“Churches”

141
CnnWillBlackmailYou 141 points ago +141 / -0

Any "Church" that does that is a church of Satan. And I'm not even particularly religious.

23
AgnosticTemplar 23 points ago +23 / -0

Agreed. I don't believe at all, but I recognize the importance christianity has played in western civilization. This subversion of the church is just a symptom of the subversion of western civilization as a whole bubbling to the surface, like an abscess.

5
616e6f6e796d6f7573 5 points ago +5 / -0

Well said, I'm an atheist of the Hitchens variety but the subversion of Christianity is identical to the subversion of wider culture by communists and must be resisted.

Exactly. These fake ass church’s deserve no legitimacy

27

Here's a "church" that ive driven past in Lincoln, NE several times. I could see this happening there. https://www.unitarianlincoln.org/lgbtqa.html

55
Long_time_lurker 55 points ago +55 / -0

It's unitarian. That's a big ass red flag right there. They believe in all religions, as if Satanism was somehow equally as valid as Christianity.

By believing everything, they end up believing nothing.

19
CoupeFL 19 points ago +19 / -0

Methodists are terrible in this area, too. Openly dyke female pastors with rainbow sashes

12
Long_time_lurker 12 points ago +12 / -0

Really depends on the congregation. There are still normal ones, but yeah, there's a particular Methodist church that I never set foot in again after something like that.

13
freebirdie 13 points ago +13 / -0

The United Methodist church as a whole is woke apostate filth and has been for over 50 years. I grew up in it. They drove me from God and Jesus with their hypocrisy. In no way does the Methodist sect serve Christ.

1
Long_time_lurker 1 point ago +1 / -0

I grew up in a church that really did believe, but when I went to find others they'd been compromised, so yeah.

12
Jack_HinsonTN 12 points ago +12 / -0

We've got an Ordained Tranny Groomer Lutheran minister in Nashville. Thing is pure evil.

3

Methodist church resorted to recruiting church members from the LGBT cesspool decades ago.

10
coolhandcuke 10 points ago +10 / -0

My local unitarian church has a big "Black Lives Matter" sign on it. And a rainbow flag. So true.

11
AgnosticTemplar 11 points ago +11 / -0

Remember the movie Dogma, and how the plot was about fallen angels were using loopholes in church doctrine to prove god wrong, which would negate all of reality? They did this out of spite, if they couldn't get back into heaven, they'd flip the table on everything. Flying rainbow flags in a church seems like spiteful assholes trying to goad god into reneging on the promise to never flood the earth again.

5
Vox_Dobad 5 points ago +5 / -0

Alan Rickman was so damn funny in that movie

3
coolhandcuke 3 points ago +3 / -0

I liked that movie. Love Rickman.

4
AJoeDD 4 points ago +4 / -0

My childhood Presbyterian church had a rainbowy "all are welcome" poster. :/

1
Long_time_lurker 1 point ago +1 / -0

Some Unitarians have been known to host Satanists, as well as every other religion. You can't stand for anything when you believe every religion is the same.

Doesn't help that some religions from China especially were written by people on drugs. I mean, they talk about mixing medicines from all sorts of random plants to gain more "qi," see rainbows everywhere, etc. The more you look at it the more it looks like someone tripping.

7
Quixotic 7 points ago +7 / -0

One thing about Unitarians

they HATE the Blood of Christ

8
vote_for_MAGA_2020 8 points ago +8 / -0

It’s one thing to welcome lgbts in hopes of convincing them to abandon their degenerate lifestyles. This church, on the other hand, is waving the pride flag around with no mention of how homosexuality is a sin.

"How is this going to bring the children closer to Christ?" 🤔

"Christ?"🤨

14
JimBobWalters 14 points ago +14 / -0

It's not. I wonder if it's a real church affiliated to a network with a place of worship for Sunday Services. Most of these efforts are fake news where a person names themselves a gay leader of a church nobody attends or knows about.

4
Undying 4 points ago +4 / -0

31
Debutante 31 points ago +31 / -0

This is The United Church of Christ. What denomination is that?

73
TommyJarvis 73 points ago +74 / -1

It's a milquetoast protestant sect formed in the 50s that cobbles together liturgical concepts from other protestant sects. Lacking any legacy, it was pretty easy for the communists to infiltrate.

5
TommyJarvis 5 points ago +5 / -0

https://bfm.sbc.net/bfm2000/#xv

In the spirit of Christ, Christians should oppose racism, every form of greed, selfishness, and vice, and all forms of sexual immorality, including adultery, homosexuality, and pornography. We should work to provide for the orphaned, the needy, the abused, the aged, the helpless, and the sick. We should speak on behalf of the unborn and contend for the sanctity of all human life from conception to natural death.

Emphasis mine. So they oppose homosexuality, porn and abortion in their "mission".

1
patriot68 1 point ago +1 / -0

This is why they put it in your face through clothing, symbols, insignia and mannerisms to make sure you know exactly what kind of perverted shit they do in the bedroom to each other.

If LGBTers were truly of a religious mind, they would keep their sexual preferences in private, and not broadcast it. You don't see heterosexual couples going to church and broadcasting their sexual preferences, do you?

It's just yet another form of infiltration, slowly but surely spreading perversion into the house of God.

Jan6Insurrectionist 1 point ago +1 / -0

Evil cannot create, only corrupt creation.

3
TommyJarvis 3 points ago +3 / -0

I saw a "Baptist" church near the University of Texas campus that was all pride flagged out a while back. I nearly puked my fucking guts out.

Is it Southern Baptist that is being corrupted? Because that one is hard to believe. Those are the "dont sit in the front row" Baptist churches!

3
Undying 3 points ago +3 / -0

The Southern Baptist church is the best church.

2
TommyJarvis 2 points ago +2 / -0

Growing up I remember the preacher holding the bible in one hand and going apoplectic up in front talking about hell and you didn't dare sit in front because he'd grab you and shake you.

One thing I never could stand though was the cacophony of perfumes and colognes making a familiar chemical stink together. Church, graduation ceremonies, funerals..

2
that_sound 2 points ago +2 / -0

Why?

Serious question - where does a former catholic (in the north) look to find a good protestant church?

Do me a solid and break down the most popular denominations.

3
logicallyevil 3 points ago +3 / -0

Orthodox

Wish there was one near me. I'd take Russian or Greek.

2
that_sound 2 points ago +2 / -0

Thank you very much!

I went to a Greek church for a funeral once. Was the nicest service I've ever witnessed. By a long shot. I... I wasn't even considering these because of the ethnic angle.

I'm really glad you commented. Thank you.

I've never heard of any of that. Well, I've heard of Maronites, but I thought they were only in Lebanon, and teeny tiny. Didn't know they were in the states.

I do take it in the spirit intended, and greatly appreciate the time you took you write it, but I am done with the catholic church. I don't want to get into all the details, but there is no way. Not ever. Do the ones you listed recognize the pope?

2
Mangomangomango89 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ill do my best.

Calvary chapel: teaches line by line through the Bible, usually very conservative (mileage may vary on the huge ones).

Baptist: also very solid biblical teaching. Some can be Calvanist (full disclosure, I'm not a Calvinist). Usually conservative. Some of the larger churches are going woke but not all.

Presbyterian: can be good depending on the flavor, I don't know a lot about them. Avoid Pres.. Church USA at all costs (mega woke).

Assembly of God: probably the most doctrinally sound of the charismatic churches. Tend to be conservative but my local one is woke unfortunately. I probably agree with their stated doctrine the most (but not in everything).

A lot of the non-denominational churches are shades of woke these days, especially the larger ones.

Main difference from Catholicism is we believe that salvation is a gift that is though faith in Christ alone, and that no works we do can "earn it". Rather, those works are an evidence of the faith we have.

Let me know if you have any questions

1
that_sound 1 point ago +1 / -0

Thank you very much! If I may take just a bit more of your time...

Thoughts on Calvanist churches? The (very) little I've read seemed interesting. The one person I met who identified as such was a wonderful person.

Yes, they are. I don’t think they are too heavy-handed in the LGBT stuff (yet). but they were pushing the narrative that there is some sort of need for…(I’m forgetting the word I’m thinking of)…repentance by White people during the Fentanyl Floyd riots. A friend of mine was going to a church where they accepted afghan refugees from the recent conflict there (he stopped going after that). Another church insisted on doing a service in Spanish even though they aren’t even a Hispanic heavy community. I visited one megachurch once, and only once, where they brought up the lgbt stuff. They weren’t pushing it, but they refused to acknowledge that lgbt is wrong and is a sin. It’s like they have a mental illness where they just refuse to announce it’s wrong anymore.

2
TommyJarvis 2 points ago +2 / -0

According to the "message" from the SBC I posted they still oppose homosexuality, officially.

I can't say for sure, because honestly it's been a long time since I've been in a Southern Baptist church. I was faithless for a long, long time and I'm only recently starting to rediscover my faith in God. I have many years growing up in Southern Baptist faith, going through high school, but my life circumstances turned bad and I rejected it all and that stuck with me WELL into adulthood.

That has to be different than the “Church of Christ”. I remember The church of Christ being very conservative

17

They are not the same. That church is probably a Universal "church" We have several here and they all have rainbow banners.

10

8
Stina1227 8 points ago +8 / -0

A Lutheran church in Greenville NC is also doing this. It is pervasive. Protect your churches and don’t leave til they kick you out. And make it uncomfortable not to kick you out.

I regret not sticking it out and confronting the anti 2A in my church but I’m trying to figure out where I fit in this as a woman.

1
stratocaster_patriot 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well Paul had his thinking about women and the church but remember the Bible was full of strong active women who made things happen and they were critical.

3
stratocaster_patriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

These days, anytime someone tells you they are "united", look out.

It's one thing to be the united states and unit different people from different backgrounds. But in Christianity there is one Christ so if humans are "unifying" it generally means any hodge podge societal desire gets swept up and accepted. Christ said he came not to bring piece but a sword so father and son unifying and rectifying their disparate beliefs in Christ is not Christianity.

9
JimBobWalters 9 points ago +9 / -0

These lefties will create entities with no audience or even a place to host a Sunday Service. I remember that lesbian that ran a church that made headlines. Come to find out she doesn't have anyone that attends because she doesn't even have a Service or place to host service.

3
stratocaster_patriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

The Apostle Paul showed up in Athens and made fun of them. On his way into town he sow altars to idols of all sorts and even one to a God named "Unknown". Pagans are happy to worship empty idols in empty churches and it's hard to say why people are that insane.

3

There's this entire genre of churches that call themselves "reconciled", basically unashamed Apostate churches that serve to appease the people first and foremost. Look for this nametag, it tells you all you need to know about both them and the surrounding community.

You fail to understand the theology behind what's happening. The masculine principle represents God, and the feminine His church. Marriage is the joining of the two, which is promised to occur at a future date, when Jesus returns. Marriage is therefore representative of the covenant relationship between God and man.

Distorting men to become feminine is defacing the image of God, and making the symbolic argument that God should be something He is not. It's an attempt to bring God down, and to elevate mankind. To disrupt the very fabric of the universe. To mutate the natural order into something unholy.

There's a reason the Bible calls homosexuality an abomination, and compares those who practice it with dogs.

-1
Voteordie -1 points ago +5 / -6

Truth? You want the gods honest truth? Religion was made to suppress the masses. They were afraid of the unknown and afraid the idea that dying leads to nothing so they created religion, they made up gods, they made up demons and they made up Satan to. Eventually they began to use that fear against people, they taught morals to make it look and sounds like they have a shit but i reality, they wanted money. Like all the good little sheep religious followers are, they ate it all right up and paid people for the privilege.

Your religion is just like the other thousands that have fallen before, it’s rooted in lies and taught to keep you pacified and content with living a nothing life.

The act can’t be purely satanic, because satan doesn’t exist. Bad people exist, and they are very very real.

They laugh at ancient mythology and think those people were quaint and stupid. I think true stupidity is thinking that they have moved past that behavior while indulging in it deeper than ever. They don't build physical idols so they can claim they don't worship idols. At least the idolaters of old believed in something higher than themselves. Today each person has become their own idol as well as every "the thing" that happens to come out today. Heck we had a TV show named "American Idol". They hate people and want the population controlled and yet they worship nothing but people.

As a corollary to "To find out who rules you, find out who you cannot criticize", to find out who has cultural dominance, look to who is allowed to commit political violence. 100 years ago if this church had been burned down and/or the pastor murdered by a group of angry faithful Christians, the perpetrators would likely be let off with a slap on the wrist at most. Now, Satanists can hold their black masses openly and all you get from Christians is at most a group to stand outside praying Rosaries, for whatever good that is supposed to do

No. I was pointing out the bullshit post title not matching up to the story.

2
stratocaster_patriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

That is so funny. They are trying to estimate their revenues like a business would. But fear not guys, God provides for you right? Or is it that they need to figure out who gets all the home visits? It could also be manipulation. When someone writes that estimate it becomes a commitment in their own minds and humans do (or at least used to) hate to be inconsistent with themselves if they think people will see. So it's a way to get more money out of people probably. If my pastor put on a drag he would be giving me all my tithing back. Failure to perform what I paid him to do.

1
dougwiser 1 point ago +1 / -0

when I was raised in the methodist church they did it too, someone has to know the budget it is not new, since at least the 70's

2
stratocaster_patriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

I run a business. I don't need to call all my customers and ask them how much they plan to buy this year in order to do my budget. That's ridiculous. If I want to ensure they spend more I will try to get them to commit to a figure early in the year and let their guilt take care of the rest.

2
vote_for_MAGA_2020 2 points ago +2 / -0

united church of Christ

What do you expect from heretics?

3
jerrymesa 3 points ago +3 / -0

I often wondered how Catholic priests, who claim to worship God and believe on His Word and Christ (God’s Son) resurrected, disregarded the words of Jesus when he proclaimed, “Better that he be tied with a millstone around his neck and tossed into the sea rather than cause one of these little ones (children) to stray,” when they molested all the children they did. Pretty basic and simple. You do not cause kids to sin lest you kindle the wrath of the Holy One of Israel! How hard is that to understand? An yet, here we go again. Hypocrites!

4
stratocaster_patriot 4 points ago +4 / -0

Heck it's even more straightforward than that. Paul flat out tells men not to dress like women because it's an abomination. Can't get more direct than that so Christian failure is just blatant at this point. Christ never asked us to open our hearts and minds and doors to abomination. He told his apostles if a place would not hear them to wash their hands of the place and let it rot.

2
akira2501 2 points ago +2 / -0

That's actually in Deuteronomy. Paul quotes from this book, but the previous chapter. And he does so in the context of Jesus' sacrifice as relieving us from being condemned by those laws... the power of forgiveness is in faith, not in the temple itself and definitely not in the animal sacrifices you were expected to bring; is what I believe he was getting at.

Yep. Just more illustration of the blatant hypocrisy

3
ravioli_king 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's weird. I thought churches didn't put up with this sort of thing.

5
TommyJarvis 5 points ago +5 / -0

UCC is commie cover.

5
stratocaster_patriot 5 points ago +5 / -0

Some Christians today have fallen and think that our job is to be nice and make everybody like us and never make anyone sad or feel bad about who they are. I think it's because most people are lazy and have never studied on their own or they would see the twisted way in which Christianity is being administered these days. Of course there are still some good guys out there too.

2
AmannamedRJ 2 points ago +2 / -0

There's an account on Youtube all about exposing these cuck churches.

Purge these people from the church immediately.

1
logicallyevil 1 point ago +1 / -0

How about we purge those churches from the face of the earth while we're at it.

Did you forget about all the priests grooming little boys??

3

"Forbidden queer literature" lol. Probably a bunch of homoerotic bullshit about Jesus and Mohammed.

3
slimcoat 3 points ago +3 / -0

Definitely not of Mohammed, they know what happens when the barbarians' favorite pedophile is insulted.

3
stratocaster_patriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

They have even gone so far as to claim that Mohammed worshiped the same god as Abraham. This appears to be "common knowledge" today, Christians sharing that opinion with the political left, and it's a lie and an obvious one if you've read the Bible even once.

20 years ago I would have assumed it was just teenagers in youth group indulging in some self-deprecating humor.

Definitely feels like a different world.

"youth group indulging in some self-deprecating humor."

Everything snowballs.

Satan has entered the church.

It is, unfortunately his creation.

3

They should rename the church to the Naples United Church of Moloch.

3
GGAllin 3 points ago +6 / -3

People who go to church don't realize they are just sheep to be fleeced

I say this as a believer

4
swift_water 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yeah I tell the people I study with Jesus would never go to church.

3
stratocaster_patriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

Well to be fair he didn't need to. We do need each other though. So I would say you are having church with the people you study with as WE are the church. I'm with you in the sense though that it's not required to belong to a congregation and pay tithes and do what they say. My only desire to join a church is just so I will not be totally isolated anymore but I'm not sure it's worth it because eventually will come the, "brother we notice you aren't X and you need to do X". Part of me resists that because I am rebellious but part of it is because it's often nonsense.

4
swift_water 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yes, our studies refer to ourselves as the body of christ. We aim to edify one another and really study his Word. Steel sharpens steel.

The communal aspect of it is huge. We each live in this small town together, I've been convincing them slowly but surely to arm themselves. We all know to prepare.

3
stratocaster_patriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

I like it. Since you shared I just felt like saying that I have been doing the same thing but all on my own. For the first time I am actually studying in great detail all for myself and by myself and it's been fantastic in the sense that I know more than I did and the burdens all rest on me. It's a bit like Bitcoin, you are on your own and therefore it forces you to understand and pay closer attention and take it so much more seriously. There is no safety net in the sense that nobody is going to help me understand anything or get through anything, it's just me, the Bible, and Christ for the first time in life and something seems very right about that. And yet at times not quite right in the sense that "where two or three are gathered together in my name...." I guess I could easily do something about that though.

5
swift_water 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yeah it's pretty incredible once you sit with it just how much was misrepresented to everyone for so long.

It's the one book they definitely do not want you to read for yourself.

There are likely others around you doing the same thing, wondering if there's any around them like you.

There appears to be a real revival happening.

3
Ilove45 3 points ago +3 / -0

I've walked away from God a couple of times in my life, and whenever I come home He keeps me from formal church until I get my footing again. He's jealous over us - He knows that if I jump right back into church I'll get caught up in doing "church stuff" and not make enough time for studying and being with Him. He's a sweet and wise Father to me.

2
stratocaster_patriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

Amen. Me too a couple times. You say that and I feel it. Jealous over me. Wow. I really needed to hear that and I know it's true. Thank you.

He’d never call for hanging people either but that doesn’t stop all these “Christians” from doing so.

2
stratocaster_patriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

"He’d never call for hanging people either"

So? Does being a Christian mean you no longer believe in your country's justice system. Jesus did say render unto Caesar. Wanting our justice system to perform is just fine, Christian or not.

Also it's not right to think that Christ and Christians are going to act the same. If you think so then you don't understand Christianity at all.

Therefore this is what the Lord says about the prophets who are prophesying in My name: I did not send them, yet they are saying, ‘No sword or famine will touch this land.’ Those same prophets will perish by sword and famine. And the people they are prophesying to will be thrown out into the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and sword. There will be no one to bury them, their wives, their sons and their daughters. I will pour out on them the calamity they deserve” (Jeremiah 14:15-16).

But there were also false prophets among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you. They will secretly introduce destructive heresies, even denying the sovereign Lord who bought them-bringing swift destruction on themselves. (2 Peter 2:1)

Two of my favorite verses concerning false prophets and churches that deny the teachings of Christ.

Saw a LGBT flag flying next to the Christian flag at a church in Santa Barbara.

4
stratocaster_patriot 4 points ago +4 / -0

Isn't it ironic, God points to the rainbow to remind us that he will never flood the earth again. But eventually that same symbol would be used to represent the people who are the reason we will get nuked with fire.

2
Snowflakeslayer 2 points ago +2 / -0

"Churches" need people to fill the coffers. Why not appeal to people who despise the church? Virtue signaling and spite, what a combo.

2
dougwiser 2 points ago +2 / -0

I got bad news for lots of people, there is no church in our Father's law, another person invented them.

3
stratocaster_patriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

Paul? He said we are the church. The church is the body of Christ. "The church" generically is real and legitimate but not to say any denomination is. I am not entirely disagreeing with you here but I would point out also that Christ did not come to create a written book but a church of sorts, in other words, to establish his body here. The words written about Christ came long after his death so all there could have been in those intervening years was a church.

2
dougwiser 2 points ago +2 / -0

interesting comment do you remember when Jacob or was it Abraham that told our father he wanted to build the temple, and Father replied that he had already gave them the law and asked why they were not content to live by it?

3
stratocaster_patriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

Not sure, I thought that was David, but the church I am referring to is not a physical building to house God. It's not even a strict organization of people. At the end of the day Paul said we are the church and body of Christ and that if one limb doesn't work, the whole body is in trouble.

2

2

The pastor should be excommunicated, the leadership disbanded and the building razed

Thats no longer ground fit for fellowship nor worship

1

Easier than that. Just stop showing up and the guy's income goes away and then you see whom he truly serves.

2

2
FLIBS 2 points ago +2 / -0

"A sign-up form for the event requires users to sign off that they acknowledge that the event is not affiliated with Naples UCC or Collier County Public Schools." Then why are they hosting it? We have NOTHING to do with it except we are allowing it here. wtf.

2
FuckReddit4545 2 points ago +2 / -0

We have NOTHING to do with it except we are allowing it here.

They are full of shit. They support this nonsense all the way. "A traditional church for progressive people" is all you need to know.

2
Aoikaze2000 2 points ago +2 / -0

I'm kinda expecting some freak accident where the dragshow gets stuck inside the building while it burns to the ground... but I don't think that kind of sign would be revealed, though.

1
stratocaster_patriot 1 point ago +1 / -0

I wonder if any church shooting will just so happen to by on the day of the drag queens. $10M says they won't be at church that day.

2
CovfefeAnon 2 points ago +2 / -0

They always use organizations against individuals.

3
stratocaster_patriot 3 points ago +3 / -0

And they always call individuals "communities". They also call rat infested inner city chaos a community. They try to force us all mentally into an organization of some kind. It's impossible to herd cats but if you can get those cats into smaller communities and round those up eventually you get all the cats.

The United Church jumped the shark a very long time ago. I've been a Christian for decades. They abandoned the authority of Scripture before I was born.

This is what happens when men & women turn their back on God, His Authority, and try to be more like the world around them: perversion.

1

The pastors too

1
Schroeder09 1 point ago +1 / -0

lol "church". lol. probably started by one of the many pentecostal mega church phony christian grifters who slept with his secretary, had to leave that community, church and family behind, did the whole thing again, and again, and on about the 4th time this "church" is what was spawned. don't go. don't fund them. pretty easy here.
