CNN Commie News Network does not belong on this soil.

Most prosperous times in human history for the most people, and they had their private jets and multiple mansions.

But no. They aren't content unless we're all grovelling in the dirt eating bugs, while they still have private jets and multiple mansions.

Evil bastards.

In many parts of the country no AC can mean heat stroke and death.

I’ve seen this one.

Name checks out (and goes on tour!)

33
Electricutie 33 points ago +33 / -0

"HEAT KILLED TENS OF THOUSANDS OF CATTLE ON ITS OWN"

"Humans are entitled babies, no one needs AC"

4
yeldarb1983 4 points ago +4 / -0

...if you're talking about that story from a few months ago, technically it wasn't just the heat, but literally the humidity making things worse, lmao

12
CrimsonClown 12 points ago +12 / -0

If I recall correctly, AC units also dehumidify the air, right? In that case, it would still apply.

4
yeldarb1983 4 points ago +4 / -0

Just to clarify, I agree with the main premise that this argument about a/c from the transformation secretary is bull shit, I'm just sperging over the nitty gritty details, lmao

4
CrimsonClown 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's cool, no need to worry. I appreciate sharing the information, it's always cool to learn something.

2
yeldarb1983 2 points ago +2 / -0

Okay 😊👌

3
yeldarb1983 3 points ago +3 / -0

They're is that, lol

Although it also depends on the type of a/c

Refrigerant a/c works that way, more or less, but there's also evaporative cooling, which does the exact opposite, making the air more humid, lol.

2
CrimsonClown 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ah, I have always seen evaporative cooling units differently from ACs since they use opposite methods. Was always told they were called "swamp coolers" but never questioned it.

2
yeldarb1983 2 points ago +2 / -0

Come to think of it, you get some of that "cooling towel"fabric and a cheap fan, you could probably fashion a primitive evaporative cooler, lol.

Or just buy a brick and some pc fans, lol

1
yeldarb1983 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's another name for them yes lol

1
Rosarian 1 point ago +1 / -0

Swamp coolers are only for very dry areas like El Paso, and not suitable for humid areas like Houston.

2
roadrunner0 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ranchers could setup sprinkler chutes like they have on dairy farms.. The cows/cattle will walk thru them like a moo parade on hot days to cool off plus it helps to keep them cleaner and deter flies.. Having adequate drinking water and mineral blocks most people would think to be important when it comes to protecting such an investment.. Almost seems like these ranchers did this on purpose..

I wonder if the ruling class will continue using air conditioning?

24
MarcusAurelius 24 points ago +24 / -0

They'll give it up as soon as they give up their private jets to go to Davos, so they can remind us that we all need to eat bugs for mother earth.

14

Take a walk into CNN's offices and I guarantee it'll be a comfortable 70 degrees throughout.

I don’t even want chilly temperatures in summer. I just want 75, or whatever temp it takes to not be drenched in sweat. You can pry air conditioning out of my cold dead hands

8
fskfsk 8 points ago +10 / -2

I usually turn my AC on when the indoor temperature gets to 88F.

31
JCox 31 points ago +31 / -0

Fuck that

7
ThePastDays 7 points ago +7 / -0

Depends on humidity. I've lived really hot climates and if humidity is crazy low you don't feel as much heat. 100 can feel like 80 in the shade.

4
Pissed_American 4 points ago +4 / -0

That's how reptiles live

7
Ebbie8708 7 points ago +7 / -0

When I lived in AZ, 80 was the standard for home A/C.

7
lixa 7 points ago +7 / -0

It prob still runs a lot of the time, so it feels cooler. IME. There’s only such a differential you an achieve with the outside temp. Which is totally fine. We’re supposed to be comfortable!

2
LibertarianXian 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's a dry heat over there!

2
fskfsk 2 points ago +2 / -0

Everyone feels comfortable at a different temperature. For me, it's warmer than most people, which is fine in the summer but can be annoying in the winter. I noticed that "I start feeling hot and sweaty" correlates to when the indoor thermometer is 86F or 88F, so that's when I turn the AC on.

2
WhyIsThisSOHard 2 points ago +2 / -0

Athena86 -1 points ago +3 / -4

No way. When it’s 88 with 80% humidity it’s like breathing in a sauna. The air is literally wet. No way in hell.

Running the AC in my apartment on the dehumidifier setting is usually enough for most days.

27
fluffykitten 27 points ago +27 / -0

Obviously, air conditioning is racist because we associate cold temperatures with snow which is white.

15
DCdeplorable 15 points ago +15 / -0

Or more directly, black people hate the cold way more than whites. Knew a guy who wore a hoodie at my place because I kept it at 70

29
tiburon97 29 points ago +29 / -0

I know one black person who went out in sub-zero temperatures because nothing was going to stop him from getting a sandwich at Subway. Ended up getting jumped by two Trump supporters who poured bleach on him and shouted "This is MAGA country!" Even put a noose around his neck.

4

7

Much of the United States would be uninhabitable without air conditioning. There is a reason that prior to its invention the majority of Americans lived above the Mason Dixon line and afterwards started migrating South.

15
current_horror 15 points ago +15 / -0

The globalist plan has always been deindustrialization and depopulation for the middle class. The elites want to redistribute our quality of life to the rest of the world, turning us all into modern serfs who own nothing, live in pods, eat bugs, and have no families. No culture, no nations, no identity but for membership in the death cult of radical leftist progressivism.

What can men do against such evil?

Aragorn: …

4
TrumpAndGodWin 4 points ago +4 / -0

And Stalin said that installing a central bank was 90% of getting a communist takeover, and with the upcoming fed digital currency they can erase your money, prevent you from spending it on certain things, etc. A good family is a natural vaccine against govt propaganda.

5

2
RedTX 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yup…reminds me of the fuckers in NYC bitching about “too many illegals here will make life unbearable…”

Until they experience it firsthand, those people will never learn.

Also, piss on that asswipe for calling a/c “self-indulgent” What a dunce.

13
SpellingContable 13 points ago +13 / -0

Journalists are the evil who promote living hell.

2
TrumpAndGodWin 2 points ago +2 / -0

Earth sheltered homes can save 90% on a/c costs. Alex Jones was right again, remember Obama telling Africans they can't have ac, and they want smart thermostats in your home they can force 82F on.

1
RedTX 1 point ago +1 / -0

“Journalists”

Air quotes added for emphasis. Those people need to do some real, back-breaking work, instead of running their mouths and parroting off the communist propaganda and talking points.

12
AOCDickPics 12 points ago +12 / -0

I've had my AC go out during the summer several times. It's gone up to 90 inside, and never cooled off at night.

You could survive, but you'd no longer be productive.

11
Zelenskyscockholster 11 points ago +11 / -0

Give up your air conditioning!

But hobos need free smartphones made by Chinese child slaves with access to free social media. These are necessities. Can't give up the free indoctrination machines.

Their virtue signaling is obviously for a reason. They pretend to be humanitarians only when the policy supports them.

10
slimcoat 10 points ago +10 / -0

Aren't they simultaneously telling us that thousands, maybe even tens of thousands, are dropping dead from heat waves all around the world?

10
Pence_Brigade 10 points ago +10 / -0

Once you’re used to the air conditioner you never go back. Try sleeping at night when it’s 88 degrees. I know I cant

10
Shalomtoyou 10 points ago +10 / -0

I remember when the power went out from a late Spring Break snowstorm when I was in college. Me and some unfortunates who stayed on campus had some issues.

In the aftermath, I remember my dorm room without power was FREEZING. I went outside... and it was warm Spring.

Modern buildings are constructed with our electric or gas heat and A/C taken into account. Remove those, and the buildings were unlivable.

Prior to modern room temperature systems, they did other tricks with construction. Have windows on both sides of the building to make a nice wind tunnel to cool things down, for instance. Or a fireplace in each room. We don't do that anymore, because we have A/C.

9
Rosarian 9 points ago +9 / -0

What's next? No refrigeration either?

9

7
try4gain 7 points ago +7 / -0

Ok guys this is for real : I tried this once. Do you know what happened? My laptop died. I was trying to get use to warm weather. AC off door open. Laptop couldnt handle the heat and died within a month or so. So yes if you want your laptop, and TV to die early - turn off your AC.

7
Hatehasahomehere 7 points ago +7 / -0

These people need to be dragged through the streets like gadaffi

7
AbsoluteChad 7 points ago +7 / -0

They can tell me where to set my AC when they pay my power bill. Until then they can eat a dick.

7
independentbystander 7 points ago +7 / -0

> "dangerous infatuation with air conditioning."

> "Those evil wipipo and their (checks list of accomplishments of technology) AIR CONDITIONING reeeeeee"

People die in hot weather with no air conditioning, especially elderly people. Not that the Tolerant Left cares about elderly people, next we will see them demand "no air conditioning mandates" for nursing homes.

7
ManlyFirmness 7 points ago +7 / -0

I agree. Take air conditioning, television, media, and internet away from the people for six months.

It’s the only thing preventing total revolution and the wholesale slaughter of tyrants.

Please do it. We have to save the electricity.

6
Retard_Strength 6 points ago +6 / -0

add air conditioning to the list of things 'dangerous to our democracy'

i only ever set it to 'chilly' if i'm in a hotel room and i'm not (directly) paying for it

6
Juice 6 points ago +6 / -0

Who here honestly thinks the CNN offices aren't air-conditioned??

6
fazaman 6 points ago +6 / -0

Aren't these the same people that are saying that people are dying in Canada and Great Britain because it's so hot and those people don't normally have A/C?

5
Trumpwon556 5 points ago +7 / -2

It makes sense that commies always dealt with academics and journalists first when they took over.

5
NoComment 5 points ago +5 / -0

Ok, let’s also abolish all kinds of refrigeration and just go back to curing and pickling.

5
RussianBot6969 5 points ago +5 / -0

Our overlords hate the level of luxury that modern life (thanks to things like fossil fuels, automobiles, property ownership, etc., all supported and protected by a rigorously enforced rule of law) has provided people who live in the developed world.

They seek to reduce us to serfdom. Half of America welcomes this, apparently believing (falsely) that they will be among the chosen who get to keep their nice things. Most of the rest of the country is in denial about what's happening.

They hate you and your way of life.

4
Hades440 4 points ago +4 / -0

I think Buttigieg missed the point. If charging electric cars will use 4x more electricity than something that is already overworking grids in parts of the country, then electric cars are unsustainable, but all he hears is, "air conditioning" intermixed with Charlie Brown trumpet noises.

TehAgent 3 points ago +3 / -0

Fuck that noise. We can make plenty of affordable energy for centuries into the future if people weren't so insistent on being stupid. If we cripple our innovation now we will never discover the new technologies that could open us up to affordable and plentiful renewable energy sources.

1
SuperSilly 1 point ago +1 / -0

If we cripple our innovation now we will never discover the new technologies that could open us up to affordable and plentiful renewable energy sources.

Sorry.... this is exactly what "they" are trying to do. Not to take you too far down the rabbit hole but.... "they" (NWO) can't really keep up with technology. They are actively trying to cripple innovation so that "we" don't discover the new technologies that could open us up to affordable and plentiful renewable energy sources. See the big picture yet? "They" need to speed up our downfall... If they don't, they run the risk of us being too smart.... hence, the dumbing down of our children.

2
Fullstackweebdev 2 points ago +2 / -0

As someone who owns an electric car, we are not ready for a mass of them. Here in the UK it's hard to find a working one on long journeys, and if you do it's usually one or two in a services (unless you own a Tesla). Our infrastructure is not ready, we don't have the electricity or the charging points, and that hasn't improved in nearly 7 years now.

Just like green energy, it sounds great on paper but it's not working as they promote it. We need nuclear energy and much better/cheaper batteries before we can move to electric cars en masse. The current push only benefits the elites and they know it. I love my car and like electric for the acceleration, but I don't ever recommend one for anybody making less than £45k a year, and even then only if they do short journeys (and get a home charge point, which is much cheaper)

2
TehAgent 2 points ago +2 / -0

The price of electricity will also rise as demand rises.

2
Fullstackweebdev 2 points ago +2 / -0

Already has, my electricity bills have more than doubled in the past 6 months. Seen people go from £70 a month to over £300 per month, complete madness
