I think Both men are exactly where they need to be at this time.

DylanPatrick [S] 25 points ago +26 / -1

I agree! Maybe 2028 for him but I'm liking Don Jr too

43
phuckles 43 points ago +44 / -1

Nope. Desantis has earned his stripes. He's next cab in the rank after Trump. We reward the politicians who deliver for us.

32
texas4ever 32 points ago +32 / -0

Love Don Jr. but I think DeSantis would be better and perfect for the post Trump period.

22

Trump or Trump Jr. for Gov of Florida and DeSantis for Pres in 2028!

Don Jr. for VP with DeSantis in 2028!

12

I'd say Don Jr should go for Florida Governor if Ron is VP.

Actually, Ron Paul had it right. We do not need a capital anymore. Reps should have offices in their district and states and that's where they should debate and vote from. There's no need for congressmen or Senators to reside in DC. They can do conferences, committee work and hold votes all over teleconference we the tech we have now. That way they can be accountable to the people of their districts and not in DC being groomed by lobbyists.

11
Conservativechick 11 points ago +11 / -0

THIS. And scatter all the agencies throughout the US. Make them live next to normal people instead of jockeying for position in DC.

5
DrVSGGEOTUSPhD 5 points ago +5 / -0

Holy crap... imagine DC without 90% of the federal gubmint! It would quickly become Baltimore 2.0 LMAOOO

Ron Paul is a genius, he was just ahead of him time. Completely agree with you on this point.

1

What happens if someone breaks into the office, and off screen holds a gun to them to get them to vote a certain way?

2

Criminal proceedings for the assailants and the proper vote is tallied.

Neither way would Trump nor DeSantis play such Juvenile games.

Only losers like the corrupt lame stream media, would try to print or speak in such a dumb manner. But only the CLSM knows how to ridicule themselves, so perfectly. Bring it on you Chinese sick dingbats

Trump is still legally the President of the United States of America And DeSantis is still legally the Great Governor of Florida.

2
Cozette 2 points ago +2 / -0

Correction, Death Santis, as the MSM has labelled him, would be far LESS "likely to win a national election" than President Trump. He's far less charismatic, speaks like a lawyer/politician and would be easy for the national and international Media Machine to crush. Remember the Machine totally LIES. They are well paid character assassins. Reality is irrelevant.

1
rollo33 1 point ago +1 / -0

Trump lost to Biden who can barely string together a sentence so the notion of charisma is out the window.

69
findthewarmspot 69 points ago +70 / -1

We need DeSantis to stay in Florida. We actually need more Governors like DeSantis. I really hope Trump and his allies don’t fuck with DeSantis.

44
Captain_REEcard 44 points ago +44 / -0

Covid should've shown everyone that who your governor is, or who your mayor is, probably matters more to your immediate life than who the President is.

18
Demonspawn 18 points ago +19 / -1

Your two most important elections are county sheriff and local DA, then your Mayor and/or Governor.

8

Governors have become too subservient to the fed, this is exactly why we need more Desantis governors, those who remember they don't serve the fed they serve their states people and if the fed is fucking with your people, fuck em.

2
Friend_of_John_Galt 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes.

1
memechallenger33 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yes. We need governors who stand up for state's rights.

grassshrimp 29 points ago +29 / -0

It's Anaconda with his many alts, he's been doing it from day 1. I'm sure he has his buddies doing the same.

They are trolls who attack every all MAGA types via "purity" tests. They find anything, no matter how small, and attempt to blow it up to prove they aren't really MAGA.

16
TAIWANNUMBERONE 16 points ago +16 / -0

He's spamming about MLK right now after years of calling anyone critical of him a "stormfag" no less.

3
Ligersrule1 3 points ago +3 / -0

ana is what Cartman would call a "black asshole"

3
Jaqen 3 points ago +6 / -3

I seem to remember the poster you’re mentioning being right about Tucker, and ACB, among other things. If you might have noticed, unpopular opinions are often the correct ones, when looked at in hindsight.

Valid criticism is worth its weight in gold. Only a fool ignores it. Invalid criticism on the other hand is easily dispensed with by solid counter argument.

When our heroes make mistakes, it is our duty to take notice. To hold them accountable. Anything less is a slippery slope into despotism.

3
Warbeard 3 points ago +3 / -0

Except he's a gigantic shit talking asshole always picking fights. Maybe it's not his fault. Criticism designed to protect us from fake news used to get upvoted on TD but it gets downvoted into oblivion here. Maybe that's why he's such an asshole.

2
Jaqen 2 points ago +2 / -0

Maybe also an asshole, I don’t recall.

Argument from asshole isn’t a logical fallacy though. If a person has a solid argument, their disposition is mostly irrelevant, other than accounting for etiquette and pleasantries.

14
rebelde_sin_causa 14 points ago +15 / -1

The only real way to head it off is if one of them doesn't run

21
rapsheet1mile 21 points ago +21 / -0

Yeah, I just don't see DeSantis running against Trump. It just wouldn't make any sense.

21
rebelde_sin_causa 21 points ago +21 / -0

DeSantis is young. Only 43. He doesn't need to be in a hurry. And a wise man knows that whoever is president after the potato is walking into a world of shit.

2
SorosHasBallsackEyes 2 points ago +2 / -0

We need DeSantis to serve both terms here in Florida. There is no heir apparent due to him being such an excellent governor. In his second term, he will make it clear who the torch should be passed to through action and not words.

5
StraightWhiteCisMale 5 points ago +5 / -0

I sure hope not. I would hate to see bad blood between them. DeSantis is young and Trump deserves the 2nd term he already won.

2
latic 2 points ago +2 / -0

He should run, not attack trump during debates, but feel free to disagree with him if he really does and then drop out and confirm he's not running as he believes Trump is the best person to take it forward. He could ask Bernie for help on how to do it!

2

that is because they don't want TRUMP to pick him as a VP to run

9

4
texas4ever 4 points ago +4 / -0

They don't want Trump or DeSantis. They want to have us run a weak Nikki Haley type candidate so we lose. Trump & DeSantis are winners, they win at pretty much everything they do in life. DeSantis's little league team almost won it all. Trump is billionaire and also top notch entertainer. He's one of the best comedians in the world.

1
Cozette 1 point ago +1 / -0

Bingo. This is about hurting both Trump AND De Santis. Plus its about inserting the idea that Trump shouldnt be the leader of MAGA even though its his vision and a movement that he inspired and expanded. Finally its about sowing doubt, division and distractions and getting MAGA to split into warring factions.

Imo once theyve done max damage with this psyop, theyll have the Republican malevolents who have been pushing MAGA to dump Trump in favor of the "better" MAGA leader, De Santis, will pivot towards pushing for Youngkin to be the best "MAGA" choice in 2024. Lol.

His staff that he had authority to hire; the Senate hired or refused to hire all political appointees were full of amazing people. Steve Miller, Dan Scavino, Ksleigh McEnaney, Pottinger, Dr Navarro and Dr Atlas are just a FEW standouts I can name off the top of my head.

This one was obvious. Finding those more subtle moves are tricky. Or counteracting certain memetics they are trying.

two weeks

vote harder

Trump makes bad picks so we cannot trust him

Third one is my personal favorite. They sent so many shills here to try and stop him from consolidating and unifying the party.

President Trump moved to Governor DeSantis' state. I highly doubt they are not working together.

1

Cozette 0 points ago +1 / -1

Perhaps consider how you decide some was a "bad pick".

Are you aware that the only people he was free to pick were members of his personal staff?

Are you aware that everyone else who was " picked" had to go thru the McCain/McConnell Senate who were investigating President Trump for being a traitor illegitimatly installed by Putin?

Are you aware that people President Trump wanted weren't even given an initial job interview by Senate committes in charge of screening applicants?

Where you aware that the most deeply corrupt DC Senate committee, the Senate Intel Committee, in most cases decided whether to vote to pass an applicant on to the whole Senate for questioning and then a vote on whether hire or reject the person?

Were you aware that the same process applied to SCOTUS nominees?

Want better hires? Send better Senators to DC. Trumps been doing his part by systematically targeting rinos for removal. Each one who bites the dust makes it easier for him to get compliance from the remnants.

1

He's filed to run for re-election as FL governor in 2022, he won't be running for 2024 presidential election.....

1
Cozette 1 point ago +1 / -0

De Santis is a young politician and Harvard trained lawyer. He's too savvy to go against Trump.

Hes also too savvy to burn his base of Florida voters. He'll need that base when he runs for national office, Lying to them and betraying them by leaving after just being re elected would be politically stupid, especially to challenge Trump who is huuuugely popular in Florida. That would make Ron look like a power hungry Crenshaw who uses voters to get what he wants. Unlikely.

5
jonrockets 5 points ago +5 / -0

States with based Gov. need to keep them. States need to take back their rights just like the people do. Federal Gov. should have least amount of power! 10th amendment folks!

Not just leftist media. Fox News and newsmax will join soon.

Those two will be pushing for a Pence / Haley or type ticket.

5

1
Cozette 1 point ago +1 / -0

Those who started pushing De Santis 2024 are never trumpers at NRO and Shapiros Daily Wire plus, more subtly, at BB that used to be Cruzbot Central.

My guess is eventually they'll dump De Santis and start pushing Youngkin.

4
OhLollyLollyPop 4 points ago +4 / -0

Don't fall into this trap.

There is even a story out there (on the Daily Mail UK, iirc) that Roger Stone is ranting about DeSantis being a fat Harvard boy.

DeSantis has a sick wife and little kids. He has no desire to put them through a race against DJT. DeSantis still has much to accomplish in Florida and delivering Florida to the Republicans in 2022 and 2024.

4
phuckles 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yep seeing it a lot too. Obvious subversion tactic is obvious. We're lucky AF to have both of them, and we have Youngkin now too.

Desantis hasn't even said he wants to run.

DeSantis is needed in FL and Trump needs to surround himself with better advisors and keep Kushner and his daughter away from his political decisions. This is my political stance.

They shouldn’t have a primary. Declare 2020 rigged with proof and let Trump have his second election.

A 2024 will be a waste of shitting on each other and money.

3
RedTie45 3 points ago +3 / -0

DeSantis is exactly where he needs to be. He’s doing an amazing job keeping Florida from falling. Texas is teetering, but is still hanging on.

3
GhostOfMyFormerSelf 3 points ago +3 / -0

They are working to pick off votes.

It's all they've got left.

My answer to that and to Mr. DeSantis is bide your time, and follow up Trump in 2028. We will need a MAGA candidate in office for eight more years after Trump, to get to all the things that Trump simply won't be able to. Besides, Florida needs you right now!

3
PartandParcel 3 points ago +3 / -0

A fellow Styx fan I see. I’m thinking Trump 2024 with DeSantis as VP. Then Desantis as prez in 2028 and 2032. I’m fine with either in 2024 though.

3

We cheer for the victories we haven't gotten and be against each other. Why not spend lottery money that you haven't won?

3
IAmNotAnAutist 3 points ago +3 / -0

De Santis knows the deal.

Trump wins in 2024, Desantis in 2028 and 2032.

We're set. Desantis just needs to keep kicking ass in Florida and wait his turn.

We all love them both, and they know it. They won't fuck it up.

1
OldMoscowRules 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well said!

3
Herpawinski 3 points ago +3 / -0

Desantis seems good but ONLY if Trump doesn't run in 2024. If he does seek nomination it will destroy his chances for 2024 and after.

If he actually wins the nomination, he will earn himself a place next to Pence in the eyes of those who would have most actively supported him in a race without Trump.

Better to not seek nomination in 2024, or to run as an audition for a place in the 2024 Trump administration. NOT getting the nomination in 2024 will best propel him into the Whitehouse in 2028, or 2032.

Unfortunately, weather he has a chance of winning or not, he does have good enough reasons to run in the primary either way, and weather he runs or not, other GOP candidates will be running in the 2024 primary. We can just hope it's Pence or some other no hoper.

If, god forbid, Pence runs and "wins" the nomination, God Emperor should go independent even if it burns the GOP down because fuck em that's why.

2
Latin_Patriot_MAGA 2 points ago +2 / -0

For me DeSantis is Trump 2.0, and I would like him to be president, but not now, to get America out of this hole President Trump is needed, DeSantis must wait on the bench until his turn comes and the MAGA movement will support him in that time leading him to win.

however, our candidate for two more terms is President Trump.

2

I love both. I do want to see how GEOTUS would view improvements to his next administration. We don't know if DeSantis would perform equally well at the national level, and he doesn't have the $$ to self-fund much of his campaign. It is NOT a simple conclusion that DeSantis could jump right in and overcome the challenges from the left that Trump did, and will do again.
