Saw an actual tv production of foragers on pbs. It was a series. What they could find might make a small salad for one person. The ‘chef’ had difficulty cooking them to make them edible. What a joke.
Dandelions were very much part of the diet when this country was being built. Granted, they weren't eating greens for the protein, but dismissing actual health food as weeds is some flatlander bullshit.
To be fair, Dandelions are quite edible for humans.
be careful where you get them, "weeds" often get sprayed with herbicides.
And dog piss
And me piss
I have a female friend at work that makes dandelion jelly. It tastes a lot like honey, which makes sense...
Probably bc it's 99% sugar water lol
Dandy lion root is a medicine
Yeah, but like bugs there's a reason we don't find them at the grocery store.
You can def get dandelion greens in many grocery stores. They’re delicious.
You'd be surprised.
That’s what my food eats.
you will be the new food and be happy
HAHAHAHAHAH!!! I can just imagine this absolute idiot "foraging" for these goodies by the side of a really busy road.
All the dogs in the neighborhood go there to piss.
After the lawn service sprays it with insecticide and herbicide.
Looks delicious…does he mix in the Irish Spring?
Probably, antifa trash. Everyone knows Lifebuoy is the way to go for salads.
They changed it. Now it's Lifeboi.
Leafboi
watch what happens when he forages for mushrooms ...
Well, at least he won't get scurvy.
I hope there’s some nettles in there…
Pretty sure you'd expend more calories eating that than you'd take in, lmao.
Ditch Salad
I have a bunch of these in my yard. I just cut them down with the mower. I guess it's good to know in case of emergency lol.
Dandelions are a sign of compacted soil. Their deep roots loosen it. They also bring calcium up from deep in the soil to feed the top layer...or you.

There's nothing wrong with eating dandelion greens if that's what you like. Just make sure they are sourced in an area where they aren't sprayed.
Lol, it's a trick
Let them eat their fucking weeds.
Less nutritional and less protein.
Good. I'll have an easier time snapping their thin, weak boned necks.

Reminds me, need to thaw a steak...
Looks like Tide Pods and Irish Spring are on the menu, too.
They're dandelion greens and you can eat them.
