Both in Florida. People need to understand the Electoral College.

“The electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for two persons, of whom one at least shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves.”

43
LURKER-69 43 points ago +45 / -2

Dick Cheney lived in Texas same as GW Bush, when someone pointed this out he scrambled to make it look like he lived in Wyoming.

Trump could do the same thing.

22
COnDEMnED 22 points ago +22 / -0

He could, but you’re playing with fire. Is it worth the gamble of taking Florida completely off the map, assuming voting is even real to begin with?

22
LURKER-69 22 points ago +22 / -0

True, DeSantis is doing great stuff in FL. FL is tied for 3rd I think in electoral votes, with new york and behind CA and TX. If Trump is set on running in 2024, I think DeSantis should run for potus or vp in 2028.

We are closer to losing TX than most people like to believe because of all the cucks and democrats moving to Austin. We gotta keep TX and FL in the red column.

Trump has residences all over, I’m sure there’s a way to work around that.

3
SquiggyMcPepe 3 points ago +3 / -0

True. He moved to florida but to a property he already owned long before he moved and one he spent a lot of time on anyways even when he 'lived' in new york. He has property all over the nation so he can move his mailing address to one of those and poof all done.

No need for that. We want Ron in Fl and want Lindell for VP.

47
LesboPregnancyScare 47 points ago +47 / -0

Desantis would lose his current darling status as VP for 4 years, plus hes not VP material, hes presidential material. If Trump declares his candidacy i hope Desantis can hold on to his darling status for 4 years and run afterwards. No one should want a competition between these two great men.

25
MyDogBlondi 25 points ago +32 / -7

Remember when Desantis went to Tel Aviv to sign a law that criminalized criticism of Israel by Florida state employees?

Going to a foreign capitol to sign laws that violate the First Amendment for the benefit of that foreign state... it feels about as MAGA as a "girl dick" is feminine.

9
LesboPregnancyScare 9 points ago +10 / -1

lol. well they both cater to them, cant get everything you want.

4
MyDogBlondi 4 points ago +4 / -0

2

1

1

1
MyDogBlondi 1 point ago +1 / -0

I refuse to support any more MIGA candidates. I had turned a blind eye in the past, no more.

1
Aambrick 1 point ago +1 / -0

Won't argue against that, but if he can get part of if not a lot it done then it would be a good investment. The best investment, though, is taking everything over locally.

9
Jecovidwitness 9 points ago +9 / -0

Desantis is Presidential material because he literally copies all of trumps mannerisms and positions (I think he’s great, but it’s obvious who his hero is. It’s ok he’s mine too). He couldn’t be anyone else’s VP, but he could be trumps no problem.

3
LesboPregnancyScare 3 points ago +3 / -0

maybe, but VPs get no spotlight time. it would turn him into a nobody, even if he did do notable things.

1
DCdeplorable 1 point ago +2 / -1

It depends on the ticket. Cheney arguably overshadowed Bush in a lot of ways.

I think Trump would like someone reliable to actually offload some work to, unlike that snake Pence. I think they would present a united front, two heads thinking the same way, and all but guarantee 8 years of DeSantis

2
LesboPregnancyScare 2 points ago +2 / -0

but you see what I am saying? Trump so overshadowed Pence that he wasnt in the spotlight enough for anyone to notice he was a snake.

3
DCdeplorable 3 points ago +3 / -0

We noticed. We ALL noticed on this forum (and it's predecessors).

I think the guy who took the longest to noticed was Trump, sadly

3
Silas4Trump1776 3 points ago +3 / -0

Hate to be that guy but I remember the term ‘Silver Fox’ being used quite extensively here before January 6th! Trump wasn’t the only one duped

1
Barbs 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yep. Pence put on a good show of being unified with GEOTUS on all fronts, but immediately caved when he had to finally stand on his own.

He sealed his own fate anyway. He was the heir apparent after President Trump exits politics but now he’s persona non grata, and has no more future in our government.

Good riddance.

1
LesboPregnancyScare 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yep. my two biggest problems with Trump were

  • not knowing who to trust/trusting the wrong people

  • prioritizing the desire to be liked ahead of making certain policy changes

2
DCdeplorable 2 points ago +2 / -0

First point: Trump came from the business world of mostly meritocracy, especially pre-wokeness. He won't make the same mistake again.

Second point is more arguable. Having the mandate of the ppl is important. The difference between getting 80% of what you want over and over, versus fighting for 100% then getting 0% later.

1
Barbs 1 point ago +1 / -0

prioritizing the desire to be liked ahead of making certain policy changes

I’m not sure which reality you’re living in, but please point out all the times he prioritized “being liked” over policy.

This should be fun.

-8
Guruchild -8 points ago +3 / -11

Desantis is only a darling in the minds of people like you. Trump would destroy him in a head on debate. He’s just like all the other false idols you worship and then memory hole later when they are exposed.

1
LesboPregnancyScare 1 point ago +1 / -0

lol. saying i dont want them to go head to head in 2024, or for Desantis to be his VP, and that I want Trump to run means i get venom from you. i dont get it.

5
Guruchild 5 points ago +5 / -0

Desantis will not run in 2024 unless Trump does not. If they both run against each other I will be convinced they are both retarded.

4
LesboPregnancyScare 4 points ago +4 / -0

they wont run against each other. if Trump announces hes running, Desantis wont.

4
DCdeplorable 4 points ago +4 / -0

Trump will run against any and all challengers, and not be retarded.

DeSantis will have to choose whether he wants the base he currently has, or the RINOs. And if he fights Trump for it, we'll know what he chose

1
DonttrustChina 1 point ago +3 / -2

Lol. Dude...in 10-20 years Trump's gonna be dead.

Hate to break it to you, we can't ACTUALLY keep him alive on the golden throne for ten thousand years.

SOMEBODY has to be the leader of the MAGA movement after he's gone, or after he's a doddering 85 year old starting to lose his faculties.

If not DeSantis, who? If fucking nobody is good enough, well then we lose by default.

5
DCdeplorable 5 points ago +5 / -0

No you retard, we're gonna build an AI version of Trump and wheel his corpse around like they did for RBG, and it's gonna actually shoot cuck killing lasers out of its eyes to anyone who refuses to bend the knee for the immortal godking

1
LesboPregnancyScare 1 point ago +1 / -0

no one needs to be the leader, start organizing locally from the ground up. that is the biggest problem with the "MAGA movement" it was all directed from the top down. And the uniparty deposed him.

1

I wish that was the case but DeSantis went to Harvard basically followed Bush Jr's path in life. He's not our savior, only Jesus is.

4
DCdeplorable 4 points ago +4 / -0

For a very similar story, keep an eye on Glenn Youngkin the VA gov. If the Trump DeSantis battle gets too much spotlight they might sneak him in as an alternative

8
MyDogBlondi 8 points ago +8 / -0

If he's elected, without major changes to the voting system for the better... he's been compromised.

4
Bonami 4 points ago +4 / -0

Well there have been changes, are they enough, maybe. But I do see your point.

7
MyDogBlondi 7 points ago +7 / -0

I mean, what percentage of Republicans in Congress will say the 2020 election was stolen? 1%?

The RNC is run by a Romney and a never-Trumper who just pocketed all the stop the steal money.

Thr only way Trump wins is if the swamp lets him. They will not make the same mistake of 2016 twice.

2
DCdeplorable 2 points ago +2 / -0

What percentage of state-level Republicans say it was stolen? States are decertifying. Just because it's all swamp monsters at the top, doesn't mean we the people accept that lie. Like previous comment said, there have been changes, but who knows if they'll be enough.

There's also a theory I hold that they were only able to cheat so hard because they literally had 110% of their base (the extra 10% were our base...) completely convinced that if Trump won wed have WW3, economic meltdown, social collapse, and infinite plagues. Those useful idiots won't be so easily used next time - a few have woken up, and many more died from the clotshot

2
MyDogBlondi 2 points ago +2 / -0

No state has decertified and we're nearly two years on. It's just a fundraiser tactic.

Well, see... I'm not black pilled, but I'm not optimistic in the short term.

1
Barbs 1 point ago +1 / -0

No state has ever decertified before, so we’re in uncharted territory. And it appears that no state wants to be the first either.

Weak leadership sucks. They don’t do a goddam thing that they’re supposed to.

1
MyDogBlondi 1 point ago +1 / -0

The GOP is nothing if not weak.

Again, the RNC is run by a Romney and a never-Trumper who went so far as to set up an anti-Trump superPAC. Any Republican who supports Trump or opposes the Uniparty, will be cut off.

2
Bonami 2 points ago +2 / -0

I respect your point, it certainly is reasonable. Let's see what happens with the midterms, if the work to clean up elections prevails in some states his win could well be legit.

I don't see a coup giving up power under any circumstances, I think they will start a war and cancel elections. I think no matter what we are in for a rough ride.

2
MyDogBlondi 2 points ago +2 / -0

Agreed. There is no happy ending here, the best we can hope for is an ending that hasn't already doomed future generations.

2
Silas4Trump1776 2 points ago +2 / -0

Trump only needs 1 or 2 of the 5 swing states they stole that night to be on their shit for him to win, we must have a enough patriots to watch over some voting booths don’t we? I am sick of the giving up attitude, we got to get involved if you truly care!!!

1
Bonami 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm not giving up at all I just see a rough time ahead.

1
The_Nowhere_Man 1 point ago +1 / -0

Start a war by, say, having China shoot down a drunk old hag that no longer serves a purpose to them?

1
Bonami 1 point ago +1 / -0

Well it would be a first, it has that going for them. On that basis alone they might do it.

They are a pretty jaded bunch and they do have those super cool bunkers to hid in...

6
DonttrustChina 6 points ago +6 / -0

First of all, there's a potential electoral college problem there if they run as a ticket. Second, DeSantis is great where he is. He's already a national name, he doesn't need the Vice Presidency to raise his profile, and the position is essentially useless...or at least, the only use for would be if Trump were running again in 2028, which he can't.

The only real value to either man of a DeSantis Vice Presidency is as an assassination shield for Trump.

DeSantis is best served, and best serves us, completing his second term as governor, and as the de facto leader of Republican governors that he's become, and then immediately launching his 2028 bid with Trump's endorsement.

DeSantis is a very different sort of man than Trump. Trump is not a politician, plays 4D chess and wins by charisma. DeSantis IS a politician and a damn good one, plays regular old 2D chess but plays it like a grandmaster, and wins by winning. He's a policy guy, he needs to be in a role where he's passing policy and modeling future policy for the nation. That plays to his strengths.

4
Tombstone2W 4 points ago +4 / -0

We already know who the deep state is. Everyone in DC. Burn it all down.

2
AJoeDD 2 points ago +2 / -0

Would be nice to see a 2nd Trump term clearing out the swamp and paving the way for glorious DeSantis governance in 2028. Whoever is President next still has a lot of internal issues to deal with. Rinos, bureaucrats, etc. They can do a lot to improve us, but if we have a 2nd MAGA leader in 2028, they'll be in prime position to make huge changes.

VP is a meh job for Desantis. He is doing more good for the country as the governor in Florida. However Desantis as the AG going after the corruption in Washington gets to be a little more interesting. Avoids the whole electoral college problem.

3
TexasFox 3 points ago +3 / -0

DeSantis is not going to be VP. He will take the enchilada in in 2028. For the next 4 he will be building a war cabinet under Trump doing what the OP proposes he do as a VP. Till 2028 he will stay in Florida as governor securing that state and cleaning out the RiNOs that currently infest the state house.

1
cyberrigger 1 point ago +1 / -0

DeSantis would be the best running mate.

We need a built-in backup.

Let them impeach Trump again --- get the picture?

3
ILoveSilk 3 points ago +3 / -0

Prefer trump 8 more years and then DeSantis 8 more years. That is still not enough for us to recover.

3
Monzie 3 points ago +3 / -0

We need Desantis as Governor for the 4 years, not VP. VP is a doodoo position unless and only unless Trump died. Then Desantis should run for Pres. Florida doing well is a yuge red pill to the country, and other states will follow his lead.

3
Keiichi81 3 points ago +3 / -0

No. Florida needs DeSantis for the immediate future. He's practically the only state governor giving serious resistance to the Democrat agenda, and we need that counter-example to show what conservatism could bring to the table while more and more Democrat states turn to shit and tyranny.

It's of no benefit for DeSantis to occupy a do-nothing VP position while Florida turns into a purple state.

I say this as a Trump supporter (I’m here duh) but Trump wasn’t exactly great at identifying who the deep state scumbags are. Many of them were in his cabinet, he endorsed several, and then there’s Mike Pence. If he gets re-elected again he will need to do a better job identifying them himself.

The problem is the 30 second tweets. We don't need to spend an entire election cycle defending comments about space lasers and shit. It is too easy for the media to soundbyte her and make her sound unhinged. Give her 10 years of seasoning and polish, then we can talk.

2
3Always3Victorious3 2 points ago +2 / -0

No way do I support that agenda! No more delays! I support a Trump/Lindell ticket with no prisoners taken! No waiting 4 years for draining the swamp.

Drain the swamp on day one! Eliminate all 3-letter agencies because they are all Unconstitutional!

Make the federal work force a limited time employment force... 6 years maximum. That includes elected and unelected workers. Fire everyone who has been working more than 6 years!

2
SwampDonkey2 2 points ago +2 / -0
