They are trying to protect Epps by throwing everyone else under the bus.

178
FightTheSWAMP 178 points ago +180 / -2

They needed charges for sedition in order to try block Trump from running for office. This helps them push that bullshit narrative despite the charges being bullshit. They are 100% going to use these pawns to remove MAGA members of Congress from all committees and block them from being reelected.

Weird this happens after they realized their "voting rights" bill is doomed to fail.

79
NullifyAndSecede 79 points ago +81 / -2

^ this.

Maybe folks on the right will finally realize what a sham the Federal Government is when it actively excludes candidates they want to vote for.

37
resoluteAction 37 points ago +37 / -0

Sedition isn't insurrection. Why not insurrection?

30
Rainman 30 points ago +30 / -0

It's an interesting change;

seditious conspiracy - If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States

The reason they want Trump charged with insurrection is because it prevents people from holding office. Seditious conspiracy does not.

25
Grunge 25 points ago +26 / -1

So pelosi, aoc , and beetle juice need to be charged woth sedition then considering their vocal and financial support of the blm riots.

19
SquiggyMcPepe 19 points ago +21 / -2

This is more tossing shit at the wall to see if it sticks. Their case is revolving around tweets to each other talking about civil war being the only solution to the current corruption but civil war can mean many things like becoming ungovernable and no longer tolerating the other sides rhetoric. There isn't anything in them that advocates violence or taking up arms to toss out the elected government. Their lawyers will make short work of it but in the meantime it provides more ammo for the media to spin it that omg there really was a violent attempt at overthrowing the government. This will fall out of the national view in a few days just like everything else. Trump will run in 2024.

1
1776ThereIsaidIt 1 point ago +1 / -0

Don't they have them on weapons charges?

3
SquiggyMcPepe 3 points ago +4 / -1

If they do its because they own weapons or were at the event and had a flagpole. Basically to make the weapons and insurrection charges stick they needed them to be armed so the flagpoles have been retconned into spears. Yes its stupid trying to prove a handful of spear wielding men could take over the united states government but its all they have. As long as the oath keepers lawyers are not stupid this will either get tossed out pre trial or made short work of once its in front of a judge. It's all smoke and mirrors and noise just like russia russia russia and all the rest to keep the narrative going by any means necessary.

4
Justaguy147 4 points ago +4 / -0

Last time I checked, the government is three separate branches. Does this apply to the actual attempt to destroy the Supreme Court confirmation of justice Kavanagh in 2018 that involved an actual raid of the capital, arranged by congressional democrats?

1
DemonkkkRatSlavers 1 point ago +1 / -0

No those were different seditious insurrectionists, the kabuki theatre they're putting on now is about super-cereal seditionists.

3

2

Sounds like some Glowie or misguided bullshit. If there really is some kinetic shit planned for 3/21, blasting it all over placed like patriots.win is abysmal opsec, and frankly, they deserve whatever freight train of hurt is about to blast through their station. Too bad it will probably doom us all by association too...

daFFYDOOK 0 points ago +1 / -1

You really are an asswhipe if you think advertising plans to revolt and do violent shit on Patriots.win is anything other than

A: Fed Glowie entrapment. B: A stupid shitpost/troll LARP

In either event, calling it out and mocking it is the right answer.

If plans like these are real, do you really think talking about shit like this in an open forum like Patriots.win is a good idea? The post we are all referring to is a guy vaguely talking about specific plans to round certain people up and do shit to them on 3.21, but they deleted the post or it was deleted by mods.

Do you have any idea what OPSEC is? Even if I agreed with the idea that we should be doing some revolutionary shit, I would be telling morons like you to eat several bags of dicks and die. And if one of you morons ARE planning something and ARE talking about it here, then the people you are planning this with should shoot you for broadcasting it. And if they don't you all deserve the shitshow that is going to happen to you.

So it's either a LARP or a legit moron, or a Fed. None of those three things are helping right now.

People like you are about as sane as Qtards. Fucking tryhard larping morons.

5

Literally just so they can say 'Nuh uh! Those guys were charged with sedition!' when we point out(rightly) that people have only been charged with trespassing and other 'low level' crimes.

41
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 41 points ago +42 / -1

I'll bet they aren't convicted of sedition. It's laughable that a handful of unarmed Oath Keepers were planning to overthrow the government. You are correct, these charges are simply fodder for the useful idiots.

2
Tryhardneckbeard 2 points ago +2 / -0

All they need is one to puss out and plead down to lesser charges/punishment.

2
GainesvilleFlorida 2 points ago +2 / -0

Very distrubing that the indictment was that they were using encoded communications. This sounds like a very interesting case. I wonder if precedent could come of this.

2
Justaguy147 2 points ago +2 / -0

Encoded communication. Like texting on signal?

1
trump4045 1 point ago +1 / -0

7
StraightWhiteCisMale 7 points ago +7 / -0

They're JUST NOW charging the guy who planned and orchestrated the breach, while people have been rotting in solitary confinement this entire time for nothing more than walking through the capitol, waved in by capitol police, well after the breach occurred.

Think about that.

2
Forbidden_outcast 2 points ago +2 / -0

The thing is- I read all of his messages that he sent back last February- so they’ve long known all of this. This is that Mark Elias guy- trying to get these people charged so that they can be banned from running for political office. (Not Stewart Rhodes, but all the maga politicos)

It’s infuriating. We cannot let them get away with this. It seems so shaky, and noone believes it- but they’re going to try to blow it up into some huge propaganda story to mesmerize the masses.

51
38
anon2309011 38 points ago +39 / -1

5
CyclopticErotica 5 points ago +5 / -0

I've never bought dog food from the internet in my life, and it didn't try to sell it to me.

One day I went to feed the dog, and I went "crap, we are out of dog food". The Internet went crazy trying to sell me dog for a week.

1
ModernKnight 1 point ago +1 / -0

I've never done this, but I have heard of other people getting together, having one guy go on an errand and leave his phone behind, and try to guess what the conversations people had while he was gone based solely on the ads he gets after he gets back.

2
Forbidden_outcast 2 points ago +2 / -0

I remember reading the messages back in February. Why are they now doing this?

Plus- thank for this link. It talks about how they went in formation and charged up the stairs to the capitol? Surely there is video of this. Why haven’t we seen it??

2
GainesvilleFlorida 2 points ago +2 / -0

It certainly wasn’t the main steps, that was a mass of people like at a concert.

1
Forbidden_outcast 1 point ago +1 / -0

That’s the picture I have in my mind, too. It seemed like alot of people, and a crowd push near the front. But in formation…. that makes no sense. And after he talked about and uses the word formation in messages- then they reported that they all met there and stood around for about 10 minutes. Where are the videos of them inside the capitol?

To me, it’s not making sense. The man may have talked a lot of shit- but then they didn’t do anything. Probably bc they were waiting on someone else to start it, and that didn’t happen.

Unpopular opinion around here, but if I had to bet (glad I don't), I'd bet that Rhodes is one of the good guys.

24
thatsnotminesir 24 points ago +26 / -2

I have personal experience with Rhodes. He is NOT a good guy. All talk, no action.

Long story short, back in 2011, a small police department near my hometown rebelled against corrupt Town Council and Police Chief. The officers were even ordered persecute local political opponents.

I know most of those officers personally. I also wrote several research papers on this during my master's courses.

I mean, it's a SMALL department. 13 total officers. 10 of them filed the complaint. 7 were fired. The other 3 had their lives made so miserable they quit.

The police union ignored them. The state ignored them. So they reached adout to the Oathkeepers. Rhodes agreed to take their case. Then... disappeared and did nothing. Just ghosted them.

The officers lives were destroyed, but they won in the end when they finally found an attorney who would help them in federal court. They won their federal lawsuit, the chief and town manager were found personally responsible. Most of the corrupt Town staff were eventually fired. So it was clearly a good case. They did get big fat backpay and damages checks. But this was 5 years after.....

Most of the cops found other jobs eventually, many after bankruptcy. The leader of the group ended up becoming police chief of the exact same department. He just got elected county sheriff last November.

If the Oath Keepers are not willing to protect officers who are persecuted for...refusing to break their oaths.... Then why do they even exist?

16
MadMaxUSMC 16 points ago +16 / -0

As far as I can tell the actual purpose of that organization is to collect money, write newsletters and allow federal agents access to patriots.

12
thatsnotminesir 12 points ago +12 / -0

Exactly. A front. Likey used to gather info on real patriot cops for over a decade.

4
CyclopticErotica 4 points ago +4 / -0

It seems obvious the entire plan as presented by the article was conceived to fail and ensnare possibly unsuspecting members.

Now they are going to burn the whole organization (which they own) to protect Epps.

1
Bloom620 1 point ago +1 / -0

1

11
InternationalSpy007 11 points ago +11 / -0

This is so they can finally say "see it was sedition after all, some people were charged"

Of course, there will be no convictions, but in the meantime, they can use it as part of their plan to try to ban Trump from ever running again.

Honestly, I thought Eric Holder was bad, but this Merrick Garland is turning out to be the most corrupt AG in American history.

3
Forbidden_outcast 3 points ago +3 / -0

Him and that Mark Elias. He actually has planned it all out and gaveinstructions of how to take Trump and other maga people out. I think this is part of that plan, like what they’re basing it all on.

7
Savagemuderfucher 7 points ago +7 / -0

Is sedition a crime in the US? Sedition is the crime of revolting or inciting revolt against government. However, because of the broad protection of free speech under the FIRST AMENDMENT, prosecutions for sedition are rare. Nevertheless, sedition remains a crime in the United States under 18 U.S.C.A.

7
Tip-O-Matic 7 points ago +7 / -0

From the Revolver article (October 2021) -

And lo and below, Ray Epps and Oath Keepers kingpin Stewart Rhodes are old pals in the organization. In fact, Stewart Rhodes was Ray Epps’s old boss. Back in 2011-2012, Epps was the Arizona state chapter leader of the Oath Keepers — the biggest Oath Keepers chapter in the country

So Ray Epps, who was an Oath Keepers leader 10 years ago, and who is on multiple videos trying to convince people to storm the Capitol building, not only is invited to sit in front of Congress and lie about being an FBI lackey, but he gets off scot free in all this.

Fucking amazing.

Oh shit OK now I am confused the other person who replied to me said he wasn't a fed because he is being charged.

1
Joeshmoe91 1 point ago +2 / -1

Okay, maybe it’s 99% surely for optics. Let’s see if he’s actually arrested and given significant jail time comparable to the Q shaman dude. It’s easy to charge someone and plaster articles about it all over to keep the narrative from crumbling and then have his lawyer “win” in a fake court case that sees him do absolutely no jail time.

I was told he was antfia.

Not if they overcharge him (which they most certainly did w a charge of sedition - lol) and he walks free.

Womb___Raider 3 points ago +3 / -0

All of this can be dismissed.

BLM has been actively trying to overthrow the US government for over a decade. Many speeches are on record of them saying this. Their own website states this.

While I do not support the overthrow of the government, I think the DOJ needs to be even-handed on how they charge people.

resoluteAction 3 points ago +3 / -0

Don't forget they murdered Oswald and then his assassin ruby to cover their trails before. What wouldn't they do?

Strongocho 3 points ago +3 / -0

Meanwhile Ray Epps being involved is being called a "conspiracy theory". I am tired of clown world.

How did he end up with the eye patch?

1
Bloom620 1 point ago +1 / -0

Dropped a gun, it fired, shot himself in the eye. He was a fire arms instructor. SMH!

2
WindyCityBluez 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thats crazy.. no one had weapons. They claim others where outside ready to bring in weapons.

They got someone to flip or FBi informant made up a story.

The charges are brought just in time to avoid a trial before the midterms. If they where brought a month or 2 earlier, they could have went to trial.

This is ALL about the midterms and making sure Trump can't hold hold office again.

2
MrStep 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ludicrous, particularly after the "we talked to Epps, he never entered the building despite inciting others to, so he's innocent". What a fucking Fed asset that guy is.

The Oath Keepers leader should 1000% be freed based on that standard.

2
Bigly2021 2 points ago +2 / -0

Anyone legal Pedes here think there's a chance these charges stick? Also any way this could pave the way for the Dems to try to ban non Rino Republicans from holding office?

DefKon1 3 points ago +3 / -0

Not certified legal, but have studied and won 3 criminal cases at the Bar ( 2 with Prejudice). This article is full of misleading Truths and Big Lies. I have possession of the letter S.Rhodes sent in November. It did state to be prepared for an Insurrection..by opponents of the Constitution if they became violent. It asked all members to obey all lawful orders. It told members to obey any lawful orders given by the President of the U.S. if he enacted the Insurrection Act ( which is lawful, provided the sitting President is lawfully elected). It also stated UNEQUIVOCABLY: DO NOT GO TO 1/6 ARMED, DO NOT TRESPASS ANYWHERE, OBEY ALL POLICE ORDERS. Now, IF S. Rhodes sent other private letters to a smaller group, I cannot speak to that...but no, Rhodes CERTAINLY DID NOT call for an Insurrection or any other unlawful acts in his mass mailings...But since when has Truth stopped a bad judge???🐸🏴‍☠️

Is there a place to read this letter? It would be very helpful.

Thanks

Hey, I just checked the folder I had it in and am getting 404. 🤔. I'll try again later, but I might have another way to get it, we'll see. Gonna have to touch some bases. I guess I should have taken better care of it, but who the fuck knew? (Don't blame me too hard please, if you knew what I been thru post 11/3/20 you would understand). I do have some stuff post 1/6 ( he def upset) and two pieces Rhodes wrote that are pretty spicy, as an open letter to the President. But nothing that calls for anything illegal, just an Alert that Kommies were up to no good..lol..But the OP article states Rhodes sent some encrypted stuff. I know nothing about that, and I'm rather doubtful, not his style, and he's too smart for that shit. 🤔 I think, lol. In my opinion he's getting the Stone, Manafort treatment!...🐸🇺🇲

I don't feel that way..". Sorrow can be a part of it. My son died not long back, but I am very thankful every minute I had with him!...We're with you Fren!

now we'll see how they tie this to TRUMP, all the prosecutions are to attack TRUMP.

2
mikethemarine 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is nothing more than a rag propaganda article, you should be ashamed for burning my eye's with these lies.

1000's of followers? there were MILLIONS there, and they will say but only 1000's participated in the capital at all, again not true 100's did that, and mostly FBI Antifa and BLM did that shit, the MAGA people stayed within the velvet ropes

2
CrusadingPowerUser 2 points ago +2 / -0

Donald Trump should come out and promise presidential pardons to anyone involved in peaceful demonstrations on January 6th.
