I was in the Corps with a dude who was 6'7" and looked like he could bench a buick. He was born really early and given a 10% chance of survival. One of the kindest people I've ever known, and a very devout Christian.
My youngest was born 2 months early with his intestines outside of his body and missing half of his small intestine. Given less than a 10% chance of survival, he spent 4 1/2 months in the NICU and was sent home "to meet the family". They gave him less than a year to live. He is now 18 years old and we are having a party this weekend to celebrate his HS graduation. God answers prayers. Never give up. (And besides needing to take some vitamin supplements, he lives a totally normal life).
That’s awesome, quite the journey you went on with him. I bet it’s awesome to see him making the most of life now. Our food is so crappy now vitamin supplements are pretty normal too!
Me too! I weighed 2 lbs 10 oz. 2 months early, Mom had preeclampsia. Had a rough first few months but I made up for it (or God made a way, more precisely(
I was a tiny yellow guy myself (born jaundiced)
Me too. I was very impatient and decided to pop out a month early. Lucy Lights FTW!
In the 80s they told my mom to put me in the sun. I still get yellow oddly enough
Check to see if you have thalassemia.
I was a month late. 1978
A MONTH? Your mom is a saint.
How poetic.
My mother smoked when she was pregnant with me. '78
I was a small guy at 7 months at well.
Today I am not small, so there is always hope and some cautionary tale.

Tyson Fury was born 3 months early weighing 1 pound and he’s now the heavyweight champ, you never know what a little one is capable of.
He’s a devout Christian too. https://youtube.com/shorts/L2_oghGESuI?feature=share

That was in ‘74. A month prior some new drug to force underdeveloped lungs to work was introduced. Miracle of timing.
Taking your Simpsons role playing a little too seriously? :D
