Just wait until a Kinectic war starts when the West starts fucking with BRICS. You'll see the WEF ruled countries shitting bricks and you'll see so many oil wells being drilled your eyeballs will fallout. The leaders of the West are fucking morons to do this to their nations. None of this was necessary. I hope they all lose their fortunes.

The potato is singlehandedly through gross incompetence arming up the USSR equivalence from a trade war perspective. Argentina is credibly joining BRICS as is Iran. BRICS will have over 40% of the worlds population even without them.

Our fucking "elites" traded meaningless paper for cheap goods made by Chinese slaves. But those "chinamen" are so stuuupid, they'll never do anything with those sheets of paper. Oh right the bought Africa, and have started to buy Latin America and South America. If war does break out, we won't have access to natural resources we need to fight. The WEF fuckers needs to be rounded up and gassed, the entire lot of em are rotten.

War_Hamster 1 point ago +6 / -5

Iran and Argentina cannot join BRICS because there is no such entity to join.

It was a mutual fund marketing plan. There is no organization known as BRICS.

War_Hamster 1 point ago +3 / -2

The economy has often outperformed me expectations, but it's possible I underestimate the impact of limitless money printing.

4
War_Hamster 4 points ago +7 / -3

People keep talking like BRICS is an actual entity that works in coordination.

It is not. It was an idea some economist came up with in 2001 that some Goldman Sachs marketing genius decided to push to promote mutual funds. Those funds were closed in 2015 after losing 88%.

The term is pretty much dead with real economists these days but it seems to have made a comeback in our corner of the internet. This needs to change, because it is suggesting something that just isn't so.

0
VoidWanderer 0 points ago +3 / -3

Seems like yet another "q" style nonsense phrase being pushed by the same people hoping no one notices them doing it again.

2
War_Hamster 2 points ago +4 / -2

I think it's more innocent than that, but I get where you're coming from.

Someone has tried to shape a storyline and distorts actual things to have more meaning so it fits that narrative. This leads to those who aren't expert in a field to find it plausible and repeat the falsehood. And this is how urban legends are born.

Edit to add: There was a Tweet claiming Iran and Argentina had formally applied for membership to BRICS that went pretty viral yesterday. I debunked that one everywhere I could.

4
HoffmeisterD 4 points ago +4 / -0

BRICS is a recent pseudo-alliance and they've absolutely held summits and work together strategically to counter the West. As seen in the article linked, Argentina is working towards a formal application, so while not official, it's getting close to that point. Have you not actually looked up BRICS since the Goldman Sachs coining of the term or do you believe it's all "fake news?" Lmao c'mon now we're better than this.

Want a spoiler? Every nation in history that fell had the means to end it, but didn't. They let the slow burn happen. We will not be any different. The evidence is lack of action since our election was stolen.

19
MythArcana [S] 19 points ago +19 / -0

Pelosi wanting Capitol police in Florida and California was very telling to me. They know what might come if they keep this up.

13

Your “spoiler” is common sense.

It’s like always finding something in the last place you look for it. Well duh, because if you keep looking for it after you found it, then you’re an idiot.

Now tell us about the countries who looked like they would fall, then didn’t. So far you’ve just mentioned the ones that did.

9
PleaseFaceWall 9 points ago +10 / -1

7

I can think of several nations that fell by other means, but your point is well taken.

I'd say some action has been taken, as evidenced by grass roots organizing popping up all over the country, and I'm glad that things haven't gotten kinetic yet. That said, there is a very real possibility that this situation may need to change to get this nation back.

I agree zelensky is so brave and strong. He totally is of the same blood of his fellow Ukraine men he forces to ethnically cleanse Ukraine's deplorable parts. The fact that he allowed his fellow elves and African indentured servants to leave along with the wives of said Ukraine man forced to fight, is so progressive. I don't care if I have to pay $20/g for 87 octane gas, so long as zelensky can do photoshoots with American celebrities, I don't care. Let zelensky eat cake, Americans need to learn to eat bugs.

11
Hatehasahomehere 11 points ago +11 / -0

Major food processing plants routinely burn down, and if you say otherwise you're a white supremacist.

2
Barbs 2 points ago +3 / -1

Major

We must have different definitions for this word, because there’s only been one majorly destructive fire, and even then they were back up and running in an alternate location in less than a month. Some of their processing lines were back up within a week.

Hot Pockets, bagged salads, holistic drinks and vegan candy also don’t seem to count as “major” food items either.

Should we be concerned? Possibly. But I wouldn’t worry about it too much. If they take out 40-50 regional meat processors then we may have a problem, but everything else is just blips on the radar because our food industry is so massive.

1
Hatehasahomehere 1 point ago +1 / -0

Adjusted for inflation we have entered the worst depression in the history of the US. Watch out for the layoffs. We have reduced labor participation, we are at 62%. If these people were counted as unemployed, the unemployment rate would be 38%, several points higher than the great depression. In a year or two, I expect that number to hit 50%, which would be an all time low.

1
resoluteAction 1 point ago +1 / -0

What is the difference between a recession or depression ?

9
onomatopoeia 9 points ago +9 / -0

Recession is when GDP growth is negative for two quarters in a row. A Depression is a sustained recession with larger declines in GDP, higher unemployment rates and affect countries on a wider scale. That's where we are headed if numb nuts kiddie sniffer stays in much longer.

7
MythArcana [S] 7 points ago +7 / -0

A recession means people don't want to spend money because it's tight, a depression means people don't have any money because democrats are in charge.

There are probably some experts who will debate what I just said there, but I'm just making things simple. That's my disclaimer. :)

6
ChelseaHubbell 6 points ago +6 / -0

recession is two quarters of consecutive negative gdp

1
RolandDelacroix 1 point ago +1 / -0

They widened it to a couple definitions now. IIRC 3/5 quarters of non consecutive negative growth also counts, and there's some more arcane definitions as well.

4
FireannDireach 4 points ago +4 / -0

When your neighbor loses their job, it’s a recession. When you lose your job, that’s a depression.

Both are economic downturns. Depressions are just deeper and last longer, and have far worse impact.

1
RolandDelacroix 1 point ago +1 / -0

A few pedes here have good definitions, another way to think is, a recession is when most businesses downsize by firing the least valuable and reorganizing assets and structures, eventually becoming more streamlined and profitable and pulling out of recession. Something like a V shaped recession may actually be good in the long run. A depression is when businesses completely restructure every aspect to survive in a much slower economy, and the business environment fundamentally changes everywhere, requiring a much longer and deliberate period to survive and eventually prosper. This is like when you lose a Save game and have to go back to your much earlier ones, a severe setback.

4
Immafancyboy 4 points ago +4 / -0

That’s actually more like -11% because we should have at least created the illusion of some growth with all the extra money in the money supply.

1
WisestGuru93 1 point ago +2 / -1

I have a question on this. If inflation is lets say 10%, which means everything is 10% more costly... Wouldnt a 0 on GDP growth means that we produces about 10% less but after the price increase, the GDP stayed the same?

Sounds to me like a bad recession coming along.

1
123breadman 1 point ago +1 / -0

Recessions are part of the business cycle. If GDP kept going up so would Inflation. If GDP goes down so will inflation. The only way GDP could go up with Inflation going down is if there was major economic growth.

As long as money isn't being spent as it is now, inflation should go down.
