Even if she is Asgardian, she's no Thor. I don't care if they did this woke shit in the comics before. Fuck "girl power". Girl power is nothing compared to man power. Thor's strength behind the hammer is superior. I hate the attack on masculinity. It's pervasive and everywhere. What I would give to live in the 80s when mustaches and manly men were to be admired.

Just go watch The Northman instead. Waaaay better than any of this woke garbage. Finally was some good entertainment.

Bonus points, the left has been bashing on it saying it was white supremacy because it was all white people (in a time/place that would have historically been all white people), and are upset that it's too masculine.

That director has been spot on in all of his movies so far. I highly suggest it if you're looking for a movie to watch and need a break from the wokefest of late.

Also within the last few years was Blade Runner 2049. I went into it expecting a wokefest but for a modern sequel, it was amazing

Agree. It's in my collection. I also purchased the Northman.

99% of movies that have come out in the last 10 years, even 20 years, have been garbage. When I find a gem that's worth watching I immediately buy it and put it in my collection.

Yeah, I saw it and all the slaves were white. What was up with that? Libs tell me that's impossible. They made the same complaint about "Dunkirk," having a white cast which was funny.

I'm not a history buff but I couldn't help but feel like The Northman was dragging its dick through white culture.

I'm a woman and absolutely 💯 agree with you.

(And I love 80s movies, mustaches and manly men.)

If all women were like you we'd have colonized another galaxy by now

80's movies were great, absolutely.

I think "girl power" has it's place. I love Terminator. Sarah Connor was a normal chick who survived because Kyle Reese protected her while telling her she HAD to be strong, it was her destiny. And Alien/Aliens. Ripley was a bad ass in the first one cause she had no choice if she wanted to live. In the second one, it was not just her own survival but also for the love of a little girl who needed protection. Those were my strong female role models growing up, as a sci-fi nerd.

Male characters being revised in remakes as females? Totally dumb, I agree. I don't know much about comics but I cannot think of any film with a strong male lead that I like being made better by redoing it with a chick being the replacement. It's just stupid. Like... okay, 80's and mustaches? Smokey and the Bandit but a chick is driving instead of Burt Reynolds? No, please God no! :D

So yeah. Girl power has it's place but it has to stand on it's own as a good story, not as a means to replace a man just to replace a man.

Also, Blade Runner 2049 was indeed much better than I anticipated. I almost didn't watch it cause I love the original so much. They did a pretty good job.

You are amazing. I agree with everything you said. I love strong, believable heroines. Not tiny chicks laughably throwing around 250lb dudes like nothing. Women can be badasses, but this agenda is just so forced.

Thank you. I got the warm fuzzies now. :) And 100%, this forced agenda, in it's many forms, is super friggin annoying .

Spoiler alert: She's just Thor's old girlfriend from Earth with fancy armor and a superglued-together hammer. Every Asgaridan toddler could beat the snot out of her.

they're replacing thor with natalie portman who is a human. the black asgardian is not the new thor. natalie portman is.

Thor's girl becoming Thor has already been established previously in the comics years ago in 2015. It at least is not an immediate invention for a sequel.

Sex-swapped (and race-swapped) characters are proof that you ran out of ideas to do with a character concept. Same thing with multiverses, time travel, making characters gay, and evil versions of the character. Lazy ass writing.

Most people on the street can come up with more interesting ideas of what to do with Thor or Batman. Of the top of my head, have Thor go on an adventure to revive Loki or have Batman and the Joker fight it out in India or some shit.

A lot less people would be fat if we idolized fitness again rather than catering to the obsession self esteem problems

I was just thinking about posting that wokism killed marvel quicker than two snaps of your fingers.

All of this crap is going into the dustbin and we're going to build entirely new businesses around it. This will include new entertainment media for people that want normal entertainment as well as wholesome entertainment. Then the Disney garbage will go back to the Gay and Lesbian aisle of Blockbuster Video - where it belongs, forever.

"The Last Kingdom" on netflix is pretty good too. There are some bones thrown to wokeness peppered in, but it can be overlooked for the most part.
