On the same ticket, illegal according to the electoral college. Both from Florida

Barbs 38 points ago +40 / -2

DeSantis will coast to re-election in November, so he’ll be leaving the Governor’s office in January 2027, which sets him up perfectly to slide right into the 2028 campaign.

He’s also said that Florida is his first priority, so if he bails halfway through his term to run for President, that likely won’t sit will with his constituents either.

The Trump 2024 / DeSantis 2028 plan makes the most sense from a strategic perspective. Plus we’ll need Ron to keep a lid on Florida in the next election. There’s still a lot of people trying to undermine what he’s accomplished so far.

Not illegal. Just have to sacrifice some electoral college votes I think.

3
COnDEMnED 3 points ago +3 / -0

They’d have to give up Florida

1
FreedomDeliveries 1 point ago +1 / -0

How does that work? Is it assumed they win Florida? are other candidates allowed to count florida? I could see that being an easy win for dems if they get a repub ticket both from a state with a large fraud network, the repubs then don't even fight the fraud because they can't use the electoral votes anyway, and the dems get a free flip of a conservative state.

I keep hearing this. So I looked it up. Not true.

10
COnDEMnED 10 points ago +10 / -0

Look again. Article II

Article II states: “The electors shall meet in their respective states, and vote by ballot for two persons, of whom one at least shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves.”

4
WhiteHotChiliPepper 4 points ago +4 / -0

It did briefly surface as an issue in 2000, when George W. Bush from Texas picked Dick Cheney, who had been living in Texas, to be his running mate. Four days before he was chosen by Bush, Cheney simply changed his residency to Wyoming.

5
MsAnthropic 5 points ago +5 / -0

Trump has many options for running mate - De Santis, MTG, Kari Lake, Alex Jones…. it’s a long list.

5
cyberrigger 5 points ago +5 / -0

I agree.

You know that the left is going to try to take out Trump again.

Trump needs a good backup.

3
Herpawinski 3 points ago +3 / -0

If Desantis is VP, the left might be afraid to actually take out Trump. They'd continue with the fake theatrics, but they wouldn't really try to remove him, because that would leave them facing Desantis, and they're learning he's a man you don't want to piss off.

4
2Fangz 4 points ago +4 / -0

Inevitable.

But it is going to be a fantastic primary season, because rather than each man racing to the middle vying for fence-sitters and left leaning voters who are only partially retarded, Trump and DeSantis will push each other farther RIGHT. Each campaign is more than smart enough to realize that there aren't votes to be garnered in the middle that will make up for their losses in their far right base that they will suffer with a centrists campaign. Because the far right will not turn out for anything less than a GEOTUS.

4
schiff_for_brains 4 points ago +4 / -0

Every primary is a race to capture the idealogs and then a walk back to the middle. This season will be no different.

8
2Fangz 8 points ago +8 / -0

I followed 2016 closely, and I don't remember Trump back pedaling to the middle, in fact, I recall that he grew even more savage.

3
SurrenderFreeman 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'm good for either running honestly.

64
Grindelwald 64 points ago +65 / -1

Without Trump there would not be a DeSantis or other young conservative leaders. They needed Trump to set the movement in motion and they still do for a time. Trump has already acknowledged and encouraged them to carry on,

26
Barbs 26 points ago +27 / -1

President Trump is still sharp as a tack, and has proven himself on a national level. Twice.

DeSantis is also awesome, but is playing in a different dynamic because he has the home field advantage. He’s a red governor in a red state with a red legislature. He also has a state party that’s got his back.

Change any one of those factors and his star wouldn’t shine nearly as bright. GEOTUS had none of that and still managed to get shit done.

4
Emodius 4 points ago +4 / -0

Completely irrelevant. Trump is the guy and doesn't have dementia

3
Grindelwald 3 points ago +3 / -0

42
Freetrial69 42 points ago +43 / -1

I hate this take of "Trump needs to go to the Sidelines to let other conservatives take the wheel."

N O

Trump Birth the MAGA movement from the Ashes of the Tea Party and other Grassroots Conservative movements. As much as I like Desantis, the man still have to prove himself with Florida, plus he needs to make Florida a Perma Red State before we should even CONSIDER him for a Federal Position. I don't doubt that eventually we'll see a President Desantis. But letting Trump have his next term, strengthening the power of MAGA, and then bringing on the likes of Desantis to then take the Reins once we have a more stable and free Election, is what needs to happen.

This take of "Trump is too old and weak" is reductionist and really only seeks to split the MAGA movement. I'm kind of disappointed in Matt, even if this post might be older.

22
Shadilady [S] 22 points ago +22 / -0

I'm very disappointed in Matt. This post was from Instagram yesterday and it's pissed me off for a day now. He was getting wrecked in the top comments and now that has conveniently changed. Benny Shapiro who is generally pretty pissy about Trump, probably made him do it. I think it is an effort to ticket split and tells me they are pretty out of touch considering all the major Trump endorsement wins in the primaries.

12
IncredibleMrE1 12 points ago +12 / -0

Matt Walsh is an OG NeverTrumper. He worked at The Blaze in 2015, and the only person there who was a more rabid Trump hater than Walsh was Cheeto Face Glenn Beck himself.

7
Freetrial69 7 points ago +7 / -0

Yeah it's frustrating. I don't understand why there are people like Trump's lost his Mojo just because he didn't get two terms. The guy got FUCKED out of his second term by the Machine.

Sad thing is, the Machine ran on a fuck Trump term, and now that they don't have Trump to fight against, they've fallen apart, because being Anti-Whatever isn't a good strat politically.

Trump is the best Candidate to fight the machine. Desantis has done good work, and he'd honestly be a fine president, the thing that people have to remember, is that they'd do ANYTHING to kneecap Desantis. Having him in Florida, turning it to a perpetual Red state will be a good thing when he finally runs, cause he'll have that base behind his back. Right now it's just not there yet, but in 6 more years, it might be there. Along with other States putting MAGA candidates in seats of power locally.

4
Omnes_Omnibus 4 points ago +4 / -0

Matt has been saying this for awhile. He's not coy about his opinions. It doesn't matter, once Trump gets the nomination he will be behind him.

0
1776timesinfinity 0 points ago +4 / -4

Benny Shapiro who is generally pretty pissy about Trump, probably made him do it.

It isn't a political conspiracy every time a public figure you generally agree with says something you don't agree with.

2
pauljr74 2 points ago +2 / -0

exactly, theres a reason the media and politicians on both sides don't want Trump to run. Trump 2024!!!!

-5
Geralt_of_Rivia1 -5 points ago +2 / -7

And without Reagan our country would have collapsed under stagflation, boomers would still be hippies, and we would be in general disarray.

That doesnt change that Reagan had dementia when he left office and damn well could not have ran a third term.

2
Freetrial69 2 points ago +3 / -1

He couldn't of run a third term even if he wanted to. Cause it wouldn't be allowed due to the Constitution.

The problem with your example, is that Trump has only had one of his two terms. Regan had two Terms without any pause.

Edit: Your Example would work Better with somebody like Teddy. Who would of been 100% a better President than Wilson.

42
TheGreenDragon 42 points ago +43 / -1

Nothing wrong with Trump's age, and young people know him and love him. They don't know DeSantis and the Black and Latin vote may not come out for Ron the way they will for Trump. No we need Trump one more time to clean house and then Ron can have his 8 years.

32
AmericanJawa 32 points ago +32 / -0

If I'm not mistaken, Trump stands out as being the one man known to have left office and not only not aged, but possibly look like he got younger while in office.

15
TheLeftLies 15 points ago +15 / -0

That is because every night that man went to bed next to a beautiful wife and with a clear conscious.

The more recent pervious presidents were evil liars who sold their souls and America. I bet their evil deeds kept them up at night. Not mention to look at the last few First Ladies. Who wouldn’t age next to Michelle or Hillary?

20

Having spent time around those in their 50s and 60s who have, and those in their 90s who never experienced any decline until they died, it depends on the person.

Warp Speed was, and so forever IS, part of the Trump brand. That's why he will never fully back off of the vaxx. It's Trump 101 to project eveything associated with the brand at all costs. It was a feather in his cap when the left was crying that it could never be done, so Trump will always treat it as a success.

He also likes ketchup with his steak, so there's two things I know and can admit he's dead wrong on.

6
Pepper2 6 points ago +7 / -1

I like warp speed, hate the vaccine, despise the mandates and not allowing the companies to be liable for injury.

3
Freetrial69 3 points ago +3 / -0

I want to add onto this.

Trump never advocated for "Everybody" to get the Vaccine. He made it an option for people to choose. Just like any other medical procedure, you talk with your doctor. That was literally his words.

It was the Dems who then took the Vaccine, and forced everybody to get 3 Boosters with it.

It was long enough to shutdown businesses forever and he also allowed counties and schools to mandate masks for well over a year while he declared a fake state of emergency for federal funding. So DeSantis did sellout Floridians for federal funding for over a year.

25
basedBlumpkin 25 points ago +27 / -2

Daily Wire started as an anti Trump platform. Don’t ever forget that. Once Trump got elected they played nice for 4 years because otherwise their business would have been destroyed.

Also not one of them said a thing about election fraud. According to Shapiro 2020 is literally the most secure election ever and was a referendum on Trump.

Lately they’ve been letting their real feelings be known. Don’t forget it this time.

19
FitOfficial 19 points ago +19 / -0

Bingo! Daily Wire is not America First. They are not MAGA.

They are Ben Shapiro first and nothing more.

14
Barbs 14 points ago +15 / -1

They’re a hive of Neocons. The only time they praised President Trump was when one of his goals happened to align with neoconservative principals, otherwise they’d constantly criticize like they were better than him.

As evidenced in Matt’s tweet above. They act like they know what’s best for the party, not the guy who pulled the Republicans’ half-dead corpse out of the grave, dusted it off, and gave it new life.

Always keep in mind that were it not for GEOTUS, our pick in 2016 would have likely been Jeb! or Ted Cruz. That’s the trajectory they were on when President Trump turned the entire ship around.

8
FitOfficial 8 points ago +8 / -0

Crowder's starting to ease into that same bullshit too. It's sad these people who built their names around the resurgence of the GOP under Trump don't understand they're ultimately responsible for swinging the pendulum away in the first place.

3
Shadilady [S] 3 points ago +4 / -1

Trump came in like the Kool-Aid Man in 2016. I'll never forget it. It was most certainly supposed to be Jeb! against "Her".

3
Barbs 3 points ago +4 / -1

When we beat their cheating by such a massive margin that they literally had to shut down counting, and manufacture votes by the millions over the next month to give Biden the “win?”

We were all awake. You should be asking why the Republicans didn’t say a word the whole time that was going down, when they knew what was going on.

We overcame the cheating by a huge margin, and I don’t think they can make up enough votes in 2024 for it to be believable, because that’s going to be even bigger. They already destroyed Obama’s vote record to rig it for Biden, they don’t have anywhere else to go.

DeSantis has plenty of opportunity to be president in the future. He’s very young and has a long career ahead of him.

It’s not random, it’s the Roger Stone and Lincoln Project operation. Remove Trump, control the MAGA voting block, put them back to sleep with a controlled figurehead.

15
seeyouonjan6th 15 points ago +15 / -0

Roger Stone is vocal about his unwavering support for Trump and he's often critical of Desantis. Lincoln Project was all in on prosecution of Roger Stone.

1
COnDEMnED 1 point ago +1 / -0

I’ve reached out to the sources of said footage. Waiting for a response.

0
COnDEMnED 0 points ago +1 / -1

He’s openly talked about DeSantis/Flynn as an alternative for over a year. This operation has been going on for over a year. You should see the horrific things Roger says about Trump when he thinks nobody’s recording him. Maybe I’ll be able to find at least one of the bad ones and post it for your own eyes.

2
Hambonemcgee 2 points ago +2 / -0

Stone is on Infowars constantly, and although he has talked about Flynn and Desantis, I haven't heard anything critical of Trump, beyond Warpspeed or his staffing mistakes. I would love to get sauce showing otherwise.

1

I’m trying. Reached out to the two I know have it. Garrett Ziegler, I know you’re on these boards too, if you have this footage, could you please hit me up or link it on your telegram?

If you have an hour, this video goes over many relevant topics, with receipts.

Why the fuck would he give up a guaranteed win and 4 more years to make Florida even better, and then 2 free years to campaign for president, to instead campaign for both President and Governor?

Fucking THINK people, I know we're not this dumb! If you don't want Trump in 24, find someone available to run!

Trump is the rightful president that had it stolen, he deserves his 2nd term.

Or, he can do both. Win 2024, and use the influence to support the younger conservative leaders like he already has. I think someone hacked his account. I haven't seen Matt Walsh be so illogical. Trump in his eighties can still curb stomp any of his competitors.

haha I had this thought as well. How do you call out "age" while we have the most decrepit 🥔 running our county right now, while Trump just transparently shows his ability on the reg, with a rally of at least 10-20k (some places a hell of a lot more) twice a month during this primary season?!
