This will have the opposite of the desired effect on all counts.

The middle class will get reamed, not the wealthy

Inflation will increase

Climate will not be improved

Healthcare will become more dysfunctional as the money will come with leftist strings.

80960KA 157 points ago +158 / -1

Climate will not be improved

Well yeah because the whole climate crisis is fictional...

78
bangbus 78 points ago +78 / -0

Assuming, arguendo, that everything leftists say is true, tackling “climate change” without a material and enforceable commitment from China and India is completely nonsensical. Spoiler alert - that commitment ain’t coming.

48

If China and India don't correct their pollution, this shit is all moot

42

But we can slow it down some if you pay more taxes and eat bugs. 🤤

4
magalee 4 points ago +4 / -0

These globalist/WEF fucks can lead by example by paying their fair fucking share of taxes and eating the yummy bugs.

2
Side-o-Beef_Curtains 2 points ago +3 / -1

They can lead by example by reducing their own carbon footprint to zero. Rope is cheap.

0
Side-o-Beef_Curtains 0 points ago +1 / -1

But pay those taxes to Al Gore's firm and the WEF.

34
Block_Helen 34 points ago +34 / -0

They don't care. The entire point is to cripple western economies and enrich the elite.

3
RStroud 3 points ago +3 / -0

I don't think it is about being more rich. The joy of the puppeteer is pulling the strings. It is about raw power and control, and subverting the good. They delight in watching you suffer, hearing you grovel or praise degeneracy, and putting absurd lies in your mouth. They're not merely greedy, they're possessed by the spirit of Mammon.

1
Block_Helen 1 point ago +1 / -0

You're right. It's far more about power and control than it is about money. They do use money as a way to loop in the folks who don't care as much about power, though. That's how fascism works. The business world isn't particularly interested in raw power or even politics, but it is interested in profit, and so it allows itself to be subsumed into the power apparatus.

20
GaslighterInChief 20 points ago +20 / -0

The point is to LET them catch up.

The point is to MAKE America and Europe uncompetitive.

And let me guess, there will be more 'invested' (read: spent) by Congress, than brought in by these taxes. In other words, it is a deficit spending bill, that WILL raise the cost of doing business, and increase inflation!

4
CrispyQuesoSalami 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yep. WEF stated goal is to create a MULTI-polar world, meaning no more 1 or 2 super-powers.

4
GaslighterInChief 4 points ago +4 / -0

I don't really buy that. Elite's goal for at least 150+ years has been one world government. The window dressing is probably up for debate, though.

1
CrispyQuesoSalami 1 point ago +1 / -0

I agree that is their end goal.

But that's easier to accomplish when you have parity amongst parties though no? That way no one "power" can impose their will on another or has any advantage so great over the other. All incentive would point toward compliance since resistance would be pretty futile since the other powers would simply just gang up on the trouble maker. Like EU vs Hungary etc. Or how the EU is hard balling the UK for Brexit.

You keep grouping nation states into larger, more interconnected, interdependent "Unions" (EU, NAFTA/USMCA etc). Then through those unions you melt the remaining sovereignty of the original nation-states. You mish-mash populations, you force compliance of uniform laws and economic standards.

Then you repeat larger and larger until you have the one gov't which has ultimately been steering the entire evolution from the beginning.

We have the tech for clean and reliable energy right now, it’s called nuclear. We could attain energy independence and usher in a new age for humanity. But we remain apes.

22
80960KA 22 points ago +22 / -0

I think the Big Con of the climate agenda is "they" know we have the tech right now to make energy plentiful and cheap, so they push expensive and unreliable greenshit while still basically running on hydrocarbon products (that can be metered out) like always.

They'd much rather have energy be perceived to be rare and expensive, with lots of middlemen taking their cuts.

9
GaslighterInChief 9 points ago +9 / -0

The last 20 years should have been spent investing everything we got into molten salt nuclear tech. But no....

6
Gadsden 6 points ago +6 / -0

Nuclear would make us less reliant in every way.... Which the globalist most certainly do not want.

2
AVeryNakedMan 2 points ago +5 / -3

Although I think nuclear energy is cool, and definitely a very long term solution once fossil fuels run out, there's no need to invest in nuclear today when coal and natural gas are so abundant and the negative effects of atmospheric CO2 are entirely fictional.

10
Ghostberserker69 10 points ago +10 / -0

Oil is not a "fossil fuel" and we have enough for hundreds of years. Nuclear power should be the future, but they aren't planning for us to have a future. They want us dead, we are useless eaters to the kid fuckers.

3
potbelliedgoblino 3 points ago +3 / -0

Stay stagnant until a foundational issue - energy production - has its hands around our neck, or innovate and unlock a paradigm shift for humanity.

3
popcycle 3 points ago +3 / -0

plus, oil and coal have feedstock uses beyond just burning them for energy, this used to be a pretty major consideration. and nuclear energy lets us scale up energy way beyond what we need to run our current civilization, the only thing that does. with a fleet of nuclear rockets, assuming nasa doesn't quietly have such a thing already, we could be mining asteroids and really getting somewhere. it seems like sci fi now, but there was a point when it was not so farfetched, and that point was a shocking number of years ago...

2
diverscale 2 points ago +3 / -1

"fossil fuel" is a scam to make you think it's finite and/or outdated

2
CrispyQuesoSalami 2 points ago +2 / -0

Well we remain slaves because too many of our countrymen like to live like apes, or maybe ostriches is a better comparison. Heads in the sand, seeking only their next instant gratification and dopamine hit.

5
Gadsden 5 points ago +5 / -0

There isn't a plan to tackle the climate, anyway.

Give us money so we can...... Go green.

What does that mean? Nothing, really. Make more batteries, but not more energy tk fill them!

2
AtrueSkizo 2 points ago +3 / -1

What exactly is "climate change"? From what I know it is if the weather changes at all, from rain to sun, to cold to hot. Now this shit happens everyday because the climate changes, because the earth has seasons, its a fucking joke, I hate leftists.

1

Thermometers measure temperature. And the issue here is that the temperature is rising. We're breaking records every year. Perhaps if it's you looking at the thermometer you'll believe it. And don't call me a retard, retard

3

Because Wealthy is defined by income, not assets.

People who need to work, and work hard, and make a good income - are the ones who pay, as a fraction of their net worth.

People who don't need to work, and whose income is a fraction of their assets, pay far far less in their total net worth.

It's a way to keep the middle-class from becoming "rich" (as defined by assets).

2

No, it's legit. Destroying income has t he result of destroying demand. Destroying demand lowers inflation.

Of course, in the midst of all this destruction is the fact that everything ends up being destroyed, but that's working as intended towards the goal of you owning nothing...

1
Pepper2 1 point ago +2 / -1

First, it increases tax "fraud", then maybe demand. Taxes generally aren't paid voluntarily so if the burden increases people and companies generally do some form of restructuring

25
Valensiakol 25 points ago +25 / -0

There is no such thing as "investing" in healthcare and environmentalism. They are both black hole money pits.

The only "investing" that is happening is that these faggots are stealing our money through "taxes" which they then launder to themselves while convincing all the single-brain-cell troglodyte masses that they're doing something good.

Raise taxes on wealthy

Not fair to target a specific group, but, okay.

invest in climate

That will do what, precisely? How does one 'invest in climate'? It turns out natrual forces don't respond to money... Why not invest the money in something that will help say, the looming artificially created energy crisis in regards to petrols, oil, gasoline. Or investing in modern nuclear plants for the energy grid so that in 20 years people can drive newer EVs with much healthier and stronger battery technology...?

Inflation Reduction Act

Oh, it's the 'Patriot Act' thing, opposite day with the names of these 'Acts'. Also investing money to stop inflation isn't what stops inflation I'm pretty sure but I'm no economist.

It would be more accurate to have:

Joe Munchkin Proposes to Fleece Wealthy To Transfer Wealth To Himself & Friends, Might End Up Hurting Economy In The Process

Fiat is pretty silly, also the fact that most people don't understand these relatively basic concepts. I doubt even Joe Munchkin understands. The currency (it ain't money, strictly speaking) is transitory in this case to acquire material and other meaningful assets before it is worthless... Assuming nothing happens to correct course.

This is a nightmare. We already know what will fix this. This was Reagan's exact 4 point plan in 1980:

  • Cut taxes to stimulate economic growth

  • Cut federal spending

  • Eliminate price controls on oil and natural gas

  • Restrict the money supply with higher interest rates

And what happened? Inflation was cut in half one year, and then cut in half AGAIN the next year. And he averaged 3.9% economic growth over his 2 term presidency.

Yet here we are, doing the OPPOSITE. Idiot Potato is literally imposing price controls, increasing spending and raising taxes. If you don't think this is intentional, you're a moron.
