Wow. The produce section is the most important department in a grocery store. People making an assessment of how fresh and clean the entire store is based on the condition of the produce section. This produce section tells me the entire store is very well kept. There's a ton of pride at that store.
Usually the bananas where I was. I didn't work produce, but I did unload the trucks that came in from about 2300-0230. At least the spiders were usually pretty slow after a few hours in a reefer truck, so they were easy to avoid and crush.
If the store does enough floral, too, you'll also seasonally get centipedes of a few different varieties. The bulk shipments of those had their own trailers, and weren't always cooled, so those guys could be pretty speedy in the summer.
I remember turning over an avacado and finding a giant spider on the other side. Freaked me out but I was able to put it down carefully. Got the guy stocking produce and he freaked out. Called some other guy in to actually remove it from the store.
I zoomed in as I thought the work was nice and awesomely. I think I recognize this chain; This omnivore gets avocados, apples, eggplant and meats from them. Cause it’s all fresh and hands down good at a very reasonable price. Multiple States and cities. Very fresh
Awesome. I never knew how important positions like yours are. I had a buddy become the butcher,at a store, and I was like whoa. The pay is really good from what I hear, too
worked at Food4Less. The produce manager was making 4k a month or so and said it was good enough for him since the job was easy.. Honestly though, Takes far too long to reach that point in retail.
I worked at a grocery store when I was going to college and took it for granted. I begged for my job back after working at blockbuster video for a month and hated it.
I never forgot how flexible my produce manager, seafood manager and meat dept manager were in giving me hours that worked with my class hours.
Capitalism at it's best. Work hard brother, good things will come in the future. Shalom.
am i the only one who first zoomed-in on the pic looking for stickers or an orange with Trump hair instead of only admiring the beautiful display?
for the record, i couldn't find any but, yes, absolutely lovely produce department!
I saw the potatoes n thought is there a Biden joke in this pic! 😆
look at the bag of Joe Biden on sale for $4.99!
Those bag of potatoes have a higher higher IQ than the potato at the White House.
No, but I did check the price of the avocados. 10/$10 is a great deal.
certainly photo worthy - looks too perfect to shop in!

Nice going.
We do have the best assistant managers folks. Hard work makes life easier
Looking good.
Beautiful.
I like how you stacked the tomatoes.
Like cannonballs on the old man ‘o wars!
I'm carnivore but can appreciate a good display, hard work, and pride👍👊
Just remember, all that meat comes from vegetarians. The animals don’t eat meat. 😉
I'm not convinced the animals eat vegetarian at this point.
Seen any spiders yet?
Spiders? Not really no. I saw a rat last year but nope no spidies.
I worked in a Deli many years ago but sometimes had to go into the produce cooler
Get ready to see big spiders
Hopefully dead
Anyway your display is on point and I mean that
They get shipped in with the fruit from South America.

Good job OP, ownership in and of your labors is a gift from above.
Amen.
Wow your produce is cheap compared to where I live…$5.00/lbs honey crisp apples, $1.50 avocados.
Oh you live in WA state too?
lol. why the fuck are these apples so expensive? they made em right over there.... also rainier cherries. wtf...
The avocados must be on sale. 2 for $5 is the non sale price here.
Yikes. Just bought small avocados last week for [double checks receipt] 48 cents each.
Good for you, sir. A man who is proud of his work will go far.
Having said that, I can't help but think that this exact same comment, were it posted on reddit, would get responses like:
How dare you not want to hate your employer.
why dont you embrace anti-work?
by willingly exchanging your labor for capital, you're being exploited. why aren't mad?
you should only have have ambitions of wanting politicians to give you free shit paid for with other's tax money.
Lol
Dude, very nice work.
So clean.
Symmetrical.
Like poetry or music.
Taking pride in your work, no matter what it is, is the secret to enjoying the work.
You hate your job, try to find the opportunity to take some pride in it and it will make working enjoyable.
Nice.

Looks like a Food City.
My thoughts exactly.
Looks delicious!!
Just wanted to say thank you and you are doing an awesome job!
What a nice looking produce department. A+ would shop at if this was remotely near me.
Fabulous.
Looks really good. I would happily buy your produce.
Well done! Looks fantastic.
Pride is contagious!
Those are some good looking tomatoes and avocados……. They are begging to be made into guacamole.
Clean, organized, done with care and attention to details. That's what makes the country great. We need a massive return to this type of attitude!
Looks like the Whole Foods by my house

Fine job, sir!
You are amazing.
Assistant TO the regional manager
That looks like a county market.
Sexy, good job man
Is this at Fresh Market??
Hows that guacamole mix? Just add to mashed avocado?
Yeap. The mix is delicious
And it is appreciated. I always love seeing the produced displayed so nicely.
Your display looks very clean and enticing. You perform an important service and do a good job at it.
Looks good. Not all just tossed on a shelf. Shows you take pride in your work
Fuck yeah! That's an amazing fruit stack you got there!
Pride in one’s work is a key to mental health.
This has gotta be Food City, its how my produce isle looks at the one I shop at.

It’s awesome to go to a job you love!!!
Looks great. Might I ask, what are you being paid?
Nice. The pride in yourself and your work shows.
Looks great brother well done!
