Delayed employment opportunities due to better paying future jobs in green energy.

What's scary is that sounds exactly like something they would say.

This is my nephews logic, drives me nuts!

4
JunkieBiden 4 points ago +4 / -0

He's an idiot, but I doubt its even his fault. Education system is designed to break these kids. Hopefully the real world eventually snaps him out of it

6
CoherentLight 6 points ago +6 / -0

We're saving the environment by reducing job openings, each lost opportunity represents a step towards our goal of total unemployment.

5
DeepStateParasite 5 points ago +5 / -0

Transitioning to Inflation Reduction. That doesn't sound like a recession to me!

21
keep_america_great 21 points ago +21 / -0

“We’re not in a recession because even though gdp went down for two consecutive quarters, employment numbers are still very strong”

“We’re not in a recession because even though gdp went down for two consecutive quarters, employment numbers are poor, and people are eating insects, the sky is still blue so the economy is booming.”

3
HeavyVetting 3 points ago +3 / -0

As long as you're not dead you're growing, just like the economy!

3
anotherthing 3 points ago +3 / -0

This was my first thought as well. Just a few days, they were saying we're not in a recession because of employment numbers, then they come in and they suck. That goal post is going to break the sound barrier soon.

I was told we had the fastest job growth ever and the lowest unemployment in 70 years

37
My_dick_screamed 37 points ago +37 / -0

Wait wait wait, I thought that we had the greatest economy ever? Record growth? What happened? I thought Joe's handlers said everything is better than ever, ESPECIALLY compared to that DRUMPF.

Fucking makes me wanna puke.

We have to get our country back

19
Barron4Prez 19 points ago +19 / -0

LOL, the one single statistic the Biden admin keeps citing is the employment numbers, and now they’ve lost that.

Just give it a year for when inflation slips to 5% and they’ll claim it’s been “cut in half” even though it’s still 2 1/2 times the Fed’s target of 2%. As if 5% inflation was ever acceptable in the first place. They’re already doing it with $3.99 gas celebrations

6
TommyJarvis 6 points ago +6 / -0

No, see, there’s fewer people LOOKING for jobs so there’s lower unemployment. Millions have removed THEMSELVES from the job market because they find it makes more sense to stay home

3
thisisatestof2 3 points ago +3 / -0

Exactly. I’ve seen some leftists on the local Facebook group be so happy that gas is now about $4.10 to $4.20 a gallon depending on the station and seeing how great that is. I’ll still put my I did that stickers out every single time.

Best I can do is some Lunchables pizza kit.

CmonGubMintGibMe 15 points ago +15 / -0

I'm a young chief. So close....

14
GingerLeeIwalk 14 points ago +14 / -0

I wish I were young! And a chef :)

8

Do you pay better than free handouts and thieving ?

My_dick_screamed 3 points ago +3 / -0

DM me ;P

21
crackerstacker 21 points ago +21 / -0

They will redefine unemployed. It will be called "Awaiting assignment" or something.

They will likely also try to cook the books even more on the unemployment figures.

10
GingerLeeIwalk 10 points ago +10 / -0

Transitional employment. We are in a period of transition in this booming economy thanks to this President and administrations hard work.

7
Barron4Prez 7 points ago +7 / -0

They already tried this, but in the other direction under Trump when his unemployment numbers were too good for the libs to accept. CNN & NYT had opinion pieces about how “underemployment” should be added in and saying anyone making under $15 is not making an acceptable living wage, and thus is underemployed and should be added. Conveniently trying to balloon the actual number to make big bad Trump look bad at all costs.

5
TiaTisa 5 points ago +5 / -0

I can't believe I uptooted a handshake.

4
FliesTheFlag 4 points ago +4 / -0

The numbers are already so manipulated in their favor I dont know how they can fuck with them anymore. With that said, even with their bullshit numbers...lowest unemployment they keep saying...well its followed by recession, so you know their employment numbers are fake but you never see this mentioned anywhere. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/UNRATE

20
GingerLeeIwalk 20 points ago +20 / -0

Yup, last week I expected a job offer after 4 interviews was instead told that the job has been put on hold for economic reasons. Recruiter was upfront, all of her clients are putting jobs on hold. She had a company pull back offers from people who had accepted. This is not looking good.

9
TrumpoWon2020 9 points ago +9 / -0

Good thing my emergency fund is enough for 24 months of unemployment. Even longer with unemployment money.

10
OkieRedPiller 10 points ago +10 / -0

But those 24 months of reserve are now only worth 12 months due to Bideninflation.

4
Dr_Pepe_ 4 points ago +4 / -0

You've got to stop using their fake metrics. You'll be lucky to get 6 months.

4
TrumpoWon2020 4 points ago +4 / -0

☹☹☹

4
realPhantomFuck 4 points ago +4 / -0

I was laid off last week

I have enough on hand for 18 months and thankfully I got approved for unemployment even though I'm a straight, white male

Never applied for unemployment before, but holy shit it's a convoluted, terrible process ripe for fraud

3
GingerLeeIwalk 3 points ago +3 / -0

Good for you! Unfortunately I don't have those reserves. But I am taking whatever temporary jobs there are and doing the best I can. I have still not been able to replace the job I lost because of the COVID lockdowns. I've had to cobble together 2 plus jobs at a time to make ends meet.

7
bejeavis 7 points ago +7 / -0

I had an ink on paper offer in April that was retracted. Pilot losing a job offer due to a pilot shortage. Yeah wrap your head around that. Situation is fucked.

7
realPhantomFuck 7 points ago +7 / -0

This happened to me during the COVID lockdown

Three interviews, background check, assessment, attended orientation, signed the job offer... Then I was told the position was being eliminated

Weeks and so many hours of my time just gone

It fucking sucks. You'll get through it though

12
pokeman 12 points ago +13 / -1

Not in Florida. In fact nothing is slowing down in my state.

8

I need to move there NOW. And don’t tell me you’re full. I’m giving you more red votes.

1
pokeman 1 point ago +1 / -0

People like you is why I cant afford a house

1
TwitterIsTrash 1 point ago +1 / -0

No. You can’t afford a house because black rock is buying all affordable houses and turning them into overpriced bs. Same with apartments. I have to move with my parents because I cannot afford the prices on my own. But I’m trying

1
pokeman 1 point ago +1 / -0

I actually can afford one. I’m just getting beat out by people asking over listing price

12
BabbleRabble 12 points ago +12 / -0

Folks, the US worker is so energized and enthusiastic about this economy that their high productivity is resulting in employers not having to hire more workers! C'mon, man - that's a strong economy!

8
GingerLeeIwalk 8 points ago +8 / -0

I read this in his voice and I hate it.

11
Dictator_Bob 11 points ago +11 / -0

President Trump's job market was hot. Workers knew they could leave their companies and negotiated better standards of living. This lasted for a while into the Biden admin who mismanaged everything since.

Trump had promised: jobs, jobs, jobs!

Trump had promised: you would have so many jobs to choose from you could slide around in your career. So many options you wouldn't know what to do!

This happened. Now it is going away and our dear friends at B of A are cheering it on.

The Democrats abandoned the American worker. Make sure people know this.

5
realPhantomFuck 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yeah, I switched companies three times during GEOTUS' term. I knew the market was hot and knew my worth so I was constantly applying at places

It was actually kind of fun

9
realPhantomFuck 9 points ago +9 / -0

Laid off last Monday 🙋‍♂️

6

8
jtt888 8 points ago +9 / -1

So all those fuckin millenials who sat at home collecting unemployment and dragging their feet in their parents basement for a year will now have fewer jobs to apply for.

3
Krat 3 points ago +3 / -0

The only answer is more handouts !!

3
TommyJarvis 3 points ago +3 / -0

According to plan…

7
MudDog 7 points ago +7 / -0

did they stop hiring or did the dems put them out of business?

6
no_gal_friend 6 points ago +6 / -0

new jobs will be open at the Merriam-Webster, Random House, Oxford companies for redefining words and creating a whole new pronouns.

5
TwitterIsTrash 5 points ago +5 / -0

My job is on a hiring freeze even though

  1. We’re over half a million under budget

  2. We’re desperately understaffed

And 3) We had tons of applicants who even came to be interviewed but then weeks after by phone told they’re not needed anymore.

Something is up. And it’s not good.

5
remindmelater 5 points ago +5 / -0

This is how we know his policies are working......

4
yarg 4 points ago +4 / -0

To be fair, employers offering lower paying / skill jobs are absolutely hiring. Not that anyone capable who is currently living fat off the tax payer's would want those.

3
1776Widowmaker 3 points ago +3 / -0

I got laid off Friday. Unemployment is a nightmare to navigate online. Especially if you have no computer other than your phone. I've tried to file 3 times today but can't get past the face scan.

3
Logan051361 3 points ago +3 / -0

Just wait until fall and then 2023.

5

3
GENOCIDE_PITBULLS 3 points ago +3 / -0

Not with that attitude ! !

3
Ebbie8708 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah yeah inflation, but man if I was making $14 a hour in high school, you’d best believe I’d be demanding overtime.

Instead my first job at the day care in 2005 was only $5 hour haha

2
jctbg20 2 points ago +2 / -0

So next month when this shows in unemployment, will that make it a recession under the new definition?

2
based_steakums 2 points ago +2 / -0

But of course! If you had a job you would want to own things and be reluctant to eat bugs.

2
zobda 2 points ago +2 / -0

This could be a front-runner for lower unemployment. Waiting and seeing.

2
ohpleaseuhhelpame 2 points ago +2 / -0

Reminds me of the Obama years..soon they will be saying you should be grateful to even have a job!

2
FLIBS 2 points ago +2 / -0

Still not a recession! Source: Biden

2
Uh-hickabuh 2 points ago +2 / -0

Can an economist tell me: does that mean it was more like a 700 - 800k job deficit because of pop growth?

2
PoohClimbsTrees 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yet EVERY single restaurant in Texas will hire you if you can fog up a mirror.

15+ is easy to find washing dishes and it only goes up as you move up.

2
trump4045 2 points ago +3 / -1

there isnt alot of upward mobility in the service industry

1
PoohClimbsTrees 1 point ago +2 / -1

lol sure there isn't.

They are desperate for all positions.

GM's make stupid money at corporate restaurants.

Halfway competent people ger promoted stupidly fast.

I work for fun, I literally fight off promotion opportunities with in a month of working at any restaurant. I have worked at 4 in the past 2 years. I don't need the jobs and move as I get board to learn different foods.

The current one I got a $2 raise and employee of the month during month 2.

Literally anyone with basic competence can do what I have done and I've only been in the restaurant industry for under 2 years.

A single example.

https://www.pluckers.com/employment/coaches

1
Glower_not_shower 1 point ago +1 / -0

Basic competence?

Go on TikTok live later at night. It's nothing but Amazon, Walmart, and fast food employees just sitting around doing nothing but talking to their chats. Oddly a lot of police officers as well.

1
PoohClimbsTrees 1 point ago +1 / -0

"Go on Chinese Propaganda App to learn what is really happening"

Hahahaha

I live in reality and am stating facts from real life not Chinese/Liberal Propaganda

How is a live video in the US from some wretch propoganda?

1

Even places that are hiring usually only want part-time minimum wage help from kids or illegals

1
Winner45 1 point ago +1 / -0

I wonder how many us companies with govt contracts for Ukraine are not hiring Americans

1
Pepelosi 1 point ago +1 / -0

I never buy fast food but it was my buddies Bday yest and I thought I’d surprise him with some hotdogs…10 chili dogs, 20 jalapeño poppers-$47. Imagine how bad it would be if we were actually in a recession. Lolz.

1
BrandontheDumasss 1 point ago +1 / -0

And why that’s a good thing, film at 11

1

1
geekesmind 1 point ago +1 / -0

Was going to get promoted at my job after 3 years just for them to tell me SORRY PROMOTION FREEZE. I will have to wait year and half.

So I enrolled into college on the companies dime and got accepted today. I am getting hell out this place.

1
Lurking-My-Life-Away 1 point ago +1 / -0

If you're an electrical engineer I know a place that needs you really badly.

1
JunkieBiden 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yup. Im sure my industry is worse than most right now(Mortgage). I just got a promotion to a different position and have been training so hoping im good for a bit longer, but I been watching a lot of people losing their jobs recently. Rates only going to get worse.

-1
AtrueSkizo -1 points ago +1 / -2

Great, great. None of this means shit. The dollar can be at 1/1000 value and still people will live their lives. Why? Because the entire system is based of the fucking dollar, IT WILL ALWAYS RETAIN ITS VALUE, barely moving up or down 2%. You clowns really think the people in power are gonna de-value their own money? Get real

1
LibertarianXian 1 point ago +1 / -0

name checks out

1
AtrueSkizo 1 point ago +1 / -0

Get fucked, youknow I am right. The dollar is fiat and not based on NOTHING. BUT!!!!! because it is used as the world currency its value is literally tied to that fact alone. You know it it, I know it, most know it. Get Fucked.
