They don't support independence for America, forget Taiwan.

Pentagon bends the knee to the belt and road initiative.

6
BeNotAfraid 6 points ago +7 / -1

'Raise you hand if you're surprised... I'll wait... Ah, I see only retards with raised hands.'

But seriously, you're right the Pentagon bends the knee. Politicians do it because they're blackmailed or bribed. I wonder why the military though? Harder to pay them off I'd have thought.

4

does being surprised it took this long for a statement count?

34
Angryhotdog 34 points ago +34 / -0

But they support Ukraine independence. My question is why are troops not getting hazard pay? Why haven’t they sent troops into Ukraine? Does Biden have control of the military?

28
MythArcana 28 points ago +29 / -1

Biden is trying to fight a proxy war to avoid sending in troops, because Putin will flip out if NATO gets involved directly, and has warned there will be consequences if that happens. So, the plan is to send as much money possible to Ukraine to launder it all over the place, making politicians rich and Americans dirt poor.

Bramage 19 points ago +21 / -2

biden isnt running ANYTHING and stop capitalizing that piece of SHITS name.

13
War_Hamster 13 points ago +13 / -0

And don't forget how successful this whole Russia/Ukraine narrative has been in changing the news cycle from what was destroying the Biden Regime back in February.

Give them credit, it slowed their downward spiral quite a bit.

7
QSWO1 7 points ago +7 / -0

The narrative changed for normies. The last 6 months vindicated those paying attention. Is that in a MSM poll?

4
War_Hamster 4 points ago +4 / -0

I was looking at the slope of the decline in a basket of polls. The timing is pretty easy to see.

Don't know how to share a spreadsheet.

6
FireannDireach 6 points ago +6 / -0

I'm not tapped into the news cycle in any way, is it really a topic of discussion? I don't hear anyone talking about it, at all.

6
War_Hamster 6 points ago +6 / -0

If you go outside in a lot of places, you'll see Ukraine flags. If you go onto mainstream social media, same thing.

They changed the narrative very successfully. We called it at the time, but the RINOs jumped on board along with Fox News, so all of the other failures were forgotten.

When was the last time anyone mentioned Afghanistan? Or the failure of the vaxx? Etc....

4
Fine_Kentucky_Jenkum 4 points ago +4 / -0

Won’t matter. China is developing seaports all over South/Central America and setting up smuggling ops to get radioactive material into the USA. In 5 - 7 years, China and Russia should be invading a weakened US from the north and south.

3
DannyCanusa 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yea, 3 companies- Monsanto and 2 others I don't recall- bought some 117 million hectares of land in Ukraine. Not sure of exact amount. I know it's a massive purchase though.

5
MajorClark 5 points ago +5 / -0

bidens military is antifa, burn loot murder, defund the police, drug cartel, doj, fbi, cia & lgbt. He should send them to Ukraine since they like to fight.

0
Mitch_WerBell_III 0 points ago +1 / -1

So they can get valuable combat experience?

Trump endorsed Ukraine over Russia - may as well offer up volunteers for safe logistics gigs since that’s supposed to be our specialization.

3
Liberals_R_Idiots 3 points ago +3 / -0

Some people say he doesn't have control of the military because devolution has been enacted.

14
Long_time_lurker 14 points ago +14 / -0

Actually we should probably be wondering how much they sold Taiwan out to China for.

17
War_Hamster 17 points ago +18 / -1

The funny part is that the US strongly supported Taiwan back when they were under martial law. Then, when Chaing Kai-Shek died in 1975 and they started moving towards a true representative government, the US policy backed the false One China narrative.

We even gave China a seat on the UN Security Council.

Their goal is to bankrupt the west with the BRI. It's like we lost a bet. Sucks to hear but it is coming, these are just facts.

2
Herpawinski 2 points ago +2 / -0

How would they bankrupt the West with the Belt and Road initiative? I'm not questioning you, but that's the first time I've heard this angle on their BRI.

From the little I know, it's about strengthening themselves with a trade rout thru central Asia. I see how that would strengthen them (the ramifications of which are bad enough), but I don't see how it will directly bankrupt the west. Again, not disagreeing, just expressing my own ignorance on the subject.

I did a double-take too -- Pentagon taking over diplomatic duties from the WH. They could just as well have mumbled something about safety and protocol and then pointed to the WH for diplomacy.

23
CarpenterRichard 23 points ago +23 / -0

After Milley made it clear he would butt in on the duties of President Trump and inform China of any impending strike coming their way, I'm not surprised at all.

7
FireannDireach 7 points ago +7 / -0

Nope. This is the purview of the State Department, which has consistently been silent since the steal. It's very unusual for the Pentagon to be responding to diplomatic issues. The State Department should be all over this, and all over this trip.

2

2

0

Our standard military isn’t at fighting capacity.

China now has a larger active navy.

Why would they want to?

22
Peep45 22 points ago +22 / -0

That was my thought - like, hold up, what's going on here? Biden literally said he would defend Tiawan because that's " the commitment we made". I just watched the video a few days ago. Now the Pentagon makes a completely opposite statement? WTF is going on up there?

10
alcowiggles 10 points ago +11 / -1

If you don't know, there's been a military coup and Biden is just a puppet. Milley and his buddies at the Joint Chief of Staffs wrote a letter before the elections declaring they will not be taking orders from the commander in chief any longer. That's what's going on.

2

2
zooty 2 points ago +2 / -0

Right? I can see Biden's statements being walked back but not by the Pentagon. I mean, it's obvious the Biden isn't in charge but at least keep up the pretense.

13
2016TrumpMAGA 13 points ago +13 / -0

Tom Brokaw explained it best. Years ago, he was asked what the difference between D and R administrations was. Brokaw, a D, said that R administrations were like a business, where everyone knew their place and mission and worked together towards the administration's goals; and D administrations were like high school, with a bunch of competing cliques vying for power and influence.

Obviously this was not the case under Trump, where the GOPe was fucking him in the ass at every turn, but it is a great description of the Biden admin.

1

China has spent years building their own fabs. Buying used equipment. Hiring our engineers to make copies of US products for Chinese subsidiaries.

They claim to have 7nm technology now. They have clones of AMD processors and many other chips.

We've done nothing to prepare.

8
Edinedii 8 points ago +8 / -0

The FBI under Reagan helped to expose Chinese nationalists, when they sent gangs to kill a dissident journo in California. KMT often took hitjobs on dissidents & scrubbed the evidence, then the press even gossips were too afraid to speak openly about the govt killing the opposition. That was a big help to Taiwan getting out from under ~40 years of Martial Law.

The more actually free countries there are, the easier it is to help places get rid of juntas. The global lockstep knew this and treated all resistance to lockdowns and jabs as "right wing Nazi Trumpian" even outside of US.

2
Rosarian 2 points ago +2 / -0

That also makes it easier for globalists to get in and do their thing.

15
p1smo 15 points ago +15 / -0

they dont want the whole region.

They have controlling interests in every part of the world, and you think they only want Taiwan? Open your eyes fren.

Giving up Taiwan is essentially giving up the entire East China Sea and puts a wedge right between our forces in the Philippines and South Korea/Japan.

The America I grew up in doesn't abandon its allies, but then again, I always say I don't recognize this country anymore, and here we are.

-1
KrellKrypto -1 points ago +1 / -2

how is the argument your making ANY different then Putin in Europe?

3
p1smo 3 points ago +3 / -0

Putin isn't gobbling up millions of homes, businesses and acres of land worldwide, or buying influence in Western nations through their politicians, corporations and media. Russia is acting out of self-preservation to prevent NATO expansion upon its borders, and would prefer neutrality. China is seeking to overthrow a democratic nation and establish their communist military dominance throughout the entire Indo-Pacific region. If you can't see the fundamental differences between these two situations, I'm not sure how better to explain it to you.

2

Taiwan is such an amazing place with some of the nicest people I've ever bumped in to as a tourist. I was constantly asked if I needed directions, help, or a photo taken.

A nice, safe megacity, next to mountains that are absolutely beautiful.

Without joggers, the US cities would be a lot more like that.

Taco_of_Kiev 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yes. WE do.

voiceofsanity 4 points ago +5 / -1

As I remember, Taiwan is a base of Chinese nationalists from Guomindang party, who lost to commies and escaped to this island. So basically they don't want independence, they want to claim the whole China. It looks bit unrealistic today, but anyway.

There are zero militaries that support independence. They all support dependence to the UN and WEF and the banks.

That's right, and now China and Russia are getting between the banksters and their grifting. That's why we get into most of our wars.

RIP Hong Kong in the near future

HeavyMetalPatriot 6 points ago +6 / -0

Hong Kong was pacified in 2020. Most likely permanently. Dissenters vanished...and the organ market was flush with fresh product.

KrellKrypto 1 point ago +1 / -0

so china does that and we freak. America does that to dc and no one cares?

The pentagon should not have opinions on the independence of Taiwan one way or the other, much less express them.

That line will be "Taiwan should be fully part of mainland China" in a few years.

I support Taiwanese independence more than Ukranian independence.

2
I_Love_45-70_Gov 2 points ago +2 / -0

And in another unsursprising statement, the Pentagon states that it also does not support American Independence.

Fuck China. Lemme tell you what I think. I think China is fucked. Here's why:

China is a ticking time bomb. Half of the time they've had it together throughout all of their history has been after WW2. After Bretton Woods. They are only competent because the US has patrolled the worlds oceans and shipping lanes being the world's police. Well what happens when we take a step back from being the world's police? How are they going to get their oil from the middle east? They dont possess the navy to keep those shipping lanes safe. They don't even have a fucking blue water navy. They can maybe patrol within 200 miles of their coast. That's literally it. Thats not even their main problem. Their main problem is their geography sucks ass. The other one is their demographics. They forgot to have kids. They had the 1 child policy and all that and that killed them. They have a rapidly aging population and that's going to screw them big time. They're a fascist regime right now with everyone afraid to come in with bad news. So shit just gets tossed under a rug somewhere. Evergrande could default. The real estate troubles in china are getting worse. The banks are taking money and people's homes arent even built yet. The real estate companies dont even have the money to start the projects because they had to use the money to pay off their debts. The whole thing is giant ponzi scheme they cant keep going for much longer. They are only benefiting now because of the peace the US has brought to the rest of the world with their vast navy. Well guess what, fuckers? we're taking a huge step back from the whole world police thing and we're going to let the chips fall where they may. In fact, thats what I liked about Trump so much. He seen this and went ahead and made deals with Canada, Mexico (most important one), Japan, Korea, and UK. We got all we need. We're energy independent now too with Shale. So guess what, we get to tell the rest of the world to fuck off and fend for themselves we dont need to police this shit no mo. Who has the most to lose by this happening? China. Mother Fucking China.

So given all this: why in the sam hell are we bending the knee to China??? They're about to be toast.

It's afraid

2
Beat_to_Quarters 2 points ago +2 / -0

Guess that shows there isn't much money laundering in Taiwan. Ukraine definitely has a right to independence though.

2

Pentagon is full of Commies.

Since when does the US military set Foreign Policy for the President and State Department?

2
FerkenBlerkin 2 points ago +2 / -0

When Dems are at the helm, these clowns

• Have made the world see that our Word is worth as much as their campaign promises.

• Have devalued the dollar, and lost the World's trust in it.

• Have pushed pedophilia acceptance by promoting Drag shows with children. As if Drag Queen story time wasn't bad enough.

• Have shown that they're owned by the elite who control the World Economic Forum.

• Have violated multiple Constitutional protected Rights, and the Nuremberg Code.

• Have covered up for sex trafficking rings, like Maxwell. Still no list of the people buying the underage girls.

...... I could go on for another hour, but it's late. Moral of the story is "fuck these faggots with a nail tipped whiffleball bat". Prosecute every single person involved in covering up Covid Jab related deaths. Start with the media, and work our way up.

Fucking hell.. are you fucking kidding me? Audit those generals... gd traitors.

2
Induceddrag 2 points ago +2 / -0

The proper answer would be “We are here for when diplomacy fails. FAFO. Would you like the number for the State Department?”

2
ravonaf 2 points ago +2 / -0

Um, it's not the DOD's job to support or NOT support any individual countries. Since when was the Pentagon an independent organization that had the power to put United States support on ANYONE? They are supposed to be apolitical and not choose sides. They are just supposed to follow orders. Full stop.

2
birdman45 2 points ago +2 / -0

What in the actual hell?

2
TearofLys 2 points ago +2 / -0

The Pentagon isn't supposed to have a public opinion.
