Right? I don’t pay for any entertainment and I don’t download or watch it online either. Literally missing NOTHING WHATSOEVER of any value, use or interest.

They've been around since the beginning but most ISP's block the good content. To get started you can google the following things:
Find an indexing site to get the NZB files from. Here's a good reddit link that has some listed.
Download a newsreader, there are a bunch but I use SABnzbd.
Sign up for usenet server access, there are tons of providers out there that offer it, so make sure you get a good price. I pay around 5 bucks a month for unlimited with a few bonus servers that I can connect to for extended retention periods.
Enter your server credentials into the newsreader.
Add a NZB to the newsreader to download and then watch it top out your connections download speeds! :)
Also, when you're setting up the newsreader, use an SSL connection and your ISP can only see that you are connecting to a server but not see the content being downloaded so a VPN is not needed.
The thing is….
I do have (my girlfriend has) a Netflix account…. We don’t watch it…
Same for all the other PPV stuff. You can get accounts on Telegram for $20/year….
I found out about soap2day and it’s derivative DNS names from my kids, just before COVID started. They were using their school issued chrome books to stream movies from that site. Discovered it in my DNS logs.
Told the school about it, they still haven’t blocked it. Makes you wonder what else they aren’t blocking…

Generates a 3% ROI in one day than plummets 33% after close... this is the elite traders lining their pockets. Plebs see a 1% increase and decide to "buy in" thinking its going up, only to have the elite dump after they come up millions ahead in a day. See this all the time with recognizable companies. Nike had a similar trajectory a few times. Same with pepsico and FedEx. This is why day trading will never make you rich if you're buying only stocks that you recognize. If you're investing for the future, this is a good time to buy a recognizable brand (maybe not so much with Netflix, as they are just another redundant streaming service)...
You need to "Jailbreak" the firestick to load a VPN. www.firestickstricks.com is a great site to lean how to jailbreak the firestick, to load the Real-Debrid tool, the different add-ons to load, etc. It took me several times to load and remove and load again. They provide step by step directions with screen prints, but you need to check to see if the url is still correct. Sometimes they have an revised URL listed after the screen shot so you need to read ahead to avoid any issues. I had to go with a Kodi version prior to the current one to get it to work properly.
Yes, I think the Amazon firestick is about $40 dollars. Its worth it. I would get the Real-Debrid. Kodi will work without it, but you will only get 720p resolution. With Real-Debrid you can get up to 4K. I recommend just doing 1080p because the download speed at 4K can cause the picture to freeze while it is loading. Also, when you select on a torrent, it may be in a foreign language. No big deal, just click on another until you get one in English. My favorites are Magnetol, Lime Torrents and Torlock.
They lost like 700k subscribers from being woke and canceling Netflix in Russia and they’re expecting around a 2M drop in subscribers next quarter. And they’re talking of making it harder to share your password.
For a lot of companies it appears they actually had no solid choice. The banks they relied on to finance the region (including Ukraine in some instances) have locked it all down.
Now, is that what happened here? Not sure. But just know that the banks and financial mechanisms themselves are being bastards and a lot of companies (in particular smaller ones) are being forced to be unable to do business like that.
ESG scores. You get blacklisted by Blackrock you may as well not be selling stocks at all. And it's a private company so it doesn't matter who runs the government.
Hey, it's better to be canceled than get woke and turn to shit. I still remember that first season of Daredevil was good. The rest of their marvel crap after that was absolute trash though. And that was before we drove through clown county and over the woke cliff.
It’s a fine business model if you’re creating limited run series with a defined end point. But they’re trying to do “prestige” long form storytelling but don’t have the patience to ride it out.
It’s the kind of thinking that would have cancelled Game of Thrones before it ever got big.
The camerawork was for shit though. I ended up "watching" it with my spouse by sitting with them but browsing on my tablet and listening to the dialog. The shaking and unnecessary zooms just got to be too much
I'd be extremely surprised if the Russian market had anything to do with it. I'm not an expert on Russia but I've worked there several times. In every train station, every mall, every shopping center and on many city streets you will have any movie, TV series or software known to man burned onto a DVD or thumbdrive in a few minutes for barely the cost of a blank DVD.
Not really… this drop happened after they released their first quarter numbers where they lost subscribers for the first time in over a decade b/c Russia
The person who’s Netflix account I used cancelled it because they have nothing but woke nonsense on it and cheaply made trash that has zero entertainment value. I quit watching it after their cuties deal. Now Hulu has Pen15 which is pretty disgusting.
inb4 yeahhh but it’s okay because it’s played by 18 yr old girls.
Only thing on Netflix I watched was streaming The Walking Dead. So killed my subs when they did Cuties. Now I only have Paramount and Hulu. Both were Black Friday deals $1.99 and $0.99 for a year. So paid $36 for it. Once these are done, we'll only have whatever movies we physically own and we have 3 kids. Lol
What is Pen15, trying to get my wife to dump Hulu but she has resisted so far. She dumped Netflix of cuties though, if its similar it may be a deal breaker.
It’s a show about 14-15 yr old girls and their sex life. I don’t remember the ages specifically but I watched an episode and it was just about sexualizing young girls.
The peak was six months ago at 700$/share. What we are seeing now is that big tech has finally ran out of growth avenues, and people are fleeing from them.
What no one is talking about is that many of the tech giants have lost hundreds of billions in stock value recently. Many of these companies were seen as blue chips, and had loans associated with them. That collateral is now wiped out, and people's potential to borrow has been greatly reduced. You don't just shave off 100 billion in value over night without it having longer lasting effects.
Most people's soon to be house down payment was tied up in stocks like FB and NFLX, and when they lose 25%, that prices them out of whatever they were intending to buy.
Lol thanks. This economy and market are wild. I paid cash for a rental here recently. Just trying to buy something the fed can’t print out of thin air.
However that’s the folly of tech companies. It’s near impossible for a tech company to pivot from growth to value. Apple has done it, but so many others just produce massive growth and then flame out and fall back to earth. I tend to stay away from them for that reason.
Stocks are insane. The chances of finding a truly undervalued stock before the big guys is slim to none and they still have ways of bullying you out of your stake. The rest is a game of "find the bigger idiot" where you buy a stock that you know is overvalued and try to sell it at a profit to a dumber person with margin who thinks there is an even dumber person who is somehow rich AND doesnt understand fundamentals or leverage risks.
None of these tech stocks are profit oriented, they are all growth oriented - none pay dividends. Their valuations are entirely based on predictions of future growth, and they arent growing
Releasing bad news after market close is pretty common to let the aftermarket go crazy in hopes that market buyers will jump in to buy the dip and start the day with momentum.
They forecasted 2.5m new subs and lost 2m, they were fucked one way or another. I’m sure someone with insider knowledge made bank, but this doesn’t seem like a typical pump and dump.
""Dumbass"" lol - kk. Name ANY other stock that GAINS 3% before tanking? .3 is plausible, 3% is almost $11 a share. To be specific, Citigroup gained $3 a share before a $14/share tank and 7 people got arrested for inside trading... fuck off, you don't have enough money to talk to me.
I read your other comments. You’re one of those guys who thinks having a SeVeN FiGuRe aCcOuNt makes you the biggest fish here. Care to compare accounts and then apologize here when I prove you DON’T have more than me? I’m not joking, I can prove it, and bitch slapping you with a dose of reality would make my day.
Not if you got an email at 8am that says "shits fucked" and at 7pm news comes from the company saying "we are fucked" ... these guys don't use robinhood... they use proxy platforms. I am invested 7 figures through a fiduciary... best thing I've ever done except real estate. Big companies making 3% gain in a day triggers robinhood small time investors to buy. Whose shares do you think they bought?
Did average people know the report was coming out today? They may have hedged that the report would be good and the stock would bump. Because the report is always good, right? For ten years running!
Then that would explain a 3% rise before the report came out without it needing to be some insider trading thing.
Besides, they don't do as much insider trading anymore, they use puts and shorts for that because they are easier to hide. I'm sure someone with knowledge made a killing on the shorts and we may never hear about it.
You can't hide from what's conning. Cash? Inflation will eat it. Bonds? With interest rates rising, they'll lose value in the secondary market. Stocks? If you can find recession-proof stocks, go for it!
Precious metals are retarded for 95+% of people because they are not investments, and most of that 5% are not even considering it because it takes a specific mindset for it to even be a good idea then. They are only a store of wealth, they dont actually create anything, and very few people are in a position to want a store of wealth. Or a way of getting around inheritance taxes, but that is irrelevant to 99% of people.
And it isnt a hedge against volatility risk because it is highly illiquid at anything close to its true value
Sure, if you have 2 million in your retirement accounts or have maxed out a IRA + solo 401k, go for it. Get somewhere between 10k and 100k in gold as part of a go bag. But it isnt an investment, it is a store of wealth.
It's also not even a really good store of wealth. Inflation is raging and gold/silver is like the only thing in this economy not getting more expensive. PMs are just as sketchy as anything else.
It isnt there for normal situations, it is there to truly start over - fleeing the country during a case of civil war for instance. It guarantees that you have wealth that is truly yours. Stocks, bonds, real estate, etc can go to nothing, but gold you have in hand.
You're probably the kind of person with the unbridled arrogance to describe the market going down as 'volatility', as if unlimited and uninterrupted growth is the only possible trajectory of the market.
Bonds have a consistent return, but are bad investments against inflation. Remember that the best way to understand return on investment w.r.t. inflation is to use the real interest rate. Subtract that 8% inflation rate from your 0.81% bond inflation, then consider if -7.19% is a good ROI.
As bassackwards as it sounds, getting a loan is a better investment than bonds right now.
None of these tech stocks are profit oriented, they are all growth oriented - none pay dividends. Their valuations are entirely based on predictions of future growth, and Netflix saw declining user numbers for the first time in over a decade
Eh, I kinda saw the writing on the wall when they went for the diversity checklist instead of good stuff, and let many good shows just die on the vine (like Dark Crystal).
That movie is STILL on there. So many people were claiming that Netflix learned their lesson because they got backlash for it. Yet it's STILL there for everyone to see wtf?
Most likely Russian subscribers and they raised their rates. Then factor in they only have content that they produce themselves, content mind you that belongs in garbage cans and the devils colon.
It used to be good. I remember you could watch everything from Ow! My Balls! to ASS on there. Then their shit got retarded so I switched to Costco Direct to watch all of the latest Brand® Content.
Yeah this is a long time coming and it's surprising they hadn't ever lost subscribers prior to this. If they were going to lose people over being woke/pedo the Cuties debacle would have done it. It didn't.
To me, all this says is that the streaming industry is starting to saturate.
For sure that too. They're running out of markets to expand into and at the same time facing fierce competition from other generic streaming services as well as actual movie and TV studios taking their IP in house. Once again everyone's freaking out about nothing because they only see what they want to see.
That's a weird prediction. You think we're bad now, just wait and see what will make our loyal autobilled customers pissed off enough to go to the trouble of canceling next quarter!
They've been losing a lot of syndicated shows to the owners' streaming services, like Star Trek, so I suspect they know how many people watch those shows and can estimate how many may leave.
At first I was annoyed when every company wanted their own streaming service, but I've come to realize it's a good thing as now I have other options when one go full gay.
Netflix says it lost 200,000 subscribers in first part of the year. The decline in the first quarter of 2022 is the first time the streaming service has lost subscribers in more than 10 years [...] Netflix offered a gloomy prediction for the spring quarter, forecasting it would lose 2 million subscribers
It's after hours trading when a lot of scams go on leading suckers to make moves they might regret. Don't be surprised if tomorrow morning it goes up a lot. In any estimation tomorrow will be a wild wild west shootout for a while.
That is a massive drop. I thought it was overpriced. I have my sister's login but never use it because everything on there is stupid. I did watch Stranger Things the last time it came out like 1999 I think.
What exactly is this related to? I know they’re a bunch of woke faggots but I haven’t really been following this stuff closely. What did they do recently to make so many people cancel?
Also recently announced a price increase to $19.99/mo I believed. I don't know what it costs now because we use our in-law's account so our 2 year old can watch Cocomelon.
“Cocomelon is so hyperstimulating that it actually acts as a drug, as a stimulant. The brain gets a hit of dopamine from screen-time and it seems that the stronger the 'drug' aka the level of stimulation a show delivers, the stronger the 'hit.
This leads to 1) the children experiencing symptoms of addiction and withdrawal, obviously leaving them completely dysregulated, and 2) a general discomfort in the speed of everyday life. The more they watch the show, the more the brain begins to expect this kind of stimulation. This makes it impossible for them to play creatively and without entertainment.”
Children have much shorter attention spans than adults do. Therefore, children’s shows are designed with this in mind, offering simple plot lines and short scenes. However, many believe Cocomelon takes this practice to an extreme. With quick scenes (lasting no more than 2 seconds), fast camera movements, dancing subtitles, and several sound effects playing at once (music, talking, laughing), Cocomelon could be overstimulating for some children.
Basically your kids are guaranteed to have ADHD when growing up.
Oh no! They’d better make more shows and movies with an over representation of black and lgbt people and replace white people whole sale. That’ll get back those earnings!
Was browsing on my parents tv and saw they had a national park documentary, thought that might be cool then boom opens with Obama shut that bitch off quick.. sigh glad I don’t have this shit, everything has become political and woke
Netflix may have briefly gotten excited at the idea of Disney plus subs becoming next to nothing.
Then the reality set in...."Oh shit...we already tried for our own perception change with "cuties" and it looks like we will always have to be paying for that one. If Disney had to find out just how expensive their propaganda is, Netflix is now finding out and from a position of having less that they can lose.
Both were warned, but persisted.
Meh, this happens to every company that's first to market and eventually sees competition. There's so many streaming platforms now people are starting to cut Netflix out, and Netflix has started to lose some shows like all of Star Trek. Highly doubt this has anything to do with being woke.
There are tons of free legal streaming services now.
Off the top of my head:
Tubi
Pluto
Stirr
ImdbTV (Now FreeVee)
Sling TV (Free on demand tier)
Crackle
Hoopla (library app)
Xumo
Peacock (Free tier)
YouTube (Free movies)
Of course there's all the free illegal apks, sites, and torrents as well. Let the older folks in your life know about the free legal stuff. My grandmother and her brother and sister all cancelled their cable.
I had free Netflix from my brother's login. Uninstalled and never looked back 5 years ago. Pure trash.
Just subbed to discovery+. Only money I've ever spent on TV, other than The Chosen. Dirty jobs, 17 seasons of deadliest catch, and Magnolia network (fixer upper). It's all the wife and I need. $7 Canadian per month. Zero ads

Beads aren't cheap. Are beads cheap?
He still thinks we’re talking about Bees…
WHAT KIND OF BEES?
RACIST BEES
Gwynneth Paltrow
ding ding ding we have a winner
well, just her pretty little head, but close enough :)
It's a dick in a box!
You'll find out when you get to the bottom of the popcorn.
Is it a shark?
Then the popcorn puts butter on itself, and it jumps into yo mouf.
Get my wife's popcorn out yo mouf.
It puts the butter on itself or it gets the hose...
Then you open that booooooooxxxxx 🎵
That's the way you do it.
Then you cut a smaller hole in the bottom of the box
Then you put your dick in the box
Doesn't that salt kinda grate though?

If there was anything worth the effort...
What, you don't enjoy watching strong empowered black women punching a 250lb white guy and seeing him go flying across the room?
THE EQUALIZER!!!!!
Don't forget, lesbian single-parent ex-CIA assassin too.
Right? I don’t pay for any entertainment and I don’t download or watch it online either. Literally missing NOTHING WHATSOEVER of any value, use or interest.
There are a lot of great older movies. Hell, I think I’ll watch some airplane tonight. I’ll bet a dollar I find a good torrent in a few seconds.
I used to torrent - I admit it. But I stopped, mostly because there's nothing worth torrenting.
Better to get off the TV tit, anyway. It does rot your brain.
Yes, I use Kodi with Real-Debrid. It works nicely. My favorite add-on is "The Crew".
Can you recommend a guide for getting started with Kodi + Real-Debrid?
Go to https://www.firesticktricks.com. They have links to best "add-ons". How to set up the Real-Debrid (I would do this last), and how to install Kodi. It is a bit of trial and error. Thought I’d buy another pi to reinstall Kodi try RD on. Now I see the price of a pi has gone vertical. Guess it’s time to kill my octoprint host.
Oh nice. I do have PIA VPN which has treated me well the past several years. I should use it more...
Can you recommend a guide for setting up Kodi? Not sure what all's involved, either just an app, or some sort of streaming stick, or dedicated htpc.

Don’t watch much movies/TV anymore. all this woke shit made it much easier seeing as I couldn’t stand most the actors and shows I used to like. This was another reason it made it easier to move on without

Cinema is great too. Get a fire stick and put one on it, it's easy.
https://www.firesticktricks.com/cinema-apk-firestick.html
that looks way simpler than the kodi real debird one. gonna give this a go, thanks pede!
But you need a VPN for Cinema, not for Kodi.
It's super simple. More importantly, you're not downloading anything, everything is being streamed.

I was expecting a "go fuck yourself, why don't you insert current trendy search engine here.
Thanks buddy.

Popcorn time was a bad dude
Laughs in Usenet
Radarr + jackett + transmission + Kodi. Aww yiss
Radarr, lidarr, sonarr, bazaar, rclone+Dropbox enterprise, plex, nzbget, usenet, ombi
Textbook over-engineering 😆
But seriously, I tried most of those, just were unneeded for my setup. I stuck librespot on my Kodi box to cover my music (I have a projector with separate bt soundbar), and just do TV manually since most TV now is shit and I'm usually getting older stuff.
I have over 100 users. It's not over-engineering for my use case. It is a necessity.
My shit runs on autopilot at this point. I can't remember the last time I had to SSH into that box to fix something.
Ah, I'm just a grumpy old UNIX admin home user (yes, I have the requisite beard), who had to make things wife friendly.
That bitch filled it full of period dramas.
You sound like a hero of our times
i used to do the nzbget stuff and it got unmanageable and lots of half gotten stuff
i guess I was bad at it
let's go
Radarr + Sonarr + Jackett + Qbittorrent + NZBget + Jellyfin
That's my setup, not better or worse, just listing it to give people other things to look at.
Radar + Sonarr + transmission + jackett all running on docker with plex next to it (transcoding is not doable on docker with my box). Will be a kubernetes cluster when I get the time and money to upgrade to 8 raspberry pi's.
Seriously. Kodi is trash, newsgroups for the content and plex for viewing....1000 times better
Agreed. Kodi is fucking amateur hour.
What is newsgroup?
Here's an explanation on it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usenet_newsgroup
They've been around since the beginning but most ISP's block the good content. To get started you can google the following things:

Also, when you're setting up the newsreader, use an SSL connection and your ISP can only see that you are connecting to a server but not see the content being downloaded so a VPN is not needed.
Hmmm, I don't like downloading stuff. Does a newsreader allow streaming?
God I feel old.

PopcornTime is still a thing? Interesting.
https://popcorn-time.ga/build/
The thing is…. I do have (my girlfriend has) a Netflix account…. We don’t watch it… Same for all the other PPV stuff. You can get accounts on Telegram for $20/year….
Yet, still….. I don’t watch that crap…
Please elaborate
dunno but I've been using soap2day that was mentioned here a couple of months back in a comment.
just checked out their site, holy cow that's so awesome lol. thanks pede!
What's the site?
I found out about soap2day and it’s derivative DNS names from my kids, just before COVID started. They were using their school issued chrome books to stream movies from that site. Discovered it in my DNS logs.
Told the school about it, they still haven’t blocked it. Makes you wonder what else they aren’t blocking…

So PopCorn Time has been around for about a decade. It was an open-source european project that "streams" torrents rather than downloading them. This circumvented the laws from about 2012-2015, before the Americans stronged armed the Europeans to change their laws. The non-profit/company behind the effort dissolved, but the project has lived on through Github and other means of source tracking since.
For awhile there were really shady versions from China floating around that were malicious, recently the only officially stable build is the .ga version.
You can find the source code here: https://github.com/popcorn-official
Recently the last Western team shut down their development, however Russia has continued hosting the source and APIs. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-01-04/popcorn-time-alternative-is-hard-to-find-as-app-shuts-down
Can I ask why it's worth the effort? I've always been able to just find a streaming site most of these pull from, for at least the last 15 years.
It’s practically own and operated and by all of 0bama’s White House
Money laundering at its finest
3% intraday volatility is very normal
Fire Stick
You need to "Jailbreak" the firestick to load a VPN. www.firestickstricks.com is a great site to lean how to jailbreak the firestick, to load the Real-Debrid tool, the different add-ons to load, etc. It took me several times to load and remove and load again. They provide step by step directions with screen prints, but you need to check to see if the url is still correct. Sometimes they have an revised URL listed after the screen shot so you need to read ahead to avoid any issues. I had to go with a Kodi version prior to the current one to get it to work properly.
https://www.firesticktricks.com/install-best-vpn-firestick.html
Makes me want to convert one tv to Amazon fire stick just to try it
Yes, I think the Amazon firestick is about $40 dollars.
Especially when they produce nothing but anti-white trash and then jack up their fees.
Yeah Comcast charges like 24 dollars for tv broadcast fee
That crap is free with rabbit ears but Comcast wants to charge a 24 dollar fee
Crooks
They lost like 700k subscribers from being woke and canceling Netflix in Russia and they’re expecting around a 2M drop in subscribers next quarter. And they’re talking of making it harder to share your password.
HA! Get woke go broke baaaaabyyyyyyy
Wtf does removing everyday Russian people from your platform do? How is this not negligent to shareholders? Fucking retards.
Seems like a lot of companies are purposefully shooting themselves in the foot though.
Sketch
Alot of companies don't solely exist to profit. Look at how Twitter is doing Elon
54 per share is well below the 52 week high, and additionally it would be triggering a taxable event for a lot of people
There are some reasons to say no to that specific offer that are rational
ESG scores. You get blacklisted by Blackrock you may as well not be selling stocks at all. And it's a private company so it doesn't matter who runs the government.
They why are they predicting 2M less next quarter when Russia is already banned?
They could use crypto if they really wanted the customer base. Most likely they wanted to be on the cool all things russian=bad bandwagon.
Two of the three biggest shareholders in Netflix are........... Vanguard and Blackrock. So, take that for what it is worth.
Russia is getting the north Korea treatment
If they aren't careful they'll make piracy more convenient again.
I've never seen anything I liked on netflix that wasn't cancelled after one season. What a retarded business model.
Bloodline was really good
It really was
The camerawork was for shit though.
In every train station, every mall, every shopping center and on many city streets you will have any movie, TV series or software known to man burned onto a DVD or thumbdrive in a few minutes for barely the cost of a blank DVD.
you can just stream shit for free if you search through yandex
Oof. Going down harder than Barack on Big Mike.
They lost a Twitter in market cap. In after hours.
LMFAO.
Which shows me it was a pump & dump. The big players pumped the stock and dumped it at its peak.. this reeks of inside trading
Lol
I also killed my account over cuties, most of their content is woke bullshit anyway. I’m not missing anything.
Hulu's a Disney brand, my fren.
Because of Russia? Lol Please tell me I read the sarcasm?
No— Netflix pulled out of Russia and therefore lost subscribers there.
Dontcha know everything is Putin's fault?
The insiders knew beforehand. Before the numbers were released... you kinda proved my point.
The charts show otherwise. There was no pump. The stock had been falling over the past couple of weeks.
Down $167.25 a share (32%) the last three months to be more exact.
STOCK LITERATE^
Stop trying to time the market and pick individual stocks.
You hodl, bro?
None of these tech stocks are profit oriented, they are all growth oriented - none pay dividends. Their valuations are entirely based on predictions of future growth, and they arent growing
Not much of a pump of it was already trading at almost a 52-week low, and they’re trying to spin it hard in the financial news
Stocks don't raise 3% in open trading and drop 33% after hours unless people with inside knowledge want to soften the blow.
Releasing bad news after market close is pretty common to let the aftermarket go crazy in hopes that market buyers will jump in to buy the dip and start the day with momentum.
They forecasted 2.5m new subs and lost 2m, they were fucked one way or another. I’m sure someone with insider knowledge made bank, but this doesn’t seem like a typical pump and dump.
they reported earnings after market close, dumbass.
I’m not joking, I can prove it, and bitch slapping you with a dose of reality would make my day.
...literally any pharmaceutical company that has drugs pending FDA approval, then has the drugs denied approval after market close
3% is nothing for variations within a day. Very, very normal
Swag
Insider pumps last longer than one day. These people can't just log onto Robinhood and dump their shit, lol.
You want a pump and dump, MRNA - that's a pump and dump. Even though the stock is sliding it's being pumped, it's going to zero and the execs know it.
No time to pump, and say hi to prison for not filing with the SEC beforehand for the dump
Did average people know the report was coming out today? They may have hedged that the report would be good and the stock would bump. Because the report is always good, right? For ten years running!
Earnings reports are known well in advance, so yes.
Then that would explain a 3% rise before the report came out without it needing to be some insider trading thing.
Besides, they don't do as much insider trading anymore, they use puts and shorts for that because they are easier to hide. I'm sure someone with knowledge made a killing on the shorts and we may never hear about it.
It was a green day in the Market. Netflix just rode the wave with everything else.
They dumped after hours which means next open they can pump it before open.
Going down harder than Big Mike on Barrack...ftfy
It was correct the first time
Stocks fall on predicted earnings. Every facet of the economy can see the crash coming.
Yep people can't afford streaming services with inflation
I hope people cut their streaming services first. It was one of the main things keeping everyone compliant in the lockdowns.
Fuck that, then they’ll go back to cable! Normie propaganda brain washing OG.
Or they can take up joggin'..
Where to put my money for ride out the incoming crash?
You can't hide from what's conning. Cash? Inflation will eat it. Bonds? With interest rates rising, they'll lose value in the secondary market. Stocks? If you can find recession-proof stocks, go for it!
Beans, bullets, bandages.
The five precious and semi-precious metals any portfolio should contain:
Gold, silver, copper, brass, and lead.
Explain how farming is impossible because that is unlimited uninterrupted growth
Futures and hope are about the closest to good investments I've heard of recently.
LOL, I was fine coming out of stagflation 1.0
To ride out go for bonds, Healthcare, utilities. If you want to make a little go into sin stocks; alcohol, tobacco, gambling, strip clubs.
Bonds are a terrible in investment in a high inflation environment. Gold, crypto, defensive stocks.
Um... Short term bonds have been resilient against inflation and downturns for, well forever.
Crypto? Lol.
No they have not. Bonds are there as a hedge of volatility risk. Equity is used to as the hedge for inflation risk
Gov will kill crypto -- useless when the power goes out or internet is cut
Bonds have zero trust right now. Don't go with historical advice, they are going to fuck you harder.
Hedonist ETF all day baby!
Only if the market dips in terms relative to the currency you are trading in.
Commodities.
$SPY Puts or an Inverse Index Fund
High inflation. Learn your options greeks: Theta, Vega, Delta, Gamma and Rho. Rho fucks you here.
None of these tech stocks are profit oriented, they are all growth oriented - none pay dividends. Their valuations are entirely based on predictions of future growth, and Netflix saw declining user numbers for the first time in over a decade
Guess it is time to load up on Meta Puts before earnings.
Ape is fellow retard
Pedoflix.. FUCK EM!!
Nutflex, but, yes...gave that pedo, racist crapfest up years ago.
Eh, I kinda saw the writing on the wall when they went for the diversity checklist instead of good stuff, and let many good shows just die on the vine (like Dark Crystal).
groomers
Cuties
That movie is STILL on there. So many people were claiming that Netflix learned their lesson because they got backlash for it. Yet it's STILL there for everyone to see wtf?
I stopped paying for Netflix after the disgusting Bill Nye ice cream grooming
Was "Cuties" worth it faggots? Fucking groomers.
Context ?
Announced that they had lost 2 million subscribers over the last quarter.
Ain’t that number a real “cutie”?
Losing subscribers, taking out all types of debt, plus stock is tanking. It couldn’t happen to a better company.
No, they announced they've lost 200,000 but projected that they may lose a total of 2 million over the next quarter.
But Obama will get millions to be in some shitting documentary no one will watch!
How many dropped the netflix over the Obama deal - way more than a couple dozen.
There was at least three dozen of us who carried through with that.
Probably right.
Solid Idiocracy reference, friendo!
Yeah this is a long time coming and it's surprising they hadn't ever lost subscribers prior to this. If they were going to lose people over being woke/pedo the Cuties debacle would have done it. It didn't.
To me, all this says is that the streaming industry is starting to saturate.
There was a long period they were continuing to expand into new markets. That would have shielded any local losses.
How does that happen?
They had their first ever loss in subscribers instead of a gain and they projected to lose more.
At first I was annoyed when every company wanted their own streaming service, but I've come to realize it's a good thing as now I have other options when one go full gay.
They're turning the streaming services gay!!
Competition always good. Slightly more inconvenient, but much much better in the long run.
Michael Obama came on board and fucked it like he fucks Barry.
They took Star Trek the Next Generation down.
I have all that shit downloaded. Ten tera's of movies, tv, music, whatever.
All backed up in multiple locations.
They can kiss my ass.
Going down faster than a Biden on an underage girl.
It could be a boy you whateverthehellfitsthisonephobe!
I was expecting a BREAKING! kinda drops $5 "crash". Holy shit it like, actually crashed and burned.
I did watch Stranger Things the last time it came out like 1999 I think.
lol 1999
Them kids way too scared of covid
What exactly is this related to? I know they’re a bunch of woke faggots but I haven’t really been following this stuff closely. What did they do recently to make so many people cancel?
They didn't do anything, but when people are now living week to week because of the horrible inflation, they cancel things they don't absolutely need.
They lost subscribers. Netflix doesnt pay a dividend, their entire worth comes from anticipating growth.
Also recently announced a price increase to $19.99/mo I believed. I don't know what it costs now because we use our in-law's account so our 2 year old can watch Cocomelon.
Basically your kids are guaranteed to have ADHD when growing up.
I came to say this basically but your comment sums it up way better. No way my kids are watching cocomelon.
Shit, my kid watches one single cocomelon, a thirty minute compilation of songs. Bingo, etc.
He watches it at least once a day. Might have to break him from it.
Lol.
Bro just get the PBS app and only watch Wild Kratts
Oh man am I happy my son stopped watching that. Unfortunately I have a 9mo daughter. She’s gonna be watching it soon.
You can’t stop her?
Similar situation with the in-laws and the cocomellon, and I would rather throw my TV out the window than pay 20 dollars to those faggots
Oh no! They’d better make more shows and movies with an over representation of black and lgbt people and replace white people whole sale. That’ll get back those earnings!
Everything woke turns to shit.
Don't read too much into after hours trading. Tiny volumes
Was browsing on my parents tv and saw they had a national park documentary, thought that might be cool then boom opens with Obama shut that bitch off quick.. sigh glad I don’t have this shit, everything has become political and woke
Yep, probably got $10 million for that POS!
Imagine watching a david attenborough documentary and thinking Obama's smug ass voice would be better for a documetary.
Attenborough is a climate cult leftist too though.
They consistently raise prices and give you more lgbtqP propaganda, more communist propaganda, and more racist propaganda for the higher price.
CEO blamed account sharing as if that is some new phenomenon.
Cuties II just come out or something?
Netflix may have briefly gotten excited at the idea of Disney plus subs becoming next to nothing. Then the reality set in...."Oh shit...we already tried for our own perception change with "cuties" and it looks like we will always have to be paying for that one. If Disney had to find out just how expensive their propaganda is, Netflix is now finding out and from a position of having less that they can lose. Both were warned, but persisted.
Loosing customers. Hopefully Disney+ will share the same fate
Not dropping enough
Meh, this happens to every company that's first to market and eventually sees competition. There's so many streaming platforms now people are starting to cut Netflix out, and Netflix has started to lose some shows like all of Star Trek. Highly doubt this has anything to do with being woke.
It's likely a perfect storm of events lining up
Why does anyone bother paying these faggots when you can just go to any streaming site. Bankrupt these fuckers.
It’s what happens when you give Obama a nature show and shove it in everyone’s faces
Aww a sequel to “Gorillas in the Mist” sounds lovely 😂
There are tons of free legal streaming services now.
Off the top of my head:
Tubi
Pluto
Stirr
ImdbTV (Now FreeVee)
Sling TV (Free on demand tier)
Crackle
Hoopla (library app)
Xumo
Peacock (Free tier)
YouTube (Free movies)
Of course there's all the free illegal apks, sites, and torrents as well. Let the older folks in your life know about the free legal stuff. My grandmother and her brother and sister all cancelled their cable.
Been cable free for about s6 years now. Best decision ever.
Tubi and the free Roku channel is all I need.
Free videogames is probably is more well known than any of those sites.
I think I only have heard of peacock other than YouTube.
huh? Go look up their download numbers. They're fairly mainstream. They're all owned by big companies.
Imagine what happens to this stock if people suddenly find the outdoors.
Still won't buy it. Don't hang out with people with aids.
Zero ads
Looks like sort of a rug pull.
Good. Fuck them.
Still overpriced btw
When does the board go to jail for failing their fiduciary duty by hiring Obama and his people
honest question, if thats so, why does it say +3.18% today?
It dropped after the market closed. It is the after hours trading where it dropped $88 dollars.
During the day it went up 3% (the green part of graph) after hours it dropped 25% (the gray part of graph)
Looks like some institutional investors noped out.
Holy shit. That's an insane drop. I just hope that's not an indicator for what's coming soon.....
Coming soon probably to California silicon valley. No other state should be affected
This is world wide, California looks great compared to Shenzhen
I was about to buy a 300 put for 300 bucks. Probably would gave made a grand or 2 depending on where it opens tomorrow......shoulda woulda coulda
i remember when we have signed up with them in eeee.....2002? everything was fucking different back then... only a year after 9/11 but still "normal"
Holy fuck 😳. This stock has crashed so much and they still won’t die off.
From Cuck to Kek; The True Story of How Woke Went Broke
Now thats a title!
Go woke go broke!
Needs to be 3.04
Netflix sucks dick because it's losing all it's shows to other streaming services.
Wiped out all pandemic gains and then some. Wow.
Anyone else remember the days we ordered Netflix DVDs off the internet and had them shipped to our houses?
Ohhhh, that's gotta hurt...
Explains why I've been getting almost daily emails lately trying to get me to sign back up
Did they announce something or did it just drop because its a shit company?
Lost 200k customers, first time the subscriber number goes down in forever, and expected to lose up to 2M before long
