"Let me just tweet this shit out while I vote yes for another 40 billion to Ukraine"

- Eyepatch McCaine
dafuq 39 points ago +39 / -0

They are both pieces of shit, share the same name as far as i'm concerned.

Minus all the points.

Andy 13 points ago +13 / -0

How about "Zodiac McCaine" from now on?

FreeOrDieNH 9 points ago +9 / -0

Yeah, you have to be retarded not to realize that these dipshits post cool stuff on the internet just to hide the fact that they aren't doing jack shit to change things in real life.

What has Cruz done for these victims?

Benwa1985-2 [S] -2 points ago +10 / -12

That would be Crenshaw not Cruz 🤷

Tyscribz 37 points ago +37 / -0

Cruz also voted for it

BeefyBelisarius 6 points ago +7 / -1

Yes, but Lyin Ted already has a perfectly good nickname.

1776DeusVult 24 points ago +24 / -0

Cruz voted for it too

Kamalas_a_Bitch 6 points ago +6 / -0

Cruz also called us terrorists how soon y’all forget

DeadOverRed 8 points ago +8 / -0

This is bullshit. All we have to do is say " we don't care about Ukraine."

ColoRobo 2 points ago +3 / -1

I wish more conservative media would show this type of stuff. Not that I necessarily believe any politicians at this point and especially not a flip-flop like Ted but if this really is about deterring China from trying to take Taiwan then that may sway my opinion a little more. If China takes Taiwan we are fucked.

Norwegianskier 2 points ago +2 / -0

Politicians need to be fucking honest.

If they want to scare china by breaking Russias army. Fine, just say it.

Stop the fucking lies. you are not bombing for peace. You have never bombed for peace.

You want to keep the military industry healthy so you spend shitton of money on military. Fine, just tell us. Dont make up some bullshit.

BeefyBelisarius 1 point ago +2 / -1

If China takes Taiwan, we may have to start building semiconductors in the US again.

ColoRobo 2 points ago +2 / -0

I agree. I can’t imagine that’s a quick process though.

Benwa1985-2 [S] 4 points ago +7 / -3

How did I get downvoted 7 times for pointing out that "eye patch McCain" is Crenshaw and not Cruz. 😂

TheMadManDidItAgain -10 points ago +1 / -11

Because people here hate Cruz because they take a clip of him talking about violent actions happening on Jan6 and calling them domestic terrorists, and then projecting that Cruz said that about every single person there, even though Cruz has made it clear that he is talking about anybody who violently attacked law enforcement officers.

People hear treat Ted Cruz like the left treats Trump for saying "there are good people on both sides" and then completely ignore anything else said.

DaayTerkErJerbs 8 points ago +8 / -0

You stupid fuck. He lied for a month claiming j6ers murder police despite capital police coming out within 24 hrs clearly stating no police were killed.

Cozette 1 point ago +2 / -1

Lyin' Ted earned the Forever Name Trump gave him. However, Lyin' Ted, is useful because what drives him is his lust for power and the spotlight rather than ideology. Ted's a Fauci. Plus he's totally predictable, like Hillary.

I occasionally enjoy his Twitter snark but its a tv sitcom level of enjoyment. Especially when compared to Twitter madlad geniuses like Trump and Elon.

Bottom line, I can enjoy El Rato because I don't buy his bull shit so I don't expect him to be anything other than what he is, DC Vampire Mitchs Renfield.

TheMadManDidItAgain 1 point ago +1 / -0

Trump likes Ted Cruz, at least for now. Yeah, Trump and Cruz were not friendly during the primaries, but Cruz openly supports Trump. And I think it's very clear they have a good relationship since Trump 2017.

I don't see Cruz as power hungry. He regularly stands on solid, conservative principles. Sometimes, I agree, those are challenged. The Conservative Review gives him a Liberty score of 88% which is really quite good.

Cruz is voting for Conservative principles almost all the time. He's a conservative ally. It's a shame people here dislike him so much because I feel he is a very good senator. I wish a lot more senators would be like Cruz. He will openly talk to anybody, and not many senators do that.

I do find him predictable because he almost always takes the liberty or Constitutional stance on something. There are times he surprises me and I disagree with him. I'm OK with that, I think it is unreasonable to expect a politician to be 100% aligned with my own ideas. But I tell you what, I'm in alignment on him with nearly all issues.

I find it really stupid that our own side is attacking people like Ted Cruz when we should be attacking Pelosi, Nadler, Susan Collins, Sharrod Brown, boy fucker Adam Schiff... No, instead, people insist on attacking Ted Cruz.

morethanaconquerer2 2 points ago +2 / -0

It applies to most repubs. You can likely count the good ones on your fingers.

BahamaDon 2 points ago +2 / -0

I stopped counting when my food stamps arrived.

Pepper2 32 points ago +32 / -0

Wow, if only Cruz was in a position of authority to do something like subpoena records, out inner government circles, or draw up legislation.

TheMadManDidItAgain 0 points ago +2 / -2

He cannot do that stuff... he can draw up legislation, but he cannot enforce it. And no legislation needs drawn up. Enforce the laws we already have.

Way too many people think Congress has more power than they actually have, especially the minority party in Congress. They cannot just create investigations, or get people out of jail. It would be great if he "outed inner government" circles, but even that is covered in red tape... it's not that easy, and there are processes they have to go through (especially with classified information), and those processes are headed by Democrats (such as the oversight committee).

So, there's really not much he can do other than bring it to the people's attention... and it's up to the people to apply pressure to the democrats.

Pepper2 6 points ago +6 / -0

That's a retard take. Rand Paul is running circles around Cruz. Cruz is all fucking talk, any ivy league dandy who loves the process, always has been. He can put together a committee, even if informal, of other Senators who get get to the bottom of Epstein's clients. MTG is causing waves and agitating the BS process, Cruz is stuck in his law books

TheMadManDidItAgain 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's not retarded, nor is it a 'take.' It's how the government works. "Causing waves and agitating the BS process" is what Cruz is trying to do. MTG isn't passing legislation, or creating committees, or any of that. She's using her position to try to get her message out, and Cruz is doing the exact same thing. Same with Rand Paul (who wanted oversight on money spent, good for him, I give him strong kudos there, more than I give to Cruz in this regard).

So, you don't like the process, fine. You credit MTG for doing a good thing, but dis Cruz for doing the exact same thing (but from a more legal perspective).

Give me a break.

Ok, smartypants... what legislation can Cruz draw up to do something? Should he make legislation that requires the executive branch to enforce any laws that congress passes (news flash, it already exists).

You're not being realistic. You have a TV drama show version of how government works.

Pepper2 3 points ago +3 / -0

Heres some legislation Ted Cruz can draw up.

"All US politicians must be investigated for ties to known sex and child traffickers. Including Jeffrey Epstein and G Maxwell"

TheMadManDidItAgain 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm glad you said this, it really helps me understand where you are coming from and gives a great opportunity here. I am being very respectful here now, no sarcasm at all. I'm switching to discussion mode here, ok? No animosity, let's have a discussion. No passive aggressive comments or anything, cool?

I think your idea of how this works is not right, and I'll give you 2 reasons why I feel you are misdirecting your anger to the wrong person.

  1. The US does not investigate a person, they investigate a crime. If the law you suggest was drafted, Cruz would be annihilated and it would end his career for targeting people, and even if it passed, it would be killed by SCOTUS for targeting an individual. This is a Stalinist idea. Beria (one of Stalin's secret police chiefs) used to say he could find anybody guilty of a crime, "Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime." Constitutionally, this directly violates due process protections, granted under the 5th and 14th Amendments. I'm not attacking you here, just letting you know that this would be a Stalinist idea and anti-American, and would be unconstitutional. Do you really believe this is a good idea? I feel this idea would be so badly abused. I don't want to derail this conversation, but I feel the Pelosi Jan6 commission is doing this very thing. I'll leave that as my opinion, I'm sure it can be challenged, but that's not my intention.

  2. Maxwell was found guilty of federal crimes of child sex trafficking. So, we know the crime. It was investigated. This investigation led to Epstein and Maxwell. There was a trial and people were found guilty of these FEDERAL crimes. This was all done using due process. However, further investigation should have discovered a client list (does this exist? I have no idea). Because these are federal crimes, this falls under the jurisdiction of the FBI to investigate this. If they have the client list, they know the crime and it lead to the list of clients. They would only be investigating these people after they have been discovered to be associated to the crime using properly collected evidence, and that client list was discovered (legally). We know the crime was committed, and the list would indicate by whom. If there is a list, then the FBI has this list. It is up to them to do something about it. And this falls under the executive branch. We have separation of powers that makes this fall under the executive branch and not the legislative branch. If the executive branch fails to carry out the already existing laws, then that's a different issue (it escapes me right now which violation this is...). I do feel that Biden should be impeached for failing to enforce existing laws regarding immigration, and for using the FBI to target political enemies. Ignoring this list (if it was directed to be ignored by the top) would be another reason he could be impeached if it was his directive.

So, this is what you're not getting, my friend... These laws already exist. The departments to investigate this and enforce it already exist. It's all in place. Let me repeat it differently. Everything is in place for the executive branch to do exactly what you want, there are no extra laws that need passed to get every last one of the people on the client list. Passing a second law that does the exact same thing does nothing other than create more legal grey areas.

If you want to be pissed, you are directing it at the wrong person. This is all the FBI and the executive branch, IE, Biden. Be mad at Biden for failing to push to have this investigated... not Cruz. Hate on Cruz for other issues, that's fine... but this isn't one he has control over. The best he can do is try to rally enough people make this a national issue where the people demand an answer. And this is where the MSM should help, but instead, the MSM is ignoring this story.

Do you see now how Obama weaponized the FBI, and why this unofficial "4th branch of government" (ie, administrative branch, unelected bureaucrats, and media) has been thoroughly corrupted by the Obama administration as is proved by them actually spying on Trump (including while he was in office), and why these alphabet agencies were able to attack Trump as hard as they did? And why the media was so very hostile toward Trump? They went rogue. They are no longer unbiased and have been politicized with Obama's Administration, they ignore crimes done by the left, and send 25 agents to investigate a rope on a garage door... the FBI is a rogue, political agency now.

So... I ask you... am I still retarded? I think I provided an incredibly sound reason why, one based on history, the Constitution, and facts.

Pepper2 1 point ago +1 / -0

Here's what you aren't getting,

Obama weaponize the FBI, yes. Trump and the Republicans did nothing to reverse this.

Trump was impeached twice, over nothing. Trump and the Republicans did nothing about it.

The election was questionable, Ted Cruz pushed the delegates through because of the Jan 6th set up and he wanted to look like a good boy.

Bidens whole family is a pit of corruption and dragging us into a world conflict due to his Ukraine ties. Republicans do nothing to investigate or impeach. Cruz votes to give them bribe money.

The government investigates people all the time for government positions/clearances in the absence of a crime.

The Democrats weaponize the government at every opportunity, pushing the very bounds of the laws to achieve their objective. Republicans need to do the same to root out the corruption. They never ever ever ever ever do anything with the power they are granted.

Ted Cruz does nothing because he is RINO, all talk, dandy faggot. He belongs in a classroom not in this fight for the existence of the country. You don't fucking get it. You are trying to operate by a law book that hasn't been used in a century.

TheMadManDidItAgain 1 point ago +1 / -0

Trump was impeached twice, over nothing. Trump and the Republicans did nothing about it.

FBI went rogue.

Ted Cruz pushed the delegates through...

Ted Cruz literally set up a group of 11 senators to specifically fight this. Even after Jan6 happened, he was one of only 2 people who still tried to get the election certification postponed 10 days to address discrepancies. Cruz did this, I think Hawley was the other guy who stood by Cruz's side. The other 9 senators all flipped. Cruz was one of the only senators fighting it!

Cruz votes to give them bribe money

Ok, fine, you disagree with that. I'm not a fan of it either... he gave his reasons, which like them or not, make sense (whether you agree with them or not, they at least make sense).

The government investigates people all the time

Speculation. If/when it happens, it's wrong. There's almost always a crime done first that causes a person to get investigated. You have some point if you bring up the Patriots Act and the abuses of that... but generally, the crime is done first, or the threat of the crime is done.

Democrats weaponize the government... Republicans need to do the same...

Sorry, I disagree. Republicans need to, instead, call out the weaponization. Republicans are weak, they can't fight.

Ted Cruz does nothing because he is RINO...

Meh... you are too emotionally attached. And you have a hard time when somebody challenges your ideas. Fine.

I get it, you hate Cruz... but you hate him for the wrong reasons. I mean, you could direct your anger at Pelosi, but instead, you direct it at Cruz. To me, that makes you much more of a Pelosi ally than a Conservative ally because quite frankly, you are doing exactly what the leftists and Pelosi do, they attack Ted Cruz... you are locked arms with the democrats regarding this.

Cozette 0 points ago +1 / -1

How about Mr Constitutional Conservative Harvard lawyer focusing on the political prisoners being held in the DC gulag? He won't of course because he is Mc Connells lackey. Whenever Mitch needs to run a divide and conquer op on MAGA to defeat Trump, Mitch sends pied piper Ted.

Examples? 2017 Alabama primary. Ted backed Judge Roy Moore. Then dumped Moore so the Dem won. 2022 OH primary Ted backed Mandel. 2022 PA Ted backed Swamp Monster Mc Cormick.

Notice a pattern? Teds always backing Mitch's guy rather than Trumps. And yes, Mitch wanted Judge Moore to beat Trumps guy and yes, Mitch wanted the Dems to pick up the Senate seat in the general.

Trumps AL loss in his first primary battle, then the Republicans loss of a Senate seat in the general, put the squeeze on Trump by diminishing DCs fear of his base and by increasing Mitchs power. And the power of uber sneks like Romney, Collins and Murkowski.

TheMadManDidItAgain 1 point ago +1 / -0

So, your examples are because Ted wasn't endorsing every single person Trump wanted? Ted endorses a lot of people... some are in alignment with Trump, some are not. Damn... Demanding 100% purity and alignment of ideas does not help. You should focus your anger on democrats. Pelosi, Nadler, Adam Schiff... these are the real enemies. Instead, you are fighting their fight for them. You are in lockstep with the insane left by attacking Ted Cruz. You're just helping the left... Fine. Attack Ted Cruz for not being in alignment... but know that every time you do, you're helping out the democrats and the commie/Marxist left.

The left never attack their own except for Manchin, they are going hard against him. That is an exception because Manchin seems to be the only person right now saving us from total collapse... and just barely. We are one Romney vote away...

He gave up 40 billion points this week, so the one point you give him doesn’t make much of a difference.

MagaMagaChooChoo 19 points ago +19 / -0

Still a 0. Tweets aren’t laws, Cruz.

One_Nation 9 points ago +9 / -0

Cruz knows most conservatives are faggots easily swayed by tweets as action and won't care about his globalist voting record.

He made a nice soundbite.

MagaMagaChooChoo 4 points ago +4 / -0

I don’t know about that. I just take him at his word (17 times) that he thinks his voters are all terrorists,

TheMadManDidItAgain -4 points ago +1 / -5

Then it should be easy to provide a link to one of these 17 times where he said "my voters are all terrorists."

I'll wait here. Make sure you look through CNN, Mother Jones, Salon, and Vibe, they'll help you with your leftists talking point. If you can't find it, just go to reddit, they'll certainly find you something to try to back up your point.

MagaMagaChooChoo 5 points ago +5 / -0

As much as I hate CNN, they actually put all 17 incidents in one place, so here: https://archive.ph/2022.01.08-094135/https://www.cnn.com/2022/01/07/politics/fact-check-ted-cruz-capitol-terrorist-attack/index.html

By the way, you are exactly the kind of rube the neocons love. You’re unquestioning, absolutely ignorant, and aggressive. The amount of extra chromosomes you have to have to call me a liberal because of Ted Cruz’s words is off the charts. I hope they don’t let you outside without a helmet, buddy.

TheMadManDidItAgain -4 points ago +1 / -5

It's no surprise you put words in Cruz's mouth. I mean, I never called you a liberal, yet here you are accusing me of saying something I didn't say. This is exactly the thing you are accusing Cruz of doing... you are doing it. LOL!

Then, as predicted, you site a CNN page which clearly is a propaganda site. They don't provide context, they provide 'all you need to know' about what Cruz has said, which are small sound-bytes, or phrases, or one sentence. Seriously, this is low energy and lacking intelligence. We need to be better...

Kudos for CNN actually referencing him acknowledging him being sloppy with his wording. And Cruz has come out and said that multiple times what he meant. But, heck, CNN said that nobody should believe Ted Cruz, and... well, here we are. You are siding with CNN, while also calling me names. Can't you see that CNN puts out hit pieces like this to cause the Trump base and Conservatives to argue with each other? It's so fucking obvious, and you have fallen for it 100%.

Be better.

Cozette 1 point ago +1 / -0

Simping for Lyin' Ted? Calling out the dangers of dividing Trumps base when that's the very job pied piper Ted has ALWAYS done for his boss, Mitch?

I don't hate Ted for being a snek. I just hate to see people who seem unaware that Ted is a snek.

Lyin Ted voted for the Ukraine bailout.

UndercoverSpez 7 points ago +7 / -0

Why? Anything he should lose a point.

It's one thing if someone like you or me agree with this. We can't do anything about it.

Cruz is a senator, he agrees that they are getting away with it and continues to do nothing about it when he can.

TheMadManDidItAgain 2 points ago +2 / -0

He cannot do what you think he can do... he's a legislator. He can draw up legislation, but he cannot enforce it. And no legislation needs drawn up. Enforce the laws we already have, and that's under the executive branch, not legislative.

If it was something important like keeping the NSA around he sure does find the capacity to do more
