yet already has been.

States everywhere are highly intent on outlawing or at least controlling even the mere possession of arms by private citizens—and most states have indeed succeeded in this task—as an armed man is clearly more of a threat to any aggressor than an unarmed man. It bears much less risk for the state to keep things peaceful while its own aggression continues, if rifles with which the taxman could be shot are out of the reach of everyone except the taxman himself!

21
Filthy_MALE 21 points ago +22 / -1

They won’t go door to door

You’ll be stopped on your way to work, maybe in your place of work

At the grocery store

At your kids soccer game

They know better than to disturb you at your house.

22
Jan6Insurrectionist [S] 22 points ago +22 / -0

Or one day your credit card will be declined and you'll get a text:

Your assets have been frozen for noncompliance with the Menendez-Blumenthal Act. You must turn in all illegal firearms <list of serial no.'s> within 15 days or a warrant will be issued for your arrest. This is your only warning.

Everyone thinks I'm so smart because I have a huge shelf of books.... And I am smart, not because I read them all, the books are hollowed out and I've been hoarding cash. Good luck cashless society.

10
Jan6Insurrectionist [S] 10 points ago +11 / -1

Inflation is destroying the value of cash as well. And crypto just cratered. It's precious metals or Mad Max style wasteland raiding at this point.

7
Harper42190 7 points ago +7 / -0

Crypto is fine. I'm well diversified. I have half my $ in there, got lucky I bought a few hundred Ethereum in 2015... Have cash, some dwac and other index funds, and then ammo....lots and lots of ammo.

6
MAGA_MEME 6 points ago +6 / -0

Crypto is not something I'd want to liquidate in a hyper-inflated economy, but I wish you the best in the days to come.

2
Filthy_MALE 2 points ago +2 / -0

We had to know it would end eventually. A source of power that can’t be tracked by the feds?

We were always better off buying gold with cash and then keeping our mouths shut

1
Harper42190 1 point ago +1 / -0

I do not want to pay 500k in taxes right now if I sell... If it goes to zero I'm fine with that better than giving 20% to the filthy government. Only invested a few thousand anyway. Lol

-3

10
Yianni1955 10 points ago +10 / -0

We will gather intel on the folks carrying out these tyrannical, unconstitutional actions. Who are they? Where are their offices, cars, homes. Who do they work for? ( What's the chain-of-command?), What's their routine? Patterns? etc. Once you've gathered enough intel, you can develop an action plan. Law-abiding, patriotic citizens will not be disarmed by an illegitimate, tyrannical government.

4
Filthy_MALE 4 points ago +6 / -2

I stopped reading after “We will”

We? Who?

Will? Empty promises again?

3
Yianni1955 3 points ago +4 / -1

Who is we? Patriots who have reached their limits. Everyone has a different limit. I understand your frustration at what is happening to our country, ( especially by an illegitimate regime that stole the 2020 presidential election. ) The problem is that life is still too comfortable and good, despite all the crap that's going on. I suspect that will change, and become much, much worse in a few years. Until then I recommend developing local conservative leadership and communities for mutual aid and defense/offense for when things do fall apart.

0
Filthy_MALE 0 points ago +1 / -1

You just said life being comfortable is a problem. Wut?

🏦🏢🏛🛰🚓

8
Yianni1955 8 points ago +8 / -0

No. I said life is still so comfortable for most people that they are not motivated to take any drastic action. This is not necessarily a , " problem" because we should try to work within our Constitutional legal and political system to solve problems. Wouldn't you agree? However, our Founding Fathers did leave us with an option to use in the event our system becomes so broken it no longer works. Each individual must make a personal decision as to when to exercise that option.

1
T-Bear 1 point ago +2 / -1

Tells them to bring backup.

That's okay....for some of 'Pedes here, they can bring the backup, but it won't help.

Word will get around fast with the thugs. In several places, your kind of fear and reluctance will result in sheep getting rolled over.

In other places, the thugs will get rolled by determined men and women with nothing more to lose.

Some of us look at the forces arrayed, and are dismayed. Fearful. Scornful of those voicing determination and liberty.

Some of us just aren't scared of them any more.

We know what they can bring. We know they eavesdrop. We just don't fear them.

If the supreme Court had any balls they'd get rid of every goddamn federal law that infringes on the constitutional right of gun ownership on the books.

5
TravelingSalesman 5 points ago +5 / -0

I think when you are truly awake you start questioning things like "what is a law", "what is a president", and "what is money"? These are all constructs created by man, which only have as much power as you give them. Laws are meaningless if there is nobody to enforce them. A president has no power if nobody follows him. Money has no value if it is created by dreaming it up out of thin air.

1
My_dick_screamed 1 point ago +1 / -0

Like... what's stopping them? They're the highest court in the land. Scared they're gonna get whacked? Fuck it, we've all had to get used to Zoom calls anyway so the SCOTUS can just do that. Do it all over the airwaves.

They could literally give America back to the people but won't.

2
p1smo 2 points ago +2 / -0

They don't, but until the government casts away all pretense of caring about the Constitution, there's still certain checks and balances to uphold what little bit of society that remains.

3
Jan6Insurrectionist [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

They're already pushing for "hate speech" laws and a "Disinformation Board" - how much farther do they need to go?

By the time they've torn up the Constitution and are twerking over the shreds it's too late and we both know it.

1
Yianni1955 1 point ago +1 / -0

The things that prod people to action are personal, in-your-face threats like: severe food shortages, prolonged power outages, loss of water supply, direct personal threats from crime, ( not inner-city ghetto black-on-black crime), or if the government sends agents directly to your house. Those are the kinds of things that motivate people to get desperate and fight. We aren't there yet.

1
Jan6Insurrectionist [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

yet

1
p1smo 1 point ago +1 / -0

how much farther do they need to go?

One look at human history will tell you we've a long way yet to go.

By the time they've torn up the Constitution and are twerking over the shreds it's too late and we both know it.

Unfortunately that may very well be our fate. I think people need to come to grips with the reality that the world as we know it is ending, and it isn't coming back. All we can do is prepare ourselves, so when the time comes we can play a role in reshaping our future, and not be victims of it.

https://thecrimereport.org/2014/08/04/2014-08-prob-to-violent-crim-in-kc/

This was almost 10 years ago...

"Fifteen times in the last five years, killers convicted of second-degree murder or voluntary manslaughter walked out of courtrooms in Kansas City, Missouri’s Jackson County with sentences of probation, reports the Kansas City Star. No other court in Missouri comes close to matching that generosity. Probation for those convicted of second-degree murder and voluntary manslaughter mirrors how Jackson County uses probation across a spectrum of violent crimes. Many violent criminals get probation despite being convicted of the worst robbery and assault crimes prosecuted in the area. Some receive second, third and fourth chances before finally hearing bars slam shut because they graduated to murder or manslaughter. "

When Missouri finally banned probation for murder convictions, Dems went fucking crazy. Called it "big government".
