Because .win never made any claims one way or another about involvement with January 6. Reddit and other big tech immediately disavowed publicly. So for congress this is an easy “quick make it look like we’re doing something” because either these companies lied and didn’t actually check their content or they did and they didn’t report actionable intel
The committee has adversarial subpoena powers and has not been afraid to use them against, say, Bannon. Why wouldn't they use them to go after the largest hub of Trump supporters on the internet?
