Technically the federal reserve is constitutional (although if the founding fathers knew what it would become they wouldn't have ever given the US the ability to regulate currency), and so is the military as long as it keeps getting renewed every two years. The IRS is constitutional, as much as we'd all like to see it dismantled. Beyond those three I can't think of much the United States does that isn't in violation of the 10th amendment. I mean when you combine all the bureaus and agencies into one category they're essentially a 4th branch of government as they don't fall under the explicitly outlined role of the executive branch, which congress definitely does not and did not have the authority to establish without amending the constitution

That's what Virginia said sometime before 1861

11

You mean South Carolina.

9
CNNdotWin 9 points ago +10 / -1

No I meant Virginia. Why I typed it. Virginia had serious issue with Federal vs states rights issues. I'm fully aware South Carolina was where the Civil War started but Virginia became the focus of it (capital)

4
TeeBP 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yup and they'll say it's moot because an election already happened.

2
dldeuce 2 points ago +2 / -0

No, they'll rule the issue isn't ripe now since an election hasn't happened yet. After the election, then they'll rule it's moot. Well, and then of course you don't have standing. I don't have standing. The states don't have standing. The candidates are so weak kneed and crippled with corruption, they don't have standing, and well you're right. Can't we all just agree that whole old constitution thing is just kind of moot at this point anyway. What difference, at this point, does it make?

Yeah but the idea of “preserving the rights of the minority in the future” only matters if you care about the country… or the future.

I’m sure there are globalists running around DC with bags of money trying to buy all the votes they need for this.

The only thing stopping dc politicians from taking the money is a fear of being beaten to death by a mob of their constituents if they get caught with the bribe. There is no ethical question for them at all.

4
-jjjjjjjjjj- 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yeah, but not what you think. It taught them they can take power and when the GOP gets in control they'll appoint some liberals to the SCOTUS and do nothing with it. Trump's appointment of McConnell's feckless liberals encouraged them to take more power because they know the GOP doesn't know how to use it.

2
pullofthemoon 2 points ago +2 / -0

Then they'll just change it back then. Like they're doing this time. How are Democrats at all restricted by established law? They aren't.

2
hoppy-kangaroos 2 points ago +2 / -0

They know they're just placeholders. They're too short sighted to care about long term consequences. They do the tyranny thing and then they get invited to parties and patted on the back. If they refuse the facade ends and they are nothing and have their lives destroyed.

I think it's important for us to keep in mind what a ridiculously long shot this is.

First, Manchin and Sinema BOTH have to agree to the rule changes - nuke the filibuster - then they have to get 50 votes to start debate on the bill(s), then they need to get 50 votes again to pass the legislation.

At no point can they afford a SINGLE democrat detractor.

And that doesn't even account for senators like Jon Tester and Mark Kelly.

This is DOA, guys.

32
EDDIT_IS_CUCKED 32 points ago +34 / -2

You named a shitload of commies who would gladly vote yes on all of these things. It's not nearly as DOA as you claim it to be.

17
NotAHandshake 17 points ago +18 / -1

How many potentially traitorous RINOs do we actually I have? I know according to the doomers 90% of Republicans fall in that category, but I'm curious as to the actual number and I'm guessing it's not enough to tip the scales since the legacy media never reports on it.

40
WindyCityBluez 40 points ago +40 / -0

If you live in a red state. You better demand they don't allow this. Its litterally in the constitution that states have the right to govern their own elections.

8
tabularasa_556 8 points ago +8 / -0

Sounds to me like it wouldn't be a hard case to make. 2020 demonstrated that states can do whatever the fuck they want in regards to elections and nobody has any standing to stop them.

2
covok48 2 points ago +2 / -0

No, DEMOCRATS can do whatever they want. Republicans will get the book thrown at them. All these state Gerrymandering lawsuits are against Republicans now that Democrats aren’t in control on a local level.

5
thisguy883 5 points ago +6 / -1

Sure, I'll get my cucked Senator Cruz and even more cucked Senator Cornyn to fight this.

My cucked house rep already voted for it, regardless of what his constituents actually wanted.

2
AmannamedRJ 2 points ago +3 / -1

Cruz will serve as an ally.

He's currently trying to save himself from his monumental fuckup. He knows he needs to be as public in stopping this as possible, now that angry red eyes are on him. Keep this pressure up. He wants to return to the good graces of his constituency. Notice he only backstabbed long after people began to like him?

1
covok48 1 point ago +1 / -0

Enough.

1
AmannamedRJ 1 point ago +1 / -0

Enough of what exactly? Immediately after he cucked out and got called out and brutalized in the media what's the first thing he did? He asked what the FBI was doing at the capital - this is very useful information and it tells us how Cruz operates.

Cruz is a smarmy opportunist. He's calculating, and he knows that if he's not in public light trying to stop democrat insanity his ass is on the chopping block. Start considering how people are and use that to our advantage.

You don't even need to trust him - literally just keep the pressure on him and he should vote our way.

3

How in the hell can congress pass a law that takes over what was granted solely to the states by the constitution? I guess because they think they can win with this current SCOTUS. It is clearly unconstitutional.

3
victory2024 3 points ago +3 / -0

They are relying on Article 1, Section 4:

"The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators."

I don't see how this allows them to regulate presidential elections or state/local ones though.

At what point will the citizenry say enough is enough. Voter ID is supported 70+ percent by blacks and Hispanics. This is nothing but an eternal power grab.

Can't wait for all the posts with people just complaining and doing nothing.

This seems like a complaint and doesn't seem to accomplish anything... 🤔

We knew this would happen. That sinking feeling in January of last year.

Do not comply. The only rule of law left anymore in the United States of America is this:

“don’t get caught”

There is supposedly 5 democrat senators who are against the voting bill.

There aren't even movie villains in the history of film that are more evil than Democraps. Not one.

ravioli_king 3 points ago +3 / -0

It's more than Manchin and Sinema. It's about 4 or 5 Democrats who want no part of the Filibuster carve out.

Can't they just filibuster stopping the filibuster?

Anyone 3 points ago +3 / -0

Fuck these democraps, enemies of America.

lsvogel 3 points ago +3 / -0

Will not happen...Another fail for Dems...

They are so desperate. The sad part is there's literally 1, maybe 2 sane demoKKKrat senators left. All the rest are a bunch of filthy friggn commies. They were hoping the commie cough would facilitate the pathway for the final power grab. But even that is faltering as more Americans just dodge the narrative and move on. This is the commieKKKrats, globalists, and deep state's hail mary.

May they all burn in hell.

What really pisses me off here is seeing all the ways that leftists will use to get/keep power and use it to implement their agenda, but then comparing it to the cuckery and inept inaction of the "Republicans". They don't even fucking show up. If "Republicans" attempted even 1/10th of what the commies do, leftists would never again gain power. But they don't. They are controlled and bought opposition that doesn't even bother to represent their fucking constituents. So here we fucking are, staring at the end of United States of America.

"An ELECTIVE DESPOTISM was not the government we fought for; but one which should not only be founded on free principles, but in which the powers of government should be so divided and balanced among several bodies of magistracy, as that no one could transcend their legal limits, without being effectually checked and restrained by the others."
