Republic is democratic by definition. We are a constitutional republic, which is a democratic form of government. When they say “democratic republic”, it is redundant & wrong which is why the name “Democratic Party” should be banned & they should have to change it - because it exploits the people who think republicans do not believe in democracy, when being Republican automatically makes you democratic - you vote, don’t ya?
