It's called wisdom. Something many liberals and normies sorely lack.

Oback_Barama 6 points ago +6 / -0

Intelligence is knowing that a tomato is technically a fruit.

Wisdom is knowing not to put a tomato in a fruit salad.

6
Barbs 6 points ago +7 / -1

Exactly this.

Intelligence is knowing shit, wisdom is knowing when to apply it.

Street smarts as well.

Masters degree here, knew covid was bullshit with the mask debate and how much money people were making off of it from the start.

Always follow the money.

WakingKnowledge [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I have 2 masters

scruffyusp 3 points ago +3 / -0

That means you get the piece of cake from the corner with all the frosting on it and you get a whole crisper drawer in the fridge. I'm envious. All I get with one is a large fry for the price of a medium.

WakingKnowledge [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

I don't even use the majority of what I learned in those two M.A.'s. basically, I am an appraiser and salesman.

2
scruffyusp 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, I learned in a masters what I should have in the BA.

Cheers fren.

Barbs 1 point ago +2 / -1

Same. I got the degree and the debt, and other than learning how to learn I didn’t gain any utility out of it.

Ultimately it got me an entry-level job at my current employer during the 2008-2010 recession, so it wasn’t a complete waste. My cubicle mate at the time was also new, and she had a Masters in communications.

Crazy times.

I have a masters, people too often confuse education with intelligence when they are very different things.

Lots of dumb as shit PhDs out there also, they just know a lot about one subject often at the expense of knowing about many other things.

Besides that the longer people spend in the education system the less able they are to think for themselves.

3
WakingKnowledge [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Too true. Sometimes I will be arguing a subject and they will say, "well you are not a doctor!" and I will say. 'Thank God". That is why I never went for my doctorate. I never saw profit in it.

3
Rosarian 3 points ago +3 / -0

There is education and then there is indoctrination. I believe to be truly educated, you need to be able to find direct sources of information and be able to think for yourself and draw your own conclusions. Parroting some professor's opinions or memorizing propaganda is not an education.

2
Crappydatum 2 points ago +2 / -0

Masters degrees in woke subjects like gender studies are less than worthless and don't indicate anything except playing parrot

2
Retard_Strength 2 points ago +2 / -0

they indicate that the holder is an easy mark that willingly parts with theys/thems cash as long as it is brand 'woke'

2
RedPillosopher1776 2 points ago +2 / -0

A college degree in 2022 only proves you're capable of submitting to authority and memorizing mostly useless information.

Some people got the Covid-19 vaccine because they trusted President Trump and he repeatedly told them to.

6
coinneach007 6 points ago +6 / -0

And some people thought for themselves and passed on the jab. It is called critical thinking and everyone should practice it.

2
Inquisitor_Corvus 2 points ago +2 / -0

Vastly underrated.

WakingKnowledge [S] 0 points ago +1 / -1

he never got one. He got regeneron. Maybe he did not even know the extent of it?

3
TermLimits 3 points ago +3 / -0

He proudly said he got the clot shot at rallies until he realized he needed to not mention that topic anymore.

2
JakeTheDoggo 2 points ago +3 / -1

I never said President Trump got it, only that he told us to get vaccine-AIDS.

Handshake2 3 points ago +4 / -1

Stop posting truth. He also supported red flag laws and signed the first gun PART confiscation/ban in history.

Sad, but true.

Jeremiah 8:9 (NKJV) The wise men are ashamed, They are dismayed and taken. Behold, they have rejected the word of the LORD; So what wisdom do they have?

2
Fusion360 2 points ago +2 / -0

"But it was on the news, the radio, Television and they are playing at on the intercom system at Walmart and the Grocery store, everyone is wearing masks, so it must be true!"

2
lonestarnuts 2 points ago +2 / -0

College is a sham anyway. Trade schools are actually useful.

2
Talon54 2 points ago +2 / -0

So true. While I have a degree, obtained while I was in the military, and it was necessary to get the I did after the military it was never actually needed to perform the job.

I also completed the equivalent of tech school when I first joined the military and that has been useful in many ways. I later actually taught in the school where I was a student. Sadly my career field no longer exists because the Air Force no longer believes in actually repairing electronics in shops on bases. Now they just swap black boxes and send the malfunctioning box to depot for repair. It saves money in the short run but it degrades the ability to successfully prosecute a war, but you can bet some colonel retired as a general for screwing the USAF.

2
Bonami 2 points ago +2 / -0

True. People at the bottom deal with hard facts every day. They often get by by not doing what they are told.

People in the middle are sheltered from much of life's ups and downs and have progressed by doing what they were told.

What this doesn't mention is people at the very top, the very brightest share skepticism with those at the bottom, they also often do not do what they are told.

There is a rule of thumb that applies to groups. If a group is threatened, one third will run, one third will surrender and one third will fight. Same difference.

True intelligence is not posting potato-res memes.

1
WakingKnowledge [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

I can make the resolution even lower if you want but I dare no go as low as your IQ because then nobody would be able to read it!

2
gorillachannel 2 points ago +2 / -0

Good one.

1
WakingKnowledge [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

That's a good sport. Most would lash out. You are steeled. That is a compliment.

When your education no longer teaches logic, critical thinking, and useful skills things tend to go downhill.

1
WakingKnowledge [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

My college literally made me take courses in logic.

1
dr_gonzo 1 point ago +2 / -1

Surveys show that 90% of college freshman say the #1 reason they're going to college is to "make more money".

On average, Democrats are better educated...yet Republicans make more money.

So you tell me who's smarter. The people who are failing to achieve the ultimate goal and going 100k in debt in the process, or the people who achieve the goal debt free?

(Oh and btw, libertarians are better educated than the Democrats AND they make more money AND they have higher IQs)

1
Groundpounder 1 point ago +1 / -0

There are different measures and levels of intelligence. Academia has largely been whittled down to “who can regurgitate indoctrination most effectively?”

2
bangbus 2 points ago +2 / -0

Regurgitate and escalate. “I see your argument for institutional racism, and I raise it thusly ‘all white people are racist.’”

1
Groundpounder 1 point ago +1 / -0

Lol. It’s really quite stunning how the “anti racists” can be so openly racist. All brought to you by the coordinated efforts of academia and mainstream media

0
Ayahuasca_One 0 points ago +1 / -1

Nope

Intelligence is about establishing adequate goals and accomplishing what you need to do

A godly worldview makes everything clear

-1
Athena86 -1 points ago +2 / -3

That’s not the definition of educated. Maybe some people had more common sense than others.

yes, in that your immune system is destroyed by the jabs, yes. so, you die of everything that your immune system normally kills off and then if that is not enough the hospital protocol kills you the rest of he way.

It boils down to the fact that Covid is real, but our response to it was a manufactured overreaction of epic proportions. My vaxxed coworkers have been randomly catching Covid lately, and even though it kicked their asses, having gone through it they’re finally starting to agree with me that maybe destroying our society and the economy wasn’t the best course of action.

People are still scared shitless of it until they finally catch it, then they’re like “wtf?” The biggest red pill for some people is not only catching Covid, but realizing that it was nothing like the “experts” said it would be.
