Trends recycle every 30 years. The 80s were like the 50s. The 90s were like the 60s. Now we're seeing a bastardized version of the 90s. It's all the slight wokeness of the 90s on steroids.

Not to mention OJ's little beheadings, the Oklahoma City bombings, Columbine, Summer Olympics bombing, Waco, Tupac, Versace, Phil Hartman, Kurt Cobain...

I'd argue that we were better at stopping public figures from being whacked in the 90s too -- like not letting presidents drive around in convertibles, etc.

Stina1227 1 point ago +1 / -0

Consider: Cultural wars against common decency: F-word prevalence in public pushed as “Free Speech”. Degrades culture and starts chipping at the social standards of public decency

Grooming: Cosmo pushes anal sex to virginal teen girls as a legitimate means to sexually satisfy the boy while staying a virgin. Weakens heterosexual revulsion to sodomy and makes it a non-issue in accepting homosexuality

Modesty and social cohesion: selfishness and self image/identity promoted at the cost of healthy, social norms (compare to trans-mania of attacking social norms in favor of identity regardless of why social norms exist)

1

Stina1227 1 point ago +1 / -0

No, that WAS the 90s. Mocking virgins, Cosmo and Dear old sex lady pushed sodomy as a valid sex choice on girls, and modesty was eschewed. What is a blow job?

7
PhantomShield72 7 points ago +7 / -0

No, that was the 80's.

The 90's were good too, but the shit we're dealing with now began to rear its ugly head in that decade.

The 90's were like the 60's but with Playstation and the proto stages of wokeness known at the time as "political correctness".

Fun fact - far too many of the retarded senators and congress people that were around in the 90s are still in Washington, both Dem and RINO.

I wish we could go back and stomp that shit before it grew up into full blown woketardism...

Well, of course it had problems. If it had been perfect, it would have continued forever. Pick literally any good era in history and you could say, “yeah but it led to the era after it that wasn’t as good.” Doesn’t change that overall, the era itself was great. Certainly a hell of a lot better on average than any of the eras since.

You judge an artist by their art, and a politician by their politics.

Politicians should not be judged by their singing, as much as a musician judged by their politics.

15
TommyLasordasBallBag 15 points ago +15 / -0

I was a kid in the 90s. Sex was everywhere (maybe not so much porn.. but sex-culture was definitely forced on to us).. the 90s were the product of the "free sex" hippies taking over entertainment when they reached their 40s-50s to try to relive their misspent youth. There was even a Woodstock.

2
Lord_Kristopf 2 points ago +2 / -0

It’s all relative of course. By the time of the 90s, the ‘sexual revolution’ was entirely over (thanks, AIDS), so in that sense, that decade held only a fraction of the promiscuity of earlier decades (especially 60s-70s), if that’s what important to ya. And I say this as a 90s-loving millennial myself.

3
TommyLasordasBallBag 3 points ago +3 / -0

Until us 90s kids were teens in the 00s... watching shows like Road Rules and Real World on MTV. They made MTV a big thing in the 80s because of music. Lol look at the mickey mouse club from the 90s and what happened to them, ugh.

KillAllPedophiles 1 point ago +1 / -0

I was a teenager in the 90s, and you couldn’t watch tv for more than 5 seconds without hearing about condoms. It took about 30 - 40 years for the cultural rot introduced in the 50s and 60s to lead to the normalization of premarital sex and divorce, as was the case in the 90s. From there, it took another 10 - 15 years for the normalization of homosexuality, and about 5 - 10 years after that for the normalization of transgenderism. Given the current trajectory and the law of accelerating returns, I see a normalization of pedophilia no later than 2027.

7
TommyLasordasBallBag 7 points ago +7 / -0

Yep, and the Howard Stern show pushing the FCC as far as he could until a show called "sex and the city" was an okay title for primetime television. Bill Clinton weaponized the FCC to combat Rush Limbaugh, and ignore the actual degeneracy that was happening in the Whitehouse and on TV.

5
RStroud 5 points ago +5 / -0

The "right wing" values/cultural/Christian conservatives never actually censored anything. They made plenty of noise but lost every battle in the culture war they fought. It got them lots of money and votes. The GOP has been playing the same game for decades. They took Trump "teaching them to win" as a threat to their very core.

The seeds planted from the 70s are bearing fruit.

https://www.weforum.org/about/klaus-schwab

Klaus Schwab founded the WEF in 1971. Many of these organizations have gone decades without beginning contested. It literally wasn’t until Trump got elected and technology advanced to a point where the average person could easily share information that something could finally be done about them.

The thing now is to keep learning, waking others up and doing everything in our power to tear these institutions to the fucking ground.

Beer gut acceptance. Finally.

Actually it's more of acceptance of serious alcoholism...... that's not so good.

I need to work on my drinking. Ever since my bro died its been an issue. So difficult not drinking. I don't feel right without it. I feel better with the drink. I don't like myself without it. That's what makes it hard to quit. I feel better when I drink. I like that person better than the sober me. I'm uncomfortable sober. I live for getting home for that drinking. It's not good, it's not healthy, it's not right.... but everyday I drink. Drink until I finally feel......... right. OK. Calm. Relaxed. Not depressed.

8
DarkPepe1776 8 points ago +8 / -0

Been there fren. First step to quitting is realizing it's a problem. Then every day you can start weening yourself off the booze, slowly but surely. Mind over matter type shit, and it sounds like there's a part of you that wants to quit, for your health. Some people can pull off that cold turkey method gracefully but most don't. Sounds like you'll probably need to take the slow route. If you go cold turkey, within the first week you'll encounter problems of all kinds that will make you race home to drink more. My suggestion, start putting limits on how much you drink every day (i.e. if you would normally drink a 12 pack of beer a night, resist the 12th one the first night. Next night, resist another. Wash, rinse, repeat.) I used to drink a lot after my grandfather died (most influentially great man I've ever known.) Then one day I decided I needed to take a beat on the drinking. Started drinking less and less every day and picked up a few hobbies to pass the time and ease my mind. Seems to have worked. Now, I may have 3 beers within an entire week, and that's only if the work week was extremely stressful. I drink a LOT of water and lemonade tea now for the most part. Last doctor visit I had, he said my liver isn't showing signs of inflammation anymore. So that's awesome. Anyway, I hope this advice helps you and one more thing, go buy yourself some all natural milkweed pills (great for calming down your liver,) start drinking healthy stuff, and start trying to go to bed earlier than you normally would. Great sleep is key.

2
ThePastDays 2 points ago +2 / -0

I do need to cut back a lot. When my brother died during the height of covid I was up to a handle every night. I come from a hard drinking family, wife doesnt. Her coming from a mostly non drinking family made some issues. It caused some arguments at first but then she started drinking a lot too. It's an issue. But I gotta cut back but damn it's difficult. I appreciate the input. I make it through the day mostly ok...OK.... but late nights is my hard time. So hard not drinking at night when there's nothing to occupy me. I've never drank so much in all my life, even when I was single... and I drank a lot back then.... now it's a crutch to feel ok. I hate the person I am sober and constantly depressed without. With liquor I'm happy and sociable and fun. Without I'm upset, depressed and nervous. If it's there I'll easily down a bottle and not even feel drunk, just normal.

I quit smoking cigarettes a few years ago after 30 years. Liquor is harder to quit because it's socially acceptable to drink during the day at lunch. Being sauced is the norm. I hate that I've developed this dependency. I wish I'd never started.

It’s all going to burn. Prepare accordingly.

RusherOfDin 5 points ago +5 / -0

Hopefully it'll be too concerned about the harvest and getting my steers fattened up to give a shit about some fucking Calvin Klein billboard in NYC which I assume by then will be an even more of a nightmarishly dystopian shit hole then it is today.

Nope. I couldn’t have predicted now, 5 years ago.

It may get somewhat better if the pendulum’s leftward swing is slowing as some suggest. On the other hand, it appears we’re racing into “Idiocracy” with little to slow the collapse.

That faggot is pregnant alright ...with taco bell burritos and hellacious gas.

Dude, that's a chick. Look at the scars under her chest. She's just on serious doses of testosterone, and doesn't shave.

US Civil war breaks out in mid-March 2025 as President Donald Trump opens up the oil leases in the Gulf of Mexico and Alaska. We see the removal of the West Coast and East Coast counties into the new CSA.

2025: Young adult male, pregnant, with the father hugging from behind.

2028: Young boy, pregnant, with the father (now dickless)

2030: A man giving birth through his penis, on a billboard.

2035: Child pornography, printed 75 feet tall

Yes, this, necrophilia, pedophilia, and even cannibalism are all on the list for progressives. Also ecosexuals and furries will be normalized.

The Subjugated Nations of Earth implement a ban on non-RFID transactions, punishable by death to tackle 'extremism'. RFID tracks your every word and connects to your social media accounts. The wrong word will freeze your bank account, trigger alarms, and flag you as a threat for the UltraVax troopers to round up. Few if any of us are alive to see anything else.

Prediction of the next billboard? Sure. The billboard's half gone, shot full of holes with smoldering parts, and rubble surrounding it. A starving dog is below it worrying at something protruding from under the rubble.
