Ok, then they can stay on their island and we'll just goto Florida instead.

Go to Publix and buy a coconut water before heading to the beach. Problem solved.

37
NoCoupForYou 37 points ago +37 / -0

And "The Ultimate Sub" or one of their Tendies Subs.

That's the Floridaman experience.

15
jubyeonin 15 points ago +15 / -0

The Cuban one seems good for the beach. I like the Greek when they use guacamole off the shelf because it's good and they tend to give a lot more than the little avocado cup.

My trip to Hawaii sucked ass. I realized I volunteered to go pay a zillion dollars to have dinner on an island instead of simply going to a nice restaurant in town. Plus, the locals hate tourists other than taking their money, so fuck Hawaii every which way, anyway.

2
Killerko 2 points ago +2 / -0

They are destroying the country anyway.. why would you spare Hawaii?

1
GodzillaV 1 point ago +1 / -0

Oh yeah, it's gonna end well especially as the number of shots and boosters keep changing.

3
JackWoods 3 points ago +3 / -0

Been to Hawaii twice. Locals absolutely hate tourists and are using the scamdemic to keep them away. They will face a huge economic crisis soon. Hawaiians can't wait survive only on navy dollars.

I drink Goya coconut water like it’s my job. It’s delicious, because it’s half sugar. Straight out of the coconut is a bit much.

With a native population with an average weight of 340, they have a lot to worry about with the China virus. Good thing I never plan on returning. Used to go every other year.. and this would be the year we would go. Now, I'm planning on spending my money going to FL, renting an RV and visiting as many small restaurants/businesses as I can. I spend $7000 a year on vacation for my family every year. I'm vowing to spend it in states that deserve it.

50
Hanging_Chad 50 points ago +50 / -0

24
TommyLasordasBallBag 24 points ago +24 / -0

Went there last year for a work thing in Galveston. Wife and I did a guy fieri style tour, then hopped over to Smyrna TN to visit a friend of ours. I am from CA, and you bet your ass I wore my MAGA gear out... popping this ID out to order drinks would be considered a crime otherwise. I'd love to go back.

Hawaii wants to act like a third world dictatorship let's avoid it like a third world dictatorship.

isolate Hawaii

10
glow-operator-2-0 10 points ago +10 / -0

According to climate change specialists, their beaches are disappearing.

Maybe they can sit and isolate themselves to death, like Easter Island.

1
Mythnutbill 1 point ago +1 / -0

Funny, I thought that was just erosion occurring.

Or are they disappearing like the rising water levels on that one lighthouse picture I've seen shared around?

I can't seem to find it, but it was a pic taken a couple decades ago juxtaposed with one taken recently at the same time in the tidal cycle. Aside from color differences, there was literally no rise in the water levels.

PS, I can't stand Anthropogenic Climate Change pushers.

1
glow-operator-2-0 1 point ago +1 / -0

Erosion and not enough volcanic refill from the big island's volcano iirc

20
Fidget 20 points ago +20 / -0

Careful in Texas, Alex Jones often talks of the RV vacationers getting disappeared by cartels. News doesn’t really cover it much at all.

33
TommyLasordasBallBag 33 points ago +34 / -1

I'm not the tourist they would fuck with.. I can promise you that. We saw cartel coyotes try to rob food from people down in Playas NM a few years back, they got more firepower drawn on them from our dirtbike group than they knew how to handle. I appreciate the heads up!

14
FireannDireach 14 points ago +14 / -0

Give Alaska a try, in the summer. Renting an RV and taking in the sights in the state is a very common tourist thing to do, and it's spectacular up there. Aside from the politics in Anchorage, Alaskans overall are very friendly and accommodating. If you're into fishing, get yourself your limit in salmon, while there.

There's plenty of places in the continental US that deserve your cash way more than Hawaii. And where the natives won't resent you and try to rob and kill you.

3
JoeBidensDentures 3 points ago +3 / -0

Will Canada let you drive thru if you're a filthy UnVaCcInAtEd heathen?

3
Wholelottarosie1776 3 points ago +3 / -0

No they won't. So you're stuck on airlines. Fly Alaska Air. There are only 2 airlines that head up that way (at least to Fairbanks, Anchorage may have more passenger flights). The other is Delta and they are raging commies. I was kicked off in November from Delta because the faggot flight attended did like my fuck Joe Biden mask.

Alaska airlines hires Alaskan natives and they are based. The people I spoke to in Fairbanks said that Delta employees suck because they are from the lower 48 and think they are better than everyone.

2
JoeBidensDentures 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ah, that sucks.

I refuse to wear a face diaper, so looks like I won't be visiting Alaska anytime soon unfortunately.

2
beachbirdie 2 points ago +2 / -0

Heading to Alaska soon! Can't wait!

7
FireannDireach 7 points ago +7 / -0

If you have time, grab a boat out of Seward up to the glaciers. In the summer you have good odds of running into pods of whales and orca. The whole state is stunning - you can point your camera randomly, and get postcard beauty.

1
Wholelottarosie1776 1 point ago +1 / -0

I was in Fairbanks in November, loved it even though it was -17. As soon as I got to the hotel there was a commercial for the Great Alaskan Bowl Company and President Trump endorsing them. I knew I was home.

The people are friendly, the scenery is stunning, there is a true sense of freedom there, the last frontier. I'm going back in the summer to hike. I recommend the winter and summer. It's a great state.

2
Wholelottarosie1776 2 points ago +2 / -0

Tons of great seafood places in Florida. From Conch to Mahi Mahi Sandwiches, we got it all.

Come down to Brevard County and check out Kennedy Space Center, the Police Museum, the Warbirds Museum (historical aircraft that actively fly many weekends), and Cocoa Beach.

Stay for a week and you won't hit all the best waterside suds and seafood places.

2
Big_Sam_Handwich 2 points ago +2 / -0

Brevard is great. The zoo is nice too. They also have that huge flea market on the weekends...that's an interesting experience.

5
soban 5 points ago +5 / -0

the native population is largely conservative btw. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GRVXhBMlymI

unfortunately, a large portion of the east asian population and pretty much all west coast transplants are lefties. a lot of the unions as well will always vote democrat. hopefully this biden term will help wake people up.

2
half-blacktrump 2 points ago +2 / -0

I have traveled to oahu a bit to visit family who are native. They are drunk on the lefty koolaid. Like wearing gloves and double masks to family dinners. Socialism is the answer kind of stuff. Where are the conservatives?

31
Cyer6 31 points ago +31 / -0

I'd rather take a trip to Rawlins, WY in the middle of winter than go to a woke, leftist infested state like Hawaii. Even better, I'll stay down here in TX where it was 70 degrees today.

18
LORDEPEPE 18 points ago +19 / -1

They leave their Dem state because of high taxes and then go to a red state and vote for the exact policies which they fled from.

4
Wholelottarosie1776 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yup and NY has the highest outward migration. The rats are fleeing and coming to your town. If you don't make it hostile for them, soon your area will look like Manhattan or austin.

1
Big_Sam_Handwich 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's mostly the conservatives that are leaving though. The libs think ny is great.

3

Its such a shame the leftists got to it.

3

1
Wholelottarosie1776 1 point ago +1 / -0

I wanted to see Seattle when I was on layover in Novemeber but their stupid passport laws like NYC was a big no for me. Same with LA. Such a shame.

3
Wholelottarosie1776 3 points ago +3 / -0

Same with NY. I love my state. You can drive to great beaches on long Island (we do have lovely beaches with nice sand and waves) and in an hour take a train and be in Manhattan. Then you can drive another hour and be in the mountains with farms and fresh air.

Before we were hijacked by the commies, NYC was one of the coolest places on the planet. Restaurants, music, sports, nightlife, 24 hrs. There was something for everyone here. Once upon a time, when I was in my 20's you could walk the streets all night long and be safe. People were proud to be American here.

Now that NYC is long gone, replaced by the great 3rd world unwashed and insane, murderous homeless people.

2
Big_Sam_Handwich 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm from upstate and I'll never visit NYC again.

1
LORDEPEPE 1 point ago +2 / -1

Yeah brother I agree. I used to live in NYC when I was in university, it was already turning into a leftist shithole by then but I do remember visiting the city from when I was a kid back in the 90s. My theory is that New York stopped being great after 9/11. It truly divided everyone and gave way to bullshit identity politics.

I always said that if I had a time machine the era I would go back to is 1980s NYC, specifically Wall Street. I'm sure that was amazing. When Trump says Make America Great Again, I think that is the era he is referring to.

'The whole thing is frustrating — especially if you’re not coming from out of the country. Just being a regular American you should be able to come and go as you will,' Lonnie Sorci, of Foresthill, California, told the news outlet.

Since when are the states allowed to restrict interstate travel?

155
Hinano 155 points ago +155 / -0

Never. Precedent:

The U.S. Supreme Court also dealt with the right to travel in the case of Saenz v. Roe, 526 U.S. 489 (1999). In that case, Justice John Paul Stevens, writing for the majority, held that the United States Constitution protected three separate aspects of the right to travel among the states:

(1) the right to enter one state and leave another (an inherent right with historical support from the Articles of Confederation),

(2) the right to be treated as a welcome visitor rather than a hostile stranger (protected by the "Privileges and Immunities" clause in Article IV, § 2), and

(3) (for those who become permanent residents of a state) the right to be treated equally to native-born citizens (this is protected by the 14th Amendment's Privileges or Immunities Clause; citing the majority opinion in the Slaughter-House Cases, Justice Stevens said, "the Privileges or Immunities Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment . . . has always been common ground that this Clause protects the third component of the right to travel.").

61
Schiffblower 61 points ago +63 / -2

This is a top notch comment. I actually asked it facetiously not even imagining there is Supreme Court precedent. Thank you

Not to mention the Leftist asshole KY governor tried it at the start of the 2020 shutdowns and was also promptly booted in the ass in the courts. I know two people raised there - one born, and the other moved there as a baby with her parents. They got off the islands as soon as they could, and only go back to see family. The cities are incredibly expensive to live in, everything is more expensive because it has to be shipped in by boat or place, Outside of the cities and tourist areas it's meth and crime - basically Oakland or Queens, with palm trees.

What should be a wealthy paradise is a welfare shithole and guarded elite enclaves. Much like the Caribbean. The Dems seized control of the islands in the 50's when they got statehood, and have rarely slipped in power there. They used the plantation owners being Republican to get the natives to vote for them.

Isn't it remarkable how every part of the map the Dems gain control of, it turns to utter shit - but it's somehow our fault?

Not required for entry, but to avoid a mandatory 5 day quarantine, which I'm sure few would obey anyways.

Id say it's a pretty misleading headline. Makes it sound like you need to be vaccinated to go there.

Quite concerning how 99.9% of comments here didn't even read tbe article and blindly assumed a headline is what it's made out to be...

29
Brellin 29 points ago +30 / -1

Having to 5 day quarantine if you don't "show you papers" is basically the same thing as saying you're not allowed to go there if you're talking about people wanting to take a vacation. No one is going to pay thousands of dollars on plane tickets and hotel stays if they aren't allowed to leave their room for an entire working week after getting there. It's coercion plain and simple, "oh it's not that you're no allowed to come here without getting vaxxed, you're just going to be wasting all your time and money if you don't get the jab". Coercion. Plain. And. Simple.

26
CyberSolider33 26 points ago +26 / -0

They are doing that on purpose, hoping someone older see that, and thinks immediately they have to go get shot. It's a shame they are allowed to scam people.

18
orange_dit 18 points ago +18 / -0

If you go on a 2 week vacation and 5 days are imprisonment that is clearly coercion to get the shot.

14
JoeBidenIsAPeD0 14 points ago +14 / -0

You don’t seem to realize how intense they monitor peoples quarantine, do you?

3
Cocopepe 3 points ago +6 / -3

Nope, all you need is a neg covid test 72hrs within the start of your last leg of travel. This bypasses the need for jabs.

1
KeepAmericaAmerica 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's now 24 hours and it's RT-PCR only which means you'll be paying hundreds of dollars each for your 'test' in order to get one that will give you results in time.

Also, if you pop a positive on the fake test, the hotels and airlines will not accommodate you for free and move your reservations, so, no, this is still a mandate, still unconstitutional, still 100% bullshit.

0
Cocopepe 0 points ago +1 / -1

I am still seeing 72hrs at https://hawaiicovid19.com/travel/

10
DontArkancideMeBro 10 points ago +10 / -0

That’s the issue. You have 5 plantation owners and their families=50 people. The entire island of Lanai is on welfare and will outvote them.

Hawaii is paradise in so many ways. The locals are not all happy though, it’s mainly Japanese and Americans running the place. Tourist towns are happy and fine, but if you happen upon a town with mainly Hawaiians you will not always find smiles and aloha.

There’s more Republicans in California than any other state.

Yeah, these "forfeit city" posts can be cringe. Give up nothing.

Even deepest blue cities voted at least 1/3 Trump (aka millions of people)

No. They're too strategic. Would you want China there? No. You wouldn't.

The mistake was letting democrats seize control of the islands and allowing them to create a indigenous ghetto state there, with worse crime and drugs than the mainland. Just like they did in every other state. Hawaii should be a wealthy, prosperous state, but because Dems run it, it's a criminal shithole. Why do you think Obama settled there?

4
ex67v 4 points ago +4 / -0

Spoiler: China is already there.

I didn't say that. Who knows who would control it, if we didn't? Japan certainly wanted it. China could absolutely see how crucial control of the islands are, for dominance in the Pacific. Stop being so autistically literal and use the brains you have.

Letting them have statehood was certainly a mistake. +2 dim senators for eternity. Some great people there but tons are on welfare, hence the dim vote.

QuickMaths 10 points ago +10 / -0

Hawaii is too expensive to visit, I know several people who have gone there and said you're better off just going to an island in the Caribbean for 1/3 the price. Having been to the Caribbean myself and to Florida many, many times. I'm happy just visiting Florida when I need to go somewhere with palm trees and lizards.

Bingo. St.Thomas is an US area. No passport even needed there.

It’s not like anyone is doing anything about it, so why not?

6
Josemarti 6 points ago +8 / -2

Reading the article it's a tiny bit less severe than the headline though the ways around getting the booster such as providing negative test and quarantine. Either way it puts a burden onto the tourist they likely won't want to deal with.

5
JoeBidenIsAPeD0 5 points ago +5 / -0

It’s coercion. No one wants to sit in a room for 5 fucking days, and they send squads out to arrest people breaking quarantine like the fucking SS.

0
Josemarti 0 points ago +2 / -2

I'm not saying it's not. I'm sure some people will go to Hawaii without first knowing the policy then have to deal with this. Does Hawaii really have squads for this? It's a horrible policy and it is coercion. All I'm saying is the headline is a tiny bit sensational (though not by much).

0
JoeBidenIsAPeD0 0 points ago +1 / -1

I agree with you. And yes there are videos on YouTube from the government of Hawaii showing officers on search and arrest parties for quarantine breakers. Crazy

covok48 0 points ago +2 / -2

Take your L.

Josemarti 0 points ago +1 / -1

It's like a child. You say something to bug someone by saying "you stink" when in fact i just showered but you know that and only say what you say to bug me. Read my comment history. I believe very much the Biden admin is to rape wives, force husbands to watch and convince relatives the husband is crazy. I argue with the rise of anti anti doomers here. All I'm saying is the headline is a bit sensational. I in no way defended it. You know your comment was to bait one from me so where's your reply? The best thing to do is not reply (which to reply or not reply are both childish).

2
covok48 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yep. A 5 day quarantine period for your original 10 day planned trip just sounds pineapple-y.

6
brokentoenail 6 points ago +6 / -0

They don't want people there in the first place, they'll take any excuse they can get.

4
Patriots_dont_kneel 4 points ago +4 / -0

Based. I don't want foreigners coming to my town either, so I can relate. Red America should probably follow suit and make moving in as hard as humanly possible.

"Oh what's that LA transplant, you want to move to Texas? You'll need 3 negative PCR tests, five boosters and a written testimony from 2 different doctors that you're free from any disease because we TRUST THE SCIENCE!"

3
phil_d_snutz 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yep. All the leftist whites and asians move here then do whatever they can to keep others from coming.

6
ClaytonMagnet 6 points ago +6 / -0

Socialism is wrecking Hawaii. The beaches are full of homeless bums living in tents now.

It's still very nice, but last time I was there I could see the socialism creeping in. All they need is for some fentanyl to rip through and it will be complete.

6
Twitter 6 points ago +6 / -0

Lots of drug addicts, Hawaiins hate tourist (grown not flown) <---you'll see this on a lot of their cars.

let them have their drug riddled island.

4
OnlyTrump20 4 points ago +4 / -0

And they all talk real slow and retarded like.

1
Patriots_dont_kneel 1 point ago +2 / -1

Can you blame them? I want to keep foreigners out of my state as well. Maybe we should be taking a page out of their book.

6
Brellin 6 points ago +6 / -0

The irony is that it doesn't matter even if you do have the booster, you'll still need to quarantine for 5 days, basically your entire vacation (if not more) before you're allowed to leave your hotel room anyway. Their politicians have basically destroyed their tourism industry which is where the vast majority of their money comes from. I have no doubt that the local economy is tanking hard and crime is likely to see a massive upsurge very soon, assuming it hasn't already started.

2
OhLollyLollyPop 2 points ago +2 / -0

Victims of fear porn. Sad!

1
KeepAmericaAmerica 1 point ago +1 / -0

The article is explaining the change to their policy that if you have the currently required number of injections that you don't have to quarantine.

2
Brellin 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, coercion. "must get an experimental jab or else you may as well not come" is basically what the government of Hawaii is saying to people.

5
Stolen 5 points ago +5 / -0

Let's have Hawaiians get on their knees and crawl when they visit a red state.

5
OrangeCatBad 5 points ago +5 / -0

Does tourist include US citizens and illegals?

Illegals. Just call them illegals please.

5
buckeyeminuteman 5 points ago +5 / -0

Doesn’t this violate some kind of interstate commerce clause? Can Kentucky just set up barriers at their borders to check vaccine passports? Hawaii only gets away with this because they are an island(s). Even California couldn’t do this.

2
sustainable_saltmine 2 points ago +2 / -0

anyplace that thinks they can get away with it probably will try. Democrats don't care about precedent and 200 year old laws. To them that's all "antiquated" and they think they can put it all aside and "do anyway" what they think is "right"

4
LordScatmanJohn 4 points ago +4 / -0

Glad my folks didn't move there years ago like they planned. Had no idea just how fucked Hawaii governance was.

Only leftists could come up with a way to turn a paradise into a nightmare.

4
FireannDireach 4 points ago +4 / -0

Well, I guess they don't need tourism, then?

4
CyberSolider33 4 points ago +4 / -0

"A negative COVID test taken within one day of travel is also sufficient to avoid quarantine." love how they use the scare tact in headline. No we don't have to have vax/booster to go to Hawaii, negative test only. Still they can blow it out their ass. Just saved $7,000 going there. oh well..

4
jubyeonin 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's already enough of a pain to get to Hawaii, especially if you do not fly. Everything is more expensive and everyone is jacked on ice over there.

This is also unconstitutional. You can't restrict interstate travel in the United States. They should get the boot from statehood and see how well they do with a bunch of meth heads and carefree useless commies on an island dependent on tourism.

4
123breadman 4 points ago +4 / -0

The article also says a negative Shanghai test is acceptable.

4
MR_ROBOT1776 4 points ago +4 / -0

I don't see how this means you get to be part of the union. Can Florida and Texas require you not be a Commie and also prevent illegals from entering by any means? Or do we just put outrageous requirements on our own tax-paying citizens now?

2
OhLollyLollyPop 2 points ago +2 / -0

I vote for no Commies and no Democrats in Texas. They want to lock up all of us healthy purebloods.

4
US3RNAM3 4 points ago +4 / -0

Title is misleading "A negative COVID test taken within one day of travel is also acceptable"

4
freundwich 4 points ago +4 / -0

Isn't there something in the constitution about the right to move freely between states?

4
ILoveSilk 4 points ago +4 / -0

The most pathetic and hypercritical retarded state. Every time they had Hawaii people on the food programs, they talked about how they cherished their island WHILE sharing food with hosts using styrofoam and plastic utensils all the time. Have been there once. good bye forever.

4
reallybadmanners 4 points ago +4 / -0

Imagine having a checkpoint checking your papers for interstate travel to cross over the border of a new state. If Hawaii is America this can’t be legal. Can’t restrict free passage from state to state. If they can do this Florida can check you’re not a democrat before crossing their border.

1
Consumerbot381732 1 point ago +1 / -0

I’m surprised state border checkpoints haven’t already happened during this “emergency”, actually.

4
Chuj 4 points ago +4 / -0

Funny, so many vaccinated, boosted coworkers still caught COVID. I guess Hawaii does not realize they cannot escape - but they can wreck their economy

4
CrocodileBeers 4 points ago +5 / -1

Pretty sure the bulk of their economy is tourism, so let’s see how long it takes them to reverse it after shooting themselves in the foot.

3
ObviousStatementMan 3 points ago +3 / -0

Awesome, enjoy your endless jabs, sickness and rapidly disappearing economy you stupid pineapple eating fucking idiots.

That's going to remove their tourism revenues by a minimum of 50% (maybe more), of which their economy is intrinsically tied to. Nearly one quarter of the state's economy is driven directly by tourism.

Their economy is already taking a massive hit from the earlier COVID lockdowns/mitigation efforts - and this will absolutely devastate it. The highest unemployment %'s in the USA due to their already idiotic policies. And this will collapse it even further.

One of the highest costs of living in the US, now one can only expect this will grow faster, all while inflation screws us all over. So, why would they commit financial suicide like this? My guess is that they are planning some kind of Federal bail out and the vaxx requirement will speed up the process by way of deleting what remained of their necessary tourism revenues.

Mark my words, in less than 3 months we'll be reading about Hawaii's economic devastation, crumbling tourism and how they need billions in Federal assistance to make ends meet.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if some kind of contingency funding for their exact situation is contained in one of the many endless spending bills - and by committing financial suicide w/ these vaxx requirements, it will speed up their ability to claim this funding since they are about to further implode their #1 industry for liquid asset generation.

3
TDAF 3 points ago +3 / -0

Also Hawaii: We need a government bailout.

3
NonyaDB 3 points ago +3 / -0

Sanction Hawaii now, remove their representation in Congress, and deploy the 25th ID to take over all government buildings and functions and boot the current leadership out into the streets.
It will either act like it's part of the union and remove this mandate or be treated like a heavily-taxed hostile protectorate with our military boot on its neck 24/7/365.

3
Jack_HinsonTN 3 points ago +3 / -0

This on top of the study from Israel showing the bosters do exactly dick against "muh midterm variant" makes me wonder how much longer this farce will go on. They appear to have lost the plot.
