I don’t want DeSantis to be President, I love the guy so much but he can and will do more for Floridians than he can ever achieve fighting the cesspool that is Washington.

He's right where he needs to be: setting an example for how State's should be acting.

Ghostof_PatrickHenry 160 points ago +161 / -1

Agree with this. I looking forward to Kari Lake following through on her promise to organize a domestic military defense force between states designed to subvert the White House, which will fight the cartel and secure the border.

Very ambitious, but I love the energy.

65
Faulkner 65 points ago +65 / -0

She’s going to force a lot of issues that should have been resolved long ago if she follows through on that.

36
OneBigMaga 36 points ago +36 / -0

If she follows through.

40
suliv 40 points ago +40 / -0

I 100% think she will, she's the first candidate for governor I've seen get this far with the views she has. Way to the right of desantis

23
AnacronicA 23 points ago +23 / -0

And considering the how hard the regime has already tried to fraudulently remove her, just in the primary tells me me she is completely on the right side.

14
imnotdeadyet 14 points ago +14 / -0

I think she is pissed and you know what they say about scorned women. She is probably going to come out with both barrels blasting.

0
chickeninoven 0 points ago +3 / -3

More than likely she'll Noem.

24
SenileJoe 24 points ago +24 / -0

She has to go against the person who is in charge of election cheating in AZ, Katie Hobbs in November.

11
Donaldsweiner 11 points ago +11 / -0

As long as we get involved we can do it

9
Joeythebomb 9 points ago +9 / -0

katie slobb stole her seat in 2018 too and you’ll never guess what the circumstances were!

it was just another typical election, skies were blue, birds were chirping, and another democratic candidate getting fucking crushed in their race on election day just so miraculously skate ahead three days later.

she did this even when she wasn’t in charge of it

1
txladyvoter 1 point ago +1 / -0

Heels Up would know.

5
Filthy_MALE 5 points ago +5 / -0

She is saying it out loud which is important. Put the proposal on the table. If the public is shocked by it, they will acclimate to it, and warm up to it over time.

Then we propose something even more based. They react. They get used to it. See that the sky doesn’t fall because some faggot on the news says ray ciss

Repeat.

2

A big IF, considering she was Obama's fan girl at one time.

0
dr_gonzo 0 points ago +2 / -2

Ya that makes me extremely nervous. I don't know a lot of people that do a 180 politically in their middle age.

But I'm hoping Trump knows what he's doing.

3
powershellder 3 points ago +3 / -0

There’s a bunch people here who voted for Bernie.

There’s hope.

2
txladyvoter 2 points ago +2 / -0

Are you saying one can't learn from their mistakes?

Ronald Reagan was a democrat. He changed.

0
Cozette 0 points ago +1 / -1

"I don't know alot of people who did a 180".

Sheltered life? If true, heartfelt condolences.

" hoping Trump knows what he's doing ". In current year? " Trump was right. Again" is now a world famous saying because its been so true, so often.

Trumps betting everything he loves including his life and the lives of his family that he can be our General George and guide us to victory over the Globalist psychopaths.

Perhaps pray more, help more and armchair criticize less.

0
Biggles 0 points ago +1 / -1

I wouldn't hold Trump's endorsement as a vote of confidence coming from Nevada where Trump endorsed Uber RINO Joe Lombardo who covered up the Vegas Shooting who is also anti 2nd amendment for Governor over the Uber MAGA Joey Gilbert. Joey won every county handedly except for Vegas and only because Lombardo was the Sheriff of Vegas. If Trump had cared more about the candidate and less about who was more likely to win, it would have been an incredibly close race that I believe Gilbert would have won with the Trump Bump. Trump's endorsement is not the same thing as Trump. Also look at Dr. Oz. Endorsement is shit half the time which sets Trump up to backstabbed again. It's a lot to manage all of these endorsements, and he is probably getting fed BS around every corner.

0
Cozette 0 points ago +1 / -1

"Obamas fAn giRl"

Personally I'd definitely rather vote for an Obama voter that saw the light, than someone who voted for McCain or Romney. I would NOT vote for anyone who wants Cruz to be president or who supported Cruz over Trump.

Don't care if the story is true so won't ask for linked sources.

8
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 8 points ago +8 / -0

This is a clear path to victory if we get enough based state governments.

5
UNLIMITED_POWER 5 points ago +5 / -0

1

24
South_Florida_Guy 24 points ago +24 / -0

If we had 50 or even close to that DeSantis types in every state, DC would be irrelevant.

7
Dictator_Bob 7 points ago +7 / -0

Which was the original intent - not so much that DC was irrelevant, but that it was the agent of the states.

3
South_Florida_Guy 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yup

1
Cozette 1 point ago +2 / -1

BINGO. A huge part of Trumps MAGA project has always been to wake up and power up the people and their states.

Powerful states makes "DC less powerful, less relevant and less alluring to smart state public servants.

Being irrelevant will make it easier for President Trump to drastically restructure/downsize DC which people will now support because his Drain the Swamp Op revealed how corrupt and dangerous DC is.

22
RonDon2028 22 points ago +22 / -0

Sabbatini or Gaetz should be Gov when he's President in 28

0
Cozette 0 points ago +1 / -1

For what its worth, I'm FOCUSED on survival right now.

2028 is a long way away and may never happen.

If we survive and 2028 happens, I'm unwilling to just accept that since mid 2022, Florida Ron has been President Trumps anointed successor.

If we have time, time will tell. If we don't have time, It won't matter.

I would like to appoint him as temporary custodian governor of Georgia as well until we can get a real Governor in place. How hard could it be to add north Florida to his schedule.

1
PhilipeNegro 1 point ago +1 / -0

Let the fed collapse, and let FL just annex GA. I doubt there will be much resistance, considering the circumstances.

5
LawlAndDisorder 5 points ago +5 / -0

I really want him to groom a replacement so he can eventually move on to the presidency. I am torn.

0

24
JustHereForTheSalmon 24 points ago +24 / -0

DeSantis proving your local and state government is more important than what happens in some swamp a thousand miles away

2
operation_eland 2 points ago +2 / -0

In Russia during the 1990's collapse the governors of the various oblasts and autonomous regions basically were where the balance of state power shifted to by the end of the Yeltsin era. Some of them were even talking about issuing their own currencies because of how bad things in Moscow were. In the end Putin and his KGB men were able to arrest the collapse of the Russian state and power has swung back in Moscows favour.

Given the state of Washington and the fact no one is going to come along and fix it at this point your governor and county sheriff are probably much more important.

He has to. Sooner or later. He needs to bring as many based Floridians with him too. No swamp picks to appease anyone.

-1
Cozette -1 points ago +1 / -2

Presidents only hire their personal staff. The Senate hires the people who make up the Presidents administration, including his cabinet.

Does anyone imagine the Senate Swamp would be nicer to a young, donor dependent, career politician like Ron than legendarily vicious, multi billionaire Don?Does anyone imagine the Swamp Senate would hire MAGA patriots if Ron asked them to?

However, the Senates control of hiring is one reason why Trumps so focused on getting his Senate guys elected rather than Mitch's guys. Especially TRUE RINOs like Oz who aren't part of the Republican Machine, dependent on it or afraid of it.

Not if you're guessing that Trump will win in 2024. DeSantis, when he wins reelection in November, will hold office until 2026, when he is term-limited. That will free him up to go national in 2028.

6
Simpleman440 6 points ago +6 / -0

He could work on a National appointment for Trump 26-28 to stay relevant. Then run for pres in 28.

2

0
Cozette 0 points ago +1 / -1

Zero foreign policy experience. Now international relationships except with Israel. Secretary of State?

1
Injustice 1 point ago +1 / -0

Exactly and thanks for succinctly making my point, that'll be the argument used against him if he runs for president.

0
Cozette 0 points ago +1 / -1

Or he could work to find, raise money for and campaign for Florida candidates and candidates in other states, like Don Jrs been doing since 2017.

Or Ron could in run to be Florida's AG. As a Harvard trained lawyer with some executive experience it might be a good fit. Plus he could network with other states AGs to battle DC and gain more national prominence.

5
LogicalPatriot 5 points ago +5 / -0

There are literally entire counties that voted to cecede from Oregon. Believe me, you'd be able to find peace there.

The North West is out right GORGEOUS out into the Mt country. I absolutely loved it there. I lived 2 hours away from SeaTac. Was an amazing experiance and there's plenty of other conservatives out there.

A lot of the small towns will execute private local justice. Not enough cops to go around so... the town tough guys often handle shit themselves. Buddy of mine, an old Vietnam Vet, has killed 12 some odd people over the years and LITERALLY wood chipped the bodies and disposed of them deep in the woods. Usually pedos, wife beater meth heads, gang bangers that tried to move in.

You're so secluded in the mountains that it's practically 100 years in the past

Update: the prosecutor decided to hold a press conference about a 1983 "cold case" murder, to pretend nothing had happened to his job. He has announced he's "not leaving" despite an executive order that, as worded, should have immediately caused the police to physically evict him and watch him suspiciously while he grabbed his things so he couldn't steal/trash any documents. So did the police actually do that, or what?

https://www.axios.com/local/tampa-bay/2022/08/05/ron-desantis-andrew-warren-suspension

By the way, I see people already spinning this in the Axios article and elsewhere to say, "The dude hasn't actually failed to prosecute anyone yet (only said he wouldn't prosecute), therefore DeSantis is lying by saying the guy won't prosecute!"

DeSantis explained. “So what they do, he will get involved in these Democrat primaries in a Democrat area. He’ll flush a million dollars to get the radical to win the primary, then they usually win the general because of the party affiliation difference in the jurisdiction.”

In my area Soro's & Dems got a LIBERAL judge kicked out because they were not liberal and woke enough. When election time came up they simply threw money and support behind their new Woke Judge. Outgoing judge was not happy about it.
