Point out to a leftist that container ships/shipping is one of the largest polluters globally, and that by bringing production back to North America Trump's policy made an enormous and positive impact on the environment.
The response I normally get something like "That doesn't count, he didn't mean to do it."
Putting heavy restrictions on local manufacture, without applying the same standards to imports. That's how you get materials grown in South America, processed in Asia, and sold in the US. Products that used to be made locally are shipped not just halfway, but all the way across the globe. Climate policy has only bolstered the oil industry of which the spouses, children, and siblings of many key politicians are board members. Government is never the answer.
This is what government should be for. Giving incentives for manufacturing on American soil, for buying American products, and for hiring Americans. I'm find with my tax dollars going to stuff like this and not straight to third world countries.
Let me tell y’all something. I used to work for the Ports. Last year in Sept we could even keep up with all the vessels scheduled to come in. It was a freaking nightmare. All of the sudden in late August the shit just slowed to a crawl and is still like that. There are two ports in Laporte Texas. BCT and BPT. All together theres 27 Max cranes to work the vessels. Out of all of them they are only allowed to use 12 at a time right now. WTF! They say it’s because theirs no room for cargo. Hmmmm….go look! They poured concrete at BPT last year increasing the port size dramatically. Smells fishy but no one’s talking!
Let me take a little ride over there tomorrow and see if it's still empty. I promise you it was when I left back in Aug21 and that's when they started the 12 crane only procedure. I'll get back to you Hamster. I know for sure their only working 12 cranes total for both ports still. I can see them from where I live and it's pretty easy. Boom up, not working! Boom down, working plus you can easily see a ship docked.
Hamster, I was wrong man. I just drove over to BPT, and it's packed with containers. They are definitely still only working 6 cranes at BPT. Guessing there working 6 at BCT. Only saw a hand full of trucks moving containers. Sorry for the wrong info but back in late August and September there was plenty of container space. No clue on what's going on man. Never seen this before.
I've got a fun story I'll share with you next time we're on this topic regarding the military storage silos in Long Beach, but I want to double check my facts first.
Saying there's no room for cargo would be a really thing to prove untrue. A simple drone across the street could do some footage. So either it's true and they don't have room or no one has done some of the most simplistic type of journalism ever to prove they're lying
The ships will soon stop coming as new outbreaks in Chyyna have led to lockdowns. The bright side is this may allow our ports to catch up, unfortunately there will be a delay in cheap trinkets and solar panels
I've noticed this several times before. Communist policies failing somewhere? Just change the definition of success to match whatever you want. Voila! Success! It's always been good, bigot!
Easy solution. Make products locally and save the environment from cargo ships that run on crude oil.
THIS IS THE WAY...... everywhere needs to make their own shit. JOB galore, diverse economy, and high skilled people with prospects. WINNING
You have been banned from c/megacorp

You’re right. I don’t think you pedes will ever be rid of me!
Sorry to interrupt your Reddit fag fest here, but seriously, this is gay.
But muh Amazon…
Fuck Amazon!
The US should allow industrial parks to sell direct to consumers. Instead of making garbage for China or other international markets.

"Moor the ships over the horizon." Take that, flat earthers.
Moops.
Came here to say exactly this.
Me too!
There's no moops, it's Moors, that's a misprint!
Calm down, bubble boy.
"How you doing over there? Not. Too. Good."
😳 ITS MOORS, SAY MOORS!
"MOOPS! MOOPS!"
Donald!
How bout taking your top off?
The proper wording would be to move the ships further into the horizon.

Glad to see this video shared! A great explanation of FE.
You see the thefts on trains in LA. Looked like a 1/4 mile of opened packages and shipments.
Really? I would love to see that.

Just out for a jog sir !!
Jesus. I hate looters the most. It's just something about it I find the most disgusting.
Because they make the social contract fall apart. Society ceases to function around people who act like that.
Good point
Sorry it took me so long. https://news.yahoo.com/thieves-loot-freight-trains-los-214224509.html
Thanks, 👌🏽
Butt pirates are not necessarily well versed in maritime operations. Common misconception
I blame the Village People
Wonder if he can move stalled trains onto hidden sidings...

Given his background as a spook...this was likely all planned. And if you dare criticise him...he's got homo-armor.
His chest plate lactates!!!

Someone like PV ought to do a bit of undercover digging into this. Sounds a bit odd to me as well.

Cool. A story like that needs verification and then given wings.

No worries, but please give a loud shout out if you learn any more.
I made some calls to some people up in Long Beach after your earlier report and should have some information this weekend.
Will do man, I still have a bunch of connections at the ports. I'll do a little digging. Keep you posted.

Do you know anyone still there who would talk to Project Veritas?
Yes, I do. But you can see the container yards from the street. I'm goi g to take a peek tomorrow. I'll get back to you and War Hampster.
It's MOOPS.
Look Fat, that's a misprint. IT"S MOORS.
"THERE'S NO MOOPS, YOU IDIOT!"

I know the reference. It's a classic and it's somehow been a topic around here a few times lately.
Still gotta go with Soup Nazi as the best episode ever.
Soup Nazi is definitely up there for me. However, I would say The Gum is my favorite episode.
“See, this is what the holidays are all about; three friends just sitting around chewing gum.”
“Am I crazy, or is that a lot of gum?”
"You're NOT crazy! That's a perfectly sane food to eat! Interesting texture.. 🤮"
That episode has so many good quotes.
To bad they can't go to Texas or Florida... /s
"Flat Earthers hate this one simple trick."
Remember he ran for president lol.
Hahahaha!
For anyone who needs it, you can clearly see it's backed up still: https://www.marinetraffic.com/en/ais/home/centerx:-117.9/centery:33.7/zoom:10
What do you expect from a guy whose definition of "docking" comes from UrbanDictionary?
Wall them off ASAP. We can afford the extra fuel to dock in Florida and should import less Chinese garbage anyways.
Wait, is bootedgy in charge of the cargo ships now?
Secretary of Transportation. Because he likes choo-choo trains, no lie
He loves riding the fudge tunnel 🚂
He travels fast because his shit is already packed
He's a Hershey Highwayman, real Rodger Bearer.
how much booty could a booty judge judge if a booty judge could judge booty
Kek
A better name for him is Pete Buttplug
That’s because they are corrupt fucks stealing our money while we focus on distracting dumb shit they put in front of us.
didn't they do the same bullshit with oil tankers during the Carter admin?
Not horizon. Past the line of convergence.
Take that flat earthers.
So the earth is round then, checkmate flat earthers
Fitting the meme to the flair
They must not know the Nikon P1000 exists. https://youtu.be/sy9D-83GjgE
Just put newspaper over it, it all goes away.
Lift pandemic restrictions. Continue to fuck things up.
Buttgiggles likes his ports clogged just like his sex life.
The ships will soon stop coming as new outbreaks in Chyyna have led to lockdowns. The bright side is this may allow our ports to catch up, unfortunately there will be a delay in cheap trinkets and solar panels
Shit, that left button isn't even a consideration.
I've noticed this several times before. Communist policies failing somewhere? Just change the definition of success to match whatever you want. Voila! Success! It's always been good, bigot!
That's not at all how this meme works, fren.
