Doctors are so pretentious

'I'm an MD'

'As a doctor I think'

Go fuck yourself 'doctor'

ubermk3 26 points ago +29 / -3

Didn't used to be like that before WAHMXN doctors kicked in the door with their corn bunion riddled feet of selfish ambition.

VoidWanderer 21 points ago +22 / -1

I can count on one hand the number of male doctors that had to inject it into every possible conversation, and he did it because it was a running joke not because he was lording over others. I can't count how many women, especially that are only "doctors" in the fact that they went for doctorate using other people's money, that inject it everywhere and can't stand you not referring to them as "Dr.". It's constant with them.

It's almost like they aren't mentally capable of handling things like that.

My biggest accomplishment was checking some boxes two decades ago.

And you’d BETTER address me accordingly.

The only people I’ve ever known who insisted on being called Doctor with a PhD, were actually men. It was either them insisting on it, or the people who worked under them.

(And I worked at a scientific experiment station- where everyone was a PhD or working to become one.)

But I also take that to a while nother level, as well.

Opticians and chiropractors shouldn’t have that title, either. Just medical doctors, dentists, and veterinarians. They are the ones who sacrificed their entire youth, and are obviously more intelligent, dedicated, and consistent than the rest of the human population. They deserve the title.

And veterinarians are a little iffy- if I didn’t know many, I probably wouldn’t mention them, but I happen to know the level of schooling they went through, like I do physicians- and you can’t be dumb and a vet. Or a medical doctor.

Basic 4-year engineers are more deserving of the title of “doctor” than 90% of PhDs, because they are doing something other people are simply not capable of doing.

A lawyer just has to have a social and bullshit gene.

Getting a PhD requires dedication and a support system that either funds you, or you busted your ass to fund yourself. Since almost no one busts their ass to do anything anymore, (bc there’s a student loan for that, or your job covers it), and add on to that the stupid dissertations people get approved for these days- it’s long been a running joke.

Long before “how do you know someone is a vegan…they’ll tell you”, well, it’s the same thing with PhD’s- the good ones never meant it to denote social standing- it was just their natural progressive of life. That was co-opted around the late 80’s, early 90’s…with the government backing student loans.

The only time I reference my PhD is in publications, or here for cheap internet points when it pertains to the conversation at hand.

Most medical doctors I've known couldn't tell me jack about statistics, name more than a couple of papers in their field, or tell me the last time they read an actual journal. Half of them, their specialty was almost purely empirical. I have respect for some, others are basically a walking Merck Manual and are basically a Prescription Guild.

Forbidden_outcast 2 points ago +2 / -0

Agree. It’s been an eye-opening experience, in almost a matrix type of way.

Put me back to sleep.

Moonlight 1 point ago +1 / -0

In med school, you do not necessarily need to learn how science is defined and how it came to be. You just do "hard science" stuff and assume you know about science which is not true science. The most "vaccine hestiant" group of people are those with a PhD while the medical sector panders to the vaccine. Good luck explaining that with your logic.

1
Forbidden_outcast 1 point ago +1 / -0

Have you ever considered that there is a statistic out there that panders to every single ego……. or no?

You’re welcome, Doctor

I went to school with people who become doctors. A lot of them failed to understand a simple concept like gravity and that when you open a beer when shotgunning, you need to make sure the hole its pointed in the air and not to the ground.

Very smart people. Much intelligence.

Doctor? It’s amazing how someone can be so smart and so absolutely fucking shitfaced retarded at the same time.

14
JMaN 14 points ago +14 / -0

Gee... I wonder why average age of death has been decreasing in recent years?

Also, I wonder why the average age of Covid deaths are right around the average age of death?

Maybe if I stopped asking such stupid questions I could be a medical doctor and I could have a blue-check Twitter account and let everyone know that I'm a medical doctor on the internet!

7
fac1 7 points ago +7 / -0

A person can be extremely technically competent at a subject, while being completely retarded and illogical on subjects they're not experts on.

I know many people like that.

5
The_RedWolf 5 points ago +5 / -0

She was educated by a system that refuses to admit it's ever wrong and you should trust the institutions. Basically a lot of modern education systems make you embrace Authority Bias as a non-fallacy

She's basically brainwashed because she never felt the need to challenge or see beyond the institution like you're supposed to as a person of science (or medicine in this case)

27
Zxc26 27 points ago +27 / -0

I still haven't done single test yet, I guess someone has to keep covid scam alive.

13
brotatofarmer 13 points ago +13 / -0

9
GoGoGadgetGringo 9 points ago +9 / -0

Crazy how that works. Only people that I know that have had it were vaccinated and maskers.

2
JayKay1776 2 points ago +2 / -0

Or it wasa plan look up fauci paper on 1918 spanish flu and look at all the fact checks.

5
Blazeron 5 points ago +5 / -0

How do you know you never got sick if you aren't testing yourself 20 times per day?

12
Psalm_109_8-13 12 points ago +12 / -0

If Dara Kass is your MD, she's trying to kill you.

11
daty_dato 11 points ago +11 / -0

How many times does she think she can get it? Why isn't she dead yet?

11
Mintap 11 points ago +11 / -0

I'm testing at a rate of 0 times per 10,000 days

7
YouTubeSucksDicks 7 points ago +7 / -0

I'm testing less often than that. What are you? Some kind of hypochondriac?

4
heeeeeemeyer 4 points ago +4 / -0

I'm testing even less than the two of you!

7
captain-shitpost 7 points ago +7 / -0

how often?

literally only when i'm required to for travel.

when i kept NOT getting sick and girls i was dating did get sick, out of curiosity, i got tested for antibodies, and boom, i had already had covid before the shit even blew up in april.

1
spelunking_librator 1 point ago +1 / -0

You're a strong pureblood specimen. Raise your price.

1
ObamasLooseButthole 1 point ago +1 / -0

Travel was the only time I did and that's only because I was basically forced to do it just to visit my parents. Each time I was clear though so it didn't turn into even more of an annoyance.

6
GnuYow 6 points ago +6 / -0

A disease so dangerous you have to test yourself several times a week to figure out whether you have it or not.

6
T_DforTrump2020 6 points ago +6 / -0

NEVER GOT SICK. NEVER TESTED. NEVER JABBED. Fuck all of these so called Drs in the face!

5
MythArcana 5 points ago +6 / -1

That's a bot. Every time I see a blue check, I call bot. Bot, bot, bot. China bot from a China bot farm. Bot, bot, bot.

4
heeeeeemeyer 4 points ago +4 / -0

Not a bad assumption in general, but this crazy bitch is the real deal:

Dr. Kass is a graduate of SUNY Downstate College of Medicine and the Kings County Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency. She began her career in resident education at Staten Island University Hospital, followed by medical student education at New York University School of Medicine, and most recently was an Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Columbia University School of Medicine. A champion for gender equity and the advancement of women in medicine, Dr. Kass’s academic work has focused on creating a more equitable workplace for women in medicine. Most recently, she has shifted focus to policy and public communication in regards to the COVID pandemic. She has focused her communication on the impact of COVID on communities and families, empowering Americans to make informed decisions for themselves and their families.

3
MythArcana 3 points ago +3 / -0

Okay, she's not a bot, but she's a quack. Same thing, really. One has a pulse, the other not so much.

4
The_RedWolf 4 points ago +4 / -0

Huh. I just realized I've never had a Covid test. Wasn't by any kind of deliberate personal boycott, just never was required to take one for anything and I never got sick until omicron and I mistook it for cedar fever not even realizing what it was until after the fact.

I don't see the damn point of taking a test unless you need to for something (like say a job or travel visas) or are actually sick and just want to know.

I guess if you're going into a area with a high risk population like say a nursing home or visiting an immunocompromised family member and you're trying to protect them that would make sense, but not just because it's a Tuesday

1
MillstonesForAll 1 point ago +1 / -0

I’ve never had one either. And I don’t ever plan on it.

4
ExileOnRedditStreet 4 points ago +4 / -0

How often are you wasting resources that could be put to better use?

1
spelunking_librator 1 point ago +1 / -0

She's doing it each time she's rushed to a hospital with stroke symptoms. But muh unvaccinated taking up hospital beds.

Rapid testing 3 times a week? I remember having to do that for work. Thank God I no longer have to.

2
Crappydatum 2 points ago +2 / -0

Someone on Twatter needs to out her for wasting rapid tests that should be going to those in need

2
Hunter_loves_2_feet 2 points ago +2 / -0

I bet she either doesn’t actually test that often or does because she wants to say the line “ive tested positive and I’m working from home. So grateful I am quadruple vaxxed. It could’ve been so much worse”

2
ShitOfPeace 2 points ago +2 / -0

I haven't been tested a single time, and I never plan to.

2
Rageof4wa 2 points ago +2 / -0

Or, something a bot would say for $1000.

2
RogueLeaderX 2 points ago +2 / -0

The hell? This is STILL a thing?

If they cured COVID tomorrow, these people would still demand more mandates, lockdowns and boosters.

2
JabbersInc 2 points ago +2 / -0

Safe and effective. My parents fell for it. My mom is pushing out bloody clot babies now and falling unconscious from blood loss. Couldn't possibly be the safe and effective jabs, could it? My dad's mental health has rapidly deteriorated as well. Gradually. Off the cliff break neck speed gradually. Doctors are affected by the brain washing as well. Especially when threatened with career ending alternative.

Looking for a she’s a doctor, otherwise we could all be in real danger.

Whenever I meet a doctor for someone in my family the first question I have is what do they think of coronavirus. If they ring the Fruitloop bell, we get up and walk out the door.

1
Victorkm 1 point ago +1 / -0

I havent tested since right after I got better from Covid so I could go back to work. I sadly have to do another test for a concert I have coming up.

2
WhereForArt 2 points ago +2 / -0

I made them fire me for refusing testing. We have a right to medical privacy. You bent the knee. You could have chosen dignity. I encourage you to do better next time. The rest of us spent 2 years waiting for people like you to say no. This pandemic was only possible because people like you said yes. Sure I lost my job, had to get kicked out of dozens of stores to find a store I could shop at without obeying the TV but I never once surrendered my rights or dignity.

Why did you?

1
TrappedRed_in_blue 1 point ago +1 / -0

You could just say no. I said no to testing and no jabs while pregnant with an emergency early term labor hemorrhage. If I can say no, man up and do it too.

1
HanginChad 1 point ago +1 / -0

Ok so, you test yourself a bunch and you get a positive. How does that change anything?

2
spelunking_librator 2 points ago +2 / -0

Now she can stay at home and wait it out knowing it's covid.

1
Pumpingiron_Patriot1 1 point ago +1 / -0

Remember just a decade back in college we were driving left over beer in red cups. Playing flip cup in cups 10 or more people had drank from. Playing beer pong with cup that had been used by 10s of people.

I wash my hands 3 times in a row whenever I do.

But what that lady does is absolutely batshit insane.

1

Do you test yourself for tuberculosis that often?

1
GrannyPaine 1 point ago +1 / -0

You know, she could have at least pretended she was caring about other people by saying something like "I test 2-3 times per week to better protect my patients!" It's a much nicer Virtue Signal than "I need to go out and party!"
