Okay this overly long post makes a few good points but also there is a bunch of bull shit in it as well. Especially the part about "traditional bedrocks" LOL. Stable economy? It was more stable under Trump, but prices of living and the livable wage idea is dead or dying. "Professional judiciary and a credible criminal justice system" that's got to be satire, that's actually funny to read from someone who is not meaning it as a joke. Clarence Thomas is the only SCOTUS I have faith in, even still, unelected bureaucrats placed in lifetime positions so long as they remain on "good behavior" is bull shit. The idea that 9 unelected judges can dictate the laws of an entire country is laughable. Our justice system is incredibly flawed and is far more concerned in keeping the industrial prison systems pumping cheap labor and products out. China has 10x the US population, yet we incarcerate more in the US. This idea that a revolution is somehow going to form in a grass root style movement and then spread to the mass populous kind of way is not going to happen, perhaps a digital-informational awakening where people actually see what our government is- An imperialistic hegemony controlled by big pharma, the military industrial complex and the deep state.

Also vaguely parrots this idea that Putin is deranged and on the verge of mental insanity, that he decided randomly one day to invade Ukraine and is not politically aligned with his people or party. The Russian people support him now more than they did prior to the invasion. The ruble is doing better then it was too. He has been the leader of Russia since 99', he knew this was coming decades ago and that demented pant-shitter Biden was his and Xi Jinping's perfect opportunity to act out their military geo-political goals. Russia differs than China however, as they will inevitably liberate the Eastern Territories of Ukraine- The Donbas which is primarily made up of Luhansk and Donetsk. The people there are predominately Etho-Russian and Russian speaking, something legacy media and 99% of coverage of that conflict is not telling you. Also that we backed a coup in 2014 in Ukraine forcing regime change. Surprise, surprise

Victor Davis Hanson? One name... first, middle and last. He's a classicist and military historian who taught at Stanford for years. I know that there are plenty of detractors in this thread, and they cause me amusement. I have found VDH to be quite prescient. He is a supporter of Donald Trump and wrote a book in praise of his candidacy. He has a very good book out now titled; "The Dying Citizen". And I read his book "The World Wars" last year and enjoyed it immensely.

He along with Scott Atlas and Niall Ferguson take incessant heat at Stanford from the Lefty professors, students and beauracracy. All of whom are also Members of the Hoover Institution.

He's also quite grounded, growing up on a working farm started by his great grandfather (pecans among other things) where he still lives. He knows about manual labor and how to fix things.

Here's his latest podcast: China, Baby Food, and Distractions May 17, 2022

Our problem is that at some point, the two parties merged. Most likely this was an outgrowth of the inbred culture that produces our politicians. They all go to the same schools, run in the same social circles, join the same clubs, buy homes in the same neighborhoods. It's rare to find a Republican that actually represents his constituents. And when you do, the elites will work to destroy him, or limit his/her access to power. We are a corrupted republic. I don't know how we recover without violence.

1

Non enforcement of immigration law is good for big corporations, who own congress. America being a western country settled and founded by english speaking white westerners, would be destroyed by unlimited immigration, because the majority founding demographic will be replaced by 3rd worlders and non westerners. In order to achieve this you must pre emptively handicap white people and demonize them at every turn, so they never manage to resist their replacement. This is the purpose of "white privilege" crt, etc.. its to force white people to accept their replacement. This is the fundamental goal and the basis for every single thing done by democrats. Always-on internet technology is an exponentially proliferating thing. Limiting its reach through pesky things like immigration laws and national sovreignty is a hinderence to expansion of the globalist markets. The reason leftists are getting away with it is because the ideology is explicitly targetting white people, and they import 1 million new non westerners every year. So inevitably, they will win through raw numbers, and all the brown people they have been bringing here are just benefiting from it. And white people have no ethnic racial or cultural cohesion or connection. There is literally no way to stop it without a war. A real war. But people are clueless and have made long term investments in family, career, etc.. and they never faced an existential crisis before and they are just hoping to make it to the end of their life without hassle. The 20% of us who are aware of what's happening and prepared to resist it are just too few in number and resources. Your religious belief will not save you. You need to think practically about your own future because the country you knew as the USA is over. For good.

I don't care about Britian, France, Italy, Germany, Ukraine, etc. Fuck their governments in the ear with the business end of a tank cannon.

I agree. I like Hanson but it became clear to me some time ago that he is out of touch and in this case out of his depth and out of his area of specialty. For better analysis Mearsheimer and Stephen F Cohen (RIP) need be consulted via YT.

Edit: And, "war losing adversary"? Really, Victor? I suggest you subscribe to thedreizinreport.com and get yourself a better understanding of the battle strategy of the Russians.

1
HoosierHawk 1 point ago +1 / -0

Everyone thought the Russians would win with a 1st round knockout. We're in the 10th round, they are bleeding, eyes swollen and leg weary. Very likely this is going to go the distance, and end in a split decision.

Finland and Sweden are no longer intimidated by the mighty Russians anymore and will join NATO despite Russian threats. There are stories emerging that we're going to provide Ukraine with Harpoons which will allow them to destroy the Russians Black sea fleet. The Black sea is their only warm water port.

They may yet win the battle against Ukraine, but they have lost the war to remain a major power Europe.

1
labiator 1 point ago +1 / -0

LMAO - they are fighting a real war against a proxy NATO and handing it to them at 500 enemy dead a day vs light casualties. The US only fought shepherds and goat fuckers. Ukraine will soon be over and Russia will consolidate its gains that are real and tangible. Their enlarged lands will be filled with Russophile populations, something the US could never achieve in its futile wars of aggression that turned into grinding abject humiliating defeats. Finland and Sweden (LOL)? Fail to remain a major power in Europe? What koolade are you drinking boy? The MSM bullshit narrative no doubt. There is no European power, individual or collective, that matches Russian prowess.

Putin was a KGB operative and is definitely imperialist and has Communist sympathies. He is also deranged and reportedly very ill. I dont care about Ukraine and dont want our country involved. I think they are trying to provoke Putin into attacking us so they can then say that a war with Russia is inevitable and force us to be involved. Then they will try to draft and force vax on everyone and arrest those who dont comply Im aware our government is provoking and attempting to instigate some bullshit here. Nwvertheless, Putin is a psychopath and a criminal. Dont throw your support to crazy people just because our government is evil. I hate them both.

For sure some of it is accurate. On the flip side, Putin is far from unhinged. He's doing a great job for Russia. The ruble is at something like 65 to a dollar. While not so good for the US, for Russia it's the direction they want it to head in.

As long as we have a government that can insert itself into power, whether they were voted in or not, we're going to continue the downward slide.

1

He's very well read and he's older than you but that doesn't make him smarter. He's made some pretty dumb comments here and he should be ashamed of himself for not having done more research on the topic. He's an expert in ancient history and Athenian battles etc but this does not mean he's an expert in modern warfare and Russian battle strategies and tactics.

2

I agree, but I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt here. It's similar to if I disagreed with Thomas Sowell.

I went to a dinner with VDH in 2002.

Extremely interesting to hear him discuss Athens, Plutarch, Thucydides - the classics - the thing to which he devoted his life.

When it turned to politics, he was basically like every other nor-cal boomer.

Does he have faith in constitutional government? I don't, really. Now as its written or practiced now. And do I have faith in the judiciary?

Of course not. 80 years on and the NFA is still in place. If you're rich enough, the system spares you.

1
Faulkner 1 point ago +1 / -0

Our Constitution has worked every time it hasn't been ignored or out-and-out assaulted.

1
GodHatesBiden 1 point ago +1 / -0

I mean do you want to return to a pre-Jacksonian model? I could vote in such model but most white people in most red states would not.

I do believe its suggestions more eternal than say a contemporary democrat that wants it re-written, but it was designed by men who wanted it, in part, skipping all the bill of rights, to 1) to develop law that spared them having to pay the militias they promised to pay and prevent said militiamen from suing them (this is where our present property regime originates) and 2) apply all of the prementioned concepts to society organized around yeoman farmers.

They intended this document to be durable but open to reconsideration in the future.

King George annoyed them, I think a global corporation deemed both a person and not a person whenever its advantageous would remind them of the "king" as separate from "the crown" as the abstracted authority of office.

To put another way I think we live in an era of Neo-Fuedalism and I do not see how the Constitution at present can remedy that, particularly since it allowed it to happen in the first place with no Constitutional push back. The constitution fully allowed for the expansion of the administrative state as component to the executive, avenue for a president to continue a foreign war for 20 years. Literally all this garbage we're dealing with is constitutional and particularly so in the view of dudes like Clarence Thomas.

It was indeed hilarious how he started off his pontification, with the climax that ruling elites would rather be politically correct losers than to be seen as incorrect, by spewing the politically correct delusions on Russia and Ukraine. I'm convinced that nothing else matters. The fact that so many people have bought into Russophobia and are convinced Russia is losing makes clear that 2/3 of Americans have lost the ability to reason and think critically anymore. As if it wasn't clear enough with their dedication to ignoring investigations into November 2020 and accepting this fraudulent administration that 90% of the nation didn't ask for.

2
Drooperdoo 2 points ago +5 / -3

Methinks you don't know what a "dictator" is. FDR had four terms. Was HE a dictator?

It was as a result of FDR that the Republicans passed a law that Presidents could only have two terms. This petty partisanship has nothing to do with other countries. If Russians legitimately voted Putin in--and they did--he is not a dictator. He is the people's choice. Russia actually HAS representative government. The U.S. lost ITS.

America is LITERALLY being run by a dictatorship--and I don't mean Biden. We have an unelected group of foreign billionaires with citizenship to another country, who run America . . . without the will or consent of the people. Even THEY know they have no legitimacy, which is why they keep locking down Washington D.C. and consolidating the occupation of what was once the United States of America.

The only people who DON'T know they're illegitimate are the Boomers with their Israeli flags, chanting "Israel is our greatest ally". People precisely like Victor David Hanson. We lost our sovereignty because of assholes like him. He guaranteed that his grandchildren would be slaves on the continent their forefathers conquered because he didn't want to be "racist". Future generations, injected with trackable graphene oxide and enfeebled by their chemical restraints, will spit on his grave and wish that he rot in hell.

(From the fiery pit will arise the echo of "Yes, you're all slaves now to a foreign people, but at least I wasn't racist.")

THE WRATH OF THE AWAKENED SAXON by Rudyard Kipling

It was not part of their blood, It came to them very late, With long arrears to make good, When the Saxon began to hate.

They were not easily moved, They were icy -- willing to wait Till every count should be proved, Ere the Saxon began to hate.

Their voices were even and low. Their eyes were level and straight. There was neither sign nor show When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not preached to the crowd. It was not taught by the state. No man spoke it aloud When the Saxon began to hate.

It was not suddently bred. It will not swiftly abate. Through the chilled years ahead, When Time shall count from the date That the Saxon began to hate.

1
Rocks_vs_Uzis 1 point ago +1 / -0

No, my entire understanding is based on years of analysis. Parallel society/economy is something I've been writing about in detail for YEARS. The states are openly talking about asserting themselves with regards to energy now. They need access to oil and gas to salvage their respective economies and the first rift in the union will come from the states doing oil/gas drilling in contravention to federal mandate, like I predicted last year. When you start hearing talk about regional currencies pegged to commodities, interstate trade pacts and regional infrastructure development decoupled from the federal government then that's a strong indication of the collapse. It already happened with gun laws and marijuana, once it happens with energy and currency the USA as we know it is finished.

*Bezmenov singled out the Soviet agents of destabilization who worked to reduce criminal sentencing etc. The Soros DAs (or are they AGs?) fit his description.

Reduction of policing and punishment in America was intended (from the KGB's perspective) to increase crime. The increased crime was intended to cause economic harm, despair and resentment against the failed system that was supposed to protect them from criminals, specifically in the economically vulnerable areas (where Blantifa have staged many looting campaigns).

This all stems from the WEF agenda and goals for 2030. Biden is their puppet just like Treasonous Trudeau.

11
Jtenten 11 points ago +11 / -0

You are both right. These catastrophes are as self-induced as any evil is. Evil is always at the doorstep (outside). It nips at our heels, begging us to compromise. It aims to drive us away from the righteousness of God and the brotherhood of our nation.

Enough of us were deceived or lazy or greedy, OR (many of us here, myself included) we didn’t know how to fight against it. That’s all it takes - stop fleeing evil.

This principle works on an individual level, Family level, church, community, or country. To retake ground from Satan is much harder than to defend it. We need to pray for our nation and teach other men how to pray.

Putin is not unhinged or impaired, he's rightfully reacting to the US and NATO violating their agreement not to encroach on Russia.

Came here to say that. Not being a fanboy because ultimately, we really don't know what his ultimate objectives are, but I don't think he's unhinged or crazy. He's an aggressive world leader who's protecting his nation's interests.

My guess is that his long term aim is to drive America out of Europe and quite frankly at this point that may not be the worst thing.

The increase in energy prices in Europe isn't survivable. Here in the UK most people I know have seen their energy bills go from £80/month for dual fuel to around £280 currently with prices in excess of £400 likely by next April. At least 10 million households cannot afford that.

Even the supermarket diesel is somewhere around £1.78/litre at the moment - if you want decent fuel from Shell or a garage its nearly £1.90. I went from roughly £39 a tank to £52 a tank of fuel.

On the continent this has been even worse - we have some diversity in our gas supply here bringing it in via pipeline from Norway, the North Sea and some LNG. Most of Europe is almost entirely dependent on Russia for oil and gas. Just 15% of Europes outright diesel fuel came from Russia and half of all the cars on our roads are diesel powered in addition to goods vehicles.

The European financial system is also teetering on the edge of an abyss. Before COVID it had been propped up first by a series of sovereign bailouts and then by massive bond purchases to capitalise the banks by the ECB. The endless crisis in Greece distracted the markets from the fact Italy is pretty much done for and its the continents 3rd economy after France and Germany. COVID was a big distraction and was an excuse to pump a lot more money into the system but this is coming to an end. Europe is not as wealthy as North America and imports most of its energy. We can't cope with it in the UK where the average wage is about £1600/month then what are countries in the east where the average wage is £500/month going to do?

To an extent the Ukraine crisis is designed by the US in order to permanently destroy the European economies and to asset strip them and make them even more dependent than they already are on the US for energy and goods because Europe is pretty much the only place weak enough to exploit left. Even the Saudis have turned their backs on the US in recent months. The ECB and EU also see it as an excuse for "euro bonds" where Germany and France finance a money printing bonanza to prop up the EU banking system and fund a flurry of new defence spending re-tooling moribund industry in Europe like parts of the German car industry to make weapons supposedly to defend Europe from Putin - likely as a condition Lockheed and Raytheon will get 30 or 40% of that cash.

Empires always fall, at the end of the day the US is an ocean away and Russia is next door and supplies most of Europes energy. Since the cold war Europe has built up various trade links with the far east overland through Russia. I work in the car industry and it wasn't uncommon for us to have eastern European drivers turn up with parts where they had driven overland to the UK from China through Russia and Europe just as much as it is to get parts by container sent via ship. Shipping is cheaper but it takes around 40-60 days via ship where as overland it can be done in 2 weeks.

Ultimately Russia has serious demographic issues and it might well not be the worst plan to relocate slavic populations from more densely populated eastern Europe into Russia but Russia will not have the ability to project power deep into Europe much longer. Europe without America would probably be able to strike a balance with its neighbour in the east supplying high technology goods to the east in exchange for energy. Likewise I think Turkey has designs on a new neo-ottoman caliphate in the middle east which will ease the power vacuum left by America.

As an Englishman Russia doesn't bother me. Britain is a maritime trading nation, Russia is a Eurasian land power. We have no conflicting interests as we will likely straddle all sides of any power dynamic as we did in the 19th century. Russia has never been and will never be a viable naval power and Britain needs only a Navy not a large land army like Russia has to maintain. The Scandinavians are relatively secure, the Russians learned their lesson from the Winter war of 1939.

Just as when Rome died the death of the American empire will probably leave many of its former subjects better off. I think international capital places more value on Eurasia where most of the worlds population is more than North America and the Atlantic as it used too.

Cyer6 3 points ago +3 / -0

My guess is that his long term aim is to drive America out of Europe and quite frankly at this point that may not be the worst thing.

And why shouldn't he? Our government has meddled and dirtied its hands in so many societies around the world. Maybe some of it has been to spread western ideas of democracy around the world but I think it really boils down to individual greed and from that is corruption.

2
operation_eland 2 points ago +2 / -0

Democracy really is a disastrous system in the long run. It reduces everything to lowest common denominator and reduces the time horizon of the rulers to the next election. It consumes valuable resources in pandering to often the least productive. Even Anglo-Saxons haven't been able to make it work either in England or in America and if Germanics can't make it work who could?

Spreading democracy is really probably one of the most idiotic things ever done. At the end of the day Western civilisation is but one of many current civilisations on earth each one with different founding stock, different selection pressures and different values and temperament. Forcing democracy on Iraq for example - a completely fake country drawn on a map by two European diplomats carved out of the ruins of the Ottoman empire. Many people in the west but in America especially probably still cannot understand why it ended in total failure. The general historical trend for what I would rather call Mesopotamia was being dominated by other empires such as the Ottomans. The headwaters of its two main rivers are actually in modern day Turkey. Thus it would seem natural that whoever controls "Asia minor" what we call Turkey should dominate that region. Just like "Egypt" today ostensibly has a bastardised "elected" government even though prior to Britain granting Egypt its independence in 1952 Egypt has not ruled itself internally since before the birth of Christ.

America has enforced a series of these unnatural client regimes on a lot of these individual nations since the end of the second world war but I see this as increasingly not viable and many of them will again come to be dominated by a series of regional hegemons again.

Turkey is broke too, so they say. I've read of these so called demographic issues Russia has but cannot find much evidence of it. Russia's navy less than UK's? Can you field more than one aircraft carrier and even then what use is it against their hypersonic missiles and carrying the F35 white elephant? The winter war, my friend, is far from 2022. No use fighting the last war and all that. Russia has a now battle hardened army which is more than a match for NATO and the Skandis. It has barely begun to flex its muscles yet and look how it is trashing a NATO trained and interoperable force. Just a matter of time for the Ukes to capitulate.

1
operation_eland 1 point ago +1 / -0

Turkey doesn't have the best hand. Erdogan is his own worst enemy in this regard where he keeps inflating the currency. He does have a good long term plan to play. Turkeys demographics aren't bad compared to many other nations. Asia minor controls the headwaters of the Tigris and Euphrates. The Bosporus and Turkey having played a clever game with being a conduit for sanctioned oil to world markets and using gold to cover those trades. I believe Turkeys long term plan is to rebuild the Ottoman empire in the power vacuum left by the failure of American power. Their biggest challenge will probably be doing this in accommodation with Russia which have their own interests. Relations between the Russians and the Ottomans were always very... interesting and strained but given Russia's demographic issues I could see an arrangement between them and the Turks to control that region being beneficial to both sides.

We have two aircraft carriers and we have a fleet of new attack submarines which are putting to sea as well as the type 45 destroyer not to mention being an Island its relatively easy for us to project land and air power to repulse any invasion attempt and we can ship in what we need from all over the world. Russia's navy is in a poor state as evidenced by the sinking of the Moskva. I don't see them being able to project power against us. I really wish we had got the F35-C and installed a catapult on our carriers. I suppose worst case we may end up retrofitting them or possibly having to buy some AV-8's to take up the slack.

Scandinavia still has national service and has defence preparations going back decades preparing for a Russian invasion. They have some good weapons, the Swedish airforce for example I rate quite highly - Russia has control of the skies in Ukraine, they won't have the same in Scandinavia should they invade - the Swedish Airforce are very skilled at low flying. Finland and Sweden are not Ukraine. These are functioning first world nations with populations which have done national service, not poor mafia states. The Russians know what happened the last time they went to war with Finland and given their performance in Ukraine it would probably not work out well for them.

It doesn't look good for Ukraine. The Russians appeared to have obliterated a lot of their forces in the Donbas which were some of their best. Now they are bringing up untrained reservists and most of the NATO assistance forces and the AZOV bois got surrounded in the steel works. Rumour is the Russians captured a Canadian Lt. General there who has been liaising with them.

My guess is Russia ultimately takes everything up to the Dnieper and the Poles probably lop off some of Western Ukraine and fold it into a Polish rump state which is certainly what powerful figures in their government want.

labiator 1 point ago +1 / -0

Fighting Finland this time will be a very different game. Russian snipers are good too if your point of reference is a certain individual. They have done very well in the Ukraine which is why NATO is panicking. Uke troops were trained to NATO standard and to be interoperable. They have been methodically and soon to be resoundingly trounced with very heavy losses in men and materiel. This is why their leaders abandon their men now to their fate. You would be silly to interpret feints and tactical withdrawals as defeats. They achieved their purpose and time to move on to other objectives. Russian losses to Uke losses are probably one sixth or less. The west screeches bullshit about Russia losing but this is only to quell the fears in their populations and stop them from realizing that their leaders are feckless corrupt fuckwits who have abandoned their sacred oaths of office to serve their peoples' interests and not their own.

None of this would be an issue if Trump defended the constitution and upheld the oath of office.

By walking away from a election he knew was stolen, he allowed this.

That would've simply delayed the inevitable divide between the Right and Left in this country.

Through a failure of intervention, the Left has not only been fully exposed but made to act now out of desperation.

Buckle up.

They aren’t a moral or religious people, this country isn’t for them so they just toss it aside because it’s pearls in front of swine, and the swine rule. A shame, but it is what it is.
