Proof Biden/Harris absolutely suck at diplomacy.

TenFeetHigher 206 points ago +207 / -1

Those last two words weren't really necessary.

73
DRKMSTR 73 points ago +75 / -2

In context, they are.

We desperately need diplomacy now more than ever and it's becoming clear we're not going to get it.

Trump should just do it.

Didn't they just try to use that against Gen Flynn? Nothing stopped that from happening. Thankfully be beat it but didn't stop it from happening.

7

He probably still is sucking off Iran

5

No, that was just selective enforcement. The law is still there, they just ignore it when it's inconvenient.

17

Jesse Jackson acted on behalf of the U.S. government all the time negotiating the release of hostages and nothing happened to him. So did Jimmy Carter.

  1. Those are both Democats. 2. They were probably approached by our government to do so. Call me crazy, but I don't think the Biden Admin is gonna be asking Trump for help any time soon. Call it a hunch.

Like they did John Kerry.

3

He’d be the first person ever convicted of violating it and if he manages to bring peace and stability to the region AND they still somehow decide to convict him... Russia may be the ones calling for no civil war in the United States along with the Taliban and the rest of NATO.

17
GabeC1997 17 points ago +18 / -1

If you want to get technical, it's Russia's Cuban Missile Crisis, but with the roles reversed.

5
labiator 5 points ago +5 / -0

The Cuban missile crisis started the same way. Tit for tat.

3
DieHeretic 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yep. We had nukes in Turkey, too close for the USSR's liking

The deal Kennedy made with Kruschev was those nukes would be removed in exchange for the missiles in Cuba being removed.

Kruschev never "backed down", he got exactly what he wanted, no nukes that close to his borders.

5
PraiseBeToScience 5 points ago +5 / -0

Not even. The Cuban Missile Crisis was utter hypocrisy. The USSR put nukes in Cuba in response to the US putting nukes in Turkey.

4
SteelDriver 4 points ago +4 / -0

...or we're just "too depressed" to realize how successfully he's "mastered" the situation. :D

This isn't the "reset" the left has been counting on.

Nuclear targets are almost all leftist controlled big cities

.

Leftists will be drafted and killed

.

Rural America (the bread basket) will survive

The societal destruction of western culture and white Christian males is having far more dire consequences than a nuclear attack that can be recovered from in a decade.

I'm not sure this is a bad thing. Lesser of two evils.

16
Baaladvocate 16 points ago +22 / -6

Eh, with the amount of fallout, if you aren't in one the few small pockets that miss the average air currents, you'll get sick eventually. If anyone launches, games over.

41

30
Bertollie 30 points ago +30 / -0

Correct. Over 2000 nuclear bombs have been detonated and tested.

11
PM_ME_UR_VIVOZ 11 points ago +12 / -1

This. The concept of “nuclear winter” and a radioactive world is fear porn for the purpose of making a launch unthinkable, and has as much scientific thought behind it as one nuke igniting the atmosphere and killing everyone.

10
Iliterallylovejv 10 points ago +10 / -0

Not wrong. But worth noting that Nagasaki and Hiroshima were small nuclear Bombs compared to what's around now. I guess it depends on which one they drop.

3
NotDangerousGame 3 points ago +3 / -0

But I thought modern bombs were less 'dirty' than the older bombs. More bang for your buck as it were.

Bazhosh -1 points ago +5 / -6

You're missing one important point. All the nuclear power plants have huge amounts of radioactive material stored. Without constant cooling it will overheat and cause explosions in which all the material is spread across the globe...

1
Shezestriakis 1 point ago +4 / -3

Radioactive material used in power plants are far less radioactive than the stuff used in weapons. They also don't use that much. All of it is passively cooled, and any that is in use is set up so that if something fails (including if the facility is attacked or damaged), it stops the reaction rather than just letting it heat up. Even if it did heat up it would meltdown, not explode, which would restrict the damage to a local area.

Maybe do a bit more research before you make a fool of yourself next time...

1
deleted 1 point ago +3 / -2
1
Enlightenment_Now 1 point ago +2 / -1

Whether or not you are correct please keep in mind that the engineers in the nuclear power plants have been taught CRT.

They're being taught that being good at your job and having common sense is White.

And White is Bad.

We need to factor that into the equation.

SteveRogers42 12 points ago +12 / -0

Primary targets are ICBM silos and bomber bases. They are predominantly in red states. As are the continuity of government relocation centers. Aside from DC and Colorado Springs, major cities are not primary targets. Modern strategic nukes are much smaller yield than the Cold War days and much more accurate.

4
Simple_Doot 4 points ago +4 / -0

Kirtland Airforce Base (Albuquerque, NM) has one of the largest nuclear weapons stashes in the world. Probably a target.

2
SteveRogers42 2 points ago +2 / -0

Good info.

2
MagneticArm 2 points ago +2 / -0

You think Russia has strategic nukes?

3
SteveRogers42 3 points ago +3 / -0

They have a strategic nuclear triad just as we do. According to the congressional research service report dated September 13, 2021, they have approximately 2500 warheads divided between ICBMs, SLBMs, and bombers.

1
MagneticArm 1 point ago +1 / -0

Strategic in the sense of accurate

1
teknokol 1 point ago +1 / -0

Are you familiar with the Avangard hypersonic glide vehicle? It entered duty dec. 2019, one of the reasons why putin waited until now.

2
MagneticArm 2 points ago +2 / -0

That vehicle likely enhances its ability to dodge defense systems.

Not the accuracy of the payload delivery location.

7
JoePotatoesNose 7 points ago +7 / -0

3

2
Trumptrumptrump1776 2 points ago +3 / -1

No. It would be the end of mankind. They hit the American power grid, everything is over. It to mention the nuclear fallout, and winds carrying partials into the sky's to come down and be blow everywhere, almost all of America. This would be the end.

2

I agree with all of the shit you said about the lockdown, but the reality is, nobody is ever going to stop the CCP if we are ok with what they are doing in other countries or are own. We need to be proactive here, it's not easy but start small, stop buying shit from China. But at the same time, never support any politicians or countries that ally with them as well.

4
Barbs 4 points ago +4 / -0

If you think the CCP has more influence over Russia, than they do over our own politicians, then I want some of what you’re smoking.

We’re the CCP’s biggest ally, by far. Russia doesn’t even come close.

0
InTrumpWeTrust3 0 points ago +1 / -1

How about we say fuck you to all politicians affiliated with the CCP. The US has big problems here, but Zelensky is taking the fight to their ally right now and that's something I can get behind.

7
SweetCheeses 7 points ago +7 / -0

So do the Russians for that matter... and the Tibetans, and so many more. That's not what it's about. It's not about the people, it's about the corruption of those in charge.

Is this a verified public statement by Putin or information from western media sources? The reporting from this war is 90% bullshit, and this makes as much sense as the Ghost of Kiev.

9
PM_ME_UR_VIVOZ 9 points ago +10 / -1

RT is running with it, so it’s as good as legit. I imagine the actual threat being broadcast is getting amplified by the media more than it needs to be, though.

12
JoePotatoesNose 12 points ago +12 / -0

If they want to sanction someone, they probably shouldn't import all their energy from them. It's like a kid sending their parent to their room expecting to sit and eat cookies all night. They're understanding of the relationship is upside down.

26
MasterChef 26 points ago +29 / -3

There's a reason he's saying it publicly. He knows it will be picked up by news around the world and sway public opinion in other countries that he's worried about.

10
Liberty0rdeath 10 points ago +10 / -0

Sway public opinion against involving themselves in the war you mean?

The joker here is still Xi Jinping.. when will he pounce?

3
BigMikesSwingingCock 3 points ago +4 / -1

China's best interests is in their markets and their economy. They love having the business and trade deals with the US and other rich European countries. Xi Jinping isn't unhinged and he's not going to throw that away for Russia's losing war. Unless China is directly threatened, I don't see them taking any other stance than staying at distance and looking the other way.

1
ContraWolf 1 point ago +1 / -0

Eh I think Xi is far more than a businessman, he certainly has Chinese dominance at the forefront of his mind. I think he's completely fine with a global power shift that puts China at #1. Again, what leverage does the US and other NATO countries have when the majority of they shit they produce is made in China?

This is what decades of America-last policy has given us. We can't even threaten our enemies strongly because they are fundamental to our economy.

-1
MasterChef -1 points ago +1 / -2

Yes, I believe it is to delay a response but then again I'm no master of geopolitics.

Kind of surprised China hasn't tested the waters too much with what they can get away with. There were a few of their aircraft in Taiwan's airspace a week ago, but that seems to be it.

4
JoePotatoesNose 4 points ago +4 / -0

They're waiting for Taiwan's invasion season. Still about a month away.

2
monkadelic 2 points ago +2 / -0

That seemed relevant at first, but I learned later its common to have Chinese aircraft in their area. There is no trustworthy source of information, its all lies.

I mean, for the average slob these days the threat of death is the only thing that really makes them feel alive. Netflix and video games lose their luster after a while. There’s millions living in ant farm cities that live that life every day.

3
Fanakapan 3 points ago +3 / -0

Ant Farm analogy is good. I remember those ads on the back of Superman, and Batman comics back in the day.

Although, I have a suspicion that the Mouse Utopia gig is a more fitting analogy these days. :)

3
Papabravo12 3 points ago +3 / -0

20+ years ago Michael Moore did Bowling for Columbine, which is actually a decent watch, his final conclusion was that American politicians and media are bent on scaring the masses for votes and ratings (not like that is some Revolutionary idea, it’s just funny when 20+ years ago libs were calling that out)

2

What. The. Fuck.

Does putin have cancer and dying or something? Why is he being ultra aggressive? Peace, not war

33
Throwmeaway1235 33 points ago +39 / -6

Because after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Russians made many, many overtures of peace and were denigrated and rebuffed. They made many attempts to normalize relations but we rejected them. The US and Globalist cabal needed a villain, and that villain was Russia. Simultaneously NATO has scooped up something like a dozen former Warsaw Pact countries and former Soviet states, encroaching further and further while putting hostile forces directly on their border, moving around nukes and now it’s a repeat of the Cuban Missile crisis with the roles reversed.

Putin (probably rightly) sees this as an existential threat to his country.

4

Because Ukraine joined NATO positions, started a revolution killing pro russian people, banned political parties pro russian, gave their money to corrupt people like Hunter Biden, their gold reserves diappeared overnight, created tons of biolabs for USA and NATO, wants to put a base for NATO there not giving Russia time to answer at that distance, wants nuclear weapons that would probably controlled by their nazis, etc.

Rusia saw it as a risk, send an ultimatum and went to war. They have repeated what NATO did with Yugoslavia which was "ok" internationally.

0
Winrar_ChiknDinr 0 points ago +1 / -1

As soon as the combination of gas being discovered in Ukraine combined with toppling of the Russian puppet leader happened, Russia had a problem. Russia started interfering significantly. They want the offshore gas around Crimea and the onshore gas near the separatist regions. They dont want gas available to Europe that isnt controlled by Russia. They started the Crimea conflict so Shell and Exxon would leave, which they did. Russia is an empire in decline, with its energy distribution to Europe the only thing keeping it relevant.

2
JoePotatoesNose 2 points ago +2 / -0

Sanctions could be impactful which would force him to escalate. He could see weakness in the globohomo great reset plan and is exploiting it to curtail China's rise. Or the plan was to nuke it all to begin with. Let the chips fall where they may. They openly state they want to cut the population significantly and a nuclear slugfest would do that job perfectly.

“The People’s Republic of China, the French Republic, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and the United States of America consider the avoidance of war between Nuclear-Weapon States and the reduction of strategic risks as our foremost responsibilities.”

I guess it’s Too bad Ukraine is no longer a nuclear weapon state. This is the exact same story of gun control. The “Give up your guns because the police will protect you” narrative is being deflated right now. The world police is relaxing in Delaware as the Ukraine gets raped. If they only had a way to defend themselves.

1
Barbs 1 point ago +1 / -0

I’m pretty sure they gave up their nukes due to international pressure, because a few too many warheads “turned up missing.” They couldn’t guarantee the security of the nuclear weapons they had possession of. IMO that’s an even worse situation than not having them at all.

I'm a conservative so such dumbassery isn't capable of coming out of my mouth, I'm pro me, pro my people, pro America, pro fuck everyone else. Calling guys pro putin for shitting on Nazis just sides you with the left.

5
Spez_BTFO_v2 5 points ago +6 / -1

Almost no one HERE is saying stupid shit like that. I'm not calling any pro Putin for doing anything other than praising Putin. Which there is PLENTY of it here.

I side with the USA. Russia and Ukraine can both get fucked.

Pretending Russia taking over Ukraine somehow does us a favor is pure retardation.

3
isellmacs2 3 points ago +3 / -0

There are many fronts in cyberwarfare, and shilling on various forums is one such front.

It's completely to be expected, and we should expect to see every form of social communication forums (which includes us) to be inundated with people trying to shape a narrative. Not just a single narrative, but competing narratives.

That said, there is a difference between being "pro-Putin" and acknowledging that NATO was provoking Russia, and Russia responding to such aggressive provocation was entirely expected. The first is advocacy, the second is observation. It's important not to confuse the two, as most here aren't advocating in favor of Putin, just observing that those who corner a bear while poking it shouldn't be surprised when they get the claw.

1
WowStrongWinning 1 point ago +1 / -0

Bullshit.

Estonia is a member of NATO and right on Russia’s border.

What’s the difference between a Russian border NATO member there and a Russian NATO member in Estonia? Nothing.

The whole muh NATO Russian border narrative is retarded.

1
DefKon1 1 point ago +1 / -0

I am just surprised he didn't take out one of them to make a point.
