If your system of government has contingencies for corruption on that scale, which do NOT include the key phrase, "HANG THEM ALL"; you're gonna have a bad time.

came here to say that

Actually, IF Trump somehow or some way gets back into office, he can constitutionally serve, I beleive, 2 years of this 4 year term and then run again in '24 and serve that term out too.

barwhack 3 points ago +3 / -0

He's gettin' old. One more. No dynasty. Desantis next.

Also: term limits should have only ONE provsion for fraud:

Happicakes 3 points ago +4 / -1

If he is reelected in '24 like he should be, he can run again after that. Term limit resets when he is out of office. So here's hoping for a Trump presidency that lasts until 2032.

If this is the case, why wouldn't the democrat have put forth obama again instead of this current retard we are dealing with?

Happicakes 1 point ago +2 / -1

Probably because he doesn't want to be responsible for the current shitshow in progress. Also, Michelle's demands for pegging snu-snu are likely to keep him busy enough.

Well that’s not true at all.

Genji_Sama 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'm pretty sure if fraud was proven to the masses that their new arguememt would be, "Trump was already elected to a second term, so even if he didn't get to serve because fraud, he can't be elected again."

Saluboy 3 points ago +4 / -1

If elected in 2024, Trump would be eligible for two consecutive terms.

BoughtByBloomberg2 2 points ago +2 / -0

Presidential term limits are bullshit anyway. It's the executive. If a dude is doing a great job he should keep being able to run for that office.

GarudaDarkblack 2 points ago +2 / -0

Technically he served one term and then was denied serving his other term which would make it a negative term. 1 + (-1) = 0. As far as I'm concerned, come January 21, 2023, Trump would have effectively served a net zero terms and is eligible to serve two more terms.

DeplorableBasketCase 2 points ago +2 / -0

Since Miley took control of the military from Trump. He technically has not even had 1 term as president yet.

I agree

hoaxproof 1 point ago +1 / -0

or there should just be no term limits if the candidate had it stolen. Let the people force the candidate on the perpetrators for the rest of their (or his) life.

someschmuck 1 point ago +1 / -0

I believe the loophole still exists since Trump only served a single term, and didn't serve a consecutive term, if he's reelected it's a new first term, so he can run for a second

We should have the votes necessary to change Presidential term limits come 2024. Clinton talked about it, maybe we should get it done.

Easy fix for this: we change the definition of ‘twice’. There’s no reason ‘twice’ can’t mean three times. Language evolves.

honestly we're already living under the dictatorship of the deep state.

FireCrotchPsaki 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah and I want it completely wiped out and a MAGA dictatorship instituted with the elimination of all liberals everywhere. Enough is enough
