This is actually good. Gives Gov. DeSantis cause to remove him permanently.

I mean, doesn’t “suspended” imply temporary?

There's people who "just dont like them darkie wetbacks speakin mexican", and there's people who "are concerned about the long term stability of the country and its economic future due to the large influx of illegal immigrants".

Both want the wall.

19
DonuteaterReturns 19 points ago +19 / -0

And both of them need to oppose legal immigration just as much as illegal.

And H1-B Work Visas, leave those fucks in their home countries, companies can build an office there if they want to hire foreigners.

6

We bring in tons of foreigners to fill doctor residencies. There are thousands of stem grads here that aren't able to go to med school because there aren't enough. It's infuriating.

So you're claiming leftists (the first comment) and MAGA people (the second) have a common goal? Of course, leftists want walls only around their houses or communities where MAGA wants them at the border.

Edit: Looks like at least 7 redditards didn't like being called out on their racist ways.

4
Wtf_socialismreally 4 points ago +5 / -1

Willfully obtuse.

There are people who don't like Mexicans at all. It doesn't even have to do with their race, but the culture they breed and the behaviors they exhibit.

Those fall under the first line. And they do exist on our side too.

6
Okguy2 6 points ago +6 / -0

Nothing wrong with disliking certain cultures

4
Fr330rD13 4 points ago +5 / -1

There are generational Americans of Mexican descent that don't like Mexicans. They also want them to speak English and I live in El Paso.... it's 89 percent Hispanic and bilingual.

-1
DontDoxMeBro1 -1 points ago +1 / -2

You mean like the same depravity that "our" culture puts on display to the world? I'm sure there are fantastic Mexicans who condone the bad behaved Mexicans.

Florida Constitution Article IV Section 7:

By executive order stating the grounds and filed with the custodian of state records, the governor may suspend from office any state officer not subject to impeachment, any officer of the militia not in the active service of the United States, or any county officer, for malfeasance, misfeasance, neglect of duty, drunkenness, incompetence, permanent inability to perform official duties, or commission of a felony, and may fill the office by appointment for the period of suspension. The suspended officer may at any time before removal be reinstated by the governor.

I think "suspended" implies that the Governor can put him back if he wants, not that he goes back automatically. There also looks to be a provision later giving the Senate power to reinstate, as well.

24
anotherthing 24 points ago +24 / -0

neglect of duty

There you go. When your job is to prosecute based on the laws of the state, and you decide you're not going to do that, that's pretty clear "neglect of duty".

Based Ron actually taking action. For everyone, this is how you actually "own" or "destroy" someone, you use your power to kick their ass to the curb the minute they try to buck your authority. Not by doing impotent weak shit like writing a strongly worded letter or saying mean things in a press conference.

Remember, the only thing that matters is holding positions of institutional power and using that power to help friends and punish enemies.

23
CAPTAIN_TENDY_PLATE2 23 points ago +24 / -1

So many people on the right are worried about optics, though.

If I were put into a position of real power, like a governor, I'd immediately start firing people, and directing all executive branch agencies to do my fucking bidding. If they weren't with the program, they'd get removed.

I would go 1000% dictator immediately, and if anyone dared to dissent, I would destroy them, too.

People say shit like "well then you're as bad as the ones you're fighting against" and I say, no, no I'm not. You're a pathetic, weak loser if you DON'T do that shit.

They're going to use their power against you/us, so we might as well go 100000x in the opposite direction the second we get power.

You won't have to worry about leftists if you start abusing your authority to throw them all out of helicopters.

12
WhitePhoenix 12 points ago +12 / -0

So many people on the right are worried about optics, though.

I remember when people lost their shit over Abbot sending the illegals to DC. I 100% understood why he did it. You essentially force them to deal with the problem you as a state have been dealing with for years.

If they don't get it well, that's their problem. Ain't ours.

14
RYUIK 14 points ago +14 / -0

evil exists. Destruction of evil should be the duty of the true Human. Destroying evil is not an evil act. Only in jaded narratives does the Light become evil by destroying it. In reality, destruction of evil cleanses the spirit of those Human defenders and allows for the True Reality of Creation to become evident. You understand the becoming them is the act of evil? No the evil has made you think any sort of defense is wrong. Getting this? or do you claim absolute moral authority on right/wrong?

9
DJTrump 9 points ago +9 / -0

Warren's appearance on CBS is a key indicator that he has Deep State backing.

CBS has always been a C.I.A flagship.

This snivelling little shit's cocky arrogance indicates to me that he has powerful backers - the big boys in the back room propping him up, allowing him to puff up his feathers in public. His defiance reeks of C.I.A support.

I'm sure DeSantis knew this - and it only reinforces my admiration for the man and his courage.

Section 1. Andrew Warren is hereby suspended from the public office that he now holds, to wit: State Attorney for the 13th Judicial Circuit of Florida.

Section 2. Andrew Warren is hereby prohibited from performing any official act, duty, or function of public office; from receiving any pay or allowance; from being entitled to any of the emoluments or privileges of public office during the period of this suspension, which period shall be from the effective date hereof, until a further executive order is issued, or as otherwise provided by law.

Section 3. As oft he signing of this Executive Order, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, assisted by other law enforcement agencies as necessary, is requested to: (i) assist in the immediate transition of Andrew Warren from the Office of the State Attorney for the 13th Judicial Circuit of Florida, with access only to retrieve his personal belongings; and (ii) ensure that no files, papers, documents, notes, records, computers, or removable storage media are removed from the Office of the State Attorney for the 13th Judicial Circuit of Florida by Andrew Warren or any ofhis staff.

3
The_Emperor 3 points ago +3 / -0

That's an order. Was there the legal basis as a preface?

6
Brellin 6 points ago +6 / -0

The legal basis is that the dude flat out publicly stated he would not follow the law and prosecute criminals according to the law. He likewise had previous history where he'd failed to enforce the law by purposely choosing not prosecuting rioters. But really it's the public statement that he wasn't going to follow the law that got him shitcanned. By law DeSantis has every right to dismiss him for gross negligence, because he's literally a DA saying he will pick and choose what laws to enforce, which is not something he's allowed to do. If he doesn't like the laws then he can work to try to convince the Florida legislature to change them, but he doesn't get to determine what laws are and are not followed.

By making a public statement saying he wouldn't prosecute people for violating certain laws he opened himself up to being removed from office by DeSantis, which is fully and completely within the bounds of the rights of the Florida governor as per their state constitution. This DA probably though he could talk shit and maybe get some 'good press' for 'fighting the power', having apparently learned nothing from when Disney tried to do that only to get their shit pushed in by DeSantis. He tried that shit with the one governor in the country that actually appears to have the balls to do something about these assholes.

3
tired-of-crap 3 points ago +3 / -0

He keeps screwing around like this and he's going to get removed or suspended from the Florida bar which is going to prevent him from being an attorney and doing anything....

2
perma-maga 2 points ago +2 / -0

Read the entire order, I only excerpted the very end.

1
Benedict_pence 1 point ago +1 / -0

Go watch the press conference gov did on this. It goes into all the detail about how this is legal and actually required.

1
WooseTheMoose 1 point ago +1 / -0

WHEREAS, Article IV of the Florida Constitution vests the State's supreme executive power in the Governor and requires the Governor to take care that the laws ofFlorida are faithfully executed. See Art. IV,§ l(a), Fla. Const.; and

WHEREAS, in furtherance ofthe Governor's executive responsibility, the Governor may suspend from office any state officer not subject to impeachment for that officer's malfeasance, misfeasance, neglect of duty, drunkenness, incompetence, permanent inability to perform official duties, or commission of a felony. See Art. IV,§ 7(a), Fla. Const.

The argument is that DeSantis is obligated to make sure laws are faithfully executed and the state attorney was not faithfully executing the laws. Therefore DeSantis is obligated to remove him and appoint a new state attorney.

3
Eatinglue 3 points ago +3 / -0

It was a more northern variety, I’m in North Dakota, I’m sorry I can’t remember the exact one. Biggest key is your moisture concentration once harvested, keep it at 14.5 to 15 % for ideal popping. Not too hard, corn likes to be at that content if stored in the house. My favorite popcorn flavors are black in color, but I haven’t successfully grown them here, they like to grow for more summer days than I have here. I’m kicking myself for not recording what I grew so much of, because it worked out awesome for me. I’m also a farmer, so ask me anything. I can literally talk corn for hours.

3
RedAltoids 3 points ago +3 / -0

Thanks for getting back to me. I probably wouldn't go with northern variety. I'll keep you in mind for any corn related questions. I'm off to bed now though, I think.

2
tired-of-crap 2 points ago +2 / -0

The state attorney that was removed has alleged the Florida constitution contains A provision allowing abortion at any gestational age. That is not what the Florida supreme court said.

Even prior to the adoption of the privacy amendment Florida law has contained a limit to gestational age that an abortion can take place. All the legistlature did recently was lower that gestational age limit because of advancements in medicine that allow younger and younger babies to survive.

1
Roadpower 1 point ago +1 / -0

Thank you for explaining what is going on there. That attorney is either insane or a fool if he thinks it is okay to perform an abortion at any point in the gestation. Maybe someone should inform him that the human heart starts beating at twenty two DAYS.

My prior point was that fifteen weeks was already ridiculously far into the pregnancy.
