The AR-15 doesn't identify as a gun, but rather a teaching tool, so therefore it is fine.

North Carolina is a weird place, they are simultaneously the most Woke and Based place in the country. Every time you think they got their head on straight the pull a u-turn and head into Crazytown again. If North Carolina was a person, it would be your ex bipolar girlfriend on five different psychiatric drugs. So drag shows with ar15’s it is then.

After 20 years in SC, I moved here 7 months ago and this is so accurate. I live in an area 30 minutes from a liberal city and you would have no idea. I hear rifle rounds outside from a nearby range as often as I hear the wind. “Vote Trump” stickers are plastered on side road speed limit signs. EVERY home in my 47 home community is flying an American flag. In so many ways it feels like the most based place on earth. But, then, our governor. And the cities.

The big cities are the problem. Madison is cool. I used to go cliff jumping there. I grew up in Greensboro and it's sad to see how much of a liberal shit hole it has become. I moved to Silver Valley some years ago because it's redneck af here and I love it.

You and me both. They do the shootings at the schools because they never learned to read and are getting revenge on bad schooling. If only we could give the teachers union a 50% raise, it would all go away.

Meanwhile, ban any and all teachers unions.

1
FishPasteLarry 1 point ago +2 / -1

The problem isn't so much the union pay but the fact the teachers rely on the union to negotiate their pay. Unions do not have your interests at heart but how much they can slide by to make you think they do while they take in the union fees and payoffs from the companies who save money by agreeing to a less than optimal pay.

1
Owmyballz 1 point ago +1 / -0

it goes down to the Federal and State government paying teachers who then use their money to fund the union that uses their money to buy candidates. Its one thing on the private sector but you can't do that in the government sector.

I wonder why the left hasn't tried to put a gun free zone sign in Ukraine. I'm sure Putin would see it and stop.

2

I think by law Putin would have to leave or shoot the sign so he could claim that it was not legible during his special operation to destroy the USA funded bioweapon labs

It might be a better idea to install two-way mirrors with armed guards behind them. Years ago Houston had a rash of robberies targeting dry cleaners and convenience stores. They installed 2 way mirrors and hired off duty cops w/shotguns to sit behind them. A few shotgun blasts later and all the stores had to do was install the mirrors and robberies plummeted.

Women have been teaching for centuries and this was not a problem. Fix the issues with fatherless homes and you will see more quality women coming to teach your children. Or, be involved in your child's teaching. My parents knew every teacher I had by first name & I was never lead astray.

3
flashersenpai 3 points ago +3 / -0

Women have been teaching for centuries

I don't buy that for a second. The teacher sex ratios in grade school alone have changed to be mostly women in recent history.

Fix the issues with fatherless homes

Which itself is saying "fix women". Do you genuinely believe that the majority of fatherless homes are because the dad doesn't want to be a father?

-1
Millipede1776 -1 points ago +2 / -3

There are many men who are cowards and run from a woman they impregnated. I do think there is an issue with promiscuous women - hell I think there is A HUGE issue with promiscuity everywhere in our society. But I do not think the issues lie with women alone.

3
TheAnswerIs3Letters 3 points ago +3 / -0

But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.

0
Millipede1776 0 points ago +1 / -1

Galatians 3:28 "There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female**, for you are all one in Christ Jesus."

Women are supposed to be subservient to their husbands, but they are not lesser than man. I do believe that Men should teach scripture, hence why we have Pastors/Fathers. But Paul was also writing strictly about a specific church setting, and disorder in worship. He spoke about the concern with women teaching false doctrines, which was an issue at the time. In Romans 16:1-6 Paul mentions greetings to friends & workers. He mentions specifically many women who were involved in leadership and service (Junia for example) who is listed as an apostle. In 1 Corinthians 11:5 Paul also gives specific instruction to women regarding etiquette "when they pray and prophesy," which indicates he has no issue with women teaching.

So, the way I interpret Timothy 2:9-15 is that this was contextually based on woman who were boisterous, loud, and acting above their standing. He goes on to mention the extravagant clothing these woman wore, and the attitude they portrayed. Paul is addressing women in a specific community. Now I do think Liberal women fit the description Paul set forth on not being proper to teach, and to stay silent. I do not believe they fit the later descriptions of women he endorses teaching.

2
TheAnswerIs3Letters 2 points ago +4 / -2

Women are lesser than men. Read some Saint Thomas Aquinas who is way more versed in Christianity than you.

3
Millipede1776 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'd rather just read God's word itself.

1
HoppyHap 1 point ago +1 / -0

There are some flaws in your thinking. The 12 apostles, also referred to as the 12 disciples or simply “the Twelve,” were Jesus Christ’s 12 closest followers. Those to be considered for the awesome responsibility of an apostle had to have been personally called by Christ, taught by him directly for several years (as Paul would be), and seen him alive after his resurrection (Acts 1:17, 22, 25).

NKJV Romans 16:7 Greet Andronicus and Junia, my countrymen and my fellow prisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me. NIV Romans 16:7 Greet Andronicus and Junia, my fellow Jews who have been in prison with me. They are outstanding among the apostles, and they were in Christ before I was. (NASB95)Romans 16:7 Greet Andronicus and Junias, my kinsmen and my fellow prisoners, who are outstanding among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.

Certainly from the introduction Junia was male. There are some translations that has them as relatives of Paul as well.

Women did serve as deacons? Yes The office of elder is often ignored in the modern corporate church, the office of deacon is often misunderstood. Based on the New Testament, the role of the deacon is mainly to be a servant. The church needs deacons to provide logistical and material support so that the elders can focus on the Word of God and prayer.

3
censorthisss 3 points ago +3 / -0

You're absolutely right that CC is better, but someone knowing they're on the property might give them pause to enter the building. They won't know how easily a teacher could grab a rifle and use it.

So I think this is better than nothing.

2
catvideos3 2 points ago +2 / -0

A sling is much more reasonable for an AR than CC

1

11
BabbleRabble 11 points ago +11 / -0

The more the word gets out that schools have ARs in them, the less likely folks gonna go all stupid in there.

4
Wtf_socialismreally 4 points ago +4 / -0

It's a solid deterrent.

Concerns about leaving AR-15s unattended on a school property though. Kids really enjoy picking up mischievous skills; a safe may not be effective against concerted effort, especially not a safe that any government body would go for.

Concealed carry would definitely be more effective, or even open carry AR-15s on guards.

8
WhitePhoenix 8 points ago +8 / -0

While it's a good dick waving thing, concealed carry is WAY more effective. If a shooter thinks you're a soft target and you bust out your Glock and pop a cap in his ass it'll make more potential fuckers think twice.

And yes, EVERYONE should be concealed carrying. EVERYONE.

2
fusreedah 2 points ago +2 / -0

2
MagaChamp253 2 points ago +2 / -0

I would hope so, but from reading the article I got the impression that no one touches them cept the responders. Would be nice to learn they're accessible by trained teachers

1
Zordly 1 point ago +1 / -0

10 minutes after he's (hopefully) already dead from a concerned father who didn't wait for the officer to figure out how to get there and then to open it, so he brought his own gun from his house nearby, after hearing the screaming children being murdered, while all the teachers crowded around the water cooler - I mean gun 'safe'.

3
Vox_Dobad 3 points ago +3 / -0

So, a gun locker. That will be known to the public. That any cunt shooter will neutralize first.

I mean, it's a step in the right direction. But the ONLY good solution is allowing any adult on school grounds to carry, and to post signs advertising it

2
Patriot9 2 points ago +2 / -0

I wonder if you can put other guns in there or just “ar-15”?

2
Mercury_Frog 2 points ago +2 / -0

As much as I love guns... This is just stupid...

We know the problem children.

Its time we open reform schools and force the parents of troubled kids to send them to live 24/7 in basically a military type school that can give them hope and treatment. Its clear the parents cant and should be held liable for the kids actions.

Its no surprise when the school shooting happens, its not like some random kid just snaps and bring a gun to school one day. Its a long trouble history and often they have a trail of paperwork of behavioral issues.

0
flashersenpai 0 points ago +1 / -1

force the parents of troubled kids to send them

fuck off statist

2
Mercury_Frog 2 points ago +2 / -0

For most people Public Schools are the only place they experiance violence in their life.

Why can't we remove the 1 or 2 students out of 200-300 that are causing issues.

When I was growing up the troubled students made it to high school before they could finally drop out. Along the way it was a nightmare for myself and others who had to interact with them. I still remember one faking pulling a gun out and shooting me...

Nothing could be done about that kid I just talked about, his dad was a coke addict drug dealer and the mom a single mom who "worked" all day. The best thing for that kid would be to ship them off to a military school. Parents can't handle him and its not fair to the child.

2
Bullet3250 2 points ago +2 / -0

They should put these lockers 'all over the school' And the employees who can - should practice with the exact same gun on a regular basis.

2
Snoman 2 points ago +3 / -1

1
Zordly 1 point ago +1 / -0

It's a win-win though. Now they have stashes of weapons mapped out, in case any of their operators need to arm up. They don't need to physically interact with the mark, just give him the combo and they can go pick it up himself.

2
Here_I_Be 2 points ago +2 / -0

I get where they're coming from, but it's far better (and costs far fewer lives) to be proactive rather than reactive. Need armed security in the building to stop the murderer before they get in the building, not after.

2

1
Datamancer 1 point ago +1 / -0

Not sure about this. Depends on the weapon weight and size I suppose. If the school teachers are mostly female, carrying and firing a full size AR might be a bit difficult. The counter argument to that is that the engagement time would be short. That is true but you still need to provide a weapon that can be fired accurately in the confined spaces of a school. I was thinking more along the lines of an AR pistol in 300blk. A little smaller and lighter than a full AR, more rounds and range than a pistol. Or maybe something like an MP-5. Would be interested in what people who have done urban combat think.
