What did she know about Hillary Clinton?

131
IncredibleMrE1 131 points ago +132 / -1

Were the cars involved capable of remote takeover?

78
BlinkinSun 78 points ago +79 / -1

A congresswoman would probably be riding in something very new and easy for somebody to control remotely... but even if she wasn't, there are millions on the road around them which can.

3
K-Harbour 3 points ago +3 / -0

Did 23 and me know her?

28
XlDEN 28 points ago +29 / -1

Happened at a roundabout.

Edit for context: Here’s the roundabout where this happened. Hwy 119 comes in from the east, ending at the N-S Hwy 19. A different road goes to the west.

46
magalee 46 points ago +46 / -0

WTF.. How fast can people drive in/near a roundabout?!

19
Brobold 19 points ago +19 / -0

A lot of people don't seem to realize they just entered a roundabout

15
XlDEN 15 points ago +17 / -2

They keep sticking new ones on highways, where you actually have to turn right to go left, leading people to take short-cuts.

10
Geralt_of_Rivia1 10 points ago +10 / -0

Yep. I am a proponent of residential roundabouts, not highway roundabouts.

13
NotDoneWinning 13 points ago +15 / -2

They keep adding new ones, and I've been caught off guard by it myself.

18
Goozmania 18 points ago +21 / -3

Roundabouts are pretty horrifying for those of us from the west coast. First time I drove into one was in Boston, I think, and I didn't know what the fuck was happening.

Edit: I should clarify, it was because I didn't know it was coming, and people on it were driving extremely fast and aggressively.

21
Trump2024 21 points ago +21 / -0

and I didn't know what the fuck was happening.

So you fit in nicely.

4
K-Harbour 4 points ago +4 / -0

You know, (these stupid, ridiculous, British, cursed) roundabouts are required by law.

8
STONKATRUCK 8 points ago +9 / -1

Roundabouts are stupid and there is generally no set rule for them all on who has the right away aside from signs. Sometimes those already in the roundabout. Sometimes those entering it depends how they have it set up

6
noncompliant123 6 points ago +6 / -0

I have never heard of those not in it have the right of way. That defeats the whole purpose. You are supposed to just keep going straight (and to the right) as long as nobody is already there.

If cars already in the round about had to stop for every other car in all of the entry points, that would cause a big slowdown.

6
Trump2024 6 points ago +6 / -0

Clark Griswold has entered the roundabout

3
Methodmapper 3 points ago +3 / -0

I am sure those of us from Massachusetts gave you zero grace ;-)

2
Goozmania 2 points ago +3 / -1

Yes, this was actually the issue. People on it were extremely aggressive and speeding; while I didn't even know I was getting on one.

2
zerk0021 2 points ago +2 / -0

A few on the west coast; one is in the Berkeley Hills where the state Capitol was proposed to move in the early 20th century...

3
pjr107 3 points ago +3 / -0

I watched a car going the wrong way on the one down from the art museum in Philadelphia around the fountain (I was on the 40th floor or something like that) I have no clue why there were no cars on when they did it.

Any bets that 56 yr old E. Schmucker was fully jabbed and boosted?

5
anonanomous 5 points ago +6 / -1

Long covid indeed. Either a) other driver died and swerved into rep or more likely b) rep’s car was taken over remote and caused the thing ;)

2
OGpsywar 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not enough information yet whether or why she would have been -worth- a political assassination.

Possibly another of the vehicle's occupants was the target and she was just collateral? Some dem went anti-gun-moonbat after getting shot, but she was just collateral in a hit her pResident put on a judge (that she was standing near) who was chasing Barry down for the 'fast and furious' gunrunning scheme.

Also, it could be a trial-run, with an 'unimportant' target, to measure notoriety and pushback re later hitting more-overtly patriot reps.

6
Trumpymctrumpface 6 points ago +6 / -0

15 MPH is what ours are in MT but people go 35 sometimes. Still fairly low speeds to cause death

5
Methodmapper 5 points ago +5 / -0

to cause 3 deaths!

4
Geralt_of_Rivia1 4 points ago +4 / -0

Most likely a driver going the wrong way leading to a head on collision

3
notCIA 3 points ago +3 / -0

Wrecks 35 and up are significantly more deadly than below. Seems slow, but it does approach a statistical threshold.

2
Error404 2 points ago +2 / -0

It really depends on the design. I’ve seen ones in France back in the 90s that were so big you basically drove thru at about 40mph because the radius was so big it was like wide sweeping turns (out in the Paris outskirts/country).

In America they make them so damn small thinking that’s effective.. it’s extremely shitty planning.. (even understanding the existing area they have to work with not necessarily having room to expand).

Imo if you have to slow to about 1/3 the speed limit for a controlled entry/exit… you’ve essentially made an intersection.

1
throwawayicanremembe 1 point ago +1 / -0

That is how they all should be. They are such a size that the exits are far enough from the entries compared to the connecting streets that there is no confusion about what direction any traffic is going. Instead they put the same residential sized ones, that are even on the small side there, on 55 mph county and state highways that used to be straight through. And they are going to keep adding more just like them.

30
elcomedian 30 points ago +32 / -2

Lol I’m 38, they never taught us how to drive in roundabouts when we were young and then one day there were everywhere.

11

6

They are now required for federal fund eligibility.

6
ClownWorldIsHere 6 points ago +8 / -2

Luckily they are really easy to understand and they save a lot of time and traffic as compared to a 4 way stop.

2
elcomedian 2 points ago +2 / -0

They’re easy to understand the 2nd time. First time is confusing if you’ve never seen one

1
ClownWorldIsHere 1 point ago +1 / -0

I can understand the confusion the first time. But after that, they are easy. It's just a yield instead of a stop. Exit lane on the right.

4
THELEADERSOFMEN 4 points ago +4 / -0

Tons of ‘em in Mass where I grew up, now it’s fun watching everyone adjust to them as they go in here in Arkansas. The street department totally over engineers them with all kinds of lanes and arrows. Just gotta let people merge in and out where and when they feel comfortable for the whole concept to work smoothly.

22
CrackerJack2 22 points ago +23 / -1

14
DCdeplorable 14 points ago +20 / -6

Roundabouts are a fucking pox on our roadways. Leave them to eurocucked cities who don't know how to drive over 35kmph

7
Froynlavenfroynlaven 7 points ago +9 / -2

A few 4 way stops around me got replaced with roundabouts, and as a result it's quicker and easier to get through the intersection. Don't get the hate.

6
Geralt_of_Rivia1 6 points ago +7 / -1

Some people are stupid to the point they don't understand how they work

2
DCdeplorable 2 points ago +3 / -1

ignoring people who do retarded shit like go the wrong way, its still a much more fraught interaction. Right-of-way becomes hard to determine when someone faster is entering the circle one entrance behind someone going slower. Knowing when you should keep moving or stop is tough when cars are going in every direction all around you. Just build a fucking light. Or a full-on cloverleaf if you need top efficiency.

1
Geralt_of_Rivia1 1 point ago +1 / -0

I mean, the main use of roundabouts is an anti-speeding-drunk measure in residential neighborhoods where it is damn rare to be more than one car at a time.

You can go through it drunk, you can go through it kind of fast, but you damn well arent going through it drunk at 70mph.

1
CrustySockpuppet 1 point ago +1 / -0

Far too many people are too retarded to understand yielding, let alone a fucking roundabout. I see it all the time in my town

1
Geralt_of_Rivia1 1 point ago +1 / -0

It literally just means rolling stop.

4
ChilledCovfefe 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yes I like them, traffic moves smoothly. And they do prevent a lot of deaths. This is an odd case that is probably very rare.

1
DCdeplorable 1 point ago +4 / -3

They don't prevent any deaths compared to traffic lights/stop signs. What you gain in efficiency, you lose in making driving safe for the absolute retards we give licenses to (and those forced to share the road with said retards)

2
sumnayin2 2 points ago +2 / -0

Some of us don't like having to stop every 30 feet for traffic lights. There are already roads I've lived near that have so many traffic lights now that what was once a 10 minute drive is now a 30 minute drive all while traffic isn't any worse.

2
johnrambo 2 points ago +2 / -0

Same here. Mythbusters tested it too and came up with the same results. It's faster.

Here they cleared a lot of traffic where there used to be red lights or stop signs. Miles of traffic before and blocks if that after.

5
Geralt_of_Rivia1 5 points ago +11 / -6

Eh, they do save lives. T-boned at a normal crossroads are far more deadly

14
TiredCampaigner 14 points ago +17 / -3

How much more deadly can you get than "everybody in this accident died".

Sounds a lot like "I'm so glad I took the deathshot or my China Flu would have been much worse".

4
Geralt_of_Rivia1 4 points ago +4 / -0

Everybody in these 400 accidents died.

There is more than one traffic accident per year. Per a given amount of vehicle traffic, roundabouts have less deaths. With a roundabout, pretty much the only fatal accident is someone going the wrong way around leading to a head on collision

0
DCdeplorable 0 points ago +2 / -2

I dont see how you're less likely to get t-boned in a roundabout. In a roundabout everyone moves and you're supposed to calculate some priority list of who yields to who in a moment's notice. Stop signs solve that, so long as people, ya know, stop for them.

1
sumnayin2 1 point ago +1 / -0

all of the roundabouts near me it'd be almost impossible to t-bone someone without driving over concrete barriers while you do it

1
Geralt_of_Rivia1 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yield = rolling stop.

And you cant t-bone someone on a round about. It is a rear ender unless some massive shit went wrong. Which is far safer.

3
ClownWorldIsHere 3 points ago +9 / -6

So you'd rather go to a 4 way stop sign and wait in traffic? Round-a-bouts are amazing..

Please put more in the US

-1
notCIA -1 points ago +2 / -3

Yes. In the rare occasion I'm at a 4 way, let us lroceed as normal instead of doing this stupid dance. As much as everyone toughts them as more efficient and safe, I've seen more wrecks at roundabouts than 4 ways in my town because people get impatient and think the person coming at them is going to turn.

1
ClownWorldIsHere 1 point ago +1 / -0

Also, if a person assumes anything on the road and just goes in front of traffic, that's on them...that isn't the round-a-bouts fault. Do you also believe in "gun violence"?

1
notCIA 1 point ago +1 / -0

No, I believe the gubmint messes with things that were fine to begin with just to justify their existence. You can believe roundabouts are better, doesn't mean we need tax money updating every single intersection in the country.

1
sumnayin2 1 point ago +1 / -0

And all of the accidents I see around me are from people turning onto roads at traffic lights and getting rear ended by oncoming traffic. Should my town remove all traffic lights?

1
notCIA 1 point ago +1 / -0

Your town should do what's best for your town, and mine should leave shit alone if it works.

1
ClownWorldIsHere 1 point ago +1 / -0

I'm in a highly populated area, and there are some stop signs that have traffic backed up far every day. There are certainly intersections that shouldn't have them, but there are some that need them.

1
notCIA 1 point ago +1 / -0

Totally agree. I live in a lower traffic area and the four way that is now a roundabout doesn't get that kind of traffic. It's just a little intersection besides some businesses and fast food. It's also the only roundabout in the entire city, showing that they were just itching to mess with something and used the roundabout arguement as an excuse.

1
ClownWorldIsHere 1 point ago +1 / -0

Also, if a person assumes anything on the road and just goes in front of traffic, that's on them...that isn't the round-a-bouts fault. Do you also believe in "gun violence"?

-1
DCdeplorable -1 points ago +2 / -3

4 way stops are better, period. Stop signs for smaller roads, traffic lights for larger roads / more complicated intersections. Roundabouts are a thunderdome free-for-all with no rules, and therefore, every driver running their own version of the rules.

Signs and lights are black-and-white, and if you run one it should be an instant ticket (and in many places, it is).

2
ClownWorldIsHere 2 points ago +2 / -0

Well, they actually do have rules, and posted signs, and generally signs painted on the road as you'd see in a turn lane at a light.

I don't think round-a-bouts should be in place of every stop sign, but in areas of high traffic with 3 or 4 way intersections with a stop sign, they are much better. I do think stop signs are better on smaller country roads that have higher speed limits and less traffic. I can see how putting a random round-a-bout in a spot like that would just lead to disaster.

1
johnrambo 1 point ago +1 / -0

75% of drivers can't navigate a 4 way stop.

2
DCdeplorable 2 points ago +2 / -0

75% of drivers can't navigate a fucking lane change so idk how they can ever survive a roundabout.

I'm very torn between not wanting govt to require licenses to drive, and not wanting 98% of ppl I personally know to be allowed to drive

I'd like to see pictures of the two cars. The Hastings crash is similar to the Harrison Deal crash, in that both cars were incinerated far beyond what an ordinary crash should have caused. In the congresswoman's case, it seems statistically unlikely that what would have been a relatively low speed crash would kill four out of four people.

9

Not to denigrate, but she seems like a mixed bag politically. The rating site Conservative Review gives her a 50% score.

https://libertyscore.conservativereview.com/jackie-walorski

In particular she loses points for the following votes:

  • Pass a defense bill that allows the military to discharge unvaccinated service members

  • Fund the war in Ukraine through the end of Joe Biden's first term with a $40 billion aid package

  • Pass a $1.5 trillion Omnibus funding Biden's vaccine mandates

  • Sign women up for the draft in the National Defense Authorization Act

  • So-called COVID relief bill and $1.4 trillion special interest spending

The more "establishment" Heritage for Action scorecard gives her a lifetime rating of 72%

Why is that bad? This is the future feminists want - right now men are required to sign up for the draft for anything related to government issues. While I'd rather it be completely eliminated, while men are still required to sign up for it, women should be required to sign up if they want voting rights. Repeal the 19th.

Calling Trump Fascist.

Supports a party that attempts to use major corporations to influence the opinions of others. Big brain you got there.

6
Dictator_Bob 6 points ago +6 / -0

They never want to talk about that. The corporate state taught them what they know and then when they hit us the arguments we make don't sync up with this. They just get confused and sperg out because we're the fascists. Which is why we need to abolish human rights. To stop fascism.

Is it bad my first thought is "was she a RINO?"

EDIT: Looks like she wasn't. Sad either way that 4 people have died in that crash. :(

From Wikipedia:

"In December 2020, Walorski was one of 126 Republican members of the House of Representatives to sign an amicus brief in support of Texas v. Pennsylvania, a lawsuit filed at the United States Supreme Court contesting the results of the 2020 presidential election, in which Joe Biden defeated[47] Trump. The Supreme Court declined to hear the case on the basis that Texas lacked standing under Article III of the Constitution to challenge the results of an election held by another state.[48][49][50]"

NAPPANEE, Ind. -- Four people died in a crash at SR 19 and SR 119 near Nappanee Wednesday afternoon. According to police, one of the victims was US Rep. Jackie Walorski.

The crash happened at 12:32 p.m. Wednesday between two vehicles near the intersection of SR 19 and SR 119.

Three people in an SUV were killed in the crash, including Jackie Walorski, Zachery Potts and Emma Thompson.

The sole occupant of the other vehicle involved in the crash was also pronounced dead at the scene.

She has been identified as 56-year old Edith Schmucker of Nappanee.

Walorski has represented District 2 since 2012.

I was looking her up and it seems she represents south bend which is mayor petes old city he failed to properly run. Lots of attacks on her for not voting for the bait and switch bill that would cap insulin at $35 but as is typical with any D bill it was 2% insulin relief and 98% pure hog that had nothing to do with insulin so it was dead on arrival regardless. Plus the fact that it was biden who removed Trump's $35 cap to begin with. So if they are attacking her for that she must have been effective. This will be a loss for good governance.

10
WinstonSmith1984 10 points ago +10 / -0

My first completely uninformed guess is a cardiac event for the lone driver in the other car, but it could have simply been inattention.

"On August 3, 2022 at approximately 12:32 PM the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office responded to a two vehicle crash on SR 19 south of SR 119. A northbound passenger car traveled left of center and collided head on with a southbound sports utility vehicle."

State Highway 380, specifically the stretch from Denton to McKinney, is a fucking car bomb derby every weekend. Wrong way drivers, fuckers swerving into traffic, idiots pulling out in front of rock haulers doing 75mph... it's insane. Sure as shit morons are out there trying to fucking ride their bicycles on it. Posted 75 limit, folks hit it like an Autobahn.

No hard divider, no exit and on ramps... just driveway to road. At it's widest point it's 12 lanes wide (double dedicated lefts, 3 main lanes, and a dedicated right). Lunacy.

*pic of the road.

3
DCdeplorable 3 points ago +3 / -0

Wow that sounds like absurdly bad for a road. I thought you couldn't make a speed limit above 65 unless you had additional features, like all the things you're talking about- ramps, no turns, barriers?

“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Some recent tweets from the Congresswoman:

During the Biden Recession, the last thing we need is more reckless, big-government spending that fuels inflation. The latest tax-and-spend scheme would send Americans deeper into Biden's economic crisis. Hoosiers can't afford the Schumer-Manchin tax hikes.

Countries like China & Mexico refuse to deter #fentanyl trafficking. Since President Biden & Democrats won't secure the border, Congress must pass my Civil Justice for Victims of International Fentanyl Trafficking Act to empower victims to seek justice.

What globalist stooge will conveniently be put in to replace her?

And yes, I’m going right to conspiracy, because that’s what the fuck we’re in now.

3
FireannDireach 3 points ago +3 / -0

He was in a Tesla, or an EV, or the other car was - the car didn't explode, it burned - the fire burned hot because of the batteries. Doesn't explain the crash itself, and the timing was...creepy, but I'm pretty sure it was a battery pack that caused the car to be literally melted. It's those battery packs that make me leery of EVs.

During her tenure in the Indiana House, Walorski was a sponsor of Indiana's Voter ID law, requiring voters to present government-issued identification during in-person voting.[5] The Voter ID law led to many lawsuits and was brought before the Supreme Court, where it was upheld in Crawford v. Marion County Election Board, and is cited as helping the expansion of Voter ID laws in other states.[13]

1
1776timesinfinity 1 point ago +3 / -2

What evidence is there that Harrison Deal was murdered? It originated from Sidney Powell, who simply said Deal was "blown up" and didn't elaborate in any way. Both the Deals and the Kemps basically said, please shut up and stop being crazy.

2
jctbg20 2 points ago +4 / -2

But that was the exact goal of the murder

Comply or you're next

And

"Pooler police Public Information Officer Lindsey Heintzman said Deal was traveling on the interstate around 10 a.m. Friday when a flatbed truck hauling black plastic tubing struck his vehicle from behind. The impact caused Deal’s vehicle to crash into a third vehicle, she said. Deal’s vehicle caught fire and he died as a result of the crash. Heintzman said the fire “affected the other vehicles” but neither of the other two drivers was seriously injured. Neither autopsy reports nor accident reports were completed Monday, and further information, including the identities of the other drivers involved, was not immediately available"

Caught fire? How?

2
1776timesinfinity 2 points ago +3 / -1

Vehicles catch fire in crashes all the time. Most vehicle deaths from fires result from fires precipitated by collisions and rollovers. There were 173,000 vehicle fires in the U.S. last year alone.

This is my main problem with conspiracy theories -- they aren't even really theories. They mention a detail of what happened and say, "Explain that!" without including any context or making any effort to understand why that detail might exist.

-1
jctbg20 -1 points ago +1 / -2

Neither of the other 2 cars involved caught any fire?

The kid died from the fire, not the crash.

The police said "Heintzman said the investigation “could take weeks, even months, to complete".. But I guess it's so simple, you figured it out immediately

They have yet to reveal why the fire happened

I gave you a reason why someone would want to murder him.. I gave you the details of the crash that have yet to be explained.. I gave you the reason why what Kemp says now is irrelevant

1
1776timesinfinity 1 point ago +2 / -1

Neither of the other 2 cars involved caught any fire?

It's probabilities. All involved vehicles don't just magically catch fire when a crash of a certain velocity takes place. There's all kinds of factors involved -- the age of the car, where it was struck, what kind of battery the car had, how much fuel is on board, etc. There's nothing inherently suspicious about this.

They have yet to reveal why the fire happened

The driver of the truck has been indicted. if you want to know why the vehicle caught fire, pay attention to the trial.

I gave you a reason why someone would want to murder him.. I gave you the details of the crash that have yet to be explained.. I gave you the reason why what Kemp says now is irrelevant

You gave a totally unsubstantiated reason you personally believe someone might want to murder him with no supporting details, you mentioned details of the crash that have yet to be explained with no knowledge of whether or how accidents like this are usually investigated in the absence of any evidence of foul play, and you gave a completely speculative reason why what Kemp says might be irrelevant that relies on the parallel existence of another huge, complex conspiracy that you haven't substantiated in any way. You're basically demonstrating every flaw I mentioned and showing why no one takes this shit seriously.
