's dad's Cuba.

Kavanaugh though... that one hurts. He seemed like the right choice. He must be compromised...

2
BatmanForTrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yea, I'd say Kavanaugh wasn't so obvious, until he started crying, but ACB was a dead giveaway from the start, the virtue signaling of adding Haitian kids when you already have 5 of your own and could adopt poor, orphaned American kids if you really wanted more, was red flag #1, then saying they cried over St. Floyd was the nail in the coffin,

2
TaxDollarsHardAtWork 2 points ago +2 / -0

He’s not a king and the bureaucracy below the president has a ton of power, that most people apparently don’t even know they have if your comments are any indication. Blaming the one guy who is undeniably trying to save the USA is ignorance at best. NY real estate is not expensive due to demand. It's expensive because of limited geographic space and shit tons of bureaucracy that result in 5-10 years or sometimes even longer to get a simple building permit. Corporations are headquartered there, and there are a lot of foreign nationals that soak up real estate (probably almost a majority of the city's population if I had to guess at this point). People do NOT want to live in NYC, they are only there because they feel like they HAVE to be there for work.

2
TheOutlawPepeWales 2 points ago +2 / -0

This wasn't on the merits docket, which is where you have the full briefs, oral arguments, amici curiae, etc. Declining to open that can of worms now, like the hundreds of other cases they rejected today, isn't a landmark anything. They're not the religious police snooping into everyone's business and punishing wrongdoers, and it's foolish to try the merits without benefit of research, debate and public input, especially when they may never hear the case and any authority over the lower courts at this point would be dubious at best. Sorry kiddos, you may want the tendies RIGHT NOW, but if you want it done right these things take time. That's just the way it is. If people want an activist to rubber-stamp injunctions every time they don't like a law then maybe next time Trump can appoint the Hawaiian judge. Good luck with that.

The only facts anyone really needs to know are that (provided you're mentally competent) you don't need the government's approval to refuse any medical treatment, it isn't allowed to define your religious beliefs (nor are you required to justify them) and it isn't allowed to employ, threaten, bribe or otherwise coerce surrogates to do what it cannot do itself. If anyone, be they prince or pauper, is trying to violate your rights you don't have to wait for the Pope, or the Supreme Court, or Governor Hochul, or your boss, or the pink-haired barista down the block to give you permission to stand your ground. Or you can roll over, take the monthly anal jabs and whinge like ignorant retard, I don't care. It's your life and it's your choice.

That is all.

1
MasklessMarvel 1 point ago +1 / -0

We need to stop voting for the lesser of two evils. Strategic voting is how we've lost our country. If there's an establishmwnt-backed RINO running against a dem, but there's also a MAGA guy running who everyone says will be destroyed; VOTE FOR THR MAGA GUY! picking "the guy who can win" has lost us this country! It's not enough to win. It never ha been, and now we're seeing the consequences of simply winning. We need to win with QUALITY MAGA candidates.

Vote for what's right. If everyone ends up being right and our MAGA guy loses, what's it matter!? We shouldn't say to ourselves "well I wish I would have voted for the establishment guy" because looks where that's gotten us! We may as well have voted dem. In fact we did and we just didn't know it. Perhaps the most effective democrat in the country at the moment is one our side voted for: MITCH MCCONNELL!

I would vote for a liberal over McConnell. Because after 6 years of their liberal bullshit someone fresh will run for the republican party. Also the senate would have a new leader(probably another cuck). Seems like all republican leadership is RINO. Kevin McCarthy , McConnell. John Cornyn(gross he represents my state)

How did Trump blow all those supreme court picks? Now I worry about those record number of judges he brags about, probably all worthless backstabbing cucks.

I said she was bad news when her name was being bandied about, and I was right. I argued at the time that she's a Catholic first, and a jurist second. But I was downvoted to oblivion by those who were all excited about her for no good reason. Please understand:

I have nothing against Catholicism, but I've been trying to educate people that rightism doesn't automatically dovetail with organized religion--any of them. Organization implies social structure; a common set of teachings, understandings and goals; and, a community of followers. Meanwhile, rightism is based in individualism.

This, by its very nature, places organized religions at the centrist point in the political spectrum (at best), and outright leftist (at worst). Since the Catholic Church was a feudal institution and champion of feudal ordering, the Church is one of the premier left-leaning and left-susceptible institutions on the planet today.

This is the reason why leftism hates organized religion so much, and seeks to subvert it with 'inclusivist' heresies like homosexuality, female priesthoods, Islamophilia, and Gaia-worshipping enviro-garbage. They want POLITICAL leftism to be the religion espoused by these organizations, not RELIGIOUS leftism. What is religious leftism? You can determine that by how much social outreach, proselytization and social reformism they champion.

Those who are now feeling 'betrayed' by ACB have no one to blame but themselves, since they were dazzled by her sex rather than her jurisprudential record (which was disturbingly weak).

This is the pretext for the next civil war.

Remind me: Kavanaugh and ACB are Constitutionalist Conservative?!

That sir, is tyranny.

Laws are words on paper backed by violence.

This is my red line. Keep my family from eating with bullshit vaccine enforcement, and leave me no choice but to be extremely violent and to disregard your "laws".

Have fun rotting in jail

If it comes to that... I'm not going to jail, and those who come to take me to jail aren't going home.

Why would anyone that doesn’t want to get vaccinated, still live in New York? Take a fucking message, they either want you to fall in line and be a good sheep, or dead. If you’re a patriot, you should have gotten out by now. Yeah, I get it that it’s hard to move, but you’re out of options. Your government failed you.

Now is Biden going to appeal the rulings from the lower courts that blocked mandates?

4
BananaWizard 4 points ago +4 / -0

Medical people already have vaccine mandates. It's just immoral not illegal.

4
Schroeder09 4 points ago +5 / -1

Where did the concept of being able to not hear a case become so prominent? These cucks in these courts have way too much latitude for this retardation and for dismissing stuff on procedural, objective stuff.

Hey NY pedes, demand to know why they are anti-Muslim and keep going on about Allah.

Ozark_bubby 4 points ago +4 / -0

Is there a difference between a state mandate and a federal mandate?

3
Oldjeansandbelt 3 points ago +3 / -0

A state mandate can look to the state constitution for stricter or at least different grounds than the Federal Constitution.

Further, there's issues on how a case gets to the supreme court.

Federal District courts hesitate to involve in state proceeding, especially when justified on state grounds with no clear fundamental rights at stake.

If you want to back your noodle start looking into "abstention" "Kline v. Burke" "mitchum v. Foster" for starters.

It's good nerd reading.

3
duder56 3 points ago +3 / -0

This may be true however please read the NYS constitution and let me know when you get to the part about liberty of conscience. This mandate is plainly illegal and so are vaccinations without religious exemptions.

Depends on how and why the Court declined review

Loiuzein 3 points ago +3 / -0

Liberals enforcing behavior. Very liberal.

Whatever happens: I never trusted ACB or Kavanaugh, they seemed like George Bush types, the shitheads of America. Useless Ivy League, secret society, weirdos. Now, Thomas, Alito and Gorsuch are good guys, the rest suck..

It was odd earlier today how so many here were talking about how Biden's Mandates were over, yet this happens; sure, State's Rights, I understand that, but our nation's Bill of Rights is under siege, you'd think SCOTUS would understand that. I truly think there is no political solution to this dying nation; 2020 should have been a massive wakeup call that SCOTUS does what the NWO wants them to do. Massive election cheating and fraud? No precedent... But, demolishing the Bill of Rights, Okay, yeah, that's legal. Give me a break...

SCOTUS is useless and corrupt.

These obvious communists are going to overturn every court decision banning these mandates...
