USSR collapsed in part due to failed war in Afghanistan. Now that they walked into another Afghanistan in Ukraine (lost 15,000-20,000 men already) US top brass sees it as a golden opportunity to finally break globalist "Unified Eurasia from Lisbon to Vladivostok" project and ensure Russia and China can't form equal and thus stable partnership.

GEOTUS wasn't blocking Nordstram 2 German-Russian gas pipeline becouse someone was blackmailing him but becouse unified Eurasia dependant on Russia for energy is good for China and very bad for US.

6
TheScream 6 points ago +6 / -0

Why are you getting downvoted? I have thought from the beginning that NATO intentionally provoked this war. It infuriated me that we have been drawn into a dangerous war, right on the heels of COVID.

Like everything else they have done, I thought perhaps they were doing this to destroy the US.

Perhaps they are just stupid and really think weakening Russia will weaken China.

Given Putin's health though, wouldn't it have been smarter to take in Russia diplomatically?

Is what you put forward used as an excuse, but the true reason for provoking the war is more nefarious?

2
Continue 2 points ago +2 / -0

Because he's chugging the media kool-aid about russia getting its ass kicked in ukraine. If Russia wanted to, they could level the place, but they obviously don't plan to do that. It's silly to think "russia versus ukraine" is anything resembling an even matchup (where "ukraine" in this sentence refers to the western installed government). Their goal is to either claim/reclaim at least part of it or install a government friendlier to their interests.

The idea of a united eurasia between Russia and China is also not rooted in reality. They may temporarily align when it's to their benefit, but they will never be strong allies of each other. Neither one is interested in that. Would you trust China as a long term ally? Of course not, neither would Russia. And China wouldn't want a long term equal partnership either, they eventually want to be supreme. Any equal partnership is only a temporary measure towards that goal, to be dissolved at literally the first possible point it's in their interest to do so (ex: hong kong.)

2
TheScream 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ok. I agree.

Another thing. I am absolutely creeped out by the 40 billion $ thing. Is that money going to be laundered to use against us?

2
Continue 2 points ago +2 / -0

Can't imagine the answer being anything other than "yes." I'm sure others are more closely following the details, but you've got a combination of standard military graft spending towards defense companies, then a lot of "economic and humanitarian aid" that is always a big means of making money simply disappear, with everyone involved in the corruption taking a cut and kickbacks finding their path one way or another. Some of the profits from this are of course often turned around to try to buy out politicians (well, continue to pay them I guess) and keep the cycle of graft going into the future.

And we know there are a ton of corrupt political connections to ukraine already between burisma and other high level politicians having relatives employed at the ukrainian energy companies, then you've got the weird stuff involving the export of US chemical and biological weapons research to facilities there. So probably a whole lot of stuff that we've just scratched the surface of there, not to mention the revolution in 2014 which overthrew the government and most likely had western backers/interference, so the whole "government" in all likelihood is just one pile of western-connected corruption.

So yeah, I'm sure there are some others around here who could list a lot more specifics in detail but it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that there's a huge amount of grift and money laundering going into this.

2
TheScream 2 points ago +2 / -0

I have a really really bad feeling about this large amount of money.

Isn't the gdp for Ukraine like 6B?

We already gave them 13 B two weeks ago. And then like 800,000,000 a day for days and days.

WTF is this huge "fund" for?

edit: Ukraine gdp is 150 B. Was thinking it was 60B. Not 6 B.

3
Continue 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think most likely it's just more of the same as usual and a huge opportunity for the government to take all that money and make it disappear. The average person can't process how big a number like 1 billion dollars or 1 trillion dollars is, so they just ask themselves "is it a worthwhile cause?" So they can funnel away these 10s of billions of dollars without the average person caring. It goes to a variety of places from overpriced military contracts to embezzlement on every side, and I haven't looked into the details of the bill but sometimes they stick some crazy random "pork" in these things that barely has anything to do with the stated purpose.

Supposedly Ukraine's GDP is about $150 billion per year, and when you consider multiplier effects as money is spent and respent, yes 60 (edit: 60 billion not 20, so yeah that's huge) billion is an absolute ton of money. But remember that most of this money probably isn't sticking around in ukraine's economy, it's being funneled to various places.

But with that said, these are not normal times. I can't say it's impossible that there's some more specific nefarious use for the money, or that it couldn't be connected to some weird weapons research, but I would still think it's most likely being used additional money and fuel for the already existing corruption that's going on rather than something new. That existing corruption of course though, we have already seen that at the highest level there are people dead set on trying to take control of everything at virtually any cost, so that probably isn't and shouldn't be much reassurance. Regardless of the situation in Ukraine and our government's relation to it, we most likely have some crazy times ahead of us.

I support the PURPOSE of a wall. But coast-to-coast 20 foot wall is absurd. A wall has virtues in some areas- but tech solutions are the way forward in others. I support a woman's right to chose. Not the government's right to choose for her. I don't think anyone is "pro-abortion". It is a gut-wrenching decision to make. But it is not the government's decision. Period.

You just keep being a good boy and thinking what you're told.

6
16Sherman 6 points ago +6 / -0

What moron would suggest just a wall? The wall prevents crimes of opportunity, like how a bike lock will keep an honest person honest. Obviously, the bike lock can be overcome, but it will take much more serious determination, and for those instances we have surveillance. A 20-foot wall would keep out the vast majority of those who hopped over the hedgerows last year.

-1
SwitchbladeDrone -1 points ago +3 / -4

A wall doesn't work everywhere. All of you simpletons chant "build the wall" like once it's built the problem is over. It's not! Far more people are coming to the border and applying for asylum than trying to climb over the wall. The R's ran on immigration and had the House, Senate and WH for two years and never even proposed an immigration reform bill. Why? I believe that the R's like having this as wedge issue and have no intention of ever actually trying to do something that makes the border more secure.

10
Pissed_American 10 points ago +10 / -0

We've been having to explain this every single time the formula issue is memed. Don't be ignorant. There's many issues which make breastfeeding impossible for some mothers unfortunately. you can look it up if you don't believe me. And no matter what you think about the benefits of either why don't you think about how this is an issue that makes democrats look horrible. Alot of people on both sides have children. And alot of A political normies who are going to have to wake up real fast especially when they can't find a way to nourish their baby.

10
Americansupremacist0 10 points ago +10 / -0

Doctors are clueless as well regarding breastfeeding. Two of my wife’s friends were told to stop and switch to formula because the baby wasn’t getting enough from breastfeeding judging by the weight gain. And it was early on, well before 6 months where it’s hard to imagine they can’t persevere and get better. So if the infant isn’t feeding enough from the breast maybe pump and bottle feed, I also am curious if you can breastfeed and supplement with formula. But doctors know flowcharts and that’s it. They’re not as smart as they’re made out to be when you’re a kid. So I think many factors come into play, some in womens control and others out of it.

4
2ScoopsMAGA 4 points ago +4 / -0

Cases I've heard of just by being on this planet and have ears:

  1. Multiple births - moms couldn't keep up with twins and triplets.

  2. Mom's particular nipples were just difficult for baby to use (and painful for mom) - baby couldn't feed well enough to satisfy hunger.

  3. Mom's production was low or unpredictable, baby had issues switching back and forth between formula and milk.

  4. Mom was ill at time (before Covid) of childbirth, dried up before recovered enough to nurse.

  5. None of your business.

It's not your call who breastfeeds precisely because you are ignorant. Now, get on to being pissed that parents in America are sweating feeding their babies, and it's exactly what globalists want.

4
IlhanOmarsFagBrother 4 points ago +4 / -0

Fucking for real. My sister is a based Catholic and simply can't produce the milk required. And her husband is running around to five or six different places trying to find goddamn formula for their preemie.

You clearly don't understand just how much starvation still happens around the world.

0
Resist_and_Bite 0 points ago +1 / -1

With the huge increases in world population growth, apparently not much starvation is happening outside of African war zones.

1
JeremiahKassin 1 point ago +1 / -0

And in China. And parts of South America. And some parts of Asia. And now, babies, here in the US. But, sure, yeah. Go with that.

1
Resist_and_Bite 1 point ago +1 / -0

There are no starving babies in the US. You can even make baby formula at home.

We have the fattest homeless on the planet. That's how much food is in America.

Actual starvation is very rare in the modern world, mostly caused by war destroying access to crops. Are there hungry and malnurished people in extremely poor areas? Sure, but that's not starving to death. That requires people to be unable to find anything edible.

2
Friend_of_John_Galt 2 points ago +2 / -0

You know what else happened before formula and other modern options?

Dead babies.

People also trend taller, have better teeth, and live past 35 on the regular now, but sure take your woman into the woods and see how that goes in an emergency.

1
Resist_and_Bite 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's a complete myth that people didn't live past 35 in the ancient past. It's based on bad math of AVERAGE life expectancy that used high infant mortality numbers to bring down the average to 35. Surprisingly, those people in ancient times who lived past infancy would easily live into their 60s and 70s.

Also, dead babies is how the world was kept from being overpopulated.

1
Friend_of_John_Galt 1 point ago +1 / -0

Because it’s a small-minded deflection from the bigger issue at best. At worst, it’s running defense for Bidenflation.

brokentoenail 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'm surprised it's only 40 billion, I'm sure there's more going there and being siphoned off somehow. Guessing weapons.

This will not help the people of Ukraine whatsoever. It's ethnic Russians being bombed and used as meat shields by Ukraine, why would they use that money to make things better for them?

Because this is just more democrat money laundering

3
idrago01 3 points ago +3 / -0

so isn't congress supposed to vote based on their constituents interest? okay

3
ukrdude10 3 points ago +3 / -0

Fuck Ukraine, they're war criminals who brutally torture POW's and kill civilians. Let them get annihilated by Russia, I don't give a fuck anymore. Stop stealing my money.

We the people have done little to discourage the stealing, treason and child abuse. We haven't even done a million man march to arrest these criminals in Washington. So why should they worry about us, they know we will never fight back, few protest. President Putin even tried to warn us. It is up to us and Trump can not save us, military unwilling, we are unwilling. It does not take a war, but it does take organization and courage. Time is almost up.

Indivisual_1 2 points ago +2 / -0

I understand your frustration. It is the same one many share, but I have come to this conclusion. Most good-hearted well-meaning American citizens have busy lives already just trying to secure jobs/careers for themselves and their families and trying to balance their lives in an already hectic world. You can debate and pontificate all day long on modern society now and how it has come to this over time.

Also, we kind of did a million man March. It was on January 6th, 2021. You see what the enemy did. They deceived, manipulated, murdered and violently surprised dissidents. They sent a message and, frankly, it worked for a while.

That said, the propaganda and coercion wouldn’t be necessary if they knew they were winning.

Boiling frogs was the plan, but many have jumped out of the pot, largely thanks to President Trump and 4 years, which they never intended to happen.

Thanks to that, a good number of people have gotten involved. All hope is not lost, we still have people fighting on the front lines, nationally, regionally, locally and even in their own homes with how they raise their own families.

Lastly, remember that it took a long time for the American colonists to accept they had to go to war with England too. Hell, half the colonies were already at war, while the other half still didn’t want to go to war. So, it takes a lot more than what we’ve seen yet to motivate people enough to leave their families and lives to possibly die a horrific death in a war, not even knowing if it would be successful. It may have to get real uncomfortable again for that sort of thing, but even then all hope is never lost.

use breast milk from the mothers

why are so many mothers with perfectly good milk buying crappy baby formula?

3
TheBestDuck 3 points ago +3 / -0

They want the father to feed the baby in the night and work in the day. Strangely, breastfeeding is a progressive and feminist thing where I live.

1
Helmerj 1 point ago +1 / -0

Than pump your fucking tits, sugar tits. Baby formula is garbage.

1
unicornpoop 1 point ago +2 / -1

Because breast feeding is hard work and women don't know enough about health and nutrition to understand the value for the baby. It's like a part time job, with scheduling the day around feeding, not to mention getting up in the middle of the night and watching your diet.

If a woman works, and most do, then they have to pump at work which is weird. People in general are so ignorant of health that they just believe anything the tv says. And the tv says consume product.

They think if they keep giving and producing milk they will sag.

$40 billion to Ukraine Jack…..it’s our golden parachute plan for when we burn the country and salt the ground. We’ll be in Switzerland.

1
16Sherman 1 point ago +1 / -0

Pouring tens of billions into an unwinnable war, then again, I don't think those in power see it as losing because they're simply not on our "side." It's great to see the press not once ask where the demand for diplomacy, or anything resembling diplomatic efforts before our tax dollars are shrink wrapped and sent over on pallets. Last I heard, policymakers in the UK are complaining about the US forcing all players in this to resist any sort of talks, the objective, per Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, is to weaken Russia.

They're all Benedict Arnolds, and they know their time is NOW, before the midterms, so obviously they will be accelerating every facet of society.

Hush money to hide their Burisma Biden scandal, huh?

And we're paying for it, meanwhile he's ruining the economy and paying for illegals to come here. What a sick false religion.
