So guys, I have ignored all the covid stuff and refused to get vaxxed or wear a mask. Well this morning my hubris caught up with me and I woke up with full blown Omicron symptoms.

I don't know how I am going to survive this slight runny nose, tiredness and foggy head. Please send your prayers.

I am paying the terrible price for ignoring our glorious leaders. The terrible price was ~20p in Aldi for a fresh lemon and a bit of runny honey to put in some hot water.

This is an extremely popular Hollyweird fantasy and while we laugh about it because it's hilarious, they are paying high priced escorts (male and female pardon me for using binary genders) to make this dream come (pun intended) true.

13

11

Aspirin makes you less likely to clot up, can’t have that. Need those deaths to pump up the panic porn

7
Induceddrag 7 points ago +7 / -0

I have a classmate from college, 50’s, got the Rona. Things were going fine and then he woke up one night with extreme breathing difficulties. He called his brother, a doctor, who literally told him to take two aspirin immediately and get to the hospital. The COVID had causes a clot in his lung so they put him on IV blood thinners for 3 days, then sent him home to finish the Rona.

3
MasklessMarvel 3 points ago +3 / -0

dude, if he had thrown that clot he would have been dead in minutes

4
Induceddrag 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yep. This is how the government is killing people, no therapeutics until it’s too late.

1

Should aspirin be taken continually like a supplement? I remember it being part of a bodybuilding stack.

1
TheGreyMouse 1 point ago +1 / -0

A friends Dad, after a minor stroke, was prescribe 1/4 aspirin a day as a preventative measure. Maybe look into something like that. We need blood to clot. We also need therapeutics to be the focus to vaccines. But then the politicians won't get their millions from big pharma.

1
Induceddrag 1 point ago +1 / -0

I wouldn’t do that because sometimes you want blood to clot.

I’m 12 weeks pregnant and pretty sure I caught Omicron yesterday morning. Fever went up to 100.4, my back and joints were killing me, and I had a slight cough and runny nose. This morning I’m over it already. Joints still hurt but fever broke and my cough is breaking up. Taking an at home test today just to confirm. No way I’m going to a clinic to stand in line where I could catch something else!

83
brsmith77 [S] 83 points ago +83 / -0

I replied "yes, it's a cold. You remember we used to have those?"

47

Don’t bother testing, it tells you nothing of value.

Are you sick? Answer: yes. Will you get better? Answer: of course.

There’s nothing further to discuss. Take care and feel better.

27
Ariel125 27 points ago +29 / -2

My mom is dropping it off since she already has some. If it comes back positive I can brag to all my vaxxed leftie coworkers that the unvaxxed pregnant lady got over it in 12 hours.

33
Jaqen 33 points ago +33 / -0

You can say all that regardless of the test status but the best policy with coworkers is privacy. Tell them as little as possible about your private affairs.

25
COLDWARPATRIOT55 25 points ago +26 / -1

Exactly. Do NOT share health info with coworkers. They are the enemy, not your friends.

2
Barbs 2 points ago +4 / -2

I dunno, I found out that a couple of my coworkers are pureblood and pro-MAGA too when I revealed my status. They were also relieved that Covid wasn’t as bad as they expected it to be after I caught and got over it (it sucked but it was mild and I didn’t die).

Coworkers aren’t all enemies, some of them are closeted purebloods just like us.

2
FreddyThePatriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

some of them are closeted purebloods just like us.

They were also relieved that Covid wasn’t as bad as they expected

Not just like us

-1
MasklessMarvel -1 points ago +2 / -3

Do NOT share health info with coworkers. They are the enemy, not your friends.

that is insane

2
Hunter77 2 points ago +2 / -0

They're not necessarily all enemies, but I would see no reason to share with them that I have anything more than a cold, especially when there could be repercussions (all unnecessary) for admitting I had COVID.

1
MasklessMarvel 1 point ago +1 / -0

well yeah, sharing health concerns is something you don't want to do as a matter of privacy

but looking at all of your coworkers as enemies defines a hostile work environment

2
Forgototherpassword 2 points ago +2 / -0

There is nothing healthier than turning your immune system to eleven 24/7 with fauci's sauce. Remember, vitamins don't do shit, so no need to replenish them, and fat shaming is just a construct of toxic masculinity. It has nothing to do with health.

1
krakah293 1 point ago +1 / -0

It can come back positive for weeks. The only thing the test will do is confirm you had it. It will not tell you if you no longer have it.

Testing is a waste of time.

14
Squeaker 14 points ago +14 / -0

This. My kids were recently at doctor because I wanted to make sure their lungs were still good during this particularly bad cold. Doc recommended testing for covid. I said, "Why? Does it change the treatment protocol you're going to recommend?" He said no, but it would be good for me to know. Good for me to know because reasons? So I could get scared or beg for a ventilator? If treatment is the same, why would I bother testing for this shit? I wish he had the balls to just say he recommended it because they get a fat paycheck for every one they do. At least then I could respect the honesty.

3
MasklessMarvel 3 points ago +3 / -0

Don’t bother testing, it tells you nothing of value.

i tried to convince my college professors of this

2
deplorable-d00d 2 points ago +2 / -0

Truth. There was a 3+ hour wait at Kaiser for their drive up testing, I easily got around most of it on my motorcycle, still waited 45 mins, got swabbed, no results for over 96 hours. Then they notified me,and I started getting phone calls & texts from the dept of health and Kaiser, and "contact tracers". I just blocked and marked them as spam.

It's the lightest cold I've ever had, but it is lingering. Still have a cough after 14 days now.

Just keep your lungs clear with musinex or whatever. Stay hydrated and stay happy. It will pass.

2
mugatucrazypills 2 points ago +2 / -0

Probably

23
Bullet3250 23 points ago +23 / -0

That 'at home' test is not a very good test... false positives and false negatives are far too common.

Make sure you are taking Vitamins and even boost the Vitamin D to 5000 iu per day...

Shocking how powerful Vitamin D is in propping up your immune system.

Most modern people don't get enough vitamin D.

Our bodies were designed to be outside working in the sun all day.

Most people spend all day indoors staring at a computer screen.

Makes sense just from a common sense perspective.

11
MagneticArm 11 points ago +11 / -0

Tbf, I have a very healthy co worker who was literally sleeping for a week because of COVID. Young too. He was fine just had 0 energy. Honest hard working dude. I would maybe consider giving your employee a day or two as a show of good faith. Its on them if they abuse it.

7

2
Snipthetipandsip 2 points ago +5 / -3

Wait... He's a remote employee, and asked for paid time off... For a cold... That is going to have him home anyway? I'd fire that dude.

3
thisguy883 3 points ago +3 / -0

Well to be fair, I had a nasty flu one time and I'm remote. I ended up calling out as a result.

It's annoying to have to troubleshoot something when your head feels like it's going to explode. Or when you're running a fever and having to sit on a call pretending to give a shit what the customer is saying.

1
MasklessMarvel 1 point ago +1 / -0

the thing about working remote is that you can do other things during meetings- like get actual work done

you just have to learn to just listen for your name and whatever keywords

if you are distracted and you realize someone just asked you a question and you did not hear it, just say "I am not sure if I agree"

someone will jump in and tell why you should agree

then you will know what the question was

0
MasklessMarvel 0 points ago +1 / -1

you would last about five minutes after that

I am guessing you are not a CEO

1
Snipthetipandsip 1 point ago +1 / -0

Is there a large population of CEOs around here or something? You want to forgive exploitive behavior in your industry? I went to work the last week busting my ass for 60hrs while I had "the sniffles", because 2 other guys with families had to call out. I work to hard to be a CEO.

1
MasklessMarvel 1 point ago +1 / -0

you want to fire a guy for asking for time off

you are not only going to lose his productivity, you are going to lose it for a long time. No one out there wants to work. If you find someone, it takes time to train them and get them up to full speed

so now instead of covering for him for a couple of days, you are going to have to do his work for months

i won't even bother pointing out what HR would say to you

-1
Barbs -1 points ago +2 / -3

What? What the fuck does “location” have to do with anything?

I powered through Covid and didn’t take time off, since I also work remotely (and was on a hard deadline), but it sucked ass. I could work maybe two hours and then had to go lay down and nap for a couple of hours. This repeated all day long. The fatigue you get from it (at least from Delta, dunno about Omicron) was debilitating.

And location didn’t mean jack shit.

1
Snipthetipandsip 1 point ago +1 / -0

Calm down hardcore. Bravo to you for being able to type on a keyboard with the sniffles.

1
thisguy883 1 point ago +1 / -0

You just know if I had posed this on reddit that is all I would have got in response, along with lots of tolerant caring leftists calling me a plague rat and telling me they hope I die.

Feeling for you buddy. Similar story here starting last Sunday. If it wasn't for a few multivitamins and some chicken noodle soup I'd be a gonner for sure.

The headache was nearly as bad as a hangover...,okay, maybe that's a bit much....but a headache.....existed.

RyanUpCreek 8 points ago +9 / -1

It is crazy how we make it through each year with these common cold symptoms. How the human race even survived is a mystery to me. According to the experts we should have died out from these symptoms thousands of years ago.

8
brsmith77 [S] 8 points ago +8 / -0

Exactly. Over the last two years I have perfected a 'look' I give people when they start with the covid nonsense.

I say nothing, I just look at them like they are an absolute fucking imbecile. It is pretty effective.

8
jrgreen73 8 points ago +8 / -0

Just imagine how much better you would feel if you had been vaccinated.

DZP1 8 points ago +8 / -0

I got Omicron. I was expecting to bleed from the anus and eyes simultaneously. Instead, it was like a mild cold with no lungs cough at all. It did hit my sinuses but yet there was no mucus nor sneezing nor lung-cough, just some swelling that affected hearing a little, and my teeth hurt from sinus pressure, and a little throat irritation with irritation causing slight throat-based cough. I did Vit C and zinc, and the symptoms declined quickly in a few days. It was abnormal but definitely not a cold or flu and certainly not the old covid.

Screw the media bullshit about ERs being flooded; this is / was very mild.

Anyone demanding I get booster shots to prevent Omicron can go F themself. And Sotomayor is an ignorant twat puppet of Obama, and Fauci is a stooge of the WEF Great Reset scam.

3
brsmith77 [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think I am producing the mucus for both of us! I have emptied my bedroom bin once already and it is steadily filling up with tissues again!

5
DZP1 5 points ago +5 / -0

Ah. As long as the mucus is clear and not yellow-green from dead leukocytes, I think you are okay, just having tissue irritation. The virus seems to merely irritate cells but not kill them.

Oh, and I made chicken soup (from scratch) and it really helped clear things up. Didn't help the chicken but that's his tough luck.

At least take some C,D and zinc.

6
brsmith77 [S] 6 points ago +6 / -0

So far today juice of 2 Lemons so that's the Vit C covered.

Also literally just taken Vitamin D, E and Zinc supplements. Nose has stopped running. Headache receding and I am feeling pretty OK.

3
julianleroux 3 points ago +3 / -0

Keep taking zinc daily, it's generally good for your immune system and skin.

1
brsmith77 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I used to take it for good sleep. Must get some more.

3
MasklessMarvel 3 points ago +3 / -0

this will work every time:

get a big glass of orange juice and put a goodly amount of vodka in it (make a big strong Screwdriver)

drink it, go to bed and sleep as long as your body wants to

you will feel fine when you wake up

my theory is that the alcohol slows your body down so it can devote more energy to healing and the orange juice provides Vit C to aid with that

kinda like being closed for repairs

i may be wrong about the reason but it does work

disclaimer: I am not a drunk

I have something but I’m not getting tested. It’s just like whatever it is I get every few years. I still managed to paint my living room, then tear up the carpet and install new wood flooring. Don’t get me wrong, I’m juicing myself up on blue liquid Tylenol and a can of NOS every day (my preferred regimen of feel better stuffs) but it’s not keeping me down. I sleep a little extra and drink that shit and I can make it through a day pretty normally. It’s been hanging around for a week now. Might be the flu, might be something else…probably picked it up from my sisters kids during our Christmas visit since I hadn’t been anywhere at all in the previous four days.

7
npc_NULL 7 points ago +7 / -0

If you lose your taste and smell around day 5 you'll know. Just happened to me.

Fuck china!

4
TehAgent 4 points ago +4 / -0

I havent yet but I also remember all through the 80s and 90s that losing sense of taste and smell was a normal flu/virus symptom.

6
brsmith77 [S] 6 points ago +6 / -0

Try a good hot curry mate. I get a vindaloo whenever I get a cold or flu and it kicks the ever living shit out of it.

Stick a bog roll in the fridge first though!

6
britbitch 6 points ago +6 / -0

lmao - chicken windylou - god how i miss those ! loo roll in freezer always a smart move

2
brsmith77 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Might even get a Phaal if I am feeling brave.

3
britbitch 3 points ago +3 / -0

haven't had a phaal in a very very long time - definate need for iced bog roll after one of those - enjoy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and feel better !

2
brsmith77 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I lived in Bradford for a while. It was awesome for spicy food lovers. The Tesco even had Phaal cook in sauces.

Thanks man. feeling a bit better already!

3
britbitch 3 points ago +3 / -0

i lived just outside of luton for a while , there were some phenomenal indian restaurants - must admit i truly do miss the late night curry after the pub - that and/or the kebab van !

2
Trumper007 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm in the US for 20+ years. About the only thing I miss is the Indian food.

3
TehAgent 3 points ago +3 / -0

I did a Rendang curry (Malaysian) but we do usually eat a lot of Indian. I make homemade vindaloo, chicken tikki masala, and punjabi kadhi. An Indian dude I know tried it and his eyes got huge; he said 'this is the best Tikkia Masala Ive ever had'.

3
brsmith77 [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

I used to work with a Sikh who gave me some great recipes. Some stupoid women in the office had a go at me, implying it was racist to be asking him about curry.

He just turned to her and said "Look at me! I am wearing a turban! Of course I know about curry!"

2
TehAgent 2 points ago +2 / -0

LMFAO thats fucking great :D

One of the Indian guys and I are always talking about food since I eat so much Indian. I dont think its racist at all. And Sikhs are usually pretty cool guys; a group of them bought the crappy little corner market in my town. They were my favorite owners by far; its been through many that kkeep trying to make it profitable. They were always nice and not fake nice. Always down for a conversation and generally seemed like decent people.

2
britbitch 2 points ago +2 / -0

yum !!! where's the invite for dinner ? I dabble in indian cookery too , have a favorite south indian recipe " chicken curry with roasted coconut" - utterly delectable ! - have not yet mastered a truly authentic tika masala though despite multiple multiple attempts - it never quite tastes like the restaurant version - have got close but not perfected that one yet.

2
TehAgent 2 points ago +2 / -0

It took about a year of making it weekly to a couple three times a month to finally get it juuuust right. Part of that was going to the Indian Grocery and buying actual Indian spices. Even Indian branded chili powder is 'different' than stuff youd get from 'American' stores.

2
britbitch 2 points ago +2 / -0

i must confess that I buy the whole spices and grind my own spices myself, make my own garam masala and other spice blends - use a coffee grinder and the difference in freshly ground vs store bought is really huge ! the whole spices hold their quality and flavor way better than the ground - I have now two coffee grinders , one for the spices and the other for coffee - never the twain should meet ! agree that the india marts have the best quality of spices and at very affordable prices - i never buy my spice ingredients from the super markets, way too expensive, pack size is tiny and not the authentic deal. will have to start working on tweaking that recipe !!!!!!!! again !

1
TehAgent 1 point ago +1 / -0

I have not gotten that far; I do buy a few things whole and grind them but not much. A random [Indian] lady at the Indian Grocer stopped us and was telling us we didnt need to do that; its the same thing if we buy them pre-ground. She was super nice and giving us tips on making Indian food. Was one of my first experiences at the grocer too, which was pretty damn cool. Id like to make my own Garam Masala but now that I have the recipes dialed in I dont want to mess them up 🤣

does it set the cold and flus ass on fire, too?

2
MasklessMarvel 2 points ago +2 / -0

I still managed to paint my living room, then tear up the carpet and install new wood flooring.

dude, that kind of low energy is a main symptom of the deadly new strain that is sweeping the world

Might be the flu, might be something else

are you not keeping up?

anything that makes you sick is covid

2
TehAgent 2 points ago +2 / -0

LOL

And if youre not sick? Still COVID.

2
TommyJarvis 2 points ago +2 / -0

That’s how I was over the week before Xmas. It was the flu and it was minor. I didn’t panic and run off to get tested. I just stayed home for a few days and got over it pretty quickly. End of story.

Same in my household. We all have it currently, but hilariously no issue. I’ve been taking C, D, Quercetin, NAC, Zinc, baby aspirin and Turmeric so of the 3 of us I am the least affected. My wife started when she saw I was not getting it as bad as them. My son will only take the c and d, but it’s better than nothing.

Also, don't forget your 3rd booster!

To be honest the most terrible part about Covid is it can fuck up your sense of taste to make almost everything taste like shit. I basically had to live of mushroom pizza for a month because it was one of the few things that tasted not terrible.

2
brsmith77 [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Hence the vindaloo I am having for tea. If Covid sticks around after that I will be surprised!

It's been 38 hours since I felt the symptoms come on. Tested positive yesterday because I don't want my recovery dismissed by covidians as not covid. Other than unusually strong body aches that came on fast and hard I would not be able to distinguish it from the dozens of common colds I've dealt with over the years. I'm already on the mend feeling about 75%. I expect after my 2nd day of rest I'll be over it for good.

I know my fellow pedes don't fear this shit already but now the normies are going to start realizing how ridiculous this all is.

IAmTsunade 3 points ago +3 / -0

Sacrilige!

Lemon water and Quercetin everyday.

C'mon, man!

Seriously though, I just started takimg Quercrtin (less than 1/3 recommended by FLCCC) and I saw a difference on day 2. I take a lot of meds & supplements for medical issues, and this is faster and more noticeable than any supplement I've ever taken OTC.

3
YourCountryNeedsYou 3 points ago +3 / -0

Quercitin Bromelain and Zinc are my go-to's....Works extremely fast.

I don't take it all the time -- only when needed.

I use Vitacost Activated Quercitin Complex -- Vitacost.com -- I take THREE of them and within an hour to 3, I feel way better.

It knocked out two fevers last year very quickly.

I use L-Optizinc (Now) and/or Jarrow Zinc Balance...and the ordinary Vitamin D, C, etc...

If you catch it as soon as you start to feel symptoms (eg, scratchiness in your throat) - take Cold Eeze zinc lozenges - knocks it right out.

3
AngelMark 3 points ago +3 / -0

Good idea!! I can’t take cough medicine of any kind because whatever poison they put in it makes me sick! Instead I use my Sicilian grandmother’s natural cough remedy of a spoon of fresh honey w a squeeze of lemon as soon as my throat feels funny! Does the trick every time! I have to try the honey lemon n water trick if I ever get sick again! Hope your nose stops running soon!

1
brsmith77 [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Thanks. I use a whole lemon's worth of juice and 2 tablespoons of honey with a little ginger grated in. Really sour as you can imagine but it works for me.
